Friday Night Fight
Date of Scene: 08 October 2022
Location: Midtown - Founders Island
Synopsis: What a mess.

Phoebe, Austin and Jason show up to investigate a Fight Club that someone was talking about. Unfortunately Robbie's friend Eli was anxious and on the hunt, and when Yin and Yang (Gabby Kinney and her sister) showed up out of the blue, the situation went all red.

Codie Nixon, the man of the hour, happened to survive, but not before Phoebe had to break one of Batman's rules. Again.

Cast of Characters: Phoebe Beacon, Austin Reese, Jason Todd, Robbie Reyes, Gabby Kinney

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Saturday Night may be all right for fighting, but there's been talk along the attendees of Gotham University that there was a fight club that people were talking about -- and let's face it, we all should know the first two rules of Fight Club. The information had been passed around the Bats and fams, leading to the entry of a section of Old Gotham beneath a Midtown overpass, leading down into the dark, an antechamber that's been rigged up with party lights and a DJ stand, taking one part 'underground dance club ode to the classic triad of The Matrix' one part 'urban exploration fails' and one part 'definitely going to need a tetanus shot after this'.

Ripped apart (and probably ripped-off) pieces of fence form the cage around the roughly shaped ring, it might have been intended to be an octagon but appears to have nine and a quarter sides, minus the four-foot section you have to hop to get into the place.

There's a makeshift bar where someone's selling five dollar beer cans of the cheapest, rankest stuff you can buy wholesale in Gotham City, but the place is a party, filled with smoke and -- as someone points out -- bubbles from a bubble machine.

Phoebe walks in wearing ripped fishnets, her hair temporarily dyed orange and a pair of low, rimless orange sunglasses along with a surgical mask, peirced with rings and showing someone's ribcage. She has a spiked leather jacket on, along with a pair of gray leather motorcycle gloves, and she's wearing a Bat earpiece.

"I just hope Bane's friend isn't making an appearance tonight." she mutters quietly.

Austin Reese has posed:
<"Bane's friend isn't the guy we were talking about earlier, right? The one on the GCPD wanted list?"> This fight could probably be a who's who of people wanted by the GCPD, so Osprey's description probably doesn't actually narrow things down very much.

Getting into the party would probably have been easier going through the front door, but there was always a back way in to places like this. That's how he had found himself on a catwalk above the antechamber, looking down over the party below, <"There's a lot of folks here who we probably should take down. And it looked like they were checking for weapons, so the only guns should be on the guards.">

He shifted position to find a better vantage point, trying to get eyes on Balm since she's the one doing the most dangerous part of this mission. He doesn't want to let her go un-observed.

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason Todd is lurking. It's what he does. And he does it well. Hiding up in the shadows under the overpass, he tracks the ground team.

<<In position. I have PB in sight.>>

Red Hood is ready and waiting, his pistols drawn and converted into their merged carbine rifle configuration. He scans the crowd through the weapon scope.

He lowers the weapon to look around the area set up for the fighting and comments, <<6 out of 10, would recommend for future fight clubs. Relatively easy ingress. Harder for GCPD to find. Plenty of dark shadows for creatures of the .. Knight.. to lurk in. It'll play.>>

He glances back to Phoebe, <<Have I mentioned before that orange is a good color for you?>>

Robbie Reyes has posed:
Robbie Reyes has a nose for these things. Or more accurately, Eli does; and on nights like these, Eli's the one calling the shots.

The kid loitering by the darkened mouth of the antechamber doesn't look like much: he's lanky, six feet give or take a little. Dark hair, still sporting a tan from hours spent out in the sun. Battered leather jacket, skinny jeans with shredded knees and some Mexican metal band tee featuring a laughing skull. His boots look like shit kickers, and the way he watches the ongoing fight, like a hungry junkyard dog waiting for his spoils.

