Synopsis: Blake and Monet meet at the Hellfire Club and talk over wine
Cast of Characters: Monet St. Croix, Blake Riviere

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix rarely goes to establishments such as this. But every now and then one needs a degree of peace. And peace that comes from somewhere fit to one's class. Monet may not be considered a VIP, but she can certianly afford the cover charge. Wearing an elegant red dress, Monet is browsing the wine list. Looking for something to catch her attention that's actually drinkable and not something on the menu clearly for status.

Someone wants to enjoy what they're imbiding, not show it off. A plate in front of her of shellfish is being worked on slowly and daintily, Monet taking her time and enjoying the atmosphere.

Blake Riviere has posed:
A location like this was...comfortable, if only for her own sake. She'd been amongst the Hellfire Club's membership under the 'official' guise of being the daughter to the 'Old Money' of what had been Blake herself. Of course, there were probably those in the group that knew or guessed her secret, but there were stranger things than her out there.

Her own form wrapped in an elegant black backless dress, deep red lipstick paired with the deep red stones decorating her neck.

Making her way towards the bar, Blake's gaze draws over the gathered patrons, of course coming to settle on Monet herself and earning a nod of her head as she placed her order.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix's family were called 'Legacy' members for all the power that had. Monet St. Croix was more than happy to use it's facilities. Expense that they were, but excellent for what one received. A few words whispered here and there got the results that one needed, even if pricy. And Monet can appreciate this.

For whatever reason her attention would stir over onto Blake and M would take a look in her direction. The scent of.. Blood on the woman. Not necessarily a recent thing, but most here had at least the class to clean up before entering in. Monet's nose would wrinkle in a noticable way.

Blake Riviere has posed:
Faint beneath the scent of sweet perfumes before she makes to set herself down at one of the tables before lifting her glass of wine to her lips, gaze meeting M's own over the rim while the sweet taste is on her lips. It wasn't quite the nourishment she intended for this evening, indeed it offered her absolutely nothing beyond the sensation these days.

Lowering the glass, it's lifted lightly in greeting to Monet.

Consideration comes from the vampiress before she shrugs, lazily making her way towards Monet's table with a tilt of her head. "Quite the suprise to find you dining alone."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would glance at Blake, "Sometimes one just wishes to contemplate solitude amongst the upper classes. Not that they're equal to me.. But sometimes one wishes to be with their ilk. And here has a pleasant, and mostly quiet atmosphere." Monet's shroud of ego is about herself, and she's at peace; as much as she gets to anyways.

She would take a sip of her drink and a bit eof one of her shellfish, then gesture to the vampires sto join her.

Blake Riviere has posed:
"Ah," Blake muses, sttling herself down to take the seat offered and offering a quirk of her lips. "And yet you come to the public house rather than hide away in the private rooms." Lifting her drink to her lips, the vampiress tasted another sip and that faint scent of blood seemed that little bit lighter, perhaps overpowered by the beverage before she spoke again.

"But it is not so strange, the desire to be around people even if not of them."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would tsk, 'If I wished to wall myself away, that would be simple. but I wish for the.. Sense of here." Of the bustling drinks, the quiet conversation, the atmosphere of the establishment. "I find it relaxing." To be around.. People but not to have to interact with them. OR even make them bask in awe of her.

"And what brings you here, then?"

Blake Riviere has posed:
"Bordem, a desire for entertainment or company and an abundance of time to occupy I suppose," Blake answers, idly eying her glass before settling it down, her deceptively delicate digits toying with the stem while they speak.

"Besides sometimes having no plan beyond finding a drink and seeing what interests me has led to a decent evening."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would 'ah', "I see. So looking for something to alleviate one's lack of entertainment." Perhaps not the exact phrase or way to put things, but close enough.

"The atmosphere here is.. Appropriate. One of the few locations in the city that has it."

Blake Riviere has posed:
"True enough," Blake muses, shrugging her bared shoulders with a quirk of her painted lips. "We all like to have something to do, something that makes us smile or at least holds our interest. Peace and silence only get one so far after all."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would take another small, small sip of her wine, "There is a different kind of peace amongst these gatherings so long as they are not disconcordant." Another evaluatory and assessing glance given oer to Blake.

Blake Riviere has posed:
She wasn't dressed in her gothic skirt and ribbons that had her looking like some Goth-punk dream, but Blake's senses were no less sharp herself when she was outside of the fighting they'd encountered last time. Of course it took her a moment without the scent of alien dinosaur blood to for her to recognize it, a small furrow of her brow hinting that moment of recognition.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would likewise seemingly recognize Blake at the same moment as that little bit of awareness went through her eyes. "... We're here to socialize and relax. Business can stay outside the door." She would reply

Blake Riviere has posed:
A nod of understanding, a quirk of her lips. Of course, Blake's eyes were blue, her fangs hidden away and looking perfectly 'normal', but she was well aware Monet had seen her up close with the other hero, even handed her the 'spear' she'd made. It was very much a moment for the vampiress to chuckle lightly. "Well. At least I managed to find exceptional company after all."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would quirk her lips upwards at the copmliment, "Thank you. The same to yourself." Having not asked the other woman's name. That sort of thing wasn't polite after all. The two were here to relax and enjoy themselves. "I suppose I can at least treat you to an item on the menu." Saying this with great magnaminity

Blake Riviere has posed:
Asking names was probably rude, but leaving introduction unvolunteered wasn't much better. A little smile, blake shrugs her shoulders once more. "I am Blake Riviere, it is a pleasure to properly meet you." As for the menu, she gestures lightly. "Oh please, feel free to suprise me. As you can likely imagine I came mostly for a drink."

The vampire's little smile remains, clearly amused at her own double meaning.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod at Blake, "A pleasure to make your acquaintance in a proper atmosphere. I am Monet St. Croix." Her extended pronunciation of it in French making it clear where she was from. "I am told that the chardonnay here is.. Acceptable, and given I do not know your preferred vintage, it seems a reasonable default." She would gesture casually at a waiter.

Blake Riviere has posed:
Blake's own accent carrying those French tones did indeed suggest Monet was accurate on her assessment. A little nod as the order is made and Blake's glass is left to be collected and replaced. "There is a place for favorites certainly, but one doesn't shy away from trying something new. After all, I did come out tonight as much to solve a lack of entertainment as much as a thirst."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would make an order to the waiter, then go to take another small sip of her own drink. "I do hope that you're able to find enough light entertainment to keep you going. I.. Find thisvenue relaxing. Particularly in light of recent affairs."

Blake Riviere has posed:
"It is...familier," Blake muses, speaking softly. "Reminds me of home, the club and the people. But sometimes it is nice to go out among others, the nightclubs, the 'lesser' bars. I believe some people would say 'slumming it'. Having some variety can be good, even if most of us have appreciation for finer things."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Is now the time for a polite inquiry as to what 'home' was for the other girl? Monet might be curious, but that's something that goes against the boundaries of normal conversation. T he curiousity doesn't reall show in her eyes. "Too many places present but the illusion of finery without the -capabilities- of it."
