Synopsis: Morgan gets to meet Sofia. Alexander and Morgan order way too much. No universes were destroyed in the making of this +scene.
Cast of Characters: Alexander Aaron, Morgan Finn, Sofia Maroni

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"So you're sure Diana lets you stay out this late?" The curious voice of the God of Fear is tinged with interest as he walks down the steps that lead into Roma's Jazz Bar and Grille, his boots scuffing on the scrape of ice and grit on the sandy stoop. Over his shoulder he gives the younger Olympian something akin to a stink eye as if making sure he knows he better be telling the truth.
"If I get back and she has left a very polite and yet sternly worded message for me about your conduct, then I will have disappointed her. And in disappointing her you will need a few fatal beatings to level your karmic debt." His deadpan voice is so well cultivated, one might almost think he's being serious even as he walks up to the door and pulls it open with a slight creak. But enough to let some of the sound of the music out.
He does, however, take a moment to point two fingers at his eyes, then one finger at Morgan to let him know that he's got his eye on him. But then his lips twist into a half-smirk. "Ok I'm just kidding."
Then as perhaps the other Olympian wanders past he'll add, "Maybe just one fatal beating."

Morgan Finn has posed:
The teenager who's following Alexander like a puppy dog is all eyes and ears, peering around the bar like it's some sort of mystical environment -- which, for Morgan, it is. "Oh yeah.. to-totally.." he absently answers Alexander. He's a bit distracted by a new type of being that seems to be really capturing his full attention: college girls! He gazes in obvious wonder from one to the next to the next to the next to the..

When Morgan hears the bit about a fatal beating, he playfully looks up at Alexander, with whom he appears to feel quite comfortable. "Give it your best shot, Ferguson. I took twice as many of those muggers the other day as you."

Sofia Maroni has posed:
Roma's is pretty full tonight, even for the late hour. There's a jazz combo on the small stage, and as they enter the blonde singer is belting out a very convincing cover of Billie Holiday's 'Love for Sale'. Sofia works it like a pro, hips rocking lazily with the rhythm while her arms wave.
She's wearing a leather mini with a backless halter and go-go boots, but there are several coats draped over various instrument cases off to one side. Brown eyes scan the crowd, old survival habits still very much alive. Her gaze lingers briefly on a familiar face, left eye dipping a slow wink towards Alex without missing a beat.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"And what, twenty times the punches? Oh wait, how many zeroes go into 20?" So he plays around a little with the math, but it's clear he's amused as he follows after Morgan. But then they're in the room proper and he takes a step to go a little ahead of his younger cousin, giving him a nod to follow after since talking during the set likely would require a bit of shouting in close proximity.
He angles for one of the small four-tops along the wall near to the bar but not near enough to be considered there. Close enough to be able to see Sofia's performance.
It's when he's pulling out a chair and about to sit down that he catches the languid wink and laughs a little, the smile reaching his pale hazel eyes as he lifts a hand to wave at her casually before he settles into his seat.
Once they're seated he leans forward and lifts his voice, "That's Sofia, the singer." A server interrupts briefly to hand them their menus, shooting a look at Morgan and likely reminding herself to ID the kid if he tries to order some booze. Then she's off.

Morgan Finn has posed:
"I don't /even/ know what you're talking about," Morgan says as he plops down in a chair. "I don't have a mark on me."

He smiles up at the waitress when she brings the menu. "Oh my god," he says, leaning closer to Alex. "Is every girl in this place hot? Is it like a requirement? Hey, order me a beer! This menu's really sticky. I wonder if they have bacon burgers." Okay, maybe he's a little bit over stimulated at the moment. It's his first bar.

At the mention of Sofia, he looks up at the stage. "Wow, she's our cousin?" he asks Morgan. "She sings like a rock star."

Sofia Maroni has posed:
The song finishes up and Sofia gestures towards the combo during the light applause. "Thanks very much, folks. We're gonna take a short break, now." And with that, she switches off the mic and gives a knowing gesture to the bartender. Angling past the bar, he has a glass of white wine poured in time for her to scoop it up.
Then she's sauntering over to Alex and Morgan's table. Stepping right up, she kisses Alex on the cheek before sliding onto an empty seat. "Been a while, Alex." Then she turns her attention to Morgan, lifting a brow in silent question.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"I dunno, looks like that guy messed up your face pretty bad---oh sorry that's just how it is." The casual burn is delivered with such calm aplomb even while he's flipping through the menu that it's almost like the two are on auto-pilot and that's /just/ how they talk.
"No, no beer. You probably wouldn't even notice the alcohol since you heal so fast. It'd be like drinking gross water." Then he points at the menu to show the bacon burger in case he missed it.
Of course that's when Sofia takes that break. Alexander spots her approach and rises to greet her, shooting a glance at Morgan and gesturing slightly that he should stand. He turns his head to take that kiss on the cheek and gives her a gentle half-hug before they both sit down.
"A month? Perhaps. I have a purpose this time, however. Other than enjoying seeing you."
At that he nods across the table to Morgan, "This is cousin Morgan." He looks toward Sofia, "He is Diana's ward these days. Goes to Happy Harbor, stays at the embassy."
Looking back to Morgan he nods, "Morgan, this is cousin Sofia."

