Date of Scene: 11 March 2023
Location: Cindy's Pad
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Cindy Moon, Molly Hayes, Divine

Cindy Moon has posed:
Cindy has spent the rest of the day vegging out on the couch. Upon returning home from getting Molly to school she changed into proper lounge gear and curled up infront of the tv to watch some day time television. This is a Divine habit she has picked up. She doesn't even enjoy it! Seriously, she is not watching these bitch fights with muted anticipation of seeing them broken up.

She flips the channel to Real Housewives of Gotham.

"Oh this'll be rich." She murmurs to herself, curling up with her squirtle pillow, cheek all puffy on the side of the super puffy pillow. Suffice that it is a Friday afternoon/night and she's sent out a couple texts to say 'hey I bought groceries and would like to do cooking'.

"Oh no he didn't just say she's crazy as Punchline... oh this is gonna get good..." She's drawn into the drama.

Molly Hayes has posed:
The group text gets a reply from Molly. "I'm in! Breakfast was totes amazing!" Ramen emoji. Egg emoji. Heart emoji x 6 to form a rainbow. Bunny emoji. "Will bring change of clothes this time!" she then adds, just in case. She does her school stuff, her home stuff, and finally, as evening rolls around, so does Molly!

"Yooooouuuu would not believe traffic!" she thunks her head on the door instead of knocking. "I jogged here faster than the bus could go!" sounds out her voice outside. She can't really come in through the window. Thunk. Thunk.

Divine has posed:
Molly can't come in through the window, but Divine can. Moments after Molly's head thunks on the door, the Kryptonian taps on the window to be let in.

It's apparently a party at Cindy's house!

Cindy Moon has posed:
Both door and window are unlocked, but nobody knows that unless Cindy tells them! With Molly knocking, with her forehead, against the door and the pretty face of Divine appearing in the window.. Cindy pops up from the couch with a big grin that her gals are here. "They're open!" She shouts, heading over to the window to fling it open for Divine so she doesn't have to try and manipulate it herself.

"Heeeeey..." She says to the Kryptonian. "I hope you both brought your hunger." She crosses the small apartment to open the door for Molly, grinning brightly. "Because I made Shepards pie. I looked the recipe up online because you're both super white and it's a white people food."

Molly Hayes has posed:
"Oh, sweet, thanks," Molly says from behind the closed door and then opens it proper. There she is. Same outfit Cindy had dropped her off at school in! Even with the backpack! She's got a bag in her hands, though, too! "Wow. I. Don't know how to feel about that," she squints at Cindy, scrunching up her nose. "Isn't that like, a pot pie but made with mashed potatoes or something? Or like... hamburger and veggies under potatoes? Like a casserole thing?"

Then she shrugs, holding out the bag. "Totes sounds tasty if that's it though! Also! I got the last Bear Force One at the ice cream shop! They always discount the old flavors of the week cuz new stuff comes in on Saturday, so I got a super great deal on dessert!"

Divine has posed:
Divine slips into the open window, being very careful not to break anything. She touches down in the familiar environs, and smiles as Molly is here too. "Well, thank you for enviting me," the Kryptonian says. She's dressed comfortably. Leggings, her hoodie and ... are those -sneakers-? They are, and she slips them off before she touches down.

She crosses the room and just scoops Molly up in a hug, giving her a mighty squeeze before setting her down.

Cindy's next. With the same treatment.

She does blink. "What's a shepard? .... What's a white person?"

Cindy Moon has posed:
Cindy accepts her lifting hug with a gleeful squeel, and returns it with all the enthusiasm she can must. Which is actually quite a lot. Including a kiss to the top of Divine's head. "You're always invited, you know that." Winking up at the Kryptonian, as she passes over to give Molly a big ol Spidery hug. Everyone in the club getting huggy.

"Yes!" She says to Molly's explaination of Shepards pie. "Mashed potatos, onions, hamburger, and lots of cheese..." She points at the oven with a snap. "Almost done. It'll be great.. or at least edible."