Austin and Jason don't seem to have been spotted yet on their little recon mission, but Phoebe he notices just fine. His gaze tracks her for a few moments on her way by, but he doesn't make to intercept her. Yet.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
<No. In this case Bane's 'friend' was Tezcatlipoca, Aztec god of ah... well. A lot of things that require blood sacrifice. Even with my voice back I'm pretty sure taking him on would be something *above and beyond* the call of our duty, but I'm not sensing a whole lot of magic power here anyway -- not that level. And was that a *pun* Hood?> Phoebe asks on the subvocal, lowering her glasses a little to look at Jason with narrowed eyes. She's even done her eyeshadow in matching orange.

She pulls out her phone, and sends an update Osprey's domino.

<We're looking for Codie Nixon. Codie's been in and out of juvie for fighting, violence, criminal tresspassing and once apparently tried to punch Batman in the face -- we all know how that works out. Wanted as accessory to a bank robbery where he was the get away driver in a stolen Porche and -- ooh, that tickles.>

Phoebe pauses, and she cracks her neck and rolls her left shoulder, as if adjusting a sore muscle, but she takes a quiet look around as she leans against a pillar so that her back is covered, and appears to be texting.

<And I know orange looks great on me. I've got that autumn complexion, you know?> she gives a little smile.

She shoots Robbie a text. A pair of orange circles connected with a hyphen. Look! Orange sunglasses!

Inside the octagonish, there's a bought going on. Two guys are barenuckle boxing. There's blood -- both current and old -- on the tarp-covered-concrete that serves as a mat in the ring. The DJ is spinning up some lowfi rap battle beats to serve as the throbbing music of the fight, and the alcohol is flowing freely

There's an uppercut, and the crack of a shattering jaw. The crowd goes nuts. People sling half-full cans of beer at the cage fencing and there's blood that spatters against a concrete barrier.

And Phoebe looks like she really wants to rush in and save the day.. or at least that dude's teeth. Eew.

The winner and the loser are both helped out of the cage, though the loser's thrown off to the side without so much as an ice pack to recover, and the winner is handed a bottle with some dark brown liquid in it. It appears to take his breath away, but at least the alcohol numbs the pain!

"All right ladies and gentlemen, who's up next? Who's next in the cage?" the DJ cries out, his voice altered by electronics.

Austin Reese has posed:
<"Roger. Okay. I'll try to spot our boy from up here." Osprey moves across his catwalk and then starts scanning for Codie, <"Oh right the blood for the blood god thing.">

He leans against the railing of the catwalk and pulls up Codie's picture from the GCPD database on his HUD, <"Our guy might be the next fighter. That'd make it tough if we have to jump in there and get him."> Maybe they could find some way to make sure he loses the fight. A beat up bank robber would be easier to take down.

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason Todd finger waggles as Phoebe looks directly up at him. He isn't even surprised she nows exactly where he is.

<Me? I'd never crack wise during an op.> A pause, <<Yes it was. I'm proud of it.>>

<<We're trying to catch a guy that tried to punch Batman? I'm suddenly having a hard time seeing him in a poor light.>> The tone is sarcastic. Almost admiring of the kid for the balls. It means Jason isn't only one out there. Does that mean he has 'people'? Maybe. But no. Not really. He just likes stirring up trouble.

<<Scanning the crowd. Say thank you to Oracle next time you see her. This face scanning protocol is next level. If Codie-boy is here, we'll find him.>>

When the fighter gets laid out he murmurs <<Easy PB...>> encouragingly.

Robbie Reyes has posed:
Robbie's so fixated on the fight playing out in the ring, that he almost misses the vibration of his phone jammed into his jeans pocket. Frowning, he tears his gaze away from the pair of fighters and their bloody brawl, digs it out, and checks his messages. The frown wavers, falters, then curves briefly into a smile. Girl with the orange hair and spiked leather jacket. He shoots her a glance, then winks if he manages to catch her eye.

After a minute, he swipes out a reply: 'Fancy meeting a girl like you in a dive like this. you following me?' Then hits send, and shoves the phone away again. This time, in his jacket pocket.

