Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Another brilliant day in the big apple. The sun shines bright overhead illuminating the frost covered grass which sparkles in the noonday sun.

Union Square is bustling with life in all corners. People from every walk of life have gathered in their masses to watch the proceeding speech from local political hopeful William T. Masterson a man with high hopes to hold even higher office in the coming months.

His words are impassioned as they are boisterous with bold claims of the future yet to come should he find his way into elected office. He throws his arms out to the side and speaks from the heart the good word that the people want to hear, enrapturing the crowd with the thunder of his voice.

With such a popular figure running for office it's no wonder that he's gathered such a sizable crowd to watch his oratory practices. But, can he get the votes needed for his higher office?

Meanwhile deep beneath the park digging denizens of the city crawl their way through darkened tunnels mischievously plotting the downfall of the entire event. Work crews have been digging round the clock biding their time to strike from bellow the surface of the earth.

On their arms bright red bands with the logo of none other than HYDRA adorning each and every one of their dastardly forms.

"Once we've secured the target, we will have no troubles in conquering what was once ours." A darkened figure looms stroking his thick beard pulling it straight before him. His uniform a bright green and yellow affair unlike the pitch black uniforms of his hydra troops.

There's a madness in his eyes behind those thick mirrored goggles a crazed expression of a man bent on total world domination. But who could stop such maniacle machinations deep beneath the earth? Who could hope to face off against the might of the 10 Foot Nazi Robots lurking bellow?

Gilgamesh has posed:
It's been a quiet day for Gilgamesh so far. The wannabe superhero has been flying around helping people. He moved a broken down vehicle out of traffic and sat with its operator until the tow truck could come. He saved a runaway dog that ran into the street. Even helped an old lady cross the street.

Now, though, he's watching the political guy talk about stuff. He's found a thick tree branch to rest on while he munches on a hotdog he bought from a vendor. Not his usual fare, but good enough to hold him over until he can cook something up for himself. So far he seems to be enjoying the show, though, nodding his head from time to time when Masterson speaks. He's still not sure he'll vote for him, but it's good to know what's going on in politics.

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Dmitri flies overhead watching the proceedings. His heads up display gives him a visual count of the people in attendance and audio devices allow him to listen into the speech from cloud level. He's not entirely sure what's going on but something bothers him deep down to his core about the whole thing. Something doesn't feel right.

As Masterson gives his speech he seems to continually enrapture everyone who hears the sound of his voice with an unnatural skill. It's difficult to discern exactly what it is about his speech that is so enticing and yet one can't help but nod along and hear him move from one topic to the next.

Suddenly without warning the ground begins to open up. Massive war machines crawling their way up from beneath the earths crust.

People run in every direction fleeing from the sight of the ten foot tall monstrosities as they grow in number beginning to grab up members of the crowd as they make their way for the stage, slow and pondering in their motions as they seek to take Masterson himself!

Gilgamesh has posed:
Popping the last bite of hotdog into his mouth, Gilgamesh chews thoroughly and swallows, still watching the speech from his perch in the tree. So enraptured is he that it almost takes a moment to notice the ground erupting beneath the feet of the other folks in attendance. That's when he flies, literally flies, into action.

Much of the tree's leaves are shaken off when he rapidly accelerates to nearly the speed of sound, aiming straight for the nearest Nazi war machine. Should he collide with it he'll try to dismantle it with a big left hook, followed by a knee strike to it's center of mass. No sense in waiting for the things with Hydra symbols on them to have a chance to fight back.

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Dmitri dives down towards the ground at hypersonic speeds eliciting a loud BOOOM behind him as he crashes through the first HYDRA warmachine he spies. Shards fly in every direction perforating the ground as the force of the impact rocks the machine with a small explosion sending the people it had been carrying tumbling down to the ground, only for them to rise back to a stand rubbing their heads in confusion.

Gilgamesh delivers a punch that could shatter bones into the surface of the machine knocking off large chunks of metal in either direction. His kick sends right through to the power core of the device causing it to spark and begin overheating as its arms flail to either side grasping for him in vein.

Masterson backs up on the stand as one of the ten foot monstrosities begins to ascend the platform towards him. In his hand he clutches tight the Shard of Socrates. "Stop where you are! I command you!" He calls out but the machine carries on preprogramed with its orders as it stomps towards him leaning down to grab him without a care for the words he speaks.