"A joke." What are white people. "As in, I was joking, not that white people are a joke. It's a British dish.. And it's actually pretty dang awesome."

Cindy is in leggings, a long t-shirt, and has her hair pulled back in a ponytail.

Molly Hayes has posed:
And by Molly wearing what she was taken to school in... it's borrowed shorts and leggings. Borrowed from Cindy. And a Wolverine shirt that's hers. And a bunny hat. Black with pink and white details! She emits a happy squeaky noise when she's picked up and hugged, the bag of ice cream pints shaking in her grasp. "EeeeeEEEEeeee! Divy!" she squeals and laughs, hugging back. And then down she goes.

And then she's hugged! AgaiN! She wriggles against Cindy, and hugs her back too! "Ah! Gosh! We're here!" she laughs some more, and holds out the ice cream. "This should go in the freezer! Cindy! Have you had Bear Force One ice cream? It's my new favorite! Which... means we won't see it again for like another six months."

Divine has posed:
"Oh, they had Bear Force One? Neat," she says, plopping on the sofa. She's still confused. She doesn't know what a shepard is, or what Cindy meant by white people, but she'll figure that out later. For now, she just kind of basks in the gentle domesticity of it. It's nice. A change of pace, really.

Plus, no Red Sun Guns here.

She leans back on the sofa, staring at the TV. "Did...did I cause this?" She asks, realizing what's on television.

Cindy Moon has posed:
"So it's an ice cream endangered species." Cindy says after releasing Molly. The bag of ice cream is taken in both hands, delicately, even if she does so playfully, and taken to the freezer. "Alright, so we have dinner and dessert! Which could be on some registery somewhere so we should definitely enjoy it."

Cindy jumps over the couch and links herself to Divine's arm. Wrapping hers around it as she looks at the television, "... it's addictive..." She murmurs of her watching daytime television. She peers up at her with a little, very playful, frown. "How are you?" The serious change of her tone is sudden.

Molly Hayes has posed:
"They did! I got, like... four pints!" Molly holds the bag up like a trophy. "Woooo!" She snuggles both women real quick then relinquishes it to Cindy. "I mean. It's... it's like. Teddy bear graham crackers... and... cinnamony-chocolate ice cream.... and... and stripes of marshmallow, for like... clouds!" She takes off her shoes and flops on the couch to sit with the other two. "...oh man I forgot to get lunch today, cuz your ramen was soooooo good!" she gushes to Cindy.

Then she blinks at the sudden tonal shift in Cindy, "Oh... yeah... Divy. You recover ok?"

Divine has posed:
The affection in the room is almost tangible as she is joined first by Cindy and then Molly. She lets it wash over her, letting it rinse away unimportant things to leave her with ... Joy.

"I'm fine. Back to my old self. ... Well, not my old-old self, that me was a mean old bitch," she says with a grin. "My strength's back. Like it never happened. And it won't happen again."

Cindy Moon has posed:
Cindy preens on Divine, lips resting against the Kryptonian's shoulder staring up at her waiting for assurance that she's fine. Even once it's been given, she turns and rubs her cheek against her arm. "It definitely wont happen again, of that we have decided. IF someone hurts you, they're in for a world of hurt." Between herself and Molly?

Good luck.

She kisses Divine's arm and flickers her fingers across her chest at Molly. Laying a hand on her cheek. "Seriously, I'm pretty deep into the vengence arc of my storyline if they fuck with you..." Said up to Divine, but she glances over at Molly too. Nobody better mess with that smallest of them either.

She puts on her very unintimiating grrr face to threaten off these imaginary assaillants.

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly slumps in the seat and leans on Divine, peering up at her with those big brown eyes, sad and worried. "...y'sure? Like... big evil organizations that make clones and are super evil have a lot of resources an' stuff! Even, like, the whole... uh... Pride thing... with... the parents 'n the other parents 'n the evil aliens was small stuff an' they had a lot of resources... these guys after you..." she shakes her head.

