Date of Scene: 30 July 2022
Location: The Rossi Building
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Alexis Carr, Susan Sullivan, Beroe Kazinski

Alexis Carr has posed:
FyreMuse is coming off its first recital, sponsored in part by Wayne Enterprises, and has gotten a lot of attention over the last week -- enough that its owner/dance mistress/main instructor has been asked to have a once-a-month drop-in dance class for adults. The first one was gently announced, via a sign on the door, to gauge if she'd even want to work with grown-ups -- who can be very insistant on their own capacities!

So she was in leggings, a light wrap skirt of gauzey material and a T-shirt that identified her as STAFF. Her long, dark hair was bound up in a proper bun, and the dimunitive Alexis Carr has a couple boxes of ballet slippers hanging out, and was stitching ribbon to a pair of hot pink slippers.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Dressed in a long, sleeveless jacket, tights, uggs, and a beanie, Susan arrives and enters the building. At first, she's not even entirely sure it's the right place, given the comic book store being so in-one's-face. However, she does soon find the path to the dance studio, entering cautiously.
"Hello?" she asks. "Is this the adult dance whatever?"

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
Holding up her phone, to her face, and looking right at it, she finds the entrance to the comic shop. "Oh, this is what that reviewer was saying. SevenToads89. There's a cool comic shop below the dance studio!" And she grins, but is looking at her phone still, and then she turns it to a selfie camera, with the front of the comic shop in view and herself, "Gonna go show off how well I can't dance! Wish me luck, so nervous!"

Then she uploads and walks into the comic shop. It's very distracting, so distracting she is at some of the figurines, the comics, looking over some of the titles, mostly in anything anime related type areas, but also looking over at the gaming stuff. She's dressed with fox ears on, some really short-shorts and a bit of an over the top tank + fishnet combo.

Finally tearing herself away from geekdom, she heads to the stairs to go up. FireMuse, entering she beams, "Hello! I'm here to stumble over my own two feet. This is social challenge number 672 on my list." Her eyes immediately turn to the person who walked in before her, "What number is it on your list? Or, oh, wait, maybe you are the teacher?" Her eyes get wide in question.

Alexis Carr has posed:
Alexis looks up from where she was sitting, and gives a cheery smile. "Yes, you've reached the drop-in class. I'm Alexis, the instructor." she smiles, setting aside the ballet slipper she was working on and coming to a stand. She was already ina pair of slightly worn, soft pink slippers, and goes to offer a clipboard to Susan. "If you would sign in, please -- name, phone number and E-mail address. I promise, it's just for the insurance record. I'm not going to call you, but the E-mail is so I can alert to changes i nscheduling. You know how New York is." she gives a smile to Beroe next.

"You're CuteLikeAFox, right?" she questions of the influencer in her crisp British accent, and gives a smile.

"I've been stumbling over my own two feet since I was four. I'm sure you'll manage just fine." she offers as a joke, handing a clipboard to her as well.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan looks at the empty sign-in sheet. She doesn't reach for a pen, taking a few moments to look over the document, she just stands there. Eventually, she pushes her hands into her pockets. She does notice the other woman come into the studio. When she's identified by a username, Susan raises a hand. "I do not give my consent! You may not use my likeness on the internet!"

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
From Susan's back to Alexis, Beroe changes her attention as the British accented woman speaks up. Then her eyes get even wider, "Oh my god. You know my insta?!" She clenches her fists together and shakes them in a bit of exaggerated excitement, "That's so totally cool. I super rarely get random people knowing me! Wowwie!" And then she's oh-ing and grabbing the clipboard, "Right, gotta sign in. Totally. Definitely. Here we go. Oh, and if you message me on Insta just like, say you are the dance instructor, and I'll totally respond. I'll even follow you, and give shoutouts."

Then she grins a bit bigger, bobbing her head back and forth a bit, dark black hair, "Is the comic shop yours as well? I feel like I'm going to be losing a lot of money to it." Already filling out the form, she hands it back, and nods her head a few times to Susan, "Way to be so courageous. It's difficult to stand up against internet policies, but - I didn't see where there was any internet uploading going on." She looks back over in the direction of the clipboard she handed off, and gives a little shrug. With that though, she does push her arm through space, yes, a little portal opens up and she just sticks her arm into it, when she pulls it out, she has no phone in hand. As intuitively and unconcerned as one might open a fridge.