Several members of the crowd stop their screaming and running at the sound of Mastersons voice, standing stock still without a single care for the world around them seemingly still enraptured by the words of the politician.

Gilgamesh has posed:
"Damn! Move it, people! Run away!" Gil bellows to the crowd, using his best command voice to try to motivate the regular folks finding themselves involved. The man in the battle suit is given a glance, but since he seems to be on the side of right the Eternal doesn't make any moves to stop him. In fact, he calls out, "Nice work! Try to get between the robots and everybody else. I'm going for the politician!"

Gilgamesh puts his money where his mouth is and flies towards Masterson, aiming to grab the mechanical monster threatening him and crush it's grabbing limbs with his hands, intent on getting the public speaker free. Should he succeed he'll tell the political candidate, "Run for it."

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Dmitri swoops back around in a circular pattern crashing through three of the giant robots with a great deal of speed, his arms held in front of him. To the careful observer just before making impact each time he fires off a concentrated beam of energy into the hulking monstrosities to super heat their armor allowing him to slip in through one side and out through the other.

Bits of molten metal drip off of his armor as he crashes through the third robot swinging up into a standing position as he lands on the ground with hands on his hips. Behing him the towering behemoths lurch from one side to the other before falling down to the ground in treamendous piles littering the park.

Masterson clutches tightly to something in his vest holding it with a deathgrip as he is about to speak when the Nightmarish Nazi navigates its arms around his torso lifting him up off the ground only to find itself face to face with Gilgamesh.

Crushing the arms proves much easier than crushing the main torso these ancient Aryan artifacts look to have been made almost 80 years prior with signs of rust and other damage across their surface already. It's tube like limbs buckle and break under the force of the crushing weight dropping Masterson to the ground in a pile.

He takes a moment to collect his breath before he starts running to one side stumbling his way down the platform and to ground level as he makes a break for his limousine.

Gilgamesh has posed:
Once Masterson is free Gilgamesh shoves a fist under the main body of the monster he's dealing with and aims it straight up in the air, letting loose with a blast of energy that could slice through an aircraft carrier. Once that's taken care of he flies for the next in line, aiming to blow through it's midsection in one powerful attack.

As more people seem to be getting out of the way he starts upping his punching game, intent on shattering the robots with his enormous strength. "I knew I shouldn't have skipped World War II. I might have gotten all these things back then."

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
And shatter they do. One after another falls to the sheer superhuman strength of Gilgamesh crumbling to the ground in little more than Debris. Dmitri assists in the fight and together the two are able to make quick work of the remaining robots, one punch at a time.

Where these heroes the intended targets of such massive warmachines the beasts likely would have stood a chance but against two powerful heroes it's barely even fair for them.

"Comrade." Dmitri calls out as he flies through another of the massive mobile machines. "Good punching! You are like machine of flesh and blood." Dmitri's accent is very thick Russian and he sounds like he's having the time of his life. Then again there was rarely a time in Dmitri's life that he didn't sound as if he were enjoying himself immensely.

Once Masterson is out of the main line of hearing the people do begin to snap out of it, no further orders being given to them subliminally through the use of the shard. Instead they return to the process of running like crazy to get away from the ever dwindling number of giant robots.

Gilgamesh has posed:
"You did a great job yourself," Gilgamesh calls back in Russian, sounding quite pleased about how things are turning out. With the battlefield more clear than ever he flies higher and looks down, raising his fists at the robots and hitting them with lances of energy that create craters in the park's ground. More craters. After all, the Nazi robots did make a bunch of their own.

Still speaking Russian he says, "I'm Gilgamesh. It's good to work with you!" He looks around and chuckles, "Looks like nobody was hurt, too. Which is good, because my first aid training dates back to when ligature was invented."

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Dmitri is more than happy to rattle off in Russian right back. "No worries comrade I am certain we would be able to figure out how to get people help if they got hurt." He's using older, less popular Russian, from the soviet period in Russian history. He speaks like an old man to put it another way. A happy old man, but no one under the age of 30 speaks the way he is, the slang, the formality. "Many thanks for the rapid assistance.

