Robotman is a former racecar driver turned into an odd weird science cyborg who is a member of medical misfits called the Doom Patrol with a penchant for running into surreal and weird science shenanigans and punching them to death.

* 1950: Born in Little Rock, AK

* 1970: Joined NASCAR, voted most promising young racer

* 1974: Won his first championship, became one of the most successful racers in the world

* 1984: Had a tragic accident with his wife and daughter, of whom his daughter was the only 'survivor' though his brain was retried by Dr. Niles Caulder

* 1995: First awareness of self as "Robotman" and joined the first incarnation of the Doom Patrol

* 2001: Original Doom Patrol defeated by General Immortus, Cliff is extremely depressed and committed

* 2010: Doom Patrol recreated, Robotman joins

* 2018: Doom Patrol has cyclic adventures and various defeats but becomes somewhat scarce and out of the public eye. Robotman is not seen.

Courage:
Cliff has quite a bit of courage and will do the right thing (most of the time) even the face of overwhelming odds. He's not suicidal, but will ignore even what seems like it is common sense if it means the right thing to do.

Heart On Sleeve:
Cliff wears his heart on his sleeve. What you see is what you get, and he has a lot of passion about things. He is at the end of the day, pretty straight forward about living life to its fullest and experiencing all the passions therof. He will tell it like it is, sometimes when he shouldn't.

Protective:
Cliff is very protective of people and things he cares about. This can extend to even maudlin levels of nostalgia over things messed up, things missed or things that are important to him or even important to the people to the people who are important to him.

Ageless:
As a mostly mechanical being he is, for practical purposes, immune to aging.

Endurance:
Cliff basically doesnt get tired and can keep going indefinitely. He takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Hand Heaters:
He has powerful heating coils in his hands which can allow him to mess up metal or asphalt but they are INCREDIBLY destructive in close proximity and he only uses them on stationary unmoving targets since it takes about 30 seconds to get up to maximum temperature.

Robot Body:
His own body is very hard to hurt and almost entirely mechanical able to ignore machine gun fire or things that would hurt others. It is also impervious to heat, cold, electrical and acid damage to a high degree though he is certainly no superman. When he is damaged, he can be repaired with relative ease in ways that wouldn't function for others. He couldn't build his body, but he can repair it and it does seem to repair itself slowly over time though it isnt nanites. Cliff hasn't worked out how that works. He does need oxygen but he has a reserve tank that lasts up to an hour. He has superior sight and hearing but this has drawbacks (see vulnerabilites) He also has magnetic plates in his feet that lets him on metal surfaces.

Super Speed:
He can get speeds of up to 60 miles per hour but when he does he is only moving in a straight line, usually over distance, certainly not with any fine tune turning ability.

Super Strength:
Cliff can lift 30 tons with no problem at all.

Skills

Combat:
Cliff has become redonkulously skilled at combat for someone with the motor skill limitations he has, and can take on many opponents in hand to hand at once; he not only has skill at fighting, thanks to the doom patrol he is used to fighting WEIRD things and winning (well...most of the time.)

Craft and Repair:
He can not only repair cars but also himself. He has done a lot of home improvements over time, and learned a lot of crafting skills including welding, carpentry, electrical wiring and metallurgy.

Driving:
Cliff is really really good at driving. He was the Indy driver in the country for the better part of a decade and those skills haven't gone away. Since then, he has spent his time in isolation pretty much learning to drive virtually anything. He is no test pilot, but if it has four wheels and a door you will find few people who exceed his skills, and if it something else that flies, drills or pings underwater he can at least make it go from point A to point B.

Daughter:
The one true bright spot in his life, Cliff has reconnected with his daughter and has developed a close, if awkward relationship with her and her very young grand daughter. It gives him a connection to the world.

Doom Patrol:
His buds who hate his guts and love him at the same time, current or former members of the doom patrol have his back in ways that few others really can. They are ...unique...as a super hero team and that perspective helps them stay close.

Finger:
Cliff got the chief to wire up a single finger which he keeps in a box that he can use to feel things. It is literally his only way of feeling things in the outside world.

Weaknesses

Disconnection:
Cliff's condition leads to a broad sense of ennui and disassosiation from the world at large stem from being essentially immortal and watching the world change and realize he won't change with it.

Fixaton:
Sometimes Cliff will get an idea fixed in his head and be insanely stubborn about it even if he rationally knows this is a bad idea. This is particularly frequent in his desire to be a protector, even if the person being protected doesnt want his help.

Lack of Feeling:
Cliff is (generally) unable to touch or taste or smell anything. Hearing and sight are great, and better than being dead, but he can only have liquid food like beer, and he doesnt really taste that, and he feels nothing.

Large:
Cliff's body is large, gangly and irregular and things built for humans or even large organics just dont really work very well for him. Clothes dont fit, most vehicles strain to contain him, seats break, doors can sometimes break because of misapplied strength etc.

Motor Skills:
Cliff has a fast speed in some servo motors, which is what allows him to perform well in combat, but he has limited mobility other times. Fine tuned close up work requires tools and immense patience because his hands just don't have the fine tune dexterity of regular organics and while he can mimick MOST of the full motions of the body there are just odd awkard motions that sometimes do not work.

Weird Science:
Cliff is put together with metaphorical chewing gum and chicken coop wire. Other super scientists that examine the bizarre ways the Chief put him together often shake their head at the sheer BIZARRE design choices and time consuming difficulty at upgrading him. Its not IMPOSSIBLE for another super scientist to upgrade him, just time consuming and difficult.