Alexis Carr has posed:
"I've gotten linked to your instagram for some costume ideas for some of my students." The instructor explains with a smile. "Some are all right for stage... others... mmm... a little risque for my twelve-to-fourteen group." she offers as a small joke to Beroe, and smiles to Susan.

The document is simple. It asks for a name, for a phone number, and an E-mail address for alerts. The name and phone number is listed for insurance purposes so that if an injury occurs Alexis can report it to her insurance agency for liabilty. There is a pen attached to the clipboard by a pink ribbon and swings patiently back and forth.

"I own the building, but rent out to the comic book shop downstairs. It belongs to the friend of my former fiance." she explains. "Once the signins are... well, signed in, we can get to your slippers and then some warm-ups."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan isn't put at ease by portals putting phones somewhere unknowable. She centers herself, and it suddenly becomes incredibly easy to just forget she's there and ignore her like she's part of the background. She takes slow, deep breaths, stepping with evenness toward the door.

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
With a little, grin, "Wowwie. That's great! I'm sure all the small businesses you are helping sure appreciate it." Beroe moves into a slightly bigger grin, and then a little shrug, with her eyes going up toward the ceiling, "Welllllll, I tend to go with the flow of the followers, and what gets the likes. Gotta keep in business to help promote really cool items." Lifting up her head, she points to the spiked choker, "This is from Ginsu8D5M, and his retail shop, lots of leather and spikes, but still was a sweet gift."

Still smiling, Beroe starts to walk around the room, clasping her hands behind her back as she just curiously starts to explore. Even if Susan is going to be a while, Beroe's drawn to some of the windows so she can look out, and get the light, "Oh, that's a complicated relationship that you are navigating. That's amazing, just goes to show, you are a great business owner. Relationships, it's all about'em!" And she's looking back out the window, sort of losing track of the woman who needed to sign the clipboard, waiting now on the class to start.

Alexis Carr has posed:
Susan begins to fade from Alexis's attention, the clipboard forgotten for the moment as Alexis begins to forget her presence, not noticing as the other woman retreats.

"I'm not sure if I'm helping any other small businesses, most of my students opt to hand-make their costumes for specialized dances, or have me order them through different sites." Alexis smiles, "mostly it's basic dance outfits though. Now -- what's your shoe size? I've prepped a number of ballet slippers to make it easier on anyone who'd stop in for the class--" she gives a smile, accepting back the clipboard from Beroe and looking it over.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
As much as dancing would have been good for both her figure and her coordination, Susan isn't a slouch. She still does yoga and parkours some and...well...all the running around doing superhero stuff...that's gotta count for something. She opens the door, looking at the other two women who yet ignore her. She gives a smile and a slight wave that are also infinitely forgettable and slips out.

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
Already being rather oblivious to the world around her, makes Susan's exit stage left that much easier to do on Beroe. And once she's getting questions from Alexis it centers her attention on the owner, having forgotten she wasn't the only person, about, as it's been, "I'm so nervous, okay, my shoe size. Right. 6 generally! US women's, I could convert it to EU if that's what you have?" Though she's walking over in the direction of the other woman, "I'm soooooo nervous."

A quick giggle escapes her, through a big grin, not that she shows any real anxiety. More excitement, and still a willingness to be here, "I basically have two moves, when it comes to dancing, and so I figured I needed to expand my repertoire. TikTok's get old, real fast, if you only ever waggle your hips and roll your arms with a mini-torso twist. But, hey! It's worked thus far ... though, are, we... is this a ballet class? I didn't really ... read the full post, just the headline."

Alexis Carr has posed:
"This is a ballet class." Alexis gives a smile. "I graduated from a conservitory int he corps du ballet when I was fifteen, studying English-style Ballet -- with a smattering of Italian, since that's the form my father studied. I mostly teach ballet, with a little modern and lyrical if so requested." she rustles around a little bit, and pulls up a pair of pale yellow ballet slippers with silver-gray ribbons. She offers the box out to Beroe, before grabbing a second box, holding it for a moment, and then with a puzzled expression she sets the second box of slippers back down, and then undoes the ribbon on hers, and balancing on one foot, she shows Beroe how to tie the slipper properly, to make sure that everything is secure but doesn't cut off circulation!

