Cast of Characters: Franklin Richards, Mary Bromfield, Marie-Ange Colbert

Franklin Richards has posed:
It was early evening when the portal broke open, and out stepped Franklin though he is dressed like an adventure, white cloth shirt, worn leather pants both with a bit of stuffing for protection extremly old style. He had been exploring, finding different things, different places, as a wierd dark looking forest is behind him as he steps out. Franklin looked around, as he was supposed to be home. It was rather simple, as he had a few times but for some reason he was here outside. As he realised it the rain started, as it had looked like a nice night the rain started pouring down as Franklin sighs. He reaches into a pocket and pulls out... Nothing. As this surprises a now wet Franklin. He frowns, a bit and looks for a building to hide under as he checks his pockets. "Oh good." he finally says looking down the Alley that was still empty as he takes out a small phone.

He stops, and other then call his family he smiles, and remembers he was part of a team now, so called the Shazam's instead. It rings, and if someone were unlucky to pick it up, they would hear Franklin trying to exmplain, but the interfence on the phone which sounds like someone in the near distance moaning loudly. He explains, how he was cursed, and his powers are fritzing. He is in the Bronx... I could use a hand." then silence as the phone doesn't hang up, just silence on the other side.

On the other side Franklin looks at his phone. "Hello... Hello?" and sighs as he shuts it down to try to cool down the battery as to get a little extra charge, but it just did seem to want to work. He took a step to head down the alley, and steps into a puddle, his foot flooded, and the bottom of his leg is soaked as the rain pours down around him.. "Great.. How the heck are they supposed to find me in this city." as he looks around for ways to help.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary picks up the phone, "Hello?" She pauses, vaguely hearing something out of a bad horror movie, then tilts her head and looks over at the caller ID. Noticing it's from Franklin, she frowns and looks over towards Marie, "I think Franklin is trying to call us, and failing. Want to go and try to find him?" She hrms, ending the call, but then texts Franklin:

"If you have a GPS on your phone turn on the tracking app and send me a link plzkthx - M"

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Marie's been in the kitchen, starting to gather things to order to start working on the couple's dinner, but when Mary answers the phone, she stops what she's doing. Attention turning over towards her beloved. Listening... and then nodding solemnly, leaving the room-temperature things out, and quickly stuffing the cold items back in the fridge.

"It would be most prudent to do so, I believe... though your method may be the most effective to use, oui?" Which is to say, Mary flying Marie around while they both search for the Richards boy!

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin looks at his phone with a black screen, and hopes they got that as he puts it back into his pocket looking around a bit. It was busy, and getting busier as it got darker, but Franklin frowned seeing if there were maybe a cop, or something as he wasn't a criminal, and perhaps it would give him a place to sit and wait even if it was a cell. On the other hand Mary would get a text back. "Do you come here of your own free will, or do you come by compulsion?" then the gps comes on like there is no issues. Any further texts would not be answered,

Franklin was just walking before he was shoved, and pushed into a wall by some dude that was just walking looking for trouble, as Franklin is nearly shoved down he gets a "What the Hell man, you trying me!" as Franklin just sighs a bit looking down. When the person just a little older then Franklin himself put his hand on the gun Franklin by instinct snapped using his power.

He had ment to slow the person down, by gravity, but the man grew... and grew until he was about ten feet tall, and well over 400 pounds looking more muscle then anything.

Franklin only says "Oh.. no." as he is picked up by the large man and shaked as he demands to know what he has done, though he is slowly realising he feels pretty good.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary hrms, frowning at the cryptic text, "Either Franklin is being very weird, or something else is going on. We better get going... fortunately, the GPS on his phone seems to be working." She grins at the ping, then says, "SHAZAM!"

Fortunately, the magic lightning doesn't seem to bother the phone, which she then hands to Marie, "I fly, you navigate?" She grins cheerfully, not too worried about what they might encounter.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"As usual, mon amour, oui." Marie replies with a bright smile, taking the phone from Mary and hopping up to make it all the easier for Mary to lift her; not that the slim Marie would be any trouble for the Champion of Magic! The fact that this is a rather common play in the couple's playbook also makes it easy.

There's a bit of flying to get where they're going, but with the GPS to guide them to the general area, and good eyesight to pick out the dark-haired young man once they're close....