"Hey. Right here." He has to raise his voice to be heard over the clamouring crowd at the edge of the ring, but there's no missing the savagery in his eyes as he shoulders his way through; like a fox in the henhouse, he's hungry, eager. His jacket's stripped off and tossed aside, and he scales the fence cordoning off the ring with a frighteningly fluid ease. *thump* as his boots hit asphalt; and more than a few onlookers erupt in jeers. Aimed at him, mostly, though a few heckle his much bigger opponent. The guy better not lose to some scrawny Mexican.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Yep. The Worst Possible Outcome. Robbie gets picked to fight -- and so does Codie.

Codie's a bigger guy, red head, freckled. Scarred up like no one's business about his lower arms and recently got his head shaved. He hops over the barrier and strips out of his shirt, and shows a number of gang tattoos all over his arms, but on his back there is a huge piece, showing spears, swords, and dead bodies strung up on telephone lines, between utility poles.

He steps into the ring, his nose running a little as he fixates on Robbie as he grunts out an unflattering description of Robbie's mother in poor, highschool Spanish.

"Ladies and gentlemen it looks like we got our next two fighters! You have thirty seconds to place your bets -- which wiry little shit is gonna win this round?" the DJ pops up, and plays the Jeopardy tune.

PB had halted when Jason had told her to take it easy.

But now she looks like her eyes might buldge out of her head, and she slides her glasses back up her nose.

<Our guy's in the ring with Robbie Reyes. New mission -- gotta make sure no one gets killed. Osprey, you're got the overhead. Take a look to see if there's any other known Blackgaters in the audience. Looks like Codie's got new ink since the last time he was in jail. J, circle around. If Robbie gets too outta hand we've gotta distract him. He's got a Hitchhiker who likes to play rough.>

Robbie's looking lean and mean, but Phoebe shifts her weight off the pillar she was leaning against.

Inwardly, her inner monologue is litany of swear words that might even make one of the guys blush.

BUM... ba dum... da dum... bum... bum (dum dum!) the end of the Jeopardy theme comes up, and people sling cans of beer again at the cage.

    DING!

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Others were apparently aware of this fight club as well. While the watchers take their places, and the new fighters are led to the ring, a pair of women emerge from the crowd having apparently intended to step up for the fight themselves. They move in lock-step side by side, same body, same physique, same height. Even the same dark suited attire. The only difference is one has shocking white hair, and the other pure black hair.

Their faces are obscured by kabuki-esque masks with feminine lipstick painted on, and dark eyes. The white haired ones mask has red slashes beneath the eyes. The dark haired one has a fake bandaid on one cheek.

When Robbie and Codie get into the ring they both tilt their head to the side to look at one another giving a single nod in response to some unspoken thought shared between them. Then they step away, circling the ring. Yin goes one way. Yang goes the other.

Perhaps they were here to fight too? Or perhaps they were stalking prey of their own that had just gone up into the ring.

Austin Reese has posed:
<"Heads up, we've got guys that are armed. I see at least three with handguns under their jackets. Probably more." At least it doesn't look like everybody is armed, <"Multiple tangos with Blackgate tattoos. Running facial now to see if any are wanted or escapees.">

Osprey intends to go after the guys with the guns first and foremost, but if he can highlight targets for anyone else who has the AR masks, well it'll just make things easier for everybody, <"Hood, you on Reyes if things get out of hand? I'd imagine you could take him.">

Jason Todd has posed:
<<Found...>> Yeah. Everyone has now.

Seeing Yin and Yang, he frowns. <<Two players on the board. Females. Kabuki masks. Were headed toward the ring, then split to circle it.>>

He tags the targets for Osprey in kind. Then he gets elected to handle Reyes.