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
"Wow, so you are a business expert AND a ballet teacher? That's a lot of skills right there. I, I can do makeup!" Beroe laughs a bit, smiling still, and then listens, "I didn't even know there were DIFFERENT types of Ballet. That's cool! You must be really good at it." Taking the box though she looks into it, "These are so cute!" Everything is a burst of energy or enthusiasm from Beroe's tone and she slips out of her sneakers and moves them to a spot near the door, or in shoe cubbies, if they exist. And then comes back to tie on the shoes, following along. Having done a lot of altering of clothes, and complex ribbon stuff, this part is at least pretty easy to follow. Once done, she reaches into that pocket of nowhere again, grabs her phone and quickly snaps a shot of the ribbon she's made, and the shoes, of course, before she tucks the phone back away into nowhere land.

Alexis Carr has posed:
The shorter woman gives a smile to Beroe. "Oh, I'm sure there's plenty of people better than me. You know what they say -- those who can, do, those who can't, teach." she offers in good humor. Once Beroe's sneakers are safely in the cubbie and she's returned with her.

"Computer?" she calls out, "Please play the Adult Warmup List."
She takes her position at the head of the classroom, and gives a smile to Beroe.

"So first up, we're going to do some stretches to make sure that our bodies are warmed up for ballet. Ballet works all of the muscle groups, from your head to your toes, but especially your legs and mid-section. Working out with barre exersizes helps trim up your middle and gives more support there."

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
There's a quick shake of her head, as Beroe responds, "I think you are being modest. So few people start their own businesses, you have to be good to teach. AND you have to have an eye for where others may be failing, and present that in a constructive way. Else you'd go out of business. Even if there are better folks out there, they don't have your skills in the same proportions." And she nods, a quick one, while smiling.

With a quick look up and around as the music starts, Beroe oooohs, "Wowwie, a full studio sound system. Oh, stretches? Okay. Let's um, do that. This is already sounding hard! Love a challenge."

Alexis Carr has posed:
"One of the reasons I started teaching children's classes. It's nice when they don't take it so seriously. The children's classes are all about having fun, about moving their bodies and learning music. This is actually my first 'adult' class." the instructor gives a small nod.

"And yes, stretches. Don't want to break any hamstrings while we're going about learning moves and technical terms, right?" she gives a bright smile, and she begins to stretch her middle.

"A friend helped me set up the Amazon assistant in here -- but my first name is so similar that we had to change the 'wake up' word." she laughs.

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
"Awwwww." Beroe clasps her hands together, one playing big spoon to the other, and then pulls them to her chest as she widens her eyes and leans forward a little, "That is SOOO sweet. Like, that you take the time to teach kids, giving them a great place like this to have fun AND learn all at the same time." She nods a few times, "Okay then! Fun and learning. But, I'm not sure what a hamstring is."

With that she giggles and tries to follow along, but is clearly NOT a person who stretches or does exercise much at all. Maybe walking? But unlike her counterpart she's just soft everywhere, "Oh oh, I get it, Alexa and Alexis. I could see how that's rough. I just use the standard installed, AI, setup like it is, for appointments and keeping my busy busy schedule straight. I couldn't do it, I don't have a mind for time, or dates, or scheduling!" A big grin at that, even as she keeps trying to follow along.

Alexis Carr has posed:
"It's a m uscle that runs along your leg to your butt. And when you hurt it, oh dear does it create a bother." Alexis answers back, and she leans forward, neatly folding herself in half. She is very stretchy, and sweeps her arms gracefully along the floor.

"So is it a busy schedule based on your influencing? Or do you have additional work aside from it? One business owner to another, of course." she asks with a smile as she straightens up, and then bends back down.

"Don't stretch yourself to pain, but just to this side of discomfort. Eventually the tendons and muscles will lengthen and relax. It'll help with flexibility."

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
Trying to mirror what's being done, Beroe starts leaning forward and then continues but is getting to part-of-the-way there when she starts to wobble, "You know SO much about bodies. That's... oh, oh, noooo." And she falls forward, and then tries to correct as she falls to her side, laughing with a big grin, "That is tough!"

