Synopsis: The new portal system is a success so far...
Cast of Characters: Billy Batson, Julie Power, Jon Kent, Audra Meridian

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson is Billy Batson thank you very much. This is a test and being Shazam might skew results. The portal system needs testing and he is working his way through the sciency members of his family and friends to see whether they can get to the Rock. He was planning on saving Jon for last, knowing the House of El's aversion to magic. He'd deal with franklin, then Valeria -Franklin might just need to learn the way once and Valeria was the Godchild of a powerful sorcerer. Julie... was available. she was kind of sciency. Anyway he bought her a tea for a bribe. Then again being Julie she might want to try some simple magic. He grins at his friend.

"So this isn't a spell. The spell is the portal... " He stops talking as a man walks his dog by. "These seven symbols will open the portal. You just have to visualize them with the intent. Are you getting this?" He holds a scrap of paper out to her with arcane symbols.

Julie Power has posed:
"A portal... you mean the Negative zone type or the wormhome type or akin to the Bifrost or like to or through some place like... Hell?" Julie answers at his short explanation, shrugging a moment as she tries to memorize the stream of sigils.

"So, I think of... those glyphs and then thinking about... getting someplace else? Or something more specific?"

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson Uhms. "Well you need to want to get somewhere... I really don't know. I never used these. As Shazam I need to be calm and put forth an effort of will and I'm there. Think of it like opening a door. Oh... I dunno if you and the P-Pack have a lair but it'd be nice to see it sometime! Lairs are cool."

Julie Power has posed:
"We got Friday. I mean, it's a ship, we can call it and it comes. Well, technically we can also emergency teleport to Friday and home, buit technically it's not like a base. That'd be ma's and pa's. So... Just think the glyphs, want to go somewhere and then bamf, we get the activation sequence to the Stargate locked in, Scotty beam me up and I'm there?" Julie jokes a little, once more eying the glyphs and doing herbest to memorize them. And try the magic.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson shrugs. "Don't overthink it. Visualize. Intent. You're there... you got a ship? Like a spaceship? Duuuuuude... marry me!" He ]laughs. "Seriously, we should make a day of touring our lairs... I mean Frankie and Val probably have a like play room but it could be fun." He des a two finger point at Julie, the scrap and the... open air."

Julie Power has posed:
"Boy, you got a girl already, and last I heard she's Sunny." Julie retorts, chuckling as she does her best at just visualizing the glyphs. One after another, following them with her inner eyes before thinking of... *somewhere else*. Like. Anywhere?

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson shrugs again. "She hasn't been around lately. I think our age difference s catching up to us. Hunh. We didn't go anywhere. Did Mary ever take you to the Rock? Probably not. No? Hmmm. Think of it like a password you type it in and expect it to work. I may just have to bring you and Val to the Rock first. Then you'd know where you're going. Anyway try one more time. Think of it like a password. Like you typed it six time without it working but then, you turned the caps lock off! This time it's got to work!"

Julie Power has posed:
Julie Power chuffs a moment as she tries it over and over again, like, three more times, altering the rhythm in which she figures omn the glyphs, trying it slow like spelling them out, trying them fast like mashing the buttons, again and again confirming with the scrap of paper while thinking of... well, whatever *the rock* shall be. "I try my best."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson hrrrrrms. "Give me your hand, stay close and we'll do it together. I'm being serious and I know I have a girl. Thank you for believing that. Freddie said she was an actress I paid when he saw her picture. I get that. "Is she with him? Wow it's like Ariana Grande and Peter Davidson! Except she too tall for him. She was wearing heels! Anyway. Calm. Let's try it together. Don't worry. I didn't say the word right the first time."

Julie Power has posed:
"Ok, let's try again... this... this... this. this... this... this.. and that... and..." Julie's thum moves over the paper held by the fingers to pont to which she is thinking of at the moment as they try again, this time hand in hand. Julie's left in Billy's right. Not in a Griends way.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson releases Julie's hand and spins around. "We're here, you did it. I was actually thinking of my next podcast. Good job, Jules! Fist bump?" He holds his fist up. "Welcome to the Rock of Eternity. I figured you guys may need access to it. Originally those symbols worked anywhere but Dr. Sivana learned them so I limited it to the one portal. What do you think?" He goes t grab a seat on the central chair. "Like one of those Middle Earth movies, hunh?"

