Location: Park Row - Bleake Island
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Inque, Naria Shepard

Inque has posed:
Crime Alley at midnight is the perfect place for clandestine meetings. Or so mafia lieutenant Luigi Gambali thought. Inque would have preferred some place less... dirty, but the word on the street was the contract he was offering was very lucrative, so they agreed to meet in this alleyway at midnight.

Midnight has come, and there's no sign of Inque yet. Luigi is getting rather upset since he likes everything to be punctual. He doesn't notice, however a dark shape flowing like water from shadow to shadow until it pools up around his feet.

"You try my patience, woman," Luigi says in a huff.

"And you try my sense of taste," Inque replies flowing up to form her human guise. "I could have just come to your house. Nobody would have ever known." Her voice is smooth, confident, fearless of the lieutenant's wrath. "Now," she says. "Tell me what the job is."

Naria Shepard has posed:
A night out in Gotham was generally not something most would be keen for, but post a training session with Black Canary? It was -just- the thing for Rave!

Fueled up and currently streaking through the city, the bluenette speedster was out on 'patrol', her form still wrapped in the hotpants and activewear she'd worn for the training, she'd almost look like any other person headed for the gym were it not for those neon locks.

That and the fact she was running at superhuman speed unaware of the meeting she was closing in on.

Inque has posed:
"The Yakuza are moving in on our turf," Luigi says. "They've got a factory in the Industrial district where they manufacture their own heroin and crack. Allows them to sell it cheap on our streets." He pulls out a small packet and hands it over to Inque. "I want you to burn it to the ground, but I want it to look natural, capiche? I don't want this being linked back to us. This is the down payment on the job."

Inque takes the packet and looks inside. "Cash?" she asks, incredulous. "How droll." She slaps the packet on Luigi's chest for him to take back. "Join the 21st century. I'll contact you with instructions on how to wire me the money."

There's a flash of blue, and Inque narrows her eyes. "I think we've been made."

Naria Shepard has posed:
That neon comet draws closer, the world in slow-motion plenty for Rave to process. The handing of the bag to the woman, the general discussion...just the vibe was pretty 'suss'.

Sure enough that streak of light sweeps into the alley, the sight of the young woman perched sitting atop one of the closed dumpsters with an almost playful grin.

"So you guys are straight up just doing crime in 'Crime Alley?' Little on the nose don't you think?"

Inque has posed:
"Beat it, kid," growls Luigi turning to face the hero, stashing the packet back in his pocket. Inque just looks amused and shakes her head. "It's not a crime to be talking to somebody," she says, stepping around Luigi to face off against the hero. "Why don't you go and find an /actual/ crime?"

Naria Shepard has posed:
"Uh-huh," the young woman speaks, lazily lifting her phone to her hand and snapping a quick shot of the pair.

Maybe Canary would recognise one of them?

"Fairly sure 'Conspiracy to commit' falls under crime," she muses, although for her little smirking shrug of her shoulders? It was a bluff, hearing them talk of yakuza and -maybe- burning something didn't really mean that she had anything to go on beyond her gut.

It really would depend on if Luigi was the sort to be easily baited or antagonized, or if slightly paniced at the idea of a hero having a photo of him with the contractor who was ment to leave 'no links'.

Inque has posed:
"You bitch!" Luigi shouts, reaching into his trench coat and pulling out a revolver. Inque scowls as her form smooths out until she's mostly just a humanoid shaped blob with a blank white circle where the face should be. "That was a mistake," she says and a thick black tendril whips out to wrap around the phone.

Naria Shepard has posed:
That's...new, Rave actually 'vanishes' for a moment as the gun comes up, but the yank pulls her phone from her hand if only for the momentary slip of focus.

"Crap!" Rave's voice comes from behind the pair, a momentary announcement of position before she reaches out and grasps Luigi's shoulder, twisting and throwing the man into the nearby wall with an impressive thud with a move that clearly she'd been shown recently.

"Okay...what's your deal slimy?"
