Date of Scene: 29 September 2021
Location: The Wick
Synopsis: Thomas and Blake discuss dating vampires over drinks.
Cast of Characters: Thomas Blake, Blake Riviere

Thomas Blake has posed:
The back alley of the Wick. The Wick is a comfy and cozy place to drink and get bar food. It's pretty mellow.

Back alley sees some shit.

Thomas Blake is thrown at a wall. His hands come up and stop him from actually hitting the wall. The claws in his gloves deploy extend and scratch the bricks. He whirls as his attacker, a slim blonde closes, flashing her fangs.

Vampire assassin. AlcheMax was stepping up their game or lucked out.

He lets her close and the knee comes up. Thomas is pretty flexible for a big guy. The vampire is fast but it is her undoing. She takes the hit in the throat and jaw, whch is slammed shut with cracks of teeth breaking. Fangs fall and blood spurts. She is taken aback. The lion is loosed and Thomas crouches and prepares to leap.

"You fafard! I'll fill you!"

Blake Riviere has posed:
It had been a little while since Blake had smelt the scent of another vampire, especially this close to her little ironic haunt.

Curious, someone was tangling with one of her lesser 'cousins', and such vampires usually know to give her some space.

A creeping chill, a swirl of mist and Blake was there, stepping out of the shadows with eyes aglow...

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake doesn't feel the chill. He is on fire at the moment. He grins at the predator turned prey, then slashes with abandon as the vampire falls back. True the slashed won't kill her directly. They won't even cause lasting damage if she can get away to heal.

The crazed man is not letting her get away. He shows no fear. He does not act like prey. She has a moment to reflect on this before he closes and palm strikes, his talons forming a perimeter ayound her heart.

This, is serious. She freezes.

Blake Riviere has posed:
Blake herself was a vampire, but who was friend and who was foe? That remained ro be seen. She hadn't seen the man in his costume before, but the scent? Well, she'd found him bleeding badly first time they met. She knew his blood.

"What is going on here?"

Her French tones cutting through the combat and the darkness alike.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake doesn't look towards Blake, he recognizes the sultry voice. The air of command it conveys. "This bitch dragged me in here and tried to kill me. Said, 'AlcheMax sends regards.' Did you know her." He emphasizes the past tense with a slight tensing of his fingers. The vampire whimpers a little.

"Flease, fistress... safe feee..."

Blake Riviere has posed:
A step forward, Blake's eyes still glowed that deep red, a match to the ribbons and stockings that offset her otherwise black-clad form.

Up and down she looks over the would-be assassin, shaking her head lightly. "Not one of mine, I do not work for private concerns...nor am I of the houses or covens here. Any who would hunt near me? They usually do me the politeness of introducing themselves."

A tilt of her head, she leans down. "Why does this 'Alchemax' have Vampire assassins? Even ones as...ineffective as this?"

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake shrugs, drawing a stifled scream... acccidentally? "You got me there. I know crooks, she demons, and tenkos somewhat. I haven't hung with your folks much. My guess is she figured to trade on her gifts and score some easy money. Probably a baby if she didn't know etiquette. I was going to kill her but your call. A courtesy. We're sort of drinking buddies." Small smile. He wonders if Satana would like a captured vampire and what she would do with her.

Blake Riviere has posed:
Some thought that vampires couldn't mesmerize other vampires. That wasn't true, at least not if one was old or powerful enough. Those glowing eyes turned, her gaze and will boring into the would-be assassin's mind as the 'Draculina' sought her answer.

"Why are you working for Alchemex?"

Thomas Blake has posed:
"M-m-money. Nothing personal. He's just a human...ai-yi-yi!"

Thomas frowns. "How much did they offer?"

"Not enough... "

"Good answer. Well, I could use a drink after this... thumbs up or thumbs down?"

Blake Riviere has posed:
"Boring," Blakes answer is given, a lazy shake of her head and a finger to her lips as she draws back, "And thus, none of my business. Do with them what you will, they have not threatened me, but they are not my ally either."

With that? She turns, headed back toward the Wick itself.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake nods. "You're not out of this. I have your blood on my claws. My girlfriend knows what to do with it. She will definitely be in touch. She has some kind of plan in mind... stop crying! I'm letting you go. Call AlcheMax and let them know I'm alive and well and going to burn them to the ground. Please be sincere. They are hard to convince. Now scat, bat. I'm going to have a drink with a real woman." The claws retract. The would be assassin blinks and thinks about using her new grown fangs for a moment. Then she turns and staggers a way.

Fucking GUY!

Thomas goes to follow Dracu-Lolita.

Blake Riviere has posed:
"So..." Blake speaks, her tone casual and a lift of her hand signalling the bartender to provide her with a beverage while she slips to a table of her own. "Who and what is this Alchemex, and why do they wish you dead?"

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake cleans himself off with a rag before speaking. He sticks the rag in a bag and pockets it.

"AlcheMax is a company I did a job for. Then I did a job against them for another company. Rather than merely hire me for the reprisal, they decided to order my death. So I declared war on them. As he speaks puts a hand on the wall on either side of Blake.

"That, she wasn't a very good one was she? I could tell. I've seen you move. ...so you like any humans?" Cue smile.

Blake Riviere has posed:
A little shift comes before Blake can sit down as she's 'pinned' by arms either side of her, the vampiress chuckling softly at his words. "Most are not like me, it is a poor metric to measure by. I am closer to that of myth...or the occasional novel."

She smirks, her painted lips pulled into that look of clear confidence and amusement.

"Humans I like? Of course...don't you have favorite vintages of wine after all?"

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake removes his hands from the wall. "Point taken." He waits for her to sit then seats himself.

"Satana seems to prefer my vintage. I advise you to get her okay before you take a sample. Just saying. Anyway, I'll behave." He accepts a menu from a server. "The French onion soup sandwich looks good. Who am I kidding... I'll take a burger, rare. Just kill the cow near a stove."

Blake Riviere has posed:
"Do not misunderstand me Thomas," Blake muses as she makes to sit herself down, stretching her arms above her head for a moment before claiming her drink. Unlike a certain famous vampire, she very much did drink wine...if only for the experience of it.

"But I am no stranger to the excitement that comes to some after a fight, indeed I have experienced plenty myself, but... well, I have sought 'dinner guests' more than lovers from mortals for a while. The last one was...refreshing, but it did not last."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake nods. "Understood. Yes I guess we don't last... I think Satana plans on some kind of conjugal visits when I kick the bucket. Anyway... I don't think I ever thanked you for helping me with those guys from Zandia. Thank you."

Blake Riviere has posed:
"It is a ponderous thing, to know with certainty that an afterlife exists, yet in my case know that my own mortality remains a mystery regardless." A sip of her wine, Blake's lips pull once more into that smile. "Still, there is something to be said for having the devil's daughter in your corner, non?"

His thanks, they are met with a lift of her fingers as something catches her attention, the vampiress making to stand.

"If you'll forgive me, my 'date' is arriving. Good luck Thomas...I hope they do not have more competent vampires in their employ next time."