Julie Power has posed:
Julie Power slips her hand free as he releases it, once more eying the paper in her hand, then Billy. "Uh... sure it was me?" she asks as she tucks the slip away and then offers the requested fistbump anyway, smiling still. "So, this is *your* secret base?" she asks, eying around the strange place. "Looks like a cave filled with winders. Sure it's not Ali Baba's lair? Wait, that column there is egyptian, not arabian, so more like a Pharaoh's tomb? Though... whoever designed the statues needs a seriious case of interior design class. Those statues need a serious touchup."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson straightens his hoodie, officiously and says, "Those aren't statues. They're demons in a magical stasis. bad form to paint them. that crystal floating over the staff is the Eye of Evil, the key to their prison. You can talk to them through it. But don't. They're demons. I got magical gad fly from Olympus too. There used to be a tiger man here to take care of the place. But he's on a sabbatical or something. those drs lead to other places, some are very bad."

Julie Power has posed:
"You mean like,... this is a nexus of reality of sorts?" Julie asks, closing her eyes a moment. With a flicker, she is in ehr uniform, the return of that from elsewhere seeming no problem.

"Fiiiday?" she asks after tapping the edge of her cuff, then again, sighing as she does not seem to get a response. "Wherever here is, it's not Earth. And not the normal 3D world."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson says, "Well... good thing the costume worked right at least! That's funny, cell phones work fine here." He regards her in the uniform for a moment. "Hey, I'm pretty sure Freddy has some Power Pack stuff, maybe you'd autograph it sometime? He'd love that. Oh, let me show you a new trick... SHAZAM!!" The lightning cracks, far louder than on Earth -but they're closer to the source here.

Shazam appears and does a slow turn. "What do you think?" He beams.

Julie Power has posed:
"Same Captain Lightning as ever, just more shiny." Julie muses, brushing her hair back a moment. "Well, Friday isn't always listening... I mean, might just be occupied. Or trying to locate me still. it can be such a smartass at times."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson frowns. "I am not. First, this is no longer a bodysuit. My tunic now has a flap and buttons up the side. Second I lost the hoodie and full length cape actually a mantle for a half cape worn off the shoulder and I got rid of the electrical effects... except on the lightning bolt." He points to each item. "I can now alter my costume. In fact... when I access full power from Zeus -it turns white and I sort of glow... I didn't even try for that. Looks cool..."

Julie Power has posed:
"Hmmm, you mean you did a whole uniform redesign? Well, true! But it's still Shazam or Captain Thunder orf Captain Marvel. Well, not *that* Captain Marvel that's also an Airforce Captain... gosh, superhero names are like a pain. And I must know it, I had my fair share of... three." Julie chuckles, nodding at the talk about costumes. "Though for me that came with a literal costume swap."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson sits back down. He'll get Marie and Sunny's opinions. "Oh, when you were Molecula and you could kind of stretch yourself taller? It is weid to be different heights. I get it. Believe me. SHAZAM!!" The lightning cracks again and there's Billy

"I keep finding I can do more stuff. I also find Zeus was not such a bad guy as the myths made him out to be. He did some bad stuff but... that's every deity I ever heard of. Imay be a pagan, what they call a Hellenist. Which is weird, since there's an Old Testament king in my head too."

Julie Power has posed:
"That was Density Control, not stretching. I could like, turn into a cloud of sorts. Our powers are like... Velocity, Density, Energy and Gravity." Julie muses, shrugging a moment.

"The myths don't make zeus a bad person, just a nuclear horndog with an adultery problem despite the fact he was married to the second most beautiful woman on Olympus. I mean, she did not win that apple of discordia."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson leans close to Julie and whispers, "Do not make light of goddesses especially HER and especially here. Aaaand never compare yourself to Venus. It can be dangerous. You know, when I met you, you were like two inches taller than me. I really had no hope, even considering the gender thing... but Mary said she'd put in a good word. And, you were and are awesome. You just did magic!

Julie Power has posed:
"Oh, I wouldn't dare to compare to her. But yea, don't slight the gods. Though if you want to complain, I heard Ares is pretty ok when you can word your complains right. Though then again, I think I heard he also works construction?" Julie laughs a moment, offering a little nod. "The inces I get... the gender thing.... Didn'T I already explain that?"

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson says, "Well yeah. Now. Back then I'd probably be more concerned with the height difference -honestly. I was pricing lifts. ... hey someone is coming. The portal is opening..." Billy points.