Dmitri leans back with both hands outstretched and a brilliant ball of energy begins to form out the barrel of each of his twin linked wrist mounted lasers. First as 4 balls then merging into 2 and finally merging into a singular massive ball of energy before he releases the charge sending a blast through two of the towering behemoths sending them crashing to the ground in smoldering piles.

It seems as if they have cleared the park of the machines for the time being leaving nothing but the cleanup for this little situation.

Gilgamesh has posed:
"It's good to speak Russian again, I haven't visited in quite some time," Gilgamesh tells Dmitri as he flies closer to get a better look at the Hero of the Soviet Union. There's an approving nod, "That's quite a machine you've got there, my friend. I'm certainly glad you're on my side."

One more look around to check for additional threats. He seems satisfied that things are quiet and nods, "That was quite a surprise. I think the speaker had some kind of object or superpower, though, kept a lot of people enraptured when perhaps it shouldn't have."

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
"It is a wonderful country comrade, beautiful as she has ever been in this new age of capitalism wide spread." Dmitri walks over towards one of the downed robots and begins to hold his hand to the side of his helmet. A beam of orange energy emanates from his visor flowing over the downed machine and begins to pull the parts out into the air. The parts swirrl round and round dmitri before assembling themselves back into position as a full mechanical structure of the machine without the armor covering.

"Fascinating technology is it not? The amount of work that has gone into these is astounding even if the technology is primitive by modern standings." He pauses for a moment. "Reel to reel tapes containing operational code, and a diesel engine for power." He shakes his head. "How devices like this can walk let alone engage in combat is a mechanical wonder for the ages Comrade."

Dmitri pauses at the mention of Masterson. "If he has such a thing I think that just maybe it would be better in the hands of the justice league instead of being allowed in the streets."

Gilgamesh has posed:
"Wow!" exclaims Gilgamesh as Dmitri reassembles one of the robots. "That's impressive."

Then his head nods, "I'll have to go back someday. I'd love to see what kind of food they're making now that they're trading with most of the world."

Turning around he points in the direction the limo went, "Want to go grab him and ask politely how he did it?"

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Dmitri turns his attention back towards Gilgamesh and the entire assembled robot falls back into a pile unable to hold its shape without the superstructure to maintain its cohesion. Apparently it only works while he's looking at the thing he's interacting with. Still he takes a few steps forward and says.

"More information can not hurt to have in our arsenal. We would be fools not to at least check in and see if the man is alright." A firm nod of his head given as he kicks off the ground with rocket propulsion to facilitate his flight, burning the ground that he left behind.

Masterson calmly sets inside of his limousine looking down towards the blue glowing crystal in his hand. He lets out a low sigh before placing it back into its container, a device which oddly resembles a pocket watch of all things with the tiny crystal slotting perfectly into place.

Gilgamesh has posed:
When Gilgamesh takes to the skies it's swift and quiet, the former king not making much noise in flight. He falls in next to Dmitri and keeps his eyes peeled for the limo. As soon as it's in view he calls out and points, "That looks like it, tovarisch." Then he'll descend, slowing his speed until he can fly alongside the vehicle, matching its speed. He'll tap on the glass of one of the back doors and wave at the interior of the vehicle, offering a smile to anyone who might be inside.

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Dmitri follows in suit lowering himself down to the limousines level on the other side. Though he flips over himself in the air to get a better look inside as he rockets along with the greatest of ease.

Surrounded on both sides by supers the politician jumps practically through the roof, and leans forward motioning for the driver to pull off to the side of the road. Masterson visibly shaken somewhat by recent events, even as the limo pulls off to the first available parking spot that he can find.

Gilgamesh has posed:
Once the limo stops Gilgamesh lands next to is and waits for the door to open or for the driver to get out to let loose Masterson upon the world.

Not wasting much time, the Eternal starts speaking to the political candidate, "Are you alright there? We wanted to check in on you following that attack, see what's going on. Maybe let you take us to lunch." He winks, "Just kidding about the lunch thing." Then he's a bit more serious, "What reason would Nazis have for trying to abduct you? Do you have any ideas?"

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
When Masterson steps out into the open air he's visibly concerned somewhat about having two very powerful individuals surrounding him on either side. It's not a pleasant place to be when you're trying to keep something a secret from the world.

