Cast of Characters: June Connor, Elektra Natchios

June Connor has posed:
6am. The sun is up. And so is June. Kind of. The door to the condo opens, and she wanders in as she frequently does, only even later right now. She has dried blood on her lip, and her right bicep has a nasty swelling bruise. But other than that, she's fairly okay. She looks like she was at a party more than she was out causing more direct mischief, a short skirt and a halter top that would probably advertise what she went to the party to achieve. She locks the door behind her, alert, but clearly tired, and starts to make her way to the kitchen. She pulls the cabinet open to grab a glass.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The house is dark. The reinforced windows covering sunlight from piercing in. It's a curious enough thing but something that June may have noticed by now, how on some nights Elektra doesn't really wish to see the morning sun. Maybe she is entertaining vampires or something? Regardless, so far so good. Getting to the kitchen goes well, on the washing counter a couple of plates recently cleaned up. Did Elektra get visits tonight? Maybe.

As the cabinet door opens up a voice is heard.

"Good morning, June. Looks like you had a night."

Where the heck did Elektra come from? But what's true is that she is sitting down on the living room, on a couch. Did June simply miss her or did she just get there?

"Look behind the second cabinet, will you?" Because that's where she keeps the good stuff, which June will figure out if she checks it, a bottle of old scotch there. "And bring me one."

June Connor has posed:
June fills her glass with water. Definitely needs water right now, but she taps the cabinet closed and then opens the other, grabs out the bottle of old scotch. She first, though, drinks half her water without a word, chugging it enough that a little dribbles to the side of her mouth before she puts it down, taking in a gasp of air.

She groans inaudibly, and gets a smaller glass for the scotch, pouring a double. It saves time. She leaves the scotch on the counter, walking lazily toward the living room. She extends the scotch, and the bloodshot look in her eyes says her mental state is probably mildly compromised, at least through alcohol if nothing else, and probably exhasution.

She makes a pop with her lips as she hands the scotch over, and looks at the windows. One second. Two. Three. "We on strike against the sun?" she asks, and takes a more normal drink from her water.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The scotch is taken between fingertips, Elektra resting it on the arm of the chair and allowing her dark eyes to examine June, "Productive evening?" she asks in that way that people usually do when they already know the answer.

The assassin is dressed with a satin robe over her form. Underneath? It's a mystery what she may be wearing. If anything at all. It might be that she woke up not that long ago. Still, there's a glow on the woman that tells of some kind of nightly company, hair just a touch disheveled, "It has been a while since I have seen you around. I trust you have been keeping yourself busy.." there is a sort of .., knowing look on Elektra. Has she been keeping tabs on the girl? Well, it's Elektra. Of course she has.

The comment about the sun just makes her smirk but she doesn't answer it, instead she taps on some hidden button on the couch, the window covers slowly starting to turn and reveal the shiny, rising sun outside. They daystar arriveth!

June Connor has posed:
June winces. Why'd she have to say something? she regards the sunlight as if she herself might be a vampire, and rubs her eyes. "I mean, it was lively," she says with a sloppy lopsided grin. "You look like you got a little action last night?" she returns the comment. "You're lookin a little...happy." She takes her free hand, and fiddles with a thin gold chain on her neck. If that rock isn't glass, it's certainly an expensive diamond. Where'd she get that?

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The sunlight coming in through the window has Elektra close her eyes and lift her chin just so. Not avoiding the sun but enjoying it. Yes, she does seem a little ..., happy. Eyes re-open and she relaxes back on the sofa, taking a brief drink from the scotch. Nothing like a morning drink!

"Mmmm, quite so." she murmurs, not one to be coy about her own exploits. That's just not a word on her vocabulary. "So I won't even be too upset if you are bringing boosted goods to my house." a nod towards the necklace.

"Yet you don't strike me as a fool who would be wandering about with a stolen necklace around her neck. A gift from an admirer?" She asks, a brow arching, curious. One hand reaches up to rest on her chin.

June Connor has posed:
June pops her eyebrows. "Classy, huh?" she comments. "Guy had a yacht and everythin'." "Not sure if I'll sell it or keep it," she picks up the stone. "Don't have a clue how to price diamonds. Unless it's a cheap ass knock off. He didn't seem the type, though. Was one of those that wants you to know how good he's got it." She examines it briefly, and drops it to flop against her collarbone again. She plops immodestly onto the other side of the couch, managing not to spill her water, though. She takes another drink. "Catchin' up to me now, though," she grunts, rubbing the bridge of her nose.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
As June starts talking about some guy with a yacht Elektra lets out a brief sigh. "Maybe you *are* that kind of fool..." but then she gesturing with one hand. "Go on, it seems to me as if there's a story to tell behind all that so why don't you go ahead and let me know exactly on how you got offered that necklace?"