Standing back up she takes in a deep breath, re-arranges her tank top a bit, and then starts to try bending over again. "Oh, busy, yeah. At this stage in my social media business I put in probably 4 or 5 times the amount of work of a model, movie star, and small business owner combined! For like, a twentieth of the return. But, I have a plan, and I'm getting better with every post. And, also, I just auditioned for a TV Show, which is cool, and I'm in! Not sure how I'll balance that with the super heroing I'm trying to do..."

And she is wobbling again, before she pulls back up a little, standing some more, and breathes a little heavily, "That is such a good workout." Placing her hands on her hips, she is shoulder elevating heaving already, "So, what about you? Do you do stuff outside of teaching performance arts?"

Alexis Carr has posed:
"Easy there! Try to part your legs a little more, lower your center of balance. Be like a tree -- trees have wide roots, yeah?" she smiles.

"So, social media and superheroing. Where you do base out of?" Alexis inquires conversationally.

She tries not to remind Beroe that this is just the warm up.

And Alexis lowers herself neatly into a split.

"This, incidentally, is why stretching your hamstrings is important. Otherwise this would really *really* hurt."

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
"Lower my center? Like, do a squat?" Beroe questions a bit, confused, not one to have ever really done yoga, exercise, or the like, but she thinks about trees. "You know my favorite part about trees? The way their leaves change with the seasons, it's so pretty, makes for GREAT pictures, and everyone gets so happy with them."

And then the topic changes, so she keeps up, starting to try and stretch bend again, after her few seconds of resting, "Base out of? Oh, New York City's finest low to middle classed apartment complexes." She jokes, as she giggles with her comment a little, "You know, like all the Avengers do. I'm like, I dunno, really just starting THAT path, when I've been doing social media stuff for a looooooong time." 2 years, is a long time to an 18 year old.

When the splits happen, Beroe's eyes get wide, "You are like, a gymnastic wizard!" She starts to lower herself down, slowly wiggling her feet so she's getting further and further down, holding her hands out and up a bit to keep her balance. "I don't believe my body can spread out like that..." She is grinning, and teasing herself a bit as she keeps trying to get stretched out.

Alexis Carr has posed:
"Your body might not to be able to yet. Like I said -- warm ups. With practice and repetition, you'll be able to improve your flexibility. It's good for your body, and sometimes I'll throw on some music and run through warm ups to think." she replies genially, and she turns a little pink at the complement.

"Oh, no, no, just someone who's had to do this since she could walk!" she jokes, and then she arches her right arm up and over her head, and goes to brush her fingers against the toe of her left foot. "Push to your comfort for now. I suppose your little space-pocket then is part of your superpowers?" she questions.

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
The whole, this is just 'warm ups' part just keeps flying over Beroe's head. She is getting a little winded just lowering herself to the floor then she stops and places her hands down to the ground so she can not-so-gracefully tip over again. Laying on the floor a moment, she rolls to her back and just breathes, in and out.

Your words continue her excitement though, "Wow, you've been doing this since you could walk? Was that last week for you as well?" She laughs and grins big before groaning lightly as she sits upright, "Whew. This Ballet stuff is REALLY hard. And I do layered costume make up, regularly. Oh?! You noticed?! Good eye!" Has she been thinking it wasn't obvious this entire time? She nods enthusiastically as she just sits on the floor, bracing herself with her arms extended behind her, "Yeah, totally. I can do bigger ones, and move people and stuff, too, but it's really - not super consistent yet. It sure is great though, no need for a purse, EVER! Though, sometimes, I wear one anyhow for shoutouts."

Alexis Carr has posed:
    Alexis begins to worry.

"All right, time for a break I see." Alexis replies, and she goes to grab a water bottle, and brings it over to Beroe. "Sit up and relax." she remarks with a smile, and then the shorter ballerina plunks down next to Beroe.

"Well, it's not often that cellphones appear and disapper into portals in my studio. And a couple of my students are mutants, and every once while there is... a flare up." she remarks, her eyes going up as she shrugs, "So I've learned to keep an eye on people's powers."

"And it must be handy to not have to carry a purse everywhere." she replies ruefully, "Think of how many times you've lost a chapstick in one!"

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
"Oh, thank god!" Beroe comments with a bit too much enthusiasm, as she laughs, "I am SO not in shape." There is water brought to her and she takes it, "Thank you thank you!" She takes off the top and starts sipping it, and mmmms, "Refreshing."

