Date of Scene: 26 November 2022
Location: The Public House - Hellfire Club
Synopsis: A group of scary magic women catchup at the Hellfire Club.
Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Satana Hellstrom, Ariah Olivie, Lydia Dietrich, Blake Riviere

Emma Frost has posed:
It's a quiet eve over in the Hellfire Club. The lessers are out and about shopping for the event called 'Black Friday'. Emma Frost is enjoying the relative quiet over of one of the eating areas. She's sitting at a seat with a large goblet of wine in front of her, idly skimming a menu

Satana Hellstrom has posed:
Satana doesn't indulge in sales. At least not for physical items. So, the Hellfire Club sounds like a wonderful way to spend the evening. In a black silk dress and matching heels, she comes into the Hellfire Club, heading over to take a seat. She spots Emma partway through, and gives her a smile. "Good evening, Ms. Frost."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance at Satana, "Why, Ms. Hellstrom. It has been awhile. I hope that you've gotten yourself some good sncaks since we last met. Did you enjoy Halloween? Or do you find such things rather banal? And is today not a good day for your pasttime?"

Ariah Olivie has posed:
And three's company. Ariah herself doesn't indulge much either, and the small woman herself is, at the moment, perhaps a 'provisional' member of the Club and not a full one. She's wrapped in a lovely blood red-and-black ensemble of a dress, making her way inside of the establishment. It's one of the few places she can get a proper 'drink', though the public area not quite as easily. Still, she looks around for familiar faces and finds it surpsisingly... bereft of life.

So all four-foot-ten and shock of short white hair simply... advances. And meanders her way towards the pair of conversing women.

Satana Hellstrom has posed:
"Oh, there's always "snacks". It's the gourmet dishes that are harder to come by. And that much more interesting. Halloween can be interesting, but today is less than interesting. Everyone is looking for "deals". And I am not a lowest-cost type of lady. Much like yourself." Satana replies to Emma.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would mm, "Of course. I take it that a day like today has too much.. Fast food going about to make it particularly fun to go after?" Because if any day was going to bring out all those soulless things it would be Black Friday. She would turn over to the advancing Ariah, gesturing with a hand. "Hello tehre, do feel free to join us." If you dare..

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
It's rare that Lydia visits the Hellfire Club these days. She's a legacy member, since all of the money belonged to her. parrents and her novels are able to pay for rent and not much else. Still, she's decided that she should come back and try to make some connections, if nothing else to add to her growing harem (not really a harem. It's just what she calls the network of people she's assembled that she can regularly feed upon).

Of course, when you go to the HFC, you have to dress for the occasion. She's in a black lacy thing that gives off old money goth vibes, and only accentuates her pale skin and ruby red lips. When you walk into the lion's den, you might as well advertise that you're just as dangerous. As always, she surrounded by a field of twinkling stars, that wink in and out of existence around her.

She finds that the place is mostly empty, save for a few people gathered around a table of food, most of whom she recognizes. "Ms. Frost," she greets politely. "Ariah. It's a pleasure to see you again." She turns to greet Satana. "A pleasure to meet you, as well, though I must admit that I don't know your name." She extends a plale hand to the ewoman. "Lydia Dietrich."

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Of course Ariah ~dares~. She's small of stature but not of spirit. Even if she's almost a full foot shorter than Satana, let alone Emma. "It would be pleasant to do so. Bonsoir, mademoiselles," she says quietly. "..the city is... too loud today... I wished to be away from home but not in the crowds..." she shakes her head slowly. Then someone a little bit closer to her own height enters, and she turns her head to focus her attention on Lydia.

A polite bow is given, "It is good to see you again. I was able to connect with some of your acquaintances. I hope you have kept well since we last met?" Ever so polite. Cold. Calm. But polite. "This is a pleasant place, non?"

Satana Hellstrom has posed:
Satana looks over to Emma. "Generally." And then she spots Ariah. She looks to Emma, and smiles faintly. "I don't remember there being any actual rules against looking for a snack in the Club, is there?" And then she sees Lydia. "I see the members are still managing to keep up the fashion guidelines.

She smiles and looks to Ariah as she approaches. "Well, we certainly seem to have some quiet and solitude, at least for the right people. Care to join us?" she offers.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance over her shoulder, "Oh, no, there are no rules.. But it's generally considered rude to make a mess. At least, that's what I've been told numerous times. At least if one isn't a high ranking member and it's someone no one cares about." As the type that Emma used to be. She's had this lecture from Shaw a few times no matter what happened with Selene. Showing how far perhaps she's fallen over.

