Date of Scene: 12 April 2021
Location: Garden Shrine
Synopsis: Koga accidently summons Saeko and asks for divine guidence.
Cast of Characters: Koga Miura, Saeko

Koga Miura has posed:
Despite being a racer, Koga still stayed in shape. After all, that was part of being a racer even if it was the car or motorcycle doing the work. The young man was currently jogging in the park, not particularly fast for what he's giving off, but he does pause as on one lap he notices something a bit odd. A shrine that probably shouldn't be in the US.

Jogging in place for a moment in his track suit, he looks it over for a few minutes, then shrugs and reaches to a pocket. He looks for anything that might be used for offerings before fishing in his pockets. Finally, he pulls out a small disposable container. That has sake in it of all things and clearly labelled as such. Probably not the usual offering, but it's put there and a small clasp of his hands along with a prayer for good fortune.

Then he stands up and sighs a bit. "Reminds me a bit of home." He says in Japanese.

Saeko has posed:
There was very little that Saeko knew of motorcycles or cars, such things didn't really fall into the purview of her divine knowledge. She knew how they worked and she'd ridden in them or on them before of course, but the ability to teleport did sort of leave one less familier with more tradiational means of transportation. The vision that creeps across her senses from her dwelling however does have the Tenko sitting up from her comfortable lounging, a tilt of her head at the strange sensation. More than human perhaps, but it didn't -feel- like a mutant at first glance.

Then there was the offering! Saeko had already expanded and bent the 'rules' as it were, it allowed her to aid more than just the most devout and knowledgable in Shinto to anyone who cried out for aid to a vague and unknown saviour. So an offering in the right place, of sake no less? It was practically nostalgic!

A faint flutter of the breeze, a flicker of light on the peripheral of Koga's senses and a voice speaks up from behind him, soft and feminine. "Do you know," she speaks in Japanese, "You're the first to offer sake at this shrine? It's usually food or money..."

Often when she appeared there was camoflague, a guise of a normal woman. Today however, the divine beauty's inhuman features, the coiling tails, those markings and her ears were easily on display. Wrapped in her usual short yukata that showed a little more than traditional, the tenko tilted her head as if her own appearance were perfectly normal. "It's a nice touch."

Koga Miura has posed:
Koga stiffens at hearing the Japanese voice. But well... he's seen a few things. And that he was the first to offer sake? Well, that is something. He turns around as he looks to see who is behind him and his eyes widen a little. "Ah... umm..."

Well, he is definitely flustered and unsure of what he is seeing. "I... keep it on hand for reasons..." He says. "I apologize, I did not mean to ah... summon, I guess? It was just a habit I had when I was back home."

Of course, in his head he's probably trying to figure out if maybe he drank the rest of the sake bottle he's sure should be stashed away in his bus somewhere. Or someone slipped him something. That's just in the air, and the look of disbelief as well as confusion replaces the flustering. "Just... what are you, if you do not mind my asking?"

Saeko has posed:
The Tenko shifts, standing from the nearby bench on which she'd appeared and rested reclining, a lazy smoothing of her hand over her attire before she folds her hands lightly. Inhuman irises sweep over Koga, assessing and taking in detail as one would look at any new curiousity. His question however? That makes the woman giggle aloud, a hand coming up to her mouth for a moment before shaking her head.

"You've come to a shrine of Inari, made an offering, asked for fortune...and you do not know one of Inari's divine messangers when I appear without guise? Another accidental summoning?"

A little twitch of one of those ears atop her head and the fox-featured woman lowers the hand to gesture to herself.

"I am Saeko, Kitsune and Tenko of Inari."

Koga Miura has posed:
"A... Kitsune and Tenko?" Koga looks thoughtful, then shakes his head. "Most strangest thing I have seen yet, and I saw a man changing into animals the other day." He huffs a bit.

Then it occurs to him, "Wait, no one has left sake before? Do they even leave rice cakes or fried tofu?" He looks skeptical at that one.

And at least it's getting over him being rather flustered. "Ah... my apologies. I am Koga."

Saeko has posed:
"Some, a few, but most often this place is forgotten, taken as a pretty place to rest and relax. Occasionally treated like a 'wishing well'." A shrug from the woman, she seems to have skipped the mention of her 'oddness', one gets past that when they live as long as she has.

Lazily stepping past Koga in her confident steps, the kitsune reaches out to claim the container of Sake, but she doesn't open it or drink from it herself. At least, not yet. Instead she nods her head lightly, "It is a pleasure to meet you Koga, accidently or otherwise."

Koga Miura has posed:
Koga looks curious, then hums a little. He finally looks at her a bit more carefully, then actually pinches himself. Nope. Not dreaming.