<<Sure. I'll introduce myself if comes to that.>>

<<PB what sort of condition do we need Codie-boy in? Are we going to let Reyes wipe the floor with him or are we going to intervene before that if needed?>>

Robbie Reyes has posed:
The guy's nose is running, and his Spanish sounds like it came from a cereal box. But the ink's impressive, Robbie's got to concede that. "Mm-mm," he chides with a slow shake of his head, eyes on Codie's. "No hables asi de mi mama cuando soy tan dulce con la tuya, gringo." He flashes carrot top a too-brilliant grin, dimples and all, then scrapes his own tee shirt off and flicks it over the fence.

Kid's not built like some of the guys in here, but he's all lean, hard muscle. And he's got plenty of his own tattoos: gang ink decorating his the knuckles of his right hand, wrist and arm, and an intricate black-and-grey tattoo of the aztec serpent-god Quetzalcoatl sprawled along his spine and ribs, and coiled around his left flank. Probably unwise to fight with those half-inch gauges in his ears, but he doesn't seem to give a shit.

Some movement out of the corner of his eye briefly grabs Robbie's attention; some girl with white hair, there and gone again. He refocuses on his opponent, and begins stalking him in a slow circle. Waiting, presumably, for the right opening to attack.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
<I see them... I know that mask ... oh this keeps getting better and better and... better. Moving to intercept Yin -- that's the black haired girl. > Phoebe mutters into the subvocal.

<We need him 'alive'. As long as we got that I can take care of the rest provided no limbs are removed BUT we gotta get him outta here adn someplace while he's alive. Preferably by Osprey, who might be able to take a hit from Robbie if his friend acts up. J.... eeeeeh... don't let him punch you in the face.> Phoebe states, and she's moving, weaving between the crowd, all orange hair and punk clothing to get up behind the Dark Haired sister and whisper 'Gabby!'

Hopefully, she can hear her over the crowd, which is going wild for two shirtless guys about to kick the shit out of one another.

... OK, and Phoebe is human, she's kind of admiring the inkwork on Robbie. Totally recording it for research purposes and cross referencing.

Meanwhile, Codie's not waiting for an opening. Whether it's because he's really ready to fight and leave Robbie a smear on the blue tarp below them or because he feels like he's got something to prove, he lunges forward and tries to make hay while the sun's shining with Robbie's FACE.

Meanwhile, the Blackgate Nine, three who are obviously armed and intended as the security for the place, have spotted the two with the kabuki masks, and are moving to get a closer look at Yang, one coming up on Yin's three-o-clock .

Austin Reese has posed:
<"Shit, our Blackgate goons are on the move."> Osprey says over comms, as he hops down off the catwalk and lands on one of the lighting racks for the ring, balancing carefully on it, the bright lights shining down helping hide his presence as he moves a bit further along the rack.

<"Looks like they're headed for your masked friends. Your other masked friends."> With all nine of the armed guys marked, he tries to get into position to intercept them if things start to go down. No way he'd leave Phoebe hanging down there.

<"They don't look too happy about their presence down there, so expect them to be hostile. They'll be on you in a few seconds.">

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Yang (white) walks along keeping her attention the ring. So it seems. She slips through the crowd apparently seeking a better spot for the fight. Robbie's half-glance her way doesn't seem to concern her at all. Nor do the oncoming Blackgate fellows as she finds a spot near the side of the ring where she pauses to cross her arms over her chest, well aware of those who were closing in. When they get close enough? She lifts a hand displaying a billfold full of cash, and tips her head toward one to speak low. "Here to play," she states simply.

Yin (black) was looking for a spot herself to settle into the crowd on the other side. At least until a familiar voice behind her causes her to halt in place, head tilting to the side. "...Ah ha." Is all that comes muffled from behind the mask as she turns to face the ring. Incidentally it puts Phoebe in her peripherial vision as well though for someone wearing a mask it might be hard to tell. "Crossing the streams?" She inquires quietly of Phoebe.

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason Todd watches this all unfold. <<It's going to get really interesting. What's the play PB? I can take out three of the Nine from this position.>> And by take out he really means taser rounds. Probably.