Julie Power has posed:
Julie Power blinks and looks to the place they had stepped in just a little earlier. "Oh? I can'T see it... wait, now I see." she says, stepping a little to make sure that whoever gets in wouldn't run her over. "You must have felt that."

Jon Kent has posed:
It took Jon some time, to be honest.

But eventually, the door to the Rock of Eternity opens to him.

He's dressed in his garb as Superboy: the blue bodysuit covers his entire person, the Red cape that connects at the shoulders, the red that bleeds all the way to the S-shield on his chest, red boots on his feet as he steps through.

He sees Billy and Julie.

"Hey you two. I uh..got the thing to work."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson shakes his head. "It's ok. We were just reminiscing about old times. I was talking about those of us with lairs giving tours.' Then he processes what was said, "It worked? That's great! I mean you're a space future alien, you don't take to magic. I hope this is cool with Superman. It is good to branch out."

Julie Power has posed:
"Who said that future space people can't use magic? I mean, I am technically kinda Kymellian and those are future tech space horses with powers, so...." Julie chuckles. "Anyway, Superboy, hm? I don't think we had the pleasures before, so... Julie Power, aka Lightspeed." She offers her hand with a smile.

Jon Kent has posed:
"I guarantee that I can't."

Jon lifts his shoulders. "I think Kryptonians are fairly magic-averse." Superboy admits, but he nods. "Should be. I mean, he works with Wonder Woman and plenty of other heroes who at least are experienced in /dealing/ with magic. I'm sure there will be no problems. Maybe being around it will increase my tolerance, hm?"

He chuckles softly. "Superboy. You can call me Jon." He reaches out to genty take Julie's hand and give it a shake. "Kymellian? That's awesome."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson smirks and opens his mouth to say, "Well that explains why you eat like one to Julie..." However he chooses life. besides Marie is the one who can eat, bless her heart. "You got alien stuff, you got future stuff, now you want magic? Greedy. No one can be good at everything... except Justice League." He pauses a moment, "Portal is forming I feel this as Billy. Wild."

Audra Meridian has posed:
It would appear the new portal access is getting plenty of testing. This time it's the other recent addition to the group that steps through. "Wow! And I thought the hyperloop was a convenience for travelling." After letting out a soft whistle Audra uses one gauntlet clad hand to lift up her goggles (safety first when trying something experimental for the first time), letting them rest upon her forehead. Seeing there's already a few people here she grins a little. "If there was any worry us non-magic people could get it to work, you can lay that concern to rest."

Julie Power has posed:
"The Hyperloop? You believe too much in that guy that thought it was his idea because he managed to find a new name for it. Trains in tunnels are as old as the London underground and the Paris metro, and high speed ones are around since ages in fiction." Julie offers to Audra at the suggestion that the Hyperloop was anything cool. Offering her hand, she chuckles. Julie Power, Lightspeed."

"And well, Jon, you just *did* use magic or so Billy here explained. That rock and Portal? Magic!"

"Oh, I thought Avengers can have everything too. And Shield. And of course Wakanda. I mean, the Black Panther is and his Vibranium stuff and Princess Shuri are like that Asimov quote in steroids.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson says, "Yeah you used magic, the way you use science when you turn on a light. Learning actual spells... is really hard. Like getting a PhD hard. I wanted to make sure we could all get here. Just... don't wander off. My brother found Chtulhu behind one or so he says and don't listen to the Eye of Evil over there. It lies. It makes false promises. It will want you to put it in your head. Hey Wind Rose. Uhm also don't share those symbols. Anyone can use them. I'm working on gving you each a unique password but I'm not even that good at computer programming."

Audra Meridian has posed:
"Okay, fair point missy, but that doesn't change that it is convenient." A pause. Then a shrug. "Well unless I need my entire rig on a job, then I gotta drive the old fashioned way." She grips the offered hand and gives it a firm shake. "Known as Windrose, but you can just call me Audra round here. The codenames are just for the public, y'know," she adds with a wink.

"It -is- called the Eye of Evil, after all." Audra combs a hand back through her hair to make sure it's all in order. "Funny you mention computer programming. Thinking of it as a combination code rather than focus on it being mystic runes is what made it work for me. But I gotcha, no sharing."

Jon Kent has posed:
"I'm not tryin' to be..."