There's a few nods of her head, as there is an explanation, "Oh, some of my followers are mutants. I know, because they asked if I was one, but my mom says I'm not. But I make sure to moderate all my channels to make sure they are mutant inclusive, a total ally. I want to do some shots in Mutant Town, I was there for my first big heroing, and it's a place that needs a lot of support, but filled with great people." And she takes another sip of the water, and smiles around it, "You could be a detective, how keen your eyes are, then. Nothing gets past you." So, genuine, and happy!

With another sip of water, she is breathing easier and rocking her head back and forth a little to some internal level of hyperactive energy, "Losing chapstick? Oh, you mean, in the purse. Right. I could see that as a problem. I kind of lucked out. As soon as I started wearing clothes woman-enough to not have pockets, I could grab things through my natural pockets." And she reaches in to a hole she creates. From this angle Alexis can see that it's a hole, in space, more than a pocket, since as soon as it opens you can sort of see into what looks like a bedroom, hovering a bit over a night stand, and she grabs some chapstick that's there, and pulls it out, "See? Never lose it, it's always where I last put it." Then she pops it back in all rather well-practiced and smooth.

Alexis Carr has posed:
"Extremely clever." Alexis confirms of Beroe's ability and explaination, and she gives a gentle smile. "Oh, I'm not one for detectiving. I'll happily leave that to the professionals. Far too dangerous for little me." she laughs cheerily. She does tilt her head slightly, and look into the bedroom through the hole, and her eyebrows rise up as her lips purse. "Oh, I see, so it's a... space-time folding technique? If not mutant, than magical?" she questions, and then she tilts her head back, "Or alien, I suppose. I don't think I have any extraterrestrial students yet, but all are welcome here." she gives a small smile.

"This was an extension of classes I did at a community centre in Bushwick. I lived on the edge of the neighborhood, and my good friends were all mutants. I miss it, some days."

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
There's a softening of her features, as she does one of those wide eyed awwwwws, and says, "You think I'm clever? You are so sweet." But Beroe listens about professionals, and it being dangerous and she nods her head, "Yeah, you should leave it to the professionals. You have tons of great work to do here, don't get hurt. And if anyone were to break in here, don't worry, I'd definitely save you." As to the question about her powers she just shrugs, lifting up her hands to mimic anime or cartoon shrugs, not just using her shoulders, "I dunno. My mom doesn't really explain a lot of these things to me. Though, she is like a genius and I'm just me."

A quick pause and she smiles bigger, "Plus, I don't really ask her. I don't really wanna know, like I don't want to know who my biological parents are, I love my mom, doesn't matter if we don't share blood. And I love me, and all my ... powers, knowing where it comes from seems like it gets in the way of acceptance instead of broadening it." SHe oooohs at your description of a place that sounds foreign, "Is that back in ... Britain where you are from? If, that's where you are from? I don't really do geography."

Alexis Carr has posed:
"... oh no, Bushwick is part of Brooklyn. It's... the proper name for Mutant Town." Alexis gives a wry smile to Beroe, and she gives a laugh - partially at the 'being dangerous' part.

She didn't want to illuminate that she's street-fought in Gotham with bats and Bats. "My mum's a British opera singer. My father was a ballet master -- which means he's in charge of a ballet company."

And she gives another smile at Beroe, and replies:

"A mystery of existence, then, something to ponder if it occurs and then release to the wind. I can appreciate that." Alexis replies.

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
"Ohhhhhhhhh, my god. I probably sound like a ditz to you." Beroe says and keeps smiling, laughing a little bit and shaking her head, "I did NOT know that. Though that totally explains this comment, oh god, that was made, on one of my posts, and then I reply all like, foreign country, and ... it was Bushwick they were commenting about. They were like, I'm in Bushwick, and I'm like, cool if you come to New York, happy to sign that poster for you." She plants her hand on her face and shakes her head back and forth, laughing still.

Then the topic changes, thankfully, and she lets her hand slide off her face, "Oh! Ballet runs in the family then, like a family business. That's totally cool. My mom's a doctor, like Ph.D doctor, not like medical doctor, though, actually, she's both. So, clearly, I'm not following in those footsteps. But like, she's so cool, even old, she totally gets all the social media stuff. And supports me, and cheerleaded me on when I was getting started."