<<It's going to raise a fuss.>>

He holds off, waiting on Phoebe's call.

Robbie Reyes has posed:
If only Reyes could hear the conversation ping-ponging between Phoebe and her undercover boys. He's dimly aware of the fact that there are guns in play; and that white-haired girl he caught a glimpse of earlier is like an itch in his brain. He *knows* she's there, he's drawn to her like he's drawn to anything with a dark soul. But right now, he's got a match to finish, and he can't let himself get distracted.

When Codie lunges in with the attack, he doesn't attempt to evade. He simply takes it, full force to the jaw. Then counters with a vicious elbow smashed into the redhead's nose hard enough to break it. Which is a kindness, really, because even without letting Eli take over his body, he's capable of killing a normie in one hit.

Spitting blood, he circles back around again, not even bothering to raise his hands in defense as he stalks his prey like an eager jackal. "What the fuck was that? C'mon, hit me like you fuckin' mean it." He slaps his chest a couple of times for emphasis.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
<I can take out two and grab Codie. I have a grapple in my purse. If it starts looking like even more of a shitshow then what we have, we should smoke and split. I need Red Robin to make me glasses that respond like a domino. I'm beginning to miss having a HUD. How'd you guys do this without one?> Phoebe questions, and she breathes out. She didn't like being in charge of tasks. Isn't that what Tim was for?

But she comes up behind Yin and leans against a barrier.

"We're picking up the redhead for The Boss, you know, local business." she states simply.

You can't stop here, Gabby. This is Bat Country.

She physically winces when Robbie smashes Codie's nose though, adn she looks down to her left wrist, minding her very much closed aura.

Eli can probably sense that she got closer. That healing and light doesn't hide well from those who are deep in the dark at close quarters.

Codie cries out, blood spurting to the tarp on the floor. People cheer, more beers are thrown and empty cans and bottles, vape pens, what not, thrown through the opening in the octagon.

"I'll show you you son of a bitch!" the redhead snarls, and he charges Robbie, looking to dig his meaty hands against Robbie's throat and try to throttle the smaller guy. ONe of his eyes is twitching.

Two of the three armed Blackgates are behind Yang. One takes the billfold from the white-haired woman, checks it over, and then returns it.

"Place your bet. The Redhead or the Runt."

One is coming up to Gabby's side.

Three are getting suspicious, and are beginning to talk on headsets. There's a lot of movement and cash being thrown around now.

One of the guys with the Black Castle tattoo on his neck comes up beside Gabby and he snorts and spits to the side.

"Seen better fights in middle school." he snorts.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Runt." The response is instant from Yang as she watches the match. "And if he wins I want to talk to him." Really, she didn't care about Reyes. The other one though... That was different. For now though it suits her well enough to watch, to wait.

At least until the fight continues a bit more.

Yin is just standing with Phoebe making a little noise in the back of her throat. "He's got a bounty." Is all she says quietly to Phoebe likely to explain why SHE was there. Then she falls quiet, watching. Her attention wasn't on the fight though--It was on the woman on the other side of the ring at this point. When the second guard comes up close enough to mention about the fight she just shrugs a bit and responds, "I can do better."

Austin Reese has posed:
<"Moving into position to engage."> Comes Osprey's voice over the comms, as he slips to the edge of the lighting rig, and preps some flash and smoke bombs. He assumes that when the shit hits the inevitable fan, most will scatter.

Some will want to fight back, other than the armed guys. In a crowd like this there's always someone who is willing to try their luck.

<"In position. I'll go on your signal."

Robbie Reyes has posed:
Son of a *bitch*? Now *them's* fightin' words. Robbie's mama ain't no bitch, thank you very much.

He has a fraction of a second to register the sensation of Phoebe's magic -- like getting caught out in the snow on a too-bright day, don't look, don't look, or it'll sear your retinas to ribbons -- before Codie comes crashing into him. Hands around his throat, the two of them hit the fence and there's a quick exchange of blows, blood spattering the asphalt and the nearby onlookers. Robbie pulling his punches like the predator he is, playing with his food.

