Hannah Montalcini is a neurodivergent homeless girl with the power to enhance the damage of her unarmed strikes and then, if the thing struck is alive, heal them about twice as much as she hurt them (she can't choose to do one without the other).
She'll unhesitatingly admit her power makes no sense whatsoever.

Timeline

Timeline:
* 2004: Born in Milan, Italy, to Gilda (ER physician) and Robert (unsuccessful boxer) Montalcini.
* 2007: Robert begins training Hannah in boxing, hoping she may one day achieve the success he never did. She doesn't take it as seriously as he does, but finds the unambiguous performance feedback to be comforting.
* 2014: Hannah begins to show symptoms of a debilitating neurodegenerative disease. This causes gradual blindness, seizures and considerable suffering.
* 2020: Hannah becomes an inpatient at the hospital where her mother works.
* Late 2021: Hannah sinks into a coma. Shortly after, she develops healing powers, which reverse most of the damage, then afterward let her heal herself and others through violence (partly due to her father urging her to "fight off" the disease).
* 2022: Hannah, now living at home again, finds her very existence protested by anti-mutant bigots. Struggling to find chances to use her healing powers - and aware of the stress on her parents, she hastily leaves the country. She becomes homeless.

Personality

Aromantic Asexual:
Hannah simply doesn't get that whole "love" thing people are so obsessed with.

Cheerful, Fearless:
She tends to be happy and untroubled by circumstances, despite what she's been through... or perhaps because of it? There's little that can happen to her that's worse than she's already suffered, after all.

Impulsive and Violent:
While Hannah doesn't usually act entirely without thinking, and she can even be rather introspective at times, she has a tendency to be quick to action when action seems to be required, and often when it isn't. This sometimes causes more problems than it solves.
Especially since the only things she believes she's any good at are hitting and healing people by hitting them, so those are the options she usually goes with.

Lack of Confidence:
Despite her positive outlook, Hannah lacks confidence in her own abilities. This won't usually affect her in a fight or when someone needs help, especially if not acting seems to be no better than failing, but she tends to underestimate herself and, if given time to worry, she may end up overcome with anxiety.

Sense of Obligation:
Hannah believes that, without her power, she would be dead or in terrible agony. She has convinced herself that she therefore has an obligation to use this power for good, and that she's otherwise fairly unimportant as a person; she's aware that this isn't entirely logical, but it helps keep her driven, even when she's tempted to give up.

Character Sheet

Powers

Dense Muscles, Low Fat:
While not outside human limits, Hannah is considerably stronger than would be expected for her size. Of course, with that size being 145 cm (4'9") tall, many ordinary humans have greater brute strength. It's fortunate she has her power to more than compensate, where violence is involved.

Harm & Heal:
Hannah's unarmed blows impart a form of life energy into anything she strikes; the harder she hits, the more energy transfers. This energy first harms whatever it affects, and tends to be more effective on tougher victims, but then - if the target is alive - gradually heals about twice the damage done over the course of several minutes. Hannah herself gets a less potent version of this healing as a side-effect, which also gradually undoes physical changes such as tattoos or bodybuilding. The healing goes for the most recent injuries a person has sustained but can repair old injuries over time.
Magical or other interference may unpredictably alter the effects. This power only heals physical traumas and injuries, and cannot regenerate or replace anything the person couldn't heal from normally, but can sometimes disrupt magically-induced physical transformations.
Hannah can't directly use the power on herself. If a blow somehow affects multiple things (such as if Hannah punches while wearing gloves), the energy will be distributed amongst them.

Tough Hand & Arm Bones:
The bones of Hannah's arms and hands are denser than normal, allowing her to punch harder with less risk of injury, even without hand protection.

Skills

Cooking:
Mom was rarely home and dad's cuisine skills were lacking. Hannah learned out of necessity. She isn't a talented chef, but her food is palatable.

Mental Arithmatic:
Hannah's uncanny knack for numbers would be more useful if people didn't have phones that can do this stuff for them.

Override Physical Limits:
Hannah is confident in her ability to heal through combat and so is training herself to push past the instinctive safeguards that protect people from damaging themselves. She needs more practice to do this consistently.

Unarmed Combat:
Hannah has had some boxing training, which she has supplemented with general brawling practice. When her power manifested, she gained both an inherent knack for these and the equivalent of several years of practice, but her skills are well within human limits. She is still significantly better at boxing than other aspects of fighting.

Resources

Poverty:
Hannah didn't bring much with her when she left Italy, and most of what she did bring is already gone; all she has left is her outfit, two eyebrow pencils and a paring knife. Someone even stole her wig!

Weaknesses

Abnormal Appearance:
Hannah has no hair anywhere on her body (she uses eyebrow pencil to make her facial expressions more readable). In combination with her short stature and thick hand bones, these traits may draw attention and unpleasant remarks.

Mild Autism:
Hannah's autism is not overwhelming, but it does have consequences for social interaction, and being outside her comfort zone can be stressful. Fortunately, she finds slamming her fists into suitably resistant objects - such as punching bags or walls - to be calming (this is known as "stimming").

Nerve Damage:
Hannah's power has reversed most of the damage caused by her medical condition, but hasn't actually cured it. The self-healing portion of her Harm & Heal power is keeping it under control (she needs merely trigger this every day or two), but some of the damage seems irreversible.
She usually struggles with anything requiring fine dexterity, and she has both occasional brief muscle spasms and a persistent neuropathic tremor (her hands tend to shake, for example); these tend to vanish while she's fighting, but gradually worsen if she doesn't heal (she'll also be in constant pain).
As a side effect, she's more difficult (but not impossible) for telepaths to communicate with, read or control.

Power Dormancy:
Although Hannah can use Harm & Heal on noncombative targets, thereby receiving the healing she needs to survive, her power will stop working if she doesn't use it in combat periodically.