"Do feel free ot join us. And.. A pleasure to see you again Lydia. In passing, at least." She remembers the other woman just for what happened over with Raven. That the blue woman hadn't done.. 'Something'.. Over whatever the resulsts was spoke in her favor.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
"Good, good," Lydia says, giving Ariah a smile. "It is! I have a lot of.... memories of this place. Mostly me being dressed up in stiff dresses and being bored while all the adults talked shop. As for me, I've been keeping busy. My latest book is entering the last round of editing (I hope) and hopefully will be out for print by the end of the year." She browses the food and decides, rather, to pour herself a flute of red wine. In the Hellfire Club, there is *always* a flute of red wine to be had at hand.

She shoots Satana a playful grin. "Thank you. It /is/ Black Friday after all. I thought I'd dress appropriately. I'm sorry. I didn't catch your name?"

She turns her grin on Emma. "The pleasure is all mine. I hope you're fairing well this holiday season."

Ariah Olivie has posed:
"You will have to remind me when it comes out. I am fond of books. Though if you have been writing for some time, I will have to start from the beginning, non?" Ariah asks, tilting her head at Lydia. She, too, orders some wine. More of a dessert wine, though. Something sweet and chilled for the cold little lady. "Merci, for the invitation," she says politely, nodding to Emma and Satana.

"I have not been here in a few weeks. So much to do, so much to read," she says absently, taking her time and then taking a seat. She sweeps her hands under her bottom and ensures she's sitting just right atop her crimson skirt. "I am Ariah," she volunteers her name for the two she has yet to meet, nodding slowly.

Satana Hellstrom has posed:
"Satana Hellstrom." The princess of Hell replies to Lydia, looking a bit amused. "Black is ALWAYS in style. Even more so here at the Club." She smiles. "Please, join us." She looks to Emma. "You don't mind, no?" She looks back to Ariah. "A charming name." She's very much starting to put on her charm in Ariah's direction, putting on a winning smile.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shake her head, "No. Please do tell me about your friend." This would be spoken to Lydia, about Ariah. "Your family's been part of the Club for quite awhile." Anyone that has a lot of money and has had it for a couple of generations eventually gets in no matter what. There's too much going on to want to stay away.
"So what draws you back here then?" She would inquite to Lydia, while Emma would continue on. "I'm well. My business is doing quite well over the holidays. I barely have to market for it. The lovely American consumer, spending all thier income on holiday cheer for my profit margin."

Blake Riviere has posed:
A quiet 'night' at the Hellfire club can be quite a bit more exciting than some other places at the best of times, but then again even with her own legacy (to herself mind thanks to some creative 'reinventing' over the years) and her duties to the inner circle Blake had been absent for a time.

Now, with her thair down and her form wrapped in an elegant black backless gown, the raven haired woman arrived with a little smile to her lips at the sight of some familier faces.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
"A pleasure," Lydia says to Satana. "I didn't use to wear so much black, but last October I found myself coming down with a medical condition that keeps me so pale and... adverse to sunlight. Since then I discovered that black seems to be more my color than anything else."

"The pleasure of your company," Lydia tells Emma smoothly. "I've found myself networking recently, and what better place to network than here? It's good to know people who you might be able to trade a favor for a favor." She chuckles, "That and it's either hide at home or here to avoid the madness that is Black Friday."

Her sensitive ears pick up the sound of Blake approaching, and the woman's scent touches her just as sensative nose. Turning around she finds herself staring at the OG vampire herself, Blake Riviere. "Blake!" she cries out, delighted. "I haven't seen you in forever! I've been meaning to catch up with you, but ... my life has turned into a whirlwind of adventure." Indeed, Lydia has changed muchly over the past year or so since they met. She's deathly pale, for one, for the other Blake's heightened senses would be able to detect that she has no heartbeat. Oh, and her everpresent green glow has changed into a starfield of twinkling lights that surround her now.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Ariah will have to remember to ask Lydia about the books again later, as she does tend to be one that devours literature. Her head nods politely to Satana, "Merci. I have been told it is supposed to mean 'lion' or something akin to such?" she hazards, well read but not exactly well versed in the origins of her name. Such a small, soft spoken girl with such a fierce name! "Still, a pleasure, and I would be happy to keep your company this evening. All of you."