Morgan Finn has posed:
That kind of social courtesy is just something Morgan has never been exposed to. He grew up in shitty apartments in the Kitchen. When Alex gestures, though, he stands up so hastily that his chair slides back in front of a waitress who is carrying about five orders on a tray. Fortunately, she's total pro. She maneuvers around the sudden chair like it wasn't even there. Morgan has no idea it even happened.

"Hi, Sofia," he says. Then his gaze shifts to Alex questioningly. The stand-up thing totally threw off whatever pittance of a rhythm he had. Once everyone sits, he returns to his seat, but for once the talkative teen demigod doesn't seem to know what to say.

Sofia Maroni has posed:
"Cousin, hmm? Pleased to meet you, Morgan. Hashtag-sofiamaroni if you ever need to reach me. Use any IM platform you want. I get really good reception." So says the messenger demigoddess. She crosses one leg over the other, a brief metallic glint showing the discrete knife hilt tucked into the top of her boot. Sofia smiles a little, then. "And if you *do* want a beer, just say the word..." Wink.
"So Alex, since this isn't a social visit should I be preparing for something?" She glances around again, looking for something out of place. The humor fades noticeably. "There's a back door through the kitchen. I've even got a couple pieces stashed if you're expecting trouble."

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"It's a meet and greet," Is Alexander's answer, and then he adds, "And no beer." The jerk.
But he seems utterly at ease with the moment and Sofia, and even the idea that there could be a reason for having weapons on hand so easily as well as a way out for a rapid departure. He then tilts his head in Morgan's direction and lifts a hand as he perhaps tries to sum up the entirety of a Morgan Finn.
A moment passes before he murmurs, "I was thinking it would be good for him to meet some of us around town, and you are a wonder at creating a network of sorts." Since that is her sphere of influence after all. "And also good that you should be aware he's running around and his continued existence is a positive to Diana."
A beat then he adds, "I mean, I can take or leave the kid, but she sees something in him for some reason." Sure that might seem mean, but Sofia likely has known Alexander long enough to read that deadpan tone.

Morgan Finn has posed:
When Sofia mentions the beer, Morgan opens his mouth to respond, but then Alexander shoots it down and the kid closes his mouth, clearly unhappy with this turn of events. But you know something? The kid's just generally a positive energy kind of dude, so he instantly gets over it and his usual friendly expression and glittering brown eyes return.

"I'm, uh, I'm really new to this whole family thing. Alex is kind of the first cousin I've hung around with." Given how informed Sofia is, it's possible she heard of the teenager that was nearly kidnapped by the League of Assassins and rescued by Wonder Woman. His mother was killed in the attack and Diana took him. Turns out he's a demigod. Who knew.

When Sofia gives her hash info, Morgan slides a phone out his pocket and notes it in the device.

Sofia Maroni has posed:
Sofia settles back a bit, sipping deeply of her wine as she relaxes. Alex is here and no quick get-away is required. Apparently that was a real concern. Her gaze flickers between Alex and Morgan, lingering more on the younger of the two. "Meet and greet is cool. Just don't ask my age, Morgan." Sofia looks to be somewhere in her 20's.
"Um, I don't know -everyone-, but I can -find- anyone." Okay, so that's not very helpful. "I'm in an apprenticeship to Iris, the messenger goddess. So if you want to find one of our cousins, just call me and you can send an official message with all the special effects."
She pauses for a moment, lifting a finger as she takes another sip. "Oh, and if you want to meet Hercules you -will- need adult supervision."

Alexander Aaron has posed:
At the mention of Hercules that does seem to twist Alexander's tail a little. Likely he doesn't care for the demi-god much considering how Ares feels about him and the grudges of our parents live on through us. But he at least doesn't voice any negativity. Not now at least.
"Well there's also that I think he could use some of your insight. I've told him some of the things I think he should be wary of, our family, the games they play. I know he could benefit from your ages old wisdom." His lips twist a little as he tweaks a smile, taking his own casual jab at her age.
Then he closes the menu and sets it down. "But main reason I'm here is the good food and music. And we have some time to kill."