He finally decides to ask something it seems, "I... do have one question. And maybe, just maybe someone divine knows? Because all the mortal stuff seems to have no clue, and neither does an... agency I am associated with."

He moves over to the bench she appeared on, sitting down for the moment and just watching her for now it seems.

Saeko has posed:
"An Agency?" Saeko repeats, curiousity alight in her eyes. "Like SHIELD perhaps?" Encountering the Avengers and a few more direct 'Interventions' had helped with her understanding of the world in this modern return for Saeko. Still, he had her attention, the Tenko moves to stand opposite the sitting man, lazily lowering herself to recline...and apparently finding the means to while floating lightly on the air as if it held its own cushioned seating for her.

"Ask your question, perhaps I will have the answer."

Koga Miura has posed:
"... eh..." He looks around, and it's as if he's /really/ looking, too. Focusing on such things as trees, bushes, everywhere in a thorough sweep. Even overhead. Then he looks at her, "... well... I suppose I am supposed to say I have no idea on SHIELD, since they were kicked out by the government here."

He sighs, "A little over two years ago, I came into contact with... something. All the engravings around the site were too worn except a fe, and I was trying to well... study it." He looks a bit torn at what he is saying, "The... thing or things are actually inside my body and... well... I... wanted to see if you might know what it is. The wall engravings I could figure out said something 'pure' or something else. Like a perfect being attempt. Does that sound like anything you might have heard of?"

Saeko has posed:
A little consideration is given, a tilt of Saeko's head and her eyes close. Nothing seems to happen for a moment, no movement, no answer...until the air itself seemed to surge with some sort of 'tingle', and electricity to the air that flowed back and forth invisibly until finally Saeko's tails flair, all nine visible in their brilliant sheen and seeming to waiver with some ghostly light. That same light fills her eyes, smothering out the irises visible before in that Kitsune-bi.

An offering 'spent', an answer sought, the Tenko's voice carries a slight after-echo as she speaks.

"The games of gods are fickle and strange, tied to whatever whims and contests they might carry. What you carry is tied as much to the familier oceans that birthed the world as that horror which seeks to end it..."

She exhales, the light fades and the Kitsune reclines. The sake, where before it had rested in her hands seems to simply fade, consumed in that ghostly kitsune-bi.

"That is all the insight Inari will allow me to offer today," she speaks, voice returned to normal.

Koga Miura has posed:
Koga looks confused, "The oceans? Horror that seeks to end it?" He moves a hand to his midsection, looking perhaps a little pale. "... well, that leaves a lot of room to work with."

Then it occurrs to him and he looks a bit horrified, "So... this thing was... oh... might be jumping at shadows there." A small shrug is given, "Well, it's more than I knew before. Thank you... and... uh... thank Inari, please? I know I paid for it or something like that, but..." He shrugs. "From the lack of sightings or such, I figure divine types do not get a thank you a lot?"

He looks perhaps a little disturbed by the revelation, and probably has a million things running through his mind at her words alone. There's how many different ways to take that again?

Saeko has posed:
One doesn't tend to expect a fox-spirit or Inari to offer perfect clarity and clear answers. Saeko simply nods lightly and gestures a little wave of her fingers. "Not as much as we used to, and certainly not in this country. There is a reason some have chosen to be more active in a less traditional sense. Not that everyone is going to be appearing with magical hammers and such."

Amused lightly for her own internal joke, the Kitsune stretches her back out lightly in a lazy yawn and then touches down from her floating seat. "I hope it helped you, in some way or another."

Koga Miura has posed:
Koga sighs, rising from his seat on the bench. "It has and it hasn't. A lot of different questions, but I know a few that can help perhaps. I... thank you. And I will be sure to leave more sake when I jog here again. Any preference on offerings that I can spread around?"

Hey, at least he's trying to help in return some. A lot. Shoot, he's not even sure if she eats or anything being a spirit it seems.

Saeko has posed:
A soft laugh at that question, Saeko folds her hands lightly. "Inari favors that which is hand-made when it comes to food, dedication and care when divine guidence from them is sought. But... I myself have developed a taste for some of the things here as well. Truely, icecream, doughnuts, chocolate are all wonderful inventions mortals have come up with." A little chuckle, she shakes her head. "People offer what they offer, with meaning or by chance. But the thought is appreciated."

With one last smile and a bow of her head, Saeko's form flares with that same light from before and the wind picks up...and then she was gone, leaving the shrine still and empty save for Koga himself.

Koga Miura has posed:
Koga rolls his eyes, "... a Kitsune with a sweet tooth? Really?" He shakes his head, "... I swear if they have someone from home check up on me, my month will be complete."

Sighing, he gives a small wave at where she was. "See you are, Saeko." He turns and resumes his jog, but is specifically heading for where he parked this time. Too many questions to leave it to the jogging right now.