The sound of Blake's entry and Lydia's exclamation, however, has her turning her head. The expressionless look on the woman's face turns into one that has, at least, a ghost of a smile. "Mon amour," she says quietly in greeting to the raven-haired woman, dressed so elegantly. Though Lydia's reaction to her arrival does present a small look of puzzlement. She cannot recall if they had spoken of Blake during their first meeting. "Friendly faces about, non?"

Emma Frost has posed:
As Satana goes to depart and fade into the background, Emma Frost goes to smile at Lydia, "But of course. If one can't appreciate existence for what it is, then what else can they ever want for? Life gives you opportunities, they're wasted if not taken." She would glance over at Blake for a moment. "I think we've met before. I do hope that last month gave you a few things to snack on. Or is it a bit blatant to be an enjoyable season for you?"
Emma would idly snark over at the newly arriving woman that would be joining them.

Blake Riviere has posed:
They had actually met once, once only, since Lydia had joined the...extended family, but still it had been so brief that one had barely had the time to take it in. Blake's painted lips pull into a smile, the glowy stars was certainly a newer thing after all and she leans forwards. "Ah Lydia, my favorite novellist, it's been too long!"

She'd say more, but Ariah's arrival brings a little smile and she moves in, making to plant a little kiss of greeting on Ariah's cheek. "Mon Chaton, it is wonderful you are here..."

Onwards to the others, there was no missing Emma, a little chuckle coming from the elder vampiress. "Oh yes Ms Frost, I've not been without a little entertainment for myself of late."

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
A light bit of laughter escapes Lydia. "Of course. Life has given me plenty of opportunities. Best to savor them." Oh the double-entendre. "It's been a busy year. First the invasion of the Host and then..." she expression turns momentarily dour, hinting at darker things, "Well. Let's just say that it hasn't all been pleasant. Mistakes were made, lessons learned, and I've come out stronger in the end." She takes a breath and lets it out in a little sigh. "Still. This year's end has turned out to be relatively pleasant and quiet."

Ariah Olivie has posed:
For all of her composure, Ariah can't help but... melt when she's kissed like that. Her expression goes from stone to a soft little exhaled sigh, eyes fluttering closed for a moment. "I am so very glad to see you," she states, lacing her fingers with Blake's and pressing their palms together. It may be brief, but it's savored. Then those mismatched eyes open and she's back to her normal public face.

"The three of you know each other, then?" she asks, though the way she says 'know' makes it sound as if she were referring to their more.. secret attributes. Such as their dietary needs. "It would seem a great many interesting and pleasant sorts are present here."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shrug, "In passing." She would gesture at LYdia, "She's a member of the club.." Which at least is at best a 'passing' thing for Emma. "I've run into her.." A nod is given over at Ariah. "You seem to have a greater familiarity with one another." She would qiup over at Ariah and Blake.
"Well, I'm glad that you've made it a profitable sort of occasion for yourselves. This time of year does lend itself to that.."

Blake Riviere has posed:
"It hasn't been boring," Blake muses, the raven-haired vampiress tilting her head to the side and crossing her arms under her bust. As for the mention of their knowing each other, she nods in agreement before chuckling. "Much like this place. One always likes a little variety."

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia's eyes glitter in delight at Ariah's obvious adoration of Blake. She can't help herself. She's a romance novelist and she always gets this way when she encounters the kinds of things she writes in her books in real life. She shakes herself out of it when Ariah asks her question. "Yes. I've met Ms. Frost on several occasions, especially when I was aligned with the Brotherhood." Alighted. That's one way to put it. "I met Blake here, sometime early the year before, and she piqued my interest, so I asked to see if I could interview her for inspiration of my next book." She gives the vampire in quesiton a sunny smile, "She was kind enough to grant that interview. She has /quite/ an interesting history."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would chuckle, "Yes, this place has a way of gathering thsoe from different walks of life together." She would glance over at Lydia for a moment. "We were both engaged in some charity work over for the Genoshan Embassy and for Bushwick." Emma notes dryly while sending Lydia a telepathic message <<That's not generlaly known about me, nor my associations>> A light reproach but a calm one.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Ariah seems to have no idea what the Brotherhood is. The mention of it seems to just go over her head, and it's not difficult with her being so short. She does notice Lydia's reaction to her light fawning over Blake, though, and blinks at her slowly. Then she takes a moment to release Blake's hands and smooth over her dress some. "Does that mean I am free to make certain drink orders with present company?" she asks, taking much care to not spill the cat, just in case, as she looks up to Blake expectantly.

