Zatanna Zatara has posed:
The candles had nearly burned down to nothingness in the study of Shadowcrest. And while Zatanna could have easily just spoken a couple of words to illuminate the room again, she was getting tired. Upstairs from her, her guest slept, tucked into bed, and Zatanna had to do research. Half of a bottle of wine had been gone through as she set aside another book. "There has to be something..." she said to herself as she rose to her feet, pulling the robe around herself and retying it. She'd been through a dozen tomes on dimensional travel already. None gave her the answer. Surely, what science has done, the arcane could undo. At least that was the young woman's hope.

Her spells had come up short - she could send someone around the world - but she could not shift them between dimensions or across time. She would need help.

Sitting back down with another set of books, Zatanna laid her head upon the top of them. "Just a few minutes." she murmured.

The dream came to her that night. The world swirled and moved. Zatanna looked down at what was a group of men gathered around a table. They placed their swords forward and announced their names...

Lancelot...
 ...Gawain...
  ...Percival...
   ...Bedivere.

As they spoke their names, the iris in the middle of the table opened, wider and wider, winding and growing -- until it opened a passageway. Tumbling through it, Zatanna landed in a desert. In the distance, the mountains loomed. And the machines roared. Half-Sentinel, half-human monsrtosities that she fled from, into a box canyon. The creatures closed in on her, and she stepped back, sliding through a false room and sliding into a chamber. Standing up, she tried to make sense of the markings and glyphs on the walls. And in the center of the room, a pool of clear water glowed with unnatural light.

Trepedaciously, Zatanna approached the pool, and looked down into it. And there, she saw herself. Multiple versions of herself.

...a bookstore owner.
...a housewife.
...the Sorceress Supreme.
...a masked vigilante.

"All you have to do is step into it and take on life anew." she was told, a feminine voice behind her. "But it's not for me..." Zatanna responded.

"When you find me, you will find her way home." she said. And Zatanna stepped into the portal.

Snapping awake in the study, Zatanna stared down at the book that was opened in front of her. It was a dusty tome on Arthurian legends, and it read:

'...he shall be born that shall sit there in that siege perilous, and he shall win the Sangreal.'

Zatanna quickly jotted down the notes she needed and stared at the book. She was going to need help. She couldn't pinpoint where she was, but the mountains looked familiar. She was going to need someone to help her explore, to find her way.

Getting out her phone, she scrolled through it until she pulled up the information for WAND and dialed the number.

"This is Zatanna Zatara... can you please put me in touch with Lady Croft? I need some information and she may be the only one that can help me."