"There!" Marie announces, pointing down to the alleyway eagerly.

Franklin Richards has posed:
As the big man slowly realises what is going on he laughs, and says "Do to them!" and he points at his two friends, Franklin explains.. "I don't even know how I did that.." but by grabing Franklin by his feet he shakes him over the other two. Being shook Franklin tries to say this won't work, before a little blue sparkles a bit of change from before falls, and the two men graw though not nearly as large. So now there is one large man about hulk size, and two about half the size. The large one has Franklin now tossed over his shoulder facing the other way just saying "oww.." a bit shaken from before.

They are walking out of the Alley, but from up here they can see something wierd.. It looks like a Garbage truck is coming down the other way. What is wierd is how fast it is going... Well that and maybe how the storm is picking up. It would be easy to start seeing lightning in the sky, but it seems to be a little ways away.

If one can see, or feel magic looking at Franklin would be a mess. The others look just like a normal enchantment, but based off a wierd power.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thunderbolt flies in quickly, thunder cracking ahead of her to herald the arrival of herself and Tarot. She frowns slightly, "Something definitely feels... off, be careful." She sets the woman down near the alley, then speaks up, "Hey! Why don't you three pick on someone your own size!" She doesn't look too intimidated by the trio of much larger than normal criminals.

After all, bigger they are, the harder they fall. Or at least that's what she's probably hoping.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Admittedly, when it comes to battles, Marie knows that Mary can generally handle herself. Marie herself tends to rely on tricks to try and 'punch up' to the brunette's level, so while Thunderbolt is going to fly in and make herself known, Marie... is not.

Instead, she carefully stands near the mouth of the alley, drawing her deck from it's pouch and shuffling them in an almost absent fashion, watching and waiting to see if she'll need to act. Afterall, if Mary knocks out the big guy... the others might very well flee in terror. If not, being an unassuming 'bystander' might actually work to her advantage!

Franklin Richards has posed:
Lifting the plastic off the top of a large trash bin, he just tears through the lock as he opens it. He tosses Franklin in slamming the top again as he looks at Mary. "You no take!" the others chanting "No take" over and over. Whatever had happened to them seem not to help their mental capacity at least. This whole time the truck is driving towards the group it honks, as the large man attacks Mary just with his fists. There is no real 'tactics' more just try to hit her. Though he isn't weak his strength was maybe 25 tons at best.

The others weaker, were about Ten, as they moved to either help, or to get to the other girl. If their boss was attacking Mary, they figured they could handle Marie though maybe it was just because they were afraid to attack the same target. Either way it would take time for them to move around the two, but right now the fight looks like it might be out of the way of the truck now. The two don't notice the cards as to them she was just an unarmered person who was trying to get in their way.

The other good news is they were slow, the muscles helped, and they were way stronger then normal their speed, and athletics were below normal. Franklin banged lightly on the side of the Trash bin his muffled voice of "They are not thinking right.. Don't kill them!" he tries to yell at whoever is fighting them out there. He was looking down so didn't get to see Mary, or Marie, and he didn't know Mary's voice when she was all serious like that. He considered trying to use his powers to turn them back, but that was even risker.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thunderbolt looks a bit miffed, "Why would I kill them? Sheesh!" She sounds rather insulted as she decides to use more speed than strength in this case, zipping around the leader before punching him in the back of the knee. Her intent, to make him fall down now, as she shouts, "Tarot, they don't seem to be the brightest bulbs!" In other words, they probably would be a sucker for a good card projection.

Even if it isn't necessarily the most tactically useful. "What happened here, Franklin?"

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
As Marie hears Franklin's empassioned plea, she... laughs. Mary? Kill /anyone?/ It's not something that she can ever see happening, though that might be because of the redhead's particular view of the girl...

"Oui!" she replies to Mary, ducking back around the corner for a moment as she pulls a card from the deck... and smiles. The Strength card. Closing her eyes to shut out distractions, she brings to life the mighty lion depicted on the card, directing it to rush into the alleyway and deliver a fearsome roar.

...and if they weren't scared of a Very Serious Mary, a lion that barely *fits* into the alleyway might encourage their flight of fright a little more.

