A Groundbreaking Meeting
Date of Scene: 29 June 2021
Location: Sundollar Coffee - Avenue of Tomorrow
Synopsis: Wally and Atlee meet at last, or how to get a woman's number in one easy step.
Cast of Characters: Wally West, Atlee

Wally West has posed:
Sundollar coffee isn't Wally's usual style. He gets his morning cup(s 1-8) from a place in Florida where there is a family of Colombian imigrants makes fresh toritillas and beans to go with their own special hook up on coffee that has a lovely toasted flavor from the stuff at the bottom of the pot. That said, he got some cupons he bought from a fundraiser and he may as well use them.

Today Wally is actually trying to be mildly subtle. He is sure some enterprising photographer will be able to put it together, but no reason to make it easy for them. He doesn't like the way that people construe every visit into some kind of endorsement. He makes his own clothes because he doesn't like the way denim desintigrates into a fine dust at around mach 3. Today he is wearing flannel and jeans along with some unbranded soft soled lace-up shoes.

He settles into the line in his most inconspicuous manner possible, when he notices a face he recognizes from TV among the people in the shop. "Is that...?" He mutters under his breath as he does his most subtle double take.

Atlee has posed:
This was a normal stop for Atlee ever since PG got her into coffee. She likes the stuff a lot. It grew on her despite its bitterness that she originally didn't like. Of course, one might argue what she is drinking isn't exactly coffee anymore now that she's had them add so much ccream, sweeteners, and flavors to it. She doesn't care. She likes it. So, Atlee sips at her drink, occasionally smiling at people who give her the odd look. She isn't exactly great at secret identities at all. She's currently wearing a pair of simple jeans, hip huggers, and a crop top that shows off just a hint of belly. She is sipping her coffee while trying her best to read something on the phone she has. It's still all pretty new to her but she's enjoying it so far.

Wally West has posed:
Wally decides it is time to investigate. After grabbing a coffee and a muffin, he closes in. The process of approaching a cape in civillian garb is a sensative one. One that you might not assume The Flash (tm) would be capable of, but then you'd be wrong. Wally went under cover once, and he thought he did a pretty good job. Nightwing didn't complain about it, so clearly he did a fantastic job.

He approaches this familiar yet mysterious stranger with his best nonchalant aire. No one casts a suspicious glance at him (although this crowd of under caffinated people aren't exactly the most curious crowd). "Hello, you look like someone I saw on TV. Mind if I take a seat here?" Nailed it.

Atlee has posed:
A slow blink and Atlee looks up from the phone and looks at Wally suspiciously. She shifts her eyes and looks at herself briefly before looking at him again, "Me?" She asks and then shifts again and gestures to the seat, "I am a bit surprised." She states a little, "Usually people don't pay me a lot of attention when I'm not, well." She shrugs, "Dressed up." She states and then shrugs and sips her coffee briefly, "Just not dressing up as myself seems to usually disuade people from seeing me as anyone other than another..." She stops babbling and then shifts some and sits up straight, "Yes, how can I help you?"

Wally West has posed:
"I'm kinda counting on the same effect." He takes a seat, careful not to spill his coffee. These big chain stores always have the coffee waaay too hot. He offers a hand. "I'm Wally. Atlee I presume? I've heard a bit about you. --All good I assure you." His voice is soft but not a whisper. He has been informed by those in the know that whispering arouses suspicion.

He takes a bite out of his muffin. motion is a little jerky like footage that has been sped up. "I figured I oughta get to know you. I figure we might wind up working together and I haven't met yet."

Atlee has posed:
Taking the hand, she shakes it rather awkwardly, as if she hasn't spent her whole life shaking hands. She hasn't. She nods to him, "I am Atlee." She nods again before looking carefully at him and tilting her head, "We might?" She asks as she then sips her coffee and then looks around at the other people here before looking to him, "Are you someone I should know, Wally?" She asks and tilts her head, "Sorry, I'm not familiar with everyone so I am curious."

Wally West has posed:
"Oh, yeah. I suppose Wally isn't the rarest of names. I am The Flash (tm)" This is matched with a speed force spark in the corner of his eye. "I keep forgetting that just because my name isn't a secret, doesn't mean its common knowledge. I haven't done a whole tone of these civie clothes meatups." He touches his hand to his cup and then impatiently sighs. Its only been a minute he supposes. Maybe next time he should try iced coffee. "So, I was a fan before I put on the costume. Whats your story?"

Atlee has posed:
"Oh! Wow!" She just about blurts it out but tries not to as she nods her head and then smiles, "I have heard of you!" She nods her head and then sips her coffee before she shifts in her spot, "I have read a great deal about the various heroes on the surface and your name did come up several times." She then shifts slightly in her spot and sits up straighter, "I am Atlee, I come from under the surface of your world. I'm a Terran and I have come to help you surface dwellers with your problems both from villains and of your own making."

Wally West has posed:
Well at least he didn't get left off the list. "From the underground. Our troubles are that famous?" He shakes his head in atleast partially mock shame. "So you have a phone number in the database yet? I figure we should exchange contact info." This has to be the least graceful way he has ever attempted to get a woman's phone number, but oh well. "I suppose I better give you mine as well." He digs out a business card with The Flash (tm) logo on it. "Obviously I'm not going to pick up all the time at my office number, but the other number is good."

Atlee has posed:
"I do." Shestates and takes the card given, looking at it. She'll have to get Karen to help her enter it into her phone. Something she won't explain out loud to him right now. She instead offers her number over verbally and then nods her head, "And yes, we have surveillance on the surface. What happens up here can effect us down there." She nods her head, "And so we are aware of the issues that plague this world. I am happy to work with you in the future!"