And then Codie takes him down, and the noise from the crowd becomes deafening as it becomes apparent that the big redhead is going to break the scrawny Mexican kid in half.

Except that Robbie manages to maneuver himself on top through some combination of strength and determination, and grasps a handful of Codie's hair in one hand before slamming it into the ground with a sickening crunch. And again. And again. And again--

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason Todd remains in position. He aims at the three of the Nine he has the best angle on. He tags them with his optics linked to his rifle. Then he turns his gaze back to the fight and then to Phoebe's location. He taps his helmet and brings up a small PIP window that tracks the cage fight while he monitors Phoebe's interactions and the progress of the other members of the Nine nearing her.

<<Holding.>>

But he doesn't want to.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe is sure Robbie's mama is a very nice lady. She's also sure that grating bit against her aura was not Robbie. She has to make a judgement call, and as she side-eyes Gabby, the expression her eyes make is apologetic.

This was going tobe a mess, and she's sure Batman was going to express how very disappointed he is in her, but right now she had to save a life.

<Go go go! Popping smoke. We have bounty hunters and Blackgaters and this just got Hot and Supernatural!> Phoebe states into her subvocal com to J and Osprey, and with apologies to Gabby, the smoke that Phoebe cracks from her purse and tosses between herself and the clawed sister-in-arms REEKS and BURNS. Pepper spoke!

    But that's not all folks.
Virtutem meam solve et ante omnia lux! Phoebe's voice rings out.

THe seal around her left wrist brilliantly lights the area, illuminating the smoke, shining off the particles of it that anyone who doesn't have an adjusting visor might get a face full of MAGICAL LIGHT POWAH!

-- which also has an effect of suddenly flooding the fight club not only with Phoebe's Light, but also the healing aura.

    SORRY ELI.

All hell brakes loose. The previous prize fighter's feeling pretty good until he gets an elbow to the head. There's a bit of a stampeed going on as people try to leave the arena via the main exit. Some of them are opting to go further into the Old City. That has its own dangers.

Phoebe, right at this moment, though, is concerned with three people:

Gabby stabbing her (which would suck)

Gabby's sister stabbing her (which would suck more)

... and Eli taking his aggression out on her (WHICH WOULD REALLY SUCK).

Jason Todd has posed:
The moment it goes sideways, that he can see Phoebe is taking action, Red Hood fires his rifle. The three smart rounds streak out one after the other and arc in wild paths to strike the tagged targets. Each member of the Nine hit begin to twitch and spasm as the rounds unleash their taser payload, taking them out of play.

Even as he fires the burst, he is swinging the weapon down toward .. Robbie? He's the one causing injury to insult with poor Codie who Jason has been tasked with bringing in alive. A double tap sends two taser rounds toward Robbie, who he hasn't met or doesn't recognize, but who he intends to make stop the beat down of Codie.

Austin Reese has posed:
Welp that's the signal. Austin releases his smoke grenades and flash grenades into the area where the trio of Blackgate goons he had specifically targeted were at. Osprey is quick to follow the grenades down to the ground, aiming to land atop the first of the goons, one of the guys with the guns, because he'll be easier to bring down than one of the brusiers.

The problem is that leaves the brusier standing, and he's not happy about having been flashbanged and hit with smoke, as he rushes at Osprey and swings a massive haymaker at him. Osprey is quick to block with both of his forearms, before swinging a kick towards the inside of brusier's knee. trying to take out his base and then incapacitate him after bringing him down.

"<I'll clear us a path to the exit, you grab our guy!">

Gabby Kinney has posed:
There's no response of the stabbing variety from Yin even as that peppered smoke bomb goes down. Gabby does double over a moment with a small cry as the smell overwhelms her, at leaest until she can turn away from it. The Blackgate guy gets elbowed roughly, purposefuly, in a sensitive spot as she turns toward him to quickly divest him of his gun. Phoebe is safe though: She's not moving to interfere with Phoebe at all. At this point she's just moving to knock out the pair of guards that had closed in on her and evac from that peppered smoke.

