Cast of Characters: Lincoln March, Michael Hannigan

Lincoln March has posed:
It's a dark and stormy evening in Gotham. The rain slicks down in pitch black sheets against a spiraled vaneer of towering behemoth buildings. Water splatters against the stylistic slightly too tall windows of the mayor's office that seem built just slightly out of proportion.

Each of the windows is barred heavily with bullet resistant glass beneath a clear mesh of metal interwoven into the very glass panes of the windows. There's no mistaking that someone has attempted in recent memory to shoot through the window leaving behind a thick indent from the high caliber round.

The room itself is fairly spartan with several bookshelves filled with philosophical works of machiavellian, The Bard, Plato, and more. Mixed in are books on military command structures, and law enforcement procedure as well as general legal procedure.

Behind the desk itself is a Gotham University Football Jersey along with a team autographed ball from the last match Lincoln ever played. The desk itself is devoid completely of family photographs or identifying markers. Instead a simple computer sat to one side of older make and model along with a pot of beautifully fresh flowers left to brighten the room.

A strike of lightning flashes through the window illuminating the man himself as he looks out the window waiting for his guest to arrive. His features are firm and focused as he looks down towards the street below his entire visage illuminated for a brief moment by the blinding flash.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
A dark and stormy evening in Gotham. Of course it is. Despite the weather, getting here wasn't too hard for Nick. High speed transportation combined with a hired car is to thank for that. It also explains why the young-looking man's clothes isn't completely soaked thru. His hair is reasonably ok looking. Due to the long hair already being secured by a ponytail, there weren't many stray hairs to plaster to the face during the dash from the car to the building.

Now for the question. Why is Nick Drago, Rockstar, Actor, former Gothamite, and current New Yorker doing in this place of government? Well, there are just certain things that can be uttered to get a celebrity to come running and whoever called over to Shaw Studios on behalf of Lincoln knew just the words.

He's not even at the receptionist's desk before they're already calling Lincoln up to notify him of his arrival.

Lincoln March has posed:
The secretary is a rather plain individual with bright red hair and freckles. She's young, maybe 22 at the oldest. She has very thick rimmed glasses that almost give her the visage of an elf owl small and innocent all things considered.

She looks up from the phone and over towards Nick setting the phone back down once she's relayed the message. "His Honor Mayor March is waiting for you in his office, third room on the left." She speaks with a thick bostonian accent and gives a bright and cheery smile that works well on her face. She's soft spoken and confident in her motions as she adjusts the phone on the receiver with one light motion of her hand.

Inside the office Lincoln turns his attention from the street and flicks on the lighting brightening the room a great deal as he puts on his most friendly face. He'd been standing in darkness for some time simply looking far out the window lost in his own memories but the time had come for business and business he would accomplish.

Along the halls of City Hall were pictures of the various mayors of Gotham City dating back many years. Some of the paintings had been more recently covered over with simple cloth hiding more of the heinous abusers of power from the record and leaving them to be forgotten by time.

A lone roomba rolls its way down the hall bumping from one wall to the next as it clears dust from the floors. The constant thudding of a torrential downpour mixing with the thuds and flashes of lightning.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Nick cocks his head, almost birdlike at the title before he returns with a nod. "Thank you." With a turn he follows the stated directions to make his way towards the office. Eyes glance up to the portraits, taking note of the cloth covering over some of the portraits. It is a curious look but, being it is Gotham, probably good reason for it.

Reaching the office, he lifts up his hand to knock on the door. He steps back for a moment as the roomba nearly collides with his foot. Sure he's expected but there might have been some last second stuff going around. Politicians can be weird.

Lincoln March has posed:
The door opens to reveal a smiling linebacker in a high end suit and tie. None other than Lincoln March the mayor of Gotham. He's got that bright smile from one ear to the other as he opens the door wide stepping to one side.

"Nick Drago, an absolute pleasure." He's got a warm and kindhearted nature that emanates off of him and fills the air in all directions. He walks over towards his desk before sliding a comfortable lazyboy chair over into position in front of the desk soon after pouring a glass of water for the two of them.

"I'm glad to see you answered the call." He lowers himself down into a comfortable seat behind his desk motioning for Nick to follow suit.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Nick. Is not wearing a suit. He's wearing jeans. Nice black jeans, but still jeans. And while obscured by the coat, a reasonably nice long sleeved shirt. Because rain and cold are good reasons to wear comfortable and warm clothing. The musician tilts his head up. More so than when he's having to talk to Thomas. Seeing the smile, he unconciously mirrors the expresssion, which consequently starts the general mood changing effect that certain facial expressions can sometimes trigger. "Good to meet you, Mayor March." He greets in return.

Nick watches Lincoln's movements, following the unspoken indication to sit. He slides back into the comfortable chair. Whether it be by design of furniture or the difference in height, that's to be determined but Nick finds himself still looking up at the mayror. "I am pleasantly surprised that your office would think to consider me. Being I live in New York now."

Lincoln March has posed:
Lincoln takes his glass and brings it up to his lips for a quick sip before letting out a low contented sigh. His body language is completely at ease as he looks across the table. "I've always liked to consider myself one to think outside the proverbial box."

He turns on his desk lamp to further brighten the room, still in a visibly pleasant mood in spite of the storm raging outside. "You may no longer live in Gotham but there are a great many here who still look up to you as an example of the good people this city can produce, even from adversity."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Nick's brow lifts momentarily before he gives a small nod. "Fair enough. Once you've lived in Gotham for a time you do tend to take a bit of it wherever you go." He leans forward, taking the glass he neglected to take before before sliding back. "And while this city produced one of the worst moments I've experienced in my life. It also is home to some of the happiest years too."

He pauses to take a sip of his water. For a rockstar his movements aren't flashy. His posture a bit more reserved. As the glass lowers, he continues. "So, the person I spoke with indicated you'd like my assistance with a project involving housing. I assume there's more detail than that."

Lincoln March has posed:
"It's produced several of the worst moments in my own life rest assured." Lincoln chuckles lightly before setting down his drinking glass onto a small coaster on the table "But this city tends to give you the good with the bad."

He pauses for a brief moment. "Yes to business." He nods his head firmly. "I take it you're familiar with the hyperloop I personally oversaw the completion of?" He runs his finger across the top of the glas. "Following the success of the hyperloop project we've been planning a revitalization effort of the narrows." He steeples his hands together and looks across the table. "Part of that effort is the construction of low income highrise housing to assist with the local homeless population." He pauses once more. "We're looking at fundraising opportunities to assist with the construction effort and I believe part of that effort should be a performance by yourself. I would pay for all your expenses out of pocket and proceeds of the concert would go towards the housing construction project."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Nick nods as Lincoln asks if he's familiar with the hyperloop. "Yes, It is very helpful for traveling between New York and Gotham. Actually it was part of my commute over here today." The musician pauses as Lincoln continues with his pitch, nodding as the key points are covered. "Considering the cause I would be open to this. But we'll want to rope in my agent of course. He's the one that helps manage my schedule so I don't have to think about those things. But if you can find a proper venue that works with one of my unspoken for days, I see no reason why not."

Lincoln March has posed:
"I'm sure we'll be able to come to an arrangement with your manager, and we've some fine venues to choose from thankfully." Lincoln widens his smile slightly. "There's a fair few to choose from which would be able to hold quite the respectable crowd indeed!" He nods his head. "I've a few connections who might even be willing to forfeit their usual cut of proceeds."

He takes another deep sip of water before letting out a light sigh. "I really appreciate this, and I'm certain the disenfranchised of the city will appreciate their new housing."