With your summary of her ideas, she beams and just nods her head, "Do you mind if I steal those words? I am SURE I can use them for a caption at some point. And they were so ... perfect about my, philosophy. Just, think about stuff and then let it go. Don't get too weighed down by thinking, enjoy the mystery."

Alexis Carr has posed:
"As long as I'm credited, I'll have to follow you on the Instagram -- AlwaysInTrebble." Alexis gives a smile, and she leans back on one arm as she gets to know Beroe a little better.

"You just have to be careful releasing too much into the wind. Piss into the wind, and it comes back." she offers as a little more practical wisdom, and gives a small wink as she laughs.

"And don't worry. I've long ago accepted th at not everyone has talents in the same area. I grew up... fairly privilaged."

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
With deft speed, Beroe has her phone back in her hands, and is already on Instagram and sending a friend request to AlwaysInTrebble, "Coooool, I'm CuteLikeAFox." She states and offers a beaming smile, "Oh, duh, right, you already said that! Haha." And she reaches up, after her phone is already gone, and she waggles her faux fox ears held on by a headband likely but that's hidden under her hair.

"Don't piss into the wind!? That's another good one. You could put that on a hat or t-shirt, or something. Totally some life advice. Thanks! You've taught me so much more than Ballet now, I'm totally going to youtube later everything Ballet, get a better idea of it all." Beroe smiles with that, not even realizing she hasn't really done any ballet at all. "All this working out makes me really want to have some ice cream, or a milkshake, but I'm still trying to go vegan. Save the animals and everything, some of my followers are big into vegan stuff, and it makes a whole lotta sense. But I DO really like a burger, so it's tough."

Alexis Carr has posed:
"I'm afraid I can't claim that one. That's from a book I read in year ten called 'Cowboy Wisdom'. I had a fascination with the American Wild West." she gives a small smile, and leans against the trailing and mirrored wall.

"It's difficult to balance the desires of your followers with your own, I suppose. You could balance out -- since not all veganism is friendly. For instance, Quiona. Fabulous replacement for meat in some mince recipies, but it's causing starvation in Peru where it's originally from. The amount of soy processing has caused some farmers to lose small farms, since they can't keep up with the demand that large corperate farms can." she looks up at the ears wiggling a moment, and then back to Beroe.

"It's difficult, but examining the macrocosm of the world and how you influence it may be something worth while to see. Depending on how many followers you have, there's a great amount of power right in the palm of your hand." she points out, and then plucks her phone from her side.

And accepts the friendship request. Her instagram? Mostly following some of her students, it looks like.

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
"Cowboy, wisdom." Beroe repeats, and is holding her phone up to her mouth, just having snatched it again from her bedroom's wireless charger, and then she's placing it back. "Oh, I still end up eating meat, there's other followers who want to see me eat food. And big juicy burgers fit the want, and I do try and order from good places, small businesses helping out the local economy. I tag all my photos, or tiktoks if they are vegan friendly or not."

With a quick exhale she smiles, and side rolls her eyes, "And I don't have the kind of mind like you or Colborn. I'm only so so at business management, and project stuff." Then she creates a gripped hand, like a fist, and swings it out in front of her, holding it still after, "But I won't give up!"

With that though, she ohs and blinks a few times, "I just, I never really think about how many people it's getting to, well, I mean, I DO look at the numbers, I study my metrics after every post, a day, three days, a week, and 2 weeks. Trying to always increase them, but I just want people who do good work to have a voice. And if I can show off their really great ideas, I will."

Her eyes pop open though, big and wide, "Oh oh oh oh oh! Hey. Do you want me to advertise your place? I could! My friend has a Blacksmith shop, and I'm working on a big post for him. Good guy, and you're a good lady, you've been super nice to me. Even though I can't keep up with your great muscles."

Alexis Carr has posed:
"Colborn? The bladesmith?" Alexis inquires, and she gives a a fist-bump to Beroe, and makes exploding noises.

"Well, should you choose to advertise it, I wouldn't m ind... other than the drop-in classes I have a private tutilage in Gotham City and then lessons here, but I can occasionally do one-on-ones as well."

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
There's a quick giggle happy smile as a fist-bump comes her way, and she almost doesn't bring up her hand in time but manages. And Beroe just laughs lightly at the exploding sounds, "Oh my god, you are a fist-bumper!? Now I HAVE to mention your place."