Her paler counterpart however didn't have the same issues at all. As the smoke goes up her hand snaps back to punch one of the men in the face hard enough to break his nose. Before he can react she's dropped her hand down to yank the wad of cash from his hands, and she whirls toward the other to drive her knee into his solar plexus.

It's enough of a distraction that she can escape them. Rather than run she goes for the ring itself aiming for the shorter fenced section to leap at it in a quick flip over.

Just in time for the dark haired one to realize how BAD this is going.

The mask is torn off in one quick swipe revealing a frazzled Gabby to full view as she yells out, "86!"

The white haired one snaps a look over in that direction... but continues on headed right for the downed redhead Robbie had been abusing so roughly.

Robbie Reyes has posed:
Things seem to happen in slow motion for a moment there, after Phoebe breaks the seal on her magic with.. whatever the hell that is. Latin? Look, Robbie dropped out of high school, okay?

He realises what's about to happen a microsecond before it does, and turns mid-strike to seek the girl out across the clamouring crowd. Knuckles smeared in blood, and more of it spattering his cheek and throat, and she can *see* his eyes ignite. The left explodes in ash, hollowed out instantly, and he roars as he struggles to contain it, reverse it, *stop* it.

And then the Light slams into him like a concussive force. Instead of mending his rapidly-healing injuries, it knocks him back and he topples off his opponent and hits the ground. Where he's immediately hit with a pair of taser darts.

They aren't going to hold him for long, but they *do* stun him fairly effectively, demon possessed or no; he convulses violently on the ground while mayhem ensues around him, his left eye still a cratered mess.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
THis has completely Gone To Shit.

Phoebe is still generating LIght, living up to the last name Beacon as she hisses out a breath. She didn't want to hurt Robbie, but Eli's kinda making her mad.

    She does, however, move.

Because not only is she pinning Robbie down, but her power is healing every normal person in the area.

Including Codie, who will be fighting fresh momentarily.

Austin and Jason clear the path, and people are running. Yin and Yang made like a cover band and Beat It; and Phoebe jumps into the circle, reaches and grabs Codie and, with an apologetic look to the ashy, glowing eyes on Robbie, she closes her eyes, holds Codie close, and SHOVES him over the four foot wall, rolling over it herself, and somehow manages to bodily lift him and drag him as far as she can out the door, relying on Osprey or Jason to rendezvous because FUCK is this guy heavy.

But she wasn't going to let Batman and Alfred hear her cursing all the way up the walkway as she drags Codie away from Robbie!

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason Todd fires off a further series of taser rounds at the other members of the Nine he can see. <<Egress, PB.>>

As she gets Codie out of the ring and follows herself, Jason disengages the carbine mode, the pistols separating. He holdsters one and clips on to a decel line.

<I'm coming to you.>>

He drops ten feet from Phoebe as the decel line disengages and retracts. He is already walking toward Phoebe and Codie. Without hesitation, he drops with his knee in the guy's spine and jerks both hands behind and zipties them. Hefting Codie over his left shoulder, Red Hood rises, pistol in hand.

<<Time to go. Now.>>

He begins to fire at stragglers of the Nine while keeping a half an eye on that PIP window inside his helmet still trained on the fighting ring - and Robbie. Because that is going to be a bad thing shortly when whatever his issue fully comes about.

Austin Reese has posed:
Osprey delivers a running, leaping knee to one of the Nine, riding the guy all the way back down to the ground, and rolling off of him. At least that just opens up the path that Red Hood and Balm can use to get the guy out of here.

Also thinking fast, Osprey pushes the guy he just kneed in the face off to the side, in order to get him out of Balm's radius. Should keep him from getting back up and causing more trouble before they're out of here, <"Path's clear, lets roll out!">