"We'll keep a lookout for 'em! All three of us can kick a booty but together we're super unstoppable!" she says and nuzzles gently at Cindy's hand--and Divine's chest. "...seriously can we just find their stupid sewer hole and kick 'em in the jimjams?"

Divine has posed:
"I wish it was that easy, Molly. If we could find them, I'd say absolutely. Gather friends and go handle this mess, but..." Divine sighs, cuddling with her girls on the couch and trying to find her words, which is sometimes still difficult.

"Emma hired some people to look into it, but they found nothing. No traces." She frowns, tilting her head. "I mean, honestly, I kinda -do- hope they come after me again," she says, gaze flickering between the two. "Next time they do, one of us should grab one of them and bolt."

Cindy Moon has posed:
Cindy doesn't like the idea of using Divine as a bait to capture one of these guys, even if she can appreciate the situation being necessary. Since she's their primary target... still, her expression bleeds with discontent at the whole process, shaking her head with her lips still pressing against Divine's arm.

Her hand turns over to sit against the side of Molly's cheek, but she remains silence since her contribution is one born of growing anger... Which is a good thing that that the oven dings. She pops up and kisses both ladies heads and goes over to the ktichen to serve of a trio of plates, which she carries over with relative ease.

"Pretend like you like it, even if you don't. I'm kidding... I'm kidding."

Anything to keep from thinking about the possibility of Divine being in danger... Humor? She'll absolutely use it to distract herself.

Molly Hayes has posed:
"A-aww... so.. so I break a leg again an' Silky grabs one in her webbing?" she reaches over Divine to hug both girls at once. She nuzzles some more, then watches over as Cindy does her best to distract herself. It's not a feeling she likes, though. She's seen parents with that cold anger. It makes her shrink in on herself some.

"...it... it..." she struggles to change the subject, then takes a long breath again as the food gets closer. "...it really smells good... should we have some, like, hot cocoa or something to go with it all?" she asks, fidgeting on the couch some.

Divine has posed:
Divine is pretty good at reading people. Being able to hear heart rates helps a lot. This is different, she can feel Cindy's anger like a physical thing. She understands it, she'd feel the same way if there were some sort of Spider Problem trying to take her away. Divine's weakness is arrogance. Supreme self confidence. She's literally not afraid of any physical threat. Even ones that can and will hurt her. She just...believes.

She glances at Molly, her body language breaking her heart a little. What a hard life she's had. All of them have, really, in their own ways. She leans over and kisses Molly on the forehead, getting off the couch to go after Cindy. She comes up behind her, and laces her arms around her waist, heedless of the hot food on plates. "Cindy," she says quietly. "I know you don't like the thought. I'm not too fond of it either, but facts are facts. They'll be back, because these kinds of whackos don't give up. We may as well use it to our advantage. I'm not going to make myself bait any more than I already am." She kisses her on the head before letting go, returning to the sofa for unnecessary, but tasty smelling food.

Cindy Moon has posed:
Cindy isn't trying to be the dark cloud in the room, but she is, arguably, the most violent. Which is ironic given how strong the other two women are... She's been trained to respond to this kind of threat with permmanent, unquestionable, solutions. There's a threat out there that wants to take her too and her 'mentor' made certain she was aware and equipped to do what she had to do to end that concern.

But she's trying.

She doesn't want to bring down the mood. Seeing Molly turn inward breaks her heart... and seeing Divine come up to comfort /her/ with everything going on seems selfish.

She turns in the Kryptonian's arms and leans her forehead against her chest. Arms wrapped around her tight. "I'm fine. A leopard can't just change their stripes.. but I'm really trying." It's all she can muster.

Coming back to the couch with three plates once Divine returns, she leans over and kisses the top of Molly's head and sets one of the plates down in her lap. Then another on Divine's. Her own she puts on the couch so she can lean down and hug the smallest amongst them since all of this seems to hit her the hardest.

