Date of Scene: 14 October 2021
Location: The Strait Lace Steakhouse - Hellfire Club
Synopsis: Saeko gets a present from Thomas
Cast of Characters: Thomas Blake, Saeko

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake didn't know where Satana was tonight. A quick session of lovemaking and she was off. The same with Bellona. Their loss. Because Thomas had reservations for the Strait Lace and when Saeko showed excellent timing by popping in as he was getting ready... well she was getting a better dinner than a strawberry. Something a fox would enjoy and a chance for her to play dressed up

He had no idea what the kitsune was doing in the bedroom and bathroom all that time. She and her clothes could morph. However, there was no arguing with the results. Just the time waiting. He always hated waiting. Maybe she cycled through her images for just the right dress and makeover? It was very flattering to him. It also amused him that the thousand year old kitsune was all girly girl at times. Wearing a polo shirt, jacket and jeans, Thomas held the door for his date to let her make an enTRANCE and /ENtrance.

Saeko has posed:
The problem with being a shapeshifter was exactly that, she could chose whatever appearance she liked, it didn't even have to be human!

Still, in the end she settled of her familier albeit fox trait-less self, a black dress more of western fashion than her usual but seemingly tailored to her body to an almost magical degree...because it was.

With light cuts at her sides to show a flash of skin and her hair down in luxurious raven shades, the kitsun made her arrival, enchantingly, unnervingly beautiful as ever.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Satana was captivating. In her case it was a raw, primal energy. Saeko was the most lovely creature he ever saw. Both incredible and irresistible in their own ways. Thomas enjoys the way conversation stops a moment when she enters, the sharp looks some give their SO's before they fall under her enchantment. He leads Saeko to her seat, even holds the chair for her. He sits and orders the riblets and potato sk9ins for appetizers and consults his menu, eying her over the edge.

Maybe she's gotten to know him, maybe he has a certain tell, maybe she knows humans after helping them for so long. He has something more in store for her than the usual.

Saeko has posed:
Of course, ever the trickster, knowing exactly what the divine Tenko was thinking was difficult at the best of times. Was she aware and simply playing ignorant or did she know what he had planned?

Impossible to tell!

Still she took her seat, a nod of thanks to the waiter and a lazy flick of her wrist and subtle flair of her eyes suggesting some undercurrent of her magic offered before she looks back to Thomas.

"So...what is the occasion that brought out this invitation?"

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake drats. Try to outfox a tenko sometime!

He orders his steak and hands the server the menu. After Saeko orders, he smiles a little ruefully and produces a long jewelry case. Inside is a ruby necklace. He gets up to place it around her throat, waiting for a sign of assent. Foxes, and lions, are particular about letting people at their throats.

"You have become very special to me. Our time together is wonderful. I wanted to give you a sign to show it. -Not for favors, though you seem to enjoy matching them. I gave Satana an emerald necklace when we were just starting out. I want to do similar for you. You seemed more the type for rubies." He hears a woman thwap her husband and catches the scene out of the corner of his eye. Heh. He caresses Saeko's shoulder as he waits.

Saeko has posed:
A light quirk of a gloss-painted lip as red as her usual attire, clearly Saeko couldn't help but feel a little amusement at the exchange, even if she didn't turn her head to look. Instead her gaze followed Thomas as he stood, watching him until he stood behind her with the necklace offered.

A lift of her hand to brush back her hair and expose her neck, permission is given with a nod and she tilts her head back to offer permission.

"It is beautiful," she affirms, "A color to ward off evil and misfortune no less."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake chuckles. "Hopefully the evil doesn't include Satana. I already know sage doesn't work on her. Though she despises it. I don't exactly test to see what will bother her. There was this stuff called Demon Rum I found in the house," he says as he returns to his seat. "She demanded it, drank it right down and... got hammered. Powers went gaflooey. I think it was a trap made for demons. Normal liquor doesn't bother her. Sometimes it's difficult being with such an overpowering person. And... there seem to be little traps around the house for her lately. I'm kind of curious what great aunt Lillian was up to."

Saeko has posed:
A chuckle of her own, Saeko shrugs her shoulders lightly and lifts her drink to her lips as he sat down.

"It is more...misfortune, the evils of chance. Part of why I wear red when I act on Inari's behalf, even if it more symbolic in itself.

Listening to his story, Saeko chuckles lightly and chews her lip. "Kitsune and strong alcohol has been the literal stuff of legend in the past. We don't tend to 'let our hair down' among mortals if we wish to blend in."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake nods.

"I never used liquor to trap a woman, fox or otherwise. I hve had a number of women get inebriated with me on their own. I don't drink to excess. First, too many people have it in for me, and second it'll impair my dexterity. I doubt Batman ever had a drink." The food arrives and he digs into it, trying not to make too much noise. He regards Saeko again and smiles. "Have I won some favor with you?"

Saeko has posed:
A shrug, although the coy smile on her lips says enough to answer his question. "I would say you are certainly among my favorite mortals, Thomas Blake."

Idly a fingertip strokes over the necklace, tracing it delicately before she reaches for some of their entree.

"Perhaps not, or perhaps he drinks entirely too much. Vigilanties are a very mixed bunch."
