Cast of Characters: June Connor, Cole Cash

June Connor has posed:
Time to make her own waves. June has spent the last few weeks dodging assassination attempts, moving places to rest her head constantly, and she's sick of it. So tonight she decided it's time to put someone else on the defense. The Hand's inner politics have been messy lately, at least two factions seeking power over...something. Even June's not entirely certain of the real nature.

She isn't wearing a proper ninja outfit, instead she's wearing a tight pair of black jeans that have been shredded, and a short tank top that shows off several tattoos. Most noteworthy of them is the Hand emblem on her left shoulder, indicating to those in the know who she is allied with. A fanny pack hangs from her hip, and she makes her way down an alley. She pounds on a heavy steel door, the area lit by only a single naked light bulb that is dislocated from the brick wall above her. "Eddie!" she yells. "Eddie open up!" She pounds on the door with her fist again.

Cole Cash has posed:
After the unfortunate encounter with Shredder last winter, Cole promised himself he was not taking any more ninja cases. That commitment has lasted six whole months. And he is doing it only because it sounded low key and he is out of money, again.

He knows there are ninja hangouts in the Hell's Kitchen area. Which is odd, since this is the Devil's territory. But maybe he is a ninja too. He has been making friends at dive bars, and finally pointed to Eddie's. Which given the description barely even qualifies as dive bar.

Tonight he has added a cowboy hat to his usual outfit of cargo pants, combat boots and battered coat. Why? Don't ask, he was probably half-drunk this morning. 'Making friends' involves a lot of drinking. Which is okay, really! Nevertheless, he seems to be in the right alleyway. Or rather, he hears it.

June Connor has posed:
June stands outside of the peep hole, but given her rather young voice, it isn't one that stands out as most enforcers would, causing people to want to keep their alley door shut. The door opens, and Eddie, a middle-aged man with a scruffy beard appears. June doesn't waste a split instant, unaware that she may be watched, and she grabs the man's beard and yanks him out. Almost comical that she succeeds given that he has a full foot in height over her. She looks like a thrash punk teenager going through some kind of rebellious phase, petite in build.

Her aggression makes her seem like anything but. "Fucker you sold me out!" She punches him, stunning him with the blow, and then knees him in the crotch. Not the most ninja of moves, but the brutality with which she assaults him is enough to daze the much larger man as she continues to throw him blows in rather in very dishonorable, yet effective ways until she has him up against the wall on his side.

"June! Stop!" he yells, holding out his hand. "It wasn't me!" he defends himself.

"The hell it wasn't. You're the only one who even knew I went home with Brandon last night," she says. "He's fuckin' dead! You asshole!" She kicks him in the ribs a few times, and he grabs her leg, managing to cease it, and shove her back to the ground of the alley.

Cole Cash has posed:
Cole stalls for a moment, watching the scene unfold. What the hell? Then he spots June's tattoo. "Hey, hey. Don't kill the bartender this early," he says, reaching to grab June's arm as she is about to fall down, pulling her away from Eddie.

He tries to shove June inside the place while giving the fallen man half a grin. "You are drawing too much attention, know what I mean?" Not that he has seen any ninja yet. But that doesn't mean they are not there.

Right?

June Connor has posed:
June stumbles back, and apparently was unaware enough of her surroundings that she had no idea taht Cole was closing in on the situation. She looks down at her arm that is grabbed. "Who the hell are you?" She looks up at him, and then yanks on her arm to try to pull it away. "Get the fuck off me," she demands. "Eddie you got a body guard now?" she asks. "You gonna need it," she points with the opposite hand as if the action could stab Eddie's eyes out from this distance. "You gonna need it. Kazya won't stand up for you, he'll slit your throat as fast as I will." Definitely a young lady with some serious anger issues.

Eddie doesn't answer immediately, pushing up with one hand to right himself in a sitting position, and he starts to stand up.

Cole Cash has posed:
"Hrm, I am not his bodyguard," remarks Cole. "Just passing by. Got pointed to this place by common acquaintances." He releases June, tentatively, keeping himself between the angry girl and the bearded man.

He looms over June briefly. Then steps back, shrugging with a faint smile. "Give a few minutes with Eddie here, okay? I'll buy you a drink, or whatever."

June Connor has posed:
June, who looks too young to be allowed to drink, regards Cole suspiciously. "Buy me a drink?" she asks, the looming having the effect that she cranes her neck up, but defiantly doesn't step back, "Not enough alcohol in the world to fix my problems." She shifts her green eyed gazed between Cole and Eddie, as if perhaps gauging whether she thinks she could take the newcomer. She decides it's not a risk worth taking. She raises her hands in surrender to the request, backing up with mild disgust.

"So, thanks," Eddie says, standing to his feet and checking his nose. It's bleeding a little, but he's certainly had worse injuries. "What do you want?" he asks bluntly. It looks like Eddie's had enough of people wanting to talk to him in the alley behind his bar for one night.

Cole Cash has posed:
Cole shrugs, "you seem to need that more than... ice-cream? Soda?" He might be mocking her. Some. "But I said whatever, so you choose." As for Eddie, he doesn't offer him a hand to stand up; but instead he goes inside without even answering the question, scanning the place for oddities, the drinks on the shelves and possible ninja hiding spots.

Unless Eddie hurries up or there is someone else behind the bar, Cole just slides in and picks a bottle of scotch. "I just want to talk," he offers Eddie.