Then her jaw drops and she oooh ooohs! Waving her hand in your direction quickly to try and get your attention and excitement, "Like, wait a second. If you have a slow day, you know, when no one usually shows up. I could like, do an in-person poster signing, photo taking, merch drive. I don't do a LOT of in-person places with addresses, cause like, people won't let the next person get their picture cause they might get handsy or hug for a long time. It's really poor line etiquette, but I'm happy they are happy to show up. Anyways, like, that could bring in people?"

And then she's running her hand through the air, like 'imagine this', "And I could donate any money earned that day to the little girls taking ballet classes, or even better yet! To some Mutant ally organization, cause we are allies. What do you think?"

Alexis Carr has posed:
"Yes, I've been taught the sacred American ritual of the fist bump. I can also mash potato and knuckle-dust, apparently. The kids are kind of into teaching me American slang. Like when one yeeted a tennis ball across the room and bonked another student in the head." she explains with a small smile -- and then she gets a steel bit of glint to her expression. "If anyone tries to get handsy, I know a particular Kentuckian who would be glad to show them the door. I'm a big fan of body autonomy. And delivering nut-shots." she grumps, unusually crass with her level of phrasing, and she leans her head back a moment.

"Well... if you do so and start posting my picture, there may be some confusion. I mentioned how my father was a ballet master. Currently he heads a group called Pro-HUMANA." she frowns "Working against mutants, metahumans, extraterrestrials -- everyone."

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
Listening to you spout out words, and Beroe then laughs a little bit at the image of some little ballet girls tossing tennis balls about into other student's heads. And then when you talk about violence, to her followers, she gapes and shakes her head, "Oh, no, that's okay. Really. It is just, it slows things down and is unfair. I'm a big hugger, I love hugs. I'll hug strangers, and no one gets... too handsy, you know, it's just, sometimes, it lingers." She smiles and then offers, "But like, please don't kick anyone who shows up. Pleeeeease? I'm sure you have a great kick, it's just, then I get a downvote" she slumps her shoulders, "or a frowny face" she pouts with a furrowed brow, "or the dreaded unsubscribe!" She almost is screaming.

With a few quick breathes, and another sip of water, she shakes her head, "That would be a nightmare. It cascades. Though, the thing about your dad, who cares? He's lame. Just let me tell your story, and it'll all be good. People love a woman empowerment tale, and that Pro-Humana group can go ... elsewhere, it IS a free country, and they are pro humana, at least, they aren't against everything. Right? But, yeah, I'll totally be able to add you in, you know, your Insta handle is way cute as well, people will love it."

Alexis Carr has posed:
"Ah yes, the dreaded unsubscribe." Alexis gives a soft snort, and then she looks over to Beroe.

"You had mentioned knowing a Colborn. It so happens that I'm having some half-sized foils made for my students, since some of them wish to incorperate sword-play into their routines. I have to stop in to check on the project, actually..." she considers a moment, and then gives a wry smile.

"Thank you, I'm rather fond of the handle myself. I creazted it when I was fourteen so... it's six years old, now?" she wrinkles her nose a moment.

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
"Oh, yeah! Totally, I know him. I sort of bungled his first day here. It worked out though, now we're like BFFs." A few quick nods after she says that, and Beroe smiles, "He makes great stuff. Like, a lot of really cool, awesome, amazing things. Though he doesn't like it when I compliment him so much, but it's just so easy to say such good things about him and his work."

With that she smiles and oooohs, "Dancing AND swordplay? That's cool. It's like those action movies, with people flipping and jumping around. Oh my god, you're twenty?! And you own this business? That's intense, when I'm your age I hope I've got such a great handle on things."

Alexis Carr has posed:
"Yes, twenty, but I lived a live of priviledge, Beroe. One grandmother owns an elite music school, the other set of grandparents an exclusive winery in Italy. If I didn't have their support, this would not have happened." she explains.

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
Pulling out her phone again, Beroe checks it and smiles at the screen, "Wowwie, that super heroing yesterday is still going pretty strong. People are lovin' it." Then looking up she stretches, "Well, thank you for the ballet lessons, we'll coordinate something and get people here to your awesome studio. And it was great to meet you, I feel like we'll be good friends in no time!" And with that she offers a quick excited wave, before looking to head out.
