Synopsis: Phoebe and Bart try to determine the nature of the 'dust' from the rock that Cass destroyed that was affecting Conner/Superboy. Phoebe has a vision of the previous holder, and meets Pantheon (Freddy Freeman) for a second time. The trio agree to meet on Sunday to travel to the Rock of Eternity.
Cast of Characters: Phoebe Beacon, Bart Allen, Freddy Freeman

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
It was a decent afternoon in Gotham City. Phoebe Beacon, taking a break from the very public persona of Phoebe Wayne following an altercation with a gentleman running for senate, has suddenly found some afternoons free, which she is using to tend to the garden on the rooftop.

The young woman is wearing a T-shirt and jeans, her eyes half-closed as she works some climbing roses back into a recognizable and acceptable shape, gently twining their tendrils into an arbor.

"Stupid... roses... turn my back ... and you go all feral on me -- what, did you betray me to Ivy?!" she hisses crossly, and then finally, gently brings some of the tendrils in place, securing loosely with green twist-tie.

"There, I knew you loved me. Stubborn plants." she chides, and winces, bringing herself up to a stretch, trying to stretch the muscles in her back out. She's wearing just jeans and a T-shirt today with some skeletal motif, and jeans that are worn down.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen had to work last night, and had a few errands he had to do today. So now that he has time to talk to Phoebe, he sets out to find her "Not at her apartment." He says after knocking on her door. Then after eating a few cookies, he thanks Alfred "Ok I will find her thanks." And away from the mansion he is running. Third time is the charm though as he finds himself up on the roof, having stopped to get strawberry flavored bribes.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Third time is the charm; there's Phoebe, doing some gardening away from the Curio and the Mansion (Hi Alfred!).

The wind follows Bart as he comes up to the roof with strawberry soda pops, and Phoebe gives a bright smile.

"Bart! Good to see you -- sorry, school has kinda been kicking my butt lately." And Patrols. And, rumor has it, *canoodling*.

She wipes her hands off and looks over to the Speedster. "I've got some whoopie pies if you want some. I made two for each other Outsider and six for you."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles and says "Cool I brought your favorite as well." He holds up the bag and offers it to her. "I know how things can get, I may have more time than most, but yea there are lots of things to do." He admits. He offers a hug but does not press it, and says "I got something else you might be interested in, but it is more Work related." He says making the air quotation marks around the word work,

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Oh? Batwork or Not-Bat-Work?" Phoebe questions, but either way her interest is piqued. She sits down on the patch of grass she installed (specifically so that Tim can 'touch grass' when needed), and pulls out a large tuppie with wrapped cakes with white cream filling between them, and she plucks two up, offering them both to Bart. Speedster metabolism and everything.

    "What'd you bring me?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen sets the food he brought with her, and then is off for a moment and back again just as quick. He has a bag with him this time, and pulls a container from it that has some dust in it "Magic Dust." He tells her "I figured limit the amount of speed force I exposed it to, so only carried it once I knew where you were." He offers her the container "Technically I think it would be outsider adjacent work. Pantheon is one of the Titans, and he gave it to me when I told him I had contacts with the magic people. Seems He got it from an incident that happened recently. Cass and Conner were involved with it from what I was told."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"That does make it Outsider business too." Phoebe comments quietly, and she reaches, accepting the container of dust.

She purses her lips a moment, taking the container and carefully opening it. She wafts a little of the dust to her nose, and then she leans towards her bag to grab some chalk.

"Do you know what the story is behind it? Divination's not my strong suite -- paid attention, but dunno if it works the same for me as it did for--" she pauses, "You know."

And she crosses her legs, scooting onto the roof proper to clear some of the gravel off it and go to the roof itself, and she begins to chalk in a circle.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen gets himself a whoopie pie and says "Well from what I was told, it was out near Happy Harbor, and it originally was a rock had some of the same type of magic mojo as the Rock of Eternity. Which is again connected to Fr.. Pantheon." He catches himself, pretty sure Freddy would not mind but he tries to remember not to slip . "Anyways it was causing people to go wacko, and was trying to mind control SB, when Cass got to it and broke it and it turned to dust."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Just a rock that happened to take control of Con and Cass?" Phoebe looks mildly disturbed. "I... I feel like I should have been told about this earlier." she murmurs, and she stretches her fingers a moment. "Then again, Kryptonians and Magic generally don't mix well..." she ventures thoughtfully, and then she takes a pinch of the dust, and places it in the middle of an intricately arced and lined magical circle.

She then takes her green handled knife out of her bag.