Morgan Finn has posed:
"It was cool to meet you, Sofia. Seriously." the kid responds. "The more family I meet the more real this all seems to me, and I kind of need that right now if I'm being honest."

When the waitress walks past, Morgan looks up at her and smiles one of his winning smiles. Kid's gonna be a heartbreaker someday. He might already be at Crappy Harbor. "Hi, could I please get a bacon cheeseburger with two patties, fries, onion rings, some cole slaw, and a vanilla milkshake?"

Sofia Maroni has posed:
Sofia lifts a brow and gives Alex a warning look at the mention of 'ages old wisdom', lips lingering on the glass for a moment. She smiles, however, looking from Alex to Morgan. "I'll be happy to help where I can, of course. But only because Diana likes him."

"Seriously, though, meeting Hercules is usually an... R-rated event." She sets her glass down, still half full, and eases out of the seat. After a moment she scoops it up again with a smile towards Morgan. "And if you want to feel more real about all this, I'll take you for a flight around the city sometime." she offers. "Okay, I need to get back on stage again. Drop me a line anytime Morgan."

Sofia heads back to the stage again, prompting the combo to wander back as well. A few minutes later she is launching into a series of Stones tunes. And yes, she's got the mooooves like Jagger.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
As Sofia departs he lifts a hand to wave, then he looks back to Morgan as the kid places his order, perhaps to save time he just gives a nod to the waitress and hands the menu in her direction, "I'll have the same." Since what the heck?
Settling back into the chair he looks around the room and takes his ease in the chair, slouching a little. He tilts his head and looks back to Morgan, "Sofia is a good person to have in your cellphone. If one of us goes missing, or you really need to get a hold of someone she can make that happen."
Then his lip twists up, "Though when she gets done you should talk to her about the things we've talked about. The family, the interactions. What to look out for, cool?"

Morgan Finn has posed:
Morgan shrugs one shoulder a little. "Well I don't really have her in my cell, just her social media deets. Also, she kinda seemed like, I dunno, she found my presence irritating." His expression and tone don't really indicate he's complaining or upset at all about, merely that he is noting that it happened. But then a thought occurs to him and he frowns slightly. "Do you...do you find me irritating?" he asks Alexander, as though Sofia finding him irritating is no big deal to him, but if Alexander did then some serious paradigm examination is in order.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"Wha? Nah man that's just her way." He says at first, but then he asks directly of him and he shakes his head, "No, man. We're cool." His smile lights up his features a bit as he lifts a hand and waves it to the side. "You remind me of some of my friends from school, so I fall into like... that old habit of just casually hassling each other."
A deep breath is taken as he sits up and leans forward a little. His brow knits together for a time and he hrmms to himself. "Like. Ok. You know how I am who I am? How fear and terror and all play a part in my life?"
For a moment he looks past Morgan, eyes distancing, then returns his gaze to the younger Olympian.

Morgan Finn has posed:
Morgan likewise leans a bit closer, understanding the important of this kind of talk not being overheard. Although to be fair, it's not a secret that Morgan is of some sort of supernatural origin. That all started coming out in the press shortly after he was rescued by Diana Prince and questions starting arising as to why she took such an interest in him given the sheer volume of how many people she saves all the time.

"Yeah, you mean like the other day with the mugging and you freakin' that dude out so bad?"

Alexander Aaron has posed:
A nod is given as he reaches over and takes up one of the glasses of water that one of the servers had run by and deposited on their table after they had placed their orders. He makes a small face, takes a sip, then sets the glass down. "Being who I am, and having that as my purview. It impacts how I am and how I perceive the world. I don't feel fear. And because of that I don't feel anxiety. Worry..."
His attention drifts to the glass of water, "And by extension some other things. So it's hard to attach to people in various ways. So it's only fair to tell you, that I do value you being around. And likely if someone endangered you I would probably whup 'em. But for the wrong reasons. If you understand."

Morgan Finn has posed:
When Alexander drinks some water, so does Morgan. Definitely a bit of hero worship going on there.

"Maybe that's why the universe brought us together," the fledgeling demigod offers casually with a small shrug. "You teach me to be a badass, and I teach you how to find the best in people." What an odd thing to say; this teen is a mystery to be sure. "Did we eat yet? I'm so hungry."

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"Mebbe, man." Alexander says, smiling a little as he perhaps gives up on trying to explain that angle to how he sees he world, shaking his head again as he repeats, "Mebbe so."
"Not yet, hold on, it'll get here." A gesture is given toward the stage as he murmurs, "Enjoy the music, broaden your horizons." That said he'll take another swallow of water and crunches on a few of the ice cubes. "I'll try to get you home before Diana notices."
At that he smirks a little and slouches just a bit more in his seat.