Blake Riviere has posed:
Given her role in intelligence gathering of late as the Black Squire, did Blake know about Emma's past...well, if she didn't, she did now. Still, there was a quirk of her lips and Blake seems to let that tidbit pass by as she nods her approval to Ariah and smiles. "Ask for my usual, if you would? They will attend to us."

Seems her own nature had been somewhat outed, at least to the circle.

"And Lydia, you were charming company of course. I quite enjoyied our chats and what you made from them."

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
<<Apologies for being so carelss,>> Lydia thinks back to the telepath. "Indeed. Bushwick still needs a lot of help, and while my golem has made the streets a bit safer to roam, there's always more to do." She turns her attention to Ariah and gives her a smile, raising her glass. "I'll stick to wine for now." Strange. She's yet to take a sip of it.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would just smile faintly, covering it as something for Ariah, "Yes, yes it does." She would reply over to the comments from Lydia, "And we all can stand to chip in. I believe that Roberto D'Costa is working at some large fundraising for there that's ag ood venue." She would smile over at Blake then and flash her teeth.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Ariah nods at Blake and takes a moment to go put the order in. Two of Blake's usuals. One for her, and one for the taller vampiress. She does return without tarrying, though, and situates herself again at Blake's side. "I have visited Bushwick. It is. Still much in need of repair, among other things. But I am somewhat selfish, and focus my time on other arts. Masonry and diplomacy are not among my skills," she says simply.

Blake Riviere has posed:
A little breath, Ariah's return with the glass earns a bright smile and a nod of thanks before she raises her drink to her lips with a small sigh at the taste. Not quite as good as 'from the source' could be, but certainly something. "Truely? Perhaps I will go see for myself. I have been out of the country for a brief time."

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia nods at Emma. "I'll have to catch up with him sometime soon, to see how I can help out." She lets out a small sigh, "I may have taken on a few more identities than 'mutant', but regardless of what else I have become, I was always a mutant first and foremost." She turns to Ariah, "There are more ways to help out. Hope House is always looking for volunteers, as well as the the other shelters. Sometimes all it takes is a little kindness."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Yes, he should be simple enough to catch up with. He's rather easy to catch the attention of, much int he same ways as Mister Stark. I'm sure that you'll do quite fine over with it. And how fares things in Genosha if you still go by that island?"

Ariah Olivie has posed:
A glass for Blake, and a glass for Ariah. Not that it looks much different than red wine, truly. She takes a long, slow drink herself and ends up standing just short of physically leaning on Blake. It would seem the smaller woman is quite attached to the raven-haired beauty. Then she tilts her head slowly at Lydia, before shaking her head.

"Non, I have other... talents... that are better suited for some things than others. I have helped, here and there. Just. In my own way." That is to say, visiting ruin upon gangs picking on mutants and metas, among other things.

Blake Riviere has posed:
Another sip for Blake, the dark-haired vampiress gives a smile, looking between the others before exhaling a breath. "Unfortunately, other tasks call to me," she speaks in her accented tones. "I must continue, but I hope to find you all again soon. Lydia, perhaps we should catch up to speak as we used to. It sounds as if it is time you told me -your- story."

Emma gest a nod as topics switch, but it's to Ariah that she turns to gently place a hand to the other woman's cheek. "I will see you later Mon Chaton, you know were to find me, non?"

With that, she was headed for the door.

Lydia Dietrich has posed:
Lydia can't hide the wince when Emma asks about Genosha. "I... no longer have the means to regularly go to Genosha. . That and I fear I may have fallen out of the Queens favor." That's to put it mildly. Ariah gets a nod. "Of course. We all have many talents." Blake gets a nod. "Of course. My story isn't nearly as pleasant as what it once was, but I'll be more than happy to share it with you. "

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod over, "I understand and I'm soryr." She wouldn't ask any further on the matter. "We all have our own specialties and things we work with." She would muse over as her phone would ring. "Forgive me ladies, but business calls."

Ariah Olivie has posed:
"Ah, I will depart with you," Ariah speaks up, finishing her own glass. She adjusts herself as she turns, bowing her head politely to both Emma and Lydia. "Mademoiselles. A pleasure to meet you," she nods to Emma, and then, to Lydia: "And pleasant to see you once more." Then the little witch falls into step at Blake's side, departing with the vampiress she would regard as far more stunning than herself.