"I've no earthly idea." The man offers digging his hand into his jacket holding onto something. His words are slick as honey and wash over the ears warm and inviting giving an air of innocence and authority about him. He sounds intellectual, filled with charisma even though he's not a man who's all that impressive to look at he just has this mystical aura about him. "You never can tell what those crazy fascist types will do though."

Gilgamesh has posed:
Gilgamesh keeps on smiling at the guy, even as he's hit with a wave of... affection? Endearment? Whatever, he just likes the hell out of Masterson right now, "I'm worried that they might have been after you because you've got the ability to influence people beyond your words, actually. It was way too strange how many people froze when you told the robots to stop moving." Then he chuckles, "There's certainly not anything wrong with having superpowers, though. I don't use mine all the time, but I'm glad to have them when there's a need. Normally, I prefer to cook for people. I'm a chef, you see." Oh no, does he talk the ears off of people he likes, "Been studying the world's cuisines for five hundred years, give or take. Before that, though, I spent most of my time soldiering. I find what seems like a good country with sensible leadership and I help them stay in one piece." Then he realizes he's given Masterson no time to reply and apologizes, "Sorry." He shuts up then.

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Masterson attempts several times to interject but just can't seem to find the right way to do it. He starts to speak then falls silent then starts to speak and falls silent again. He can't get a word out edgewise and that's actually enough that the gemstone can't work its magic. The initial wave passes somewhat as Gilgamesh speaks allowing the man to return partially to his senses. The device only working when the man is speaking and a short time after.

Dmitri walks over to the side of the vehicle. Confused for the time being. Something about this doesn't feel right as he walks closer. There's his gut feeling mixing with the unnatural appeal of this politician that just mixed weird in his gutt.

Gilgamesh has posed:
"So, how do you do the thing where people like you and want to listen to you?" Gilgamesh finally asks. His affection for the political candidate seems to have tapered off somewhat so this time he's able to keep quieter. He looks over to Dmitri, trying to figure out what's on the mind of the man in the battle suit. Unfortunately he's just plain unable to do that.

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Dmitri shuts off his ears for the time being once the question is asked. It's as easy as flipping a switch inside of his suit. He takes a few steps closer. The hero of the soviet union biding his time to see if maybe he can work past this strange magic.

"Alright, alright you caught me." He holds out a small pocket watch in his hand. "It's the Shard of Socrates, his greatest accomplishment." He speaks with pure unadulterated confidence that appeal returning with his every word. "With it, I can control the will of entire crowds, entire nations should I so be given opportunity." He pauses. "With a single phrase I can even make you both //kill each other//" He puts extra emphasis on the words. He holds up the container emanating brilliant light across the local area driving a strong will towards anyone who hears it to jump to action.

Gilgamesh has posed:
The Eternal pauses when he hears the words. He's got no special protections from psychic attack, however, he does have a little psychic ability of his own.

Even as he jumps towards Dmitri he uses his telekinesis to try to rip the watch from its wielder's grasp. He's not great at psychic stuff so he doesn't know if it'll work. Or even if it works if it'll turn off the violent compulsion.

He leads with a headbutt towards Rocket Red's helmet, followed by a quick combination of punches. He's definitely not pulling any, either.

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Dmitri has his ears off which on the bright side means he can't hear the command so it doesn't really effect him. On the downside he can't hear the man so when suddenly Gilgamesh is jumping into action with a flurry of punches he's caught completely off guard.

The armor that Dmitri is wearing absorbs the brunt of the impact but still manages to dent severely from the force of the impact. This sends him flying wide back across the ground towards a nearby wall.

The container is knocked out of his grasp by psychic energy and as Dmitri is falling he makes a shot of fortune towards the container, blasting at it with his twin linked wrist laser. The laser charges only firing just as he hits the ground his helmet now dented the visor cracked and his breastplate partially collapsed in.

Gilgamesh has posed:
As the watch is blasted Gilgamesh seems to return to his senses, "Oh shit!" He looks at first towards Rocket Red, to make sure he's not dead, then over to Masterson. "You son of a bitch." He takes a step towards him, shaking his head. Gil's teeth are gritted in a show of anger as he speaks, "If I wasn't trying to be a good role model I'd literally rip your head off. But since I'm a sweetheart I'll let the cops and the Justice League handle you." That being said, he's not about to let the guy escape so he grabs him by the lapels in one hand and levitates about twenty feet into the air with him.