"Look away if you're squeemish." she murmurs gently to Bart, and pokes her finger for a drop of blood.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen is learning to be a vet so blood does not bother him to much at least "I think it was taking control of SB, Cass was like the MVP of the whole thing the way Pantheon made it sound. She really impressed him, but lets face it Cass is impressive."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"There's a reason why Cass and I get along so well. It's because she's terrifying." Phoebe gives a slight smile, adding the drop of blood to the dust, and then she places her hands to either side of the magical circle, and breathes out, trying to get a feel for any remaining magic in it.

"Ostende quid videatur; Ostende mihi praeteritum!"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen says, "I would have no clue what that is like, considering who I spend my free time with." He jokes as he is dating one of the other ex assassins on the team. For a hero group there is a lot of ex assassins about. He munches away on his snack as he watches Phoebe do her thing."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe's grin is contagious as she takes a deep breath, the circle turning pinkish-gold as she concentrates her magic.

"Yeah, there's just an attraction to the 'scary' ones isn't there?" she comments softly, her mind momentarily drifting to someone else before it snaps back.

Phoebe's eyes go grayish, like cataracts slowly spiral into being over her irises, her eyes going wide as the vision comes to her.

She breathes out in some unidentifiable curse word, and then is forcefully knocked back into the grass, several feet from where she had been concentrating on the stone, the audable SNAP in the air of the connection terminating.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will leave his pie hanging in the air to drop from where it was held, as he moves to Phoebe's side. He is moving to check on her "Phoebe you ok?" He asks, sparing the micro second to look around to make sure what ever caused this aint somehow coming here to try to finish the job.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe's eyes were still clouded, and she's panicking, momentarily, reaching out for Bart's voice.

"Can't -- see--" she wheezes out like someone knocked the wind out of her.

There is nothing coming through the circle looking to finish the job. Warning has been served.

    Her nose is bleeding.

"There are two stones. /There Are Two Stones/. Two Rocks?" she tries to make sense of the vision, then curls, coughing slightly.

"Shazam and Pantheon might know more, might be able to give more info but... It Saw Me." she coughs, and then goes flat to her back. Her healing powers working on herself, her eyes closing.

"I **hate** it when that happens."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will get a napkin and holds it to Phoebe's nose to help stop the bleeding. He will stay beside her holding her hand and says "I will call pantheon here in a minute see if he can meet us somewhere and you can tell him what you saw.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Napkin to her nose. Friend to her side. This isn't a bad outcome, but oh, her head.

"Thanks, Bart. I don't have their numbers otherwise I'd text a whatup, y'know?" Phoebe states from her place on the rooftop as her vision tries to clear.

"Of course, on a day when I've got an appointment with Constantine to keep I get knocked out. Ugh." she mutters. "Did you catch the plate on the bus that hit me?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen shakes his head and says "You weren't out but a moment, and nothing seemed to appear at least not that I could see." He offers trying to help. He pulls his phone out with one hand and fires off a test to Freddy.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods and looks to Phoebe "I got him on the phone, going to have him meet us at my place." He will gently scoop her up, and with a zoom he is off to take her to his place. He lays her on the couch and says "Be right back." As he heads to clean up the roof and send the test "Meet us at my place." to Freddy. While He is off Huginn and Muninn the one eyed black cats come to inspect Phoebe.

Freddy Freeman has posed:
There is a cracking sound on the horizon, and a blue form can be seen streaking in the direction of the roof of Bart's apartment at an extremely high rate of speed. Pantheon doesn't move as fast as the major names in the Speedster community, but few on this planet can outpace him. As he lands -- feather-light -- on the rooftop with his hair all a-tangle, there is a blush to his cheeks and a smile on his face. Our boy *loves* to be Pantheon and *loves* to fly.

"Hey, Bart," he says in a warm tone as he approaches his friend. "Freddy told me you had some tea to spill."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Don't spill tea. The stuff stains." comes a voice from atop the rooftop, and dabbing at a bleeding nose that really *should* have stopped bleeding a time ago, clad in some dark clothes after a magical quick-change, is Balm. Supernatural Investigator, Magical Healer, currently not feeling so hot.

"Pantheon. Nice to meet you under better circumstances than 'Robin might be dying'." she gives a toothy smile, and the girl raises her hand for a gentle fist-dap in lieu of a handshake or high-five, and she squints a little bit as she looks up to the hero.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks over to the two as he gets back "Good, so you two have met." His brow does raise a bit at the Robin might be dying "Balm here is my magic connection. If she can't figure something out she at least knows where and who to point me to."