"Or was this one of those things you did while working for some Gotham crime lord?" Spoken so casually. But uh-oh, seems like she knows what June has been up to! At least parts of it.

Another sip from the scotch.

June Connor has posed:
"Shit, I'll cut that Owlman's dick off if I see him again. Fuckin' tried to blow me up when I was doing a job for him. What kinda fucker does that, anyway?" she growls. Apparently she doesn't care if that part's known. It's not like she pretends to be anything other than a crook.

"But this one? Nah, got this one fair and square," she gives a twinkle of a smile. "And I dunno, how much graphic detail you want?" she asks. Implication clear. There is graphic detail.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"You do realize I know many of the crooks and crime lords that compose the underworld these days, correct? They often need a ..., competent assassin for their dealings. Perhaps next time you can ask me about someone instead of diving right into working for them. Because if you did die during that job I would had been rather cross."

Elektra finishes the scotch, setting the glass aside, "You continue to work for the first crook that comes by and offers you some money. No plan." she tsks, "And here I was thinking I was teaching you better. Clearly I need to improve my teachings."

As June then speaks about the necklace and the graphic detail about it, "Do tell. Do I sound like the type that gets squimish with graphic detail?"

June Connor has posed:
"Yeah, yeah," June moans, letting her head fall backward on the couch. "I'm kinda shit at plans, remember?" she passes off the criticism. Which...isn't actually true. She's fantastic at planning heists and infiltration missions. The Hand knew that and used her frequently for such things. Truth is that she's just haphazard with her whole life.

"I didn't peg you one for smut," she says with a laugh, pulling her head back from the cushion with an appraising once over. "Learn somethin' new every day. Well, I won't have to worry about gettin' pregnant with his particular fancy," she offers the innuendo.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Depends on the type of plans." Elektra states, "I have seen you excel in a few." yes, she knows June's road with the Hand, and how she got to be known in the organization.

Yet she lets that be, simply arching a brow when June goes about explaining indirectly on what she was doing. "Why?" she then finally asks. It's a simple enough question. Though does it have a simple enough answer? Of course that it's left open-ended enough that it may have quite a few interpretations to it.

June Connor has posed:
June knits her brow, the wheels behind her eyes slowly turning. She shakes her head slowly, as if waiting for more than just a 'why' as a question. After a moment, she gives. "Why what?"

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Now now. Did you not know it is rude to answer a question with another question?" A slow shake of her head given to June, Elektra sighing softly, "But fine. Why did you go to such lengths to get that necklace? And the way you were touching it seems like it meant more to you than just some guy doing his fetishes on you." she points out.

June Connor has posed:
June looks away, not as if ashamed, more as if she's trying to process an answer. "Uh..." she gives the very cultured response. She shakes her head again, "I dunno," she smirks. "Deep questions for fuckin' six in the AM," she responds. "Fuck. I guess." It's clear she hasn't really thought through an answer for herself on the matter. Usually she'd just cuss and tell Elektra to mind her own business. But she's a little baked, and that's chilled her out.

She buys herself another few seconds by drinking some more water. "It's a win." She shrugs. "Just, to win at somethin'. My whole life just is one big warning sign for everybody else. Sometimes you just gotta feel like you won, even if it's just a stupid necklace." She lets her head fall back, tilting up at the ceiling. "Damn, that sounds even more pathetic when I say it out loud," she grunts apathetically.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Yes, it sounds somewhat pathetic." See? Elektra is agreeing with June! That's a win too. She gets up to her feet then, robe flowing about her form as she starts walking back to her room, "And not worthy of you. But sure, if you chase mediocrity go right ahead, continue finding those 'wins'.." is her tone judgemental? Yep!

"You are living here because I see something more in you." She looks over her shoulder, gaze hardened and deadly. ".. or do you think you wouldn't be dead in some anonymous ditch if you were just another pawn to me?"

"Anyway, start packing up. I got word from Gao. She wants to settle this in the old ways of the Hand." a beat, "And that will mean we are going to Japan." and Elektra being Elektra she doesn't expand on that, making her way into her room and closing the door behind her.

June Connor has posed:
June just blandly listens to Elektra's statement. A lecture. And...Japan? As Elektra gets up to walk to her room, June stays seated, processing the idea of doing anything but going to bed. She falls over onto the couch, face planting into the cushion.

    "Fuck."