Superboy remarks to Billy with a bit of a chuckle. "Justice League, Avengers, Titans..." Jon starts, but then he turns Adra, a smile on his face. "Hey there." He smiles warmly at her, then he looks at Julie.

"I guess, but like...you won't see me throwing up shields or anything. If I could use magic, that'd probably be a big help." He chuckles.

"Found....Cthulhu?" Superboy asks Billy.

Julie Power has posed:
"Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn." Julie muses at Billy, giving him a wink at the warning about old ones behind the doors.

"Oh, I know well. I mean, not like it's of use to use to have a secret ID for my anymore, but that's just me."

"So if you are standing under Mr. Captain America Rogers, you wouldn't toss up his shield to him? Comeon, I thought better of you than that, Jon." Julie teases with a wink.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson stares at Julie. "I told you not to fool around like that here. Words have a lot of power here. Why don't you quote the inscription on the ruling ring in the Black Speech? And yes from my end it was computer programming. I had to set it up for you guys. It's definitely a password. Getting it to work was programming. And most people don't understand how the computers they use work." He chin nods.

Audra Meridian has posed:
"I'm not going to pretend to understand how magic works... but that comparison does make it easier to understand the concept -of- it working. Like you said, people use technology all the time without really knowing -how- it works the way it does. This is.. kind of the same. Close enough to not worry about it." And that's good enough for Audra. She's already worked with enough magic slinging people to not be put off by it, scientific mind or not. "Just no quoting things that might actually be magical and no one really thought about it."

Jon Kent has posed:
"What?"

Jon has /no idea/ what Julie had just said regarding Cthulhu. "Sounds dark and evil. Don't want to think about that too much..." Jon admits. Which is completely fair, though he hums. "Words have always had power." Jon tells Billy. "One word can turn someone from evil as much as deny them something good."

He then looks at Audra with a slight smile. "Nice to meet you, Audra. I'm Jon. Superboy, if you prefer." He looks around.

"This is....immense."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson says, "Saying stuff like the Lovecraft or Tolkien stuff in a certain way or place -it can get you noticed. Like going on a bad web site. It doesn't have to be conventional occultism or spells. It can b anything enough people are invested in. And as for Cthulhu -near enough. we hung a sign on that door. You can take a peek if you want. I'm taking Pedro's word for it. Not like he'd lie. And yeah it is, I haven't tried flying around it all yet. It's like Minecraft -don't dig up more than you can handle. "He goes to offer Audra his hand. "I'm Billy and you know me as Shazam. More magic."

Julie Power has posed:
"Because it is written in an elven dialect and never properly transscribed? Besides, an Author that writes storis where people turn mad all the time most likely wasn't really magical... I hope at least that Lovecraft was just a madperson." Julie gives back with a little sigh, shrugging a moment. "Anyway. So magic is literally behaving like Clarke said. Or rather, Technology and magic are the same if you don't understand them. Or what did he say... Any technology advanced enough is indistinguishable from magic."

Audra Meridian has posed:
Audra Meridian had noticed Jon there but not really paid attention to him with the other conversation she got pulled into upon her arrival. Her attention shifts back to him at his introduction, and her expression lights up. "Oh that's why you look younger! I've seen your..." She trails off for a long moment as she realizes she's not sure just what the relation between the two is. "... well, I've lived in Metropolis, I've seen the elder Superman a few times. The resemblence is there." Ah, wow, awkward way to put your foot in your mouth, Audra.

Billy comes with a thankful diversion as she accepts the hand to shake. "And you, you are like the living equivilent to don't judge a book by its cover. I would of never guessed, but after seeing you in action, I would never doubt it being true either. Just glad I was able to help out a bit."

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson says, "Works the other way too. My brother uses his magic lightning to operate technology. Which... I admit I'm jellie. I mostly do the brute force lightning tricks... though I did a passable S-signal the other day when I found Krypto. I envy Kryptonian senses at times... but I'm greedy. I do sense magic."

"Audra you were a big help. There's only so much a single person can do for crowd control. It's not about strength. Sure, Pantheon or Jon or I could've grabbed a few hundred people and whisked them away in a split second... and the acceleration would kill them. Power is not all there is to this job. I wish I had More experience like Julie at times. I get people comparing me to Superman all the time and... I wish."

Julie Power has posed:
"I may have experience, but I know mostly that there are limits what I can do. And that I can't be everywhere at once." Julie offers with a smile.