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Rocket leans up from his position on the ground. His bearded face is visible through the shattered visor that once hid his identity. He leans up to a setting stance, returning Gilgamesh's glance with a thumbs up and a smile, his front tooth visibly missing from the lineup as he looks over. "I'm alright comrade, only a little bit of bleeding." He adds as he turns back to the ground and pushes himself up to a stand.

Masterson is filled with shock as his ticket to fame is destroyed before his very eyes. He screams out a loud "NO! This can't be happening" before he's grabbed by the lapel and lifted high off of the ground, kicking his legs as if that'll some how get him dropped back to the floor where he can make his escape.

Gilgamesh has posed:
"I'm sorry, man," Gilgamesh says to Dmitri. "I'll take you out for a beer and a bite to eat after we take care of this jerk."

Looking at said jerk the Eternal asks him, "Where the hell did you get that thing? Answer quickly or I'll drop your ass in the Hudson and see how fast it takes for you to freeze solid." He grins, and not in a friendly way, "You made me attack my new friend over there. I am not feeling at all generous."

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
"Hey no problem comrade, I was thinking to myself, maybe it's not good idea to listen to the man who seems to control peoples minds, and I was right." Dmitri lets out a low chuckle before moving over to the car. He pauses for a moment before holding out his hand the glow of his visor shining out as bits of visor lift back up into the air placing themselves back together in the helmet of his suit. His armor begins to puff back out into shape though the paint on it appears to have been mildly damaged by the encounter.

He focuses all of his attention on the effort looking down towards himself as Gilgamesh works with the target. There's plenty to go around between the both of them.

"I stole it from an estate sale in Westminister." He admits in a pleading tone of voice looking towards Gilgamesh with an expression of sheer terror on his face. "I didn't think anyone would mind it going missing, but then these thugs started following me, I promise I just wanted to be a politician I didn't want to hurt anyone."

Gilgamesh has posed:
Gilgamesh says, "Take it up with the cops, asshole," Gilgamesh tells the would be politician. "You tried to make me commit homicide using a magical watch. I'm pretty sure that counts as attempted murder. I, for one, cannot wait to testify against you in court. And I'm betting some of your former fans, who froze during a robot attack, are going to want to join me."

Calling down to Rocket Red, the guy currently flying asks, "Can you see if there are any police nearby? I'd very much like this guy to get taken away.""

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
Dmitri pauses once his suit is more or less repaired and gives a bright thumbs up. "Okie doke Comrade" Before he runs off around the corner kicking off into flight as he flies out of view.

Masterson sighs low dropping his head before he offers. "I knew I should have stolen more of them." He looks off to one side down the street finally stopping in his efforts to kick away the person holding him about twenty foot off of the ground.

Gilgamesh has posed:
"There are more of those things out there?" Gilgamesh asks exasperated. "Alright, keep talking. Let me hear the whole story and all about this magical stuff."

He begins to slowly lower to the ground, though he's not letting go of his captive yet. "Don't leave anything out. If Hydra's after this stuff it can get really messy for a lot of people really quickly. You wouldn't want that, would you?"

Dmitri Pushkin has posed:
"There are thirteen shards in total from what I could tell at a glance" Masterson offers looking over towards Gilgamesh. "Supposedly they once made up an orb that gave Socrates much of his wisdom." He lets out a low sigh. "I'm not entirely sure how much of that is true of course but I know power when I see it and those things radiated raw power." He pauses a moment. "I didn't think anyone would miss one if it went missing from the Drechsler estate."

"If I had to guess I'd say the other shards would still be in london." He pontificates as he's lowered to the ground feeling a fair bit more comfortable as Dmitri comes back around the corner with a police car held above his head as he flies into view setting the car and the officer down onto the ground with the greatest of care.

Gilgamesh has posed:
"Thanks, tovarisch," Gilgamesh calls out to Dmitri as he starts marching his captive over towards the police car. With his free hand he waves at the cops, "This guy tried mind controlling a bunch of people, including myself. Also, he was attacked by Hydra robots. Can you be so good as to arrest him and take my statement and all that stuff so we can get him prosecuted properly? And also so we can try to figure out if there are more of those robots out there."
