Wrong Vampire...
Date of Scene: 16 October 2021
Location: The Wick
Synopsis: Hellboy and Blake fight...with neither actually trying to hurt each other.
Cast of Characters: Hellboy, Blake Riviere

Hellboy has posed:
Having taken the conversation outside, Hellboy has swung and missed the vampire he was sent after. She's tried to convince Hellboy that he had the wrong girl, but that's what they all say. Still, Hellboy's been doing everything he can to telegraph his movements. "Can't stop you talking," he says, flipping the stake over in his hand after missing a heart blow. "Can't change my orders, but I can tell them everything you say during debriefing." He winds up before thrusting, still telegraphing his movements. He doesn't seem to be trying too hard to win this fight.

Blake Riviere has posed:
True enough to his thoughts, Blake was fast, unnervingly so even for a vampire. Each strike weaved around, the throw that cast him aside offering suprising strength even with the demon's own power. No weapon in her hand, the dark-haired woman simply seems to disappear, vanishing into mist before the swirling fog reforms at the other end of the alleyway, her arms crossed under her bust and a tilt of her head.

"Come on now," she offers with an accented sigh. "This night is only going to get worse for you after all. Better to talk over a drink than to spill blood tonight."

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy seems to get frustrated. "How am I the subtle one, right now?" he laments aloud. He tosses the stake between his hands, holding the wood in the Right Hand of Doom. "Just run!" he says as he charges at her, stake raised, but it's clear he's not fast enough to take her head-on.

Blake Riviere has posed:
A hiss of frustration, the vampiress waits for the man to swing only to 'burst' into a swarm of bats scattering into multiple screeching directions. The shapes swarm, battering Hellboy and filling the night sky before they swarm upwards and reform, turning from silhouette to the vampiress with the red ribbons in her hair resting on the rooftop above.

"Return to your masters and convince them they are mistaken," she speaks, peering down at the red man. "Otherwise, our next meeting may go more poorly."

Hellboy has posed:
"That's what I'm trying to do!" Hellboy shouts, throwing the stake at her like a missile. His shot is true, but she's still entirely too fast for him to actually hit.

Blake Riviere has posed:
The stake thrown at her, the vampiress could try to be dramatic, could try to catch it or throw it back at him...but she'd very much gone out of her way -not- to hit him, seems she wasn't going to change that now. Instead, she simply steps sideways and lets the wooden projectile pass her by.

One last sigh from her painted lips, the vampiress' form begins to seemingly melt away into the night, only the glow of her red eyes lingering for a moment before she disappears. Odds are she'd return here eventually, but for now, Hellboy had been given his excuse to leave he so sought.

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy shrugs out a stretch. He pulls his already-vibrating phone from his pocket. "Yeah?" he says after answering it. "Yeah, I know," he says. "I fought her, didn't I?" Hellboy listens to the angry voice yelling at him on the other side of the phone for a bit before crushing his phone in his hand like a used tissue and tossing it into a trash can as he walks back toward the pickup spot. If someone was going to yell at him, they were going to do it from punching range.
