An evening in the zoo.
Date of Scene: 05 October 2021
Location: Central Park Zoo
Synopsis: Advice is given
Cast of Characters: Ben Grimm, Susan Sullivan

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm was feeling a bit down on himself, it happens with the rocky behemoth. He has grabbed his trench and fedora, which somehow helps the big man hide, that or people are just smart enough not to let on they know it is him. HE has come out to the zoo late in the evening 3:30-4ish an hour hour and a half before they close, figuring less people there than normal. He has gotten himself a bag of peanuts, and leans on the fence a bit watching Gus the Polar bear. He is careful not to bend said fence.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
The woman who comes to stand next to the big, rocky, orange gentleman doesn't have to try to bend it, or if she does, it doesn't show. She speaks through what may or may not be a much better disguise than Ben's. The skull-themed gas mask is clearly a custom job, and it has a speaker in it to make sure she's heard, or else she's just very loud and can clearly enunciate through filters. "Hey," she says. There's nobody else for several meters around, so it's either him or the polar bears she's talking to.

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm turns looking the woman over a moment. He does tense for just a moment seeing the mask, expecting it to be some sort of attack, but not recognizing her, his body relaxes back. It is a subtle movement, but when you have been doing the hero thing for as long as he had. He greets her in return "Evening." Not overly grumpily or at least not letting it be heard in his voice.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
She looks up toward him briefly after he looks back to the bears. She's quiet for a few moments. "I hope you don't mind, but I've been watching you a little bit. You seem to be avoiding people. Are you okay?" Her hands are stuffed in the pockets of her hoodie, not that it's cold or anything.

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm hmms a bit and seems to think about this for a moment, before saying "Yea, just a bit of a day." He tells the woman "Sometimes it can help to just vedge out and bring your world into a smaller scope at times." He uses the whole celebrity thing to hid his own issues.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
She nods. "Okay," she says, looking at the polar bears with him. "You mind if I hang out here for a bit?" she asks. "It's really hard for me to be alone, but I'm not super comfortable approaching most people. I feel very comfortable around you."

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm shrugs a bit and says "Well can pretty much guarantee no one in their right mind will mess with ya beside me, but fair warning if someone does try to start something you will want to setp back, cause they are probably not good people.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"That's fair," the comparatively tiny woman says. She extends a fist toward the orange tower next to her. "I'm Demona," she says.

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm s brow will raise slightly "Unusual name." He comments but does hold his rocky fist out for her to bump, and says "Ben, and this here is Guy." He motions towards the Polar bear. "They believe he is a nephew of Gus. Gus and I spent plenty of time staring at one another."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"I guess it's technically a nickname," Demona says with a shrug. "It's a character from a Disney cartoon I used to watch. Given how messed up my face is, now, I figured it fit."

Ben Grimm has posed:
Ben Grimm looks over to her and says "Well if you don't mind a bit of advice from someone who has been there, if your wanting other people to call you Demona it is cool, but it is important to remember your who you really are inside no matter what you look like, even if times it is hard to remember it.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"Thank you, Ben," Demona says. "I do like the character, and I kind of am using the face as an excuse to change my identity a bit. I spent sevenn years reinvennting myself after someone hurt me. The only way I survive is by clinging to who I really am." She leans forward, elbows on the fence as she looks at Guy. "So, what draws you to the Polar Bear exhibit?"