She kisses Molly's cheek, then stands up and goes back to her seat beside Divine, plate in her lap, leaning against the Kryptonian. "You're right, we'll deal with it when it becomes a problem." Because avoiding it doesn't make it go away. "Until then..." She motions at the sheaprds pie, "I cooked this... and it has real potatos in it."

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly knows she's strong. She's tough physically. But... The poor girl is still young. And her heart isn't even a fraction as shielded as her body is. So wants to help. SO hard. And she wants her friends to smile. She pulls her knees up into her arms, her feet on the couch. It's okay, they're Cindy's socks! They've been all over the apartment!

She watches Divine to go hug Cindy, turning her attention on the TV after a moment. The chaos helps distract her some. But she stays quiet and listens to the words coming from nearby more than the din of the television. The peck on her forehead makes her look up, though, and she does genuinely smile. It's a small one, but CIndy's there, and her legs drop back down so her lap can receive of dinner.

"Thanks, Cin-cin..." she says quietly, wiggling in and getting cozy and the plate. "C'mon... we're awesome... you know we are... we'll.. figure this out. S-sorry for bringing down the mood. I've... I was a lot smaller when I had to deal with a lot of bad, scary stuff, too. Hard to imagine it was... like... seven years ago when it all started..." she counts on her fingers and blinks, eyes wide.

    "....I was 11... wow.

Divine has posed:
This stuff is always going to be hard. A tiny little voice in her head, so quiet she can barely even hear it tells her that these two would be better off without her. That they're in danger from whoever is huntimg her as long as she's around. Divine ignores it. It's not helpful. It's not even -correct- Whoever is after her, her makers, are not prepared for -them-. Still, it's not exactly safe, either.

"This smells really good," she says, letting the steam waft up into her face as she just takes in the simple pleasure of a home cooked meal made with love. And real potatoes. That's effort. It's still probably weird how this giant tough woman eats so daintily. Small bites, not fast. Her manners are, honestly impeccible. "It's good."

She blinks a couple times at Molly's story. It's bad. Not good. Terrible. "You were just a kid. That's awful." Says the clone who isn't even chronologically four yet. Luckily she's closer to twenty otherwise.

Cindy Moon has posed:
Cindy isn't sure about mashed potatoes ontop of meat, which is weird only because she made it. She pokes at the slop on her plate... having to use a fork because this is not a meal designed for chopsticks.. and finally takes a small bite. She eats with that same demure grace she always does, covering her mouth with the palm of her hand while she chews. Then raises a brow and tilts her head with appreciation when all the flavors mix together on her pallet.

"Okay..." She murmurs, slicing another bite to eat in the same manner.

While staring across Divinea t Molly as she explains just how old she was when everything she's been through happened.. "That's.. god, that's horrible." She murmurs. Looking down at her food with a little froen. All of them have suffered through so much in their very short lifetime.

It's a wonder they're not all psychopaths.

"I know..." She murmurs to Divine, still frowning as the story Molly told radiates in her mind. Mixing with what Divine is going through.. what she's gone through. She squeezes her eyes closed and takes in a long breath and cuts another bite from the pie. "I'll do everything I can I to protect both of you.. I don't have many people. You are both my people.'

Molly Hayes has posed:
Fork. Spook. Whatever works. Molly's from California. She's had weirder. And worse. And honestly, this is. Really good. She noms on a few bites while the other two girls talk, expressing their distaste for her early teen years and what she went through. But she looks up between them, eyes sparkling, and she's smiling. It's a big one.

"...it was horrible. And. We ran. And I ran. But. Here's.... here's the important thing... up... up until we got split up... we weren't alone. My friends. We all had to stomp through the same dookie-filled dog park... but we had each other. An'... even after... I found Lina and Nico again..."

She takes another bite, the look on her face suggesting she promises she's going somewhere with this. Then she swallows, "...an' that's the thing. Divvy's not alone. Cin-cin's not alone. I'm not alone. We've got this cuz we're together. I... I got through the stuff I got through... cuz I wasn't by myself. And. We're not now, either." She nods, confident in her heart-spoken words.