Freddy Freeman has posed:
Pantheon's gaze shifts over to consider the approaching Balm. His Solomon-sharp gaze flits over Balm's bloody nose but for reasons known only him, he doesn't mention it at the moment. With a sheepish looks on his face, Pantheon rubs the back of his neck with one hand. "Yeeeaah, we may, uh, we may never know how poor Robin got hit by that lightning bolt," the abashed hero murmurs. He fist bumps her.

He looks from Bart to Balm to Bart to Balm to Bart and back to Balm. "So he showed you the dust, I take it?" The previous moment's levity dissipates. "A lot of people were hurt over that stuff," Pantheon intones. "Superboy was almost taken over by it, and thank the gods that was a *catastrophe* that never happened. Do you have any idea what it's about?"

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"It was a while back, Bart." Balm replies, and she dabs at her nose again, and with a wipe of her right hand over it, it stops bleeding and the blood itself seems to dissipate.

"Showed me the dust, and I used some spellwork to try and take a look at where it came from, and I was hoping you might shed some light on a few questions I have, because when I looked into the past, the past saw me." she states.

She crosses her arms, the smell of roses and black pepper hanging around her, the olfactory result of her magic.

"How familiar are you with large magical rocks?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will find a place to sit and pets the two cats as they come up to start rubbing against his legs, and wanting attention. So, he listens to them while pleasing the bosses of the house.

Freddy Freeman has posed:
For a moment, Pantheon's eyes sink shut as he communes with Solomon. With eyes still shut and his attention very far away, Pantheon's lips begin to move. What comes out is his voice mixed with some other, greater voice. As he talks, his body begins to slowly hover upwards. The dual vocalization says, "From icy hell and abyssal mine, come forth a demon unbound by time..."

Then Pantheon sinks back down to the rooftop and his eyes open. "Large magical rocks?" he inquires, showing no sign that he is aware of what just happened to him. He shakes his head. "I mean, the Shazams keep our base in an alternate plane called the Rock of Eternity. But if you're referring to the stone that Orphan destroyed, I haven't any idea where it came from."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
The mage crosses her arms a little bit tighter, her eyes squinting as if nursing a bad headache.

"I do." she whispers softly, as if something might overhear her, and her gaze drops and goes to the side. "But I don't think it should be discussed out here. And I'm expecting company of a different sort."

    She seems to deflate.

"All happens at once, donnit?" she questions quietly. "Look, if others want in, maybe doing it as a joint meet-up. Might bef or the best. Try to get some teamwork in, you know? Less we have to say it less the story gets changed by mis-remembering, yeah?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks to the two and says "Well if there is anything I can do to help, I am up for it, might not know a bit about the whole magic thing but have learned Salt is handy and unicorns can be nice or a pain in the bitt.

Freddy Freeman has posed:
Drawing a long breath and exhaling slowly, Pantheon again looks back and forth between Balm and Bart. "We have a meeting planned in the Rock of Eternity on Sunday evening to discuss this. I'd like to invite you both to come. I can help you make the crossing."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"All the unicorns I've ever met were mind-controlled and not really unicorns but were forced into an identifiable form crossing over dimensional barriers at the best of a highly agitatable and irritating cursed spirit whom my boyfriend helped rip apart the gateway he was siphoning life force back to their home plane like a bad Sailor Moon villain." Phoebe mutters, and then she takes a deeeeeeeeeeeep breath.

"I'm in. If you help make the crossing I shouldn't get lost."

She points down. "I live in this building half the time, but I can give you my cell number if that works better."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks over and says "They were not real unicorns?" He hmms a bit surprised at that, and a brow raises for a second as he notices something else she says but files it away for later "I am in and can maybe bring others if needed."

Freddy Freeman has posed:
Pantheon opens a small pouch on the side of his belt and tugs out a cell phone. He keeps it powered down to make it harder to track him, so he hits a button and an Apple logo appears as it begins to boot up. "Yeah let's trade numbers, for sure." A friend of Bart's is a friend of his.

When Bart also says he's in, a relieved smile crosses Pantheon's face. "We're gonna have enough firepower there to ward off any threat," he says cockily. Playfully he flexes his biceps and traps.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"As real as Unicorns get in our world, don't tell your cousin. She'd be heartbroken." Phoebe gives a rueful smile over to Bart, and then she exchanges her number, which has a Gotham areacode. Her phone case has the Bat Symbol on it. Official merch, and she inputs Pantheon into her phone as well.

"So, we'll meet Sunday. I can take a couple days to recover from the vision. I'm still seeing spots." she blinks her eyes a bit to try and clear them.

"Hopefully we'll have plenty of help on hand to take care of this issue."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods a bit and will zoom off for a second and is back moments later offering a tea to Balm. Seems he has learned a bit about calming things. Then to Freddy he adds "We can contact Orphan or Superboy if ya want as well."

Freddy Freeman has posed:
"Balm," Pantheon begins, "I have no doubt you have magical protections that I can't even dream of. But I do know enough about magical visions to at least know they can draw unwanted attention. So if you ever feel like you need to change locations and lie low for a minute, let me know." He leaves it at that because Balm is more than capable of taking care of herself. It's just a friendly, open-ended offer of assistance.

To Bart: "Yeah, man, that would be awesome. They were both there when the rock unleashed madness in Happy Harbor. I'm sure they would be a great help."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Balm just gives a very toothy smile. She accepts the tea, and crossing her legs she sits down on the rooftop.

"My magical protections are probably shite, as either one of my ex dads might say. But I have an appointment with Constantine for a different project so unfortunately here I stay. Thanks for the tea, Bart." she comments, raising the cup a moment as she breathes out.

"My speciality, magically speaking, is healing, binding, purification, that sort of stuff. Familial tradition. Not like you guys. You're literal Powerhouses." she gives a small grin, "but next time I have a demon chasing me down after a wrong number, I'll give you a ring. Last time I took to hiding in Kansas. Nothing good ever comes out of *Kansas*."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen holds up a finger to add something but says "No can't say that." and then says "Yea, will talk to them, and will see what I can add, Where do you want to meet to play taxi to this rock?"

Freddy Freeman has posed:
"All you have to do is call," Pantheon says to Balm. "You saved Robin's life, and Robin is..." Pantheon's gaze gets momentarily distant. "...a very dear friend."

Then to Bart, "Let's meet at 7:30 at Clifford Park in Queens. I'll get us the rest of the way there. It's an easy journey. I've made it many times."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"I would have saved anyone's life. RObin's very dear to me as well." Balm gives a smile, contemplating her tea.

"Seven-thirty at Clifford Park. I'll be there. Might bring a friend, dunno. Depends on if we need extra firepower." she sips her tea as she hunches her shoulder over.

"So much going on at once again."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods his head a bit to this and watches and Huginn and Muninn decide now is the time to come over and sniff and explore Pantheon's legs "Oh thats Huninn and Muginn." Bart introduces the cats.

Freddy Freeman has posed:
Pantheon scoops up the cats, one in each strong arm. "I met Isis once, when the Underworld breeched into Olympus. She helped the Olympians seal the tear in reality. She was..." He pushes his nose against each cat, one at a time. "...very fond of cats. And a *powerful* healer." He shrugs a little bit as he sets the cats back down. "I only talked to her for a moment. To all of them I was little more than an intern there to clean the bathroom and fetch the coffee." His hazel eyes glitter amusedly.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Well, she *did* revive Osiris after he was chopped into pieces. I should hope she's a good healer." Balm mutters, and seems a little cross.

"I met Set once. He told everyone I was supposed to die horribly." she wiggles her fingers at the cats in question as she sits on the roof with half a cup of tea.

"Seen Persephone as Queen of the Dead though. Worked with someone who was a quasi-avatar of Thoth. Mostly I've just been unimportant."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks between the two and says "I know Vinney at the book store, he gives me a deal on my used text books." He jokes a bit with the two of them.

Freddy Freeman has posed:
Pantheon walks over closer to Bart. He rests a hand on the young man's shoulder. "Don't do that," the Immortal Elder-imbued hero says good-naturedly to his friend. "We know who you really are, and the world would be a darker place without you." With a hand that could crush steel, Pantheon's gives his friend's shoulder a gentle squeeze.

Then he turns to Balm again. "Balm, it was amazing to see you again. Thank you for lending your expertise."

He walks to the edge of the roof. "I need to get home," he says simply, then gives his friends that warm smile like he does, that smile that shows the golden heart of Freddy Freeman. Then he takes to the air and speeds off to the horizon like a fighter jet.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Pantheon leaves, and Phoebe gives a small smile to Bart, and reaches over to scoop up a cat.

"Don't sell yourself short, Bart. You're a big reason I came back after I ran off. I don't know where I'd be without you."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smirks a bit and says "Hey I try to be a good friend for folks. You guys are my family, what else would I do?"