Franklin Richards has posed:
He stops as he gets a sheesh..."Wait... did you get my call?" he puts his hands on the side of the Trash bin, while on the inside. "I can't open it.. When he slamed it shut it jammed." though he is is cut off as whatever he said from there is broken off as the Garbage truck drives, and is forced to stop as he blows the horn trying to get the large men to stop fighting Mary and Marie. The driver yells something, but he doesn't leave the truck. With a sigh Franklin was happy as help had arrived though was embarassed as he needed to get saved... again though with the truck, the horn, there was no way he could talk over it as he didn't even trust his telepathy.

Now to the hit to the back of the knee. It works, of course, but as the man falls he yells.. "Fools get her.. Stop her!" he yells looking back as the two are looking at the Tiger frozen, though with the leader shaking them lose. They thought the lion was real, but they were stronger, greater, they had to fight... and they would eat that Tiger as the two looking at Marie look distracted by the lion. The big man is starting to get up again. His leg hangs a little though he doesn't even seem to notice.

This is all happening as the Truck driver yells "That's it I am going to call the cops. Give'm hell Miss!" and speads off down the alley as fast as they were coming. All is good with them except for one issue. The Trash Bin which Franklin was shoved is no-longer there, and on the gps he is quickly traveling away.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary sighs, "Oh for crying out loud. This, is where you fall down now." She then delivers a SHORYUKEN in grand Street Fighter tradition, intending to knock the leader down and out. Regardless of his consciousness, she angles over towards Marie, flying over the other two as she looks to get back with her partner.

After all, she doesn't have the GPS on her, but she did notice that the dumpster was gone. Which is a definite problem. Moreso than the trio of criminals pestering at the moment.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Fortunately for Marie (and not so much those harassing poor Franklin!), her creations were, in fact, very much real. As real as anyone else there, really, at least until Marie's concentration is broken.

Which happens as soon as the GPS starts chiming that there's new directions to follow. Marie's eyes snap open, and the lion vanishes into the ether from which it came.

"Oh no..." she whispers to herself, before looking towards Mary -- who's already flying towards her! "Thunderbolt! The signal is on the move, we must hurry!"

She calls out to the brunette; Marie's well aware of what comes next. That feeling of weightlessness that follows being hefted into the air!

Franklin Richards has posed:
The big man falls like he can fly backwards for a moment the hit knocking him down. A slurred.. "I cn geet up." and he tries, and falls.. tries again, and then seems to start to deflate until he is his original size. With a "uuugh" the man who was the big man lays there and will be fine. The two guys and the lion are staring at each other, but as the GPS goes off it isn't just Marie who breaks contact. Franklin being too far away the men start to deflate like the other man. The weight, and pressure of this change is too much for both of them, and they too fall as they will be okay just with a messed up story.

Franklin inside the Trash Bin speaks up as this truck is taking too long. "I want to thank you guys really it is good to have friends who can help get ya out of a situation." though there is no-one there as the truck is just driving quickly along. The good news is the truck doesn't get far as it turns onto the street speeding along, the forks on the far side of the truck that picked up the trash just forgotten in emergancy. That is until they take another turn too quickly heading down the road to the police instead of going down the steep hill. With a grinding noise the trashbin falls off and lands on the steep hill down, as it starts sliding down. Inside Franklin is saing.. "Hey... What is going on out there?" as the Trashbin is sliding down the hill. Soon it will start spinning, then it will tip, and roll if not stopped. Thankfully it is going with traffic, so at least that is going for it.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Thunderbolt shakes her head, as she easily scoops up Marie, staying on the fly as she arrows off after the truck, "Okay, let's go!" She kicks on the speed, thunder cracking in her wake as she catches up with the truck rather easily, and sees the trashbin containing Franklin rolling off down the hill.

"You have GOT to be kidding me... hang on, Marie!" With that, she shifts her grip on Marie, holding her with one arm, while she reaches out with the other and scoops up the dumpster, grabbing it with the other as she shouts, "Franklin, are you alright in there?"

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Marie's pretty comfortable with being flown around by Mary; she's done it countless amounts of times! Being /told/ to hang on is a little more unusual but not entirely unheard of either. Plus, it's closer to how she flies under her own power; holding on for dear life!

Which is why when she realizes exactly what Mary has planned? Well. She doesn't just hang on. She outright /clings./ Because while she's not so worried about being dropped, having the dumpster crash against her doesn't sound terribly appealing. Not that she really thinks Mary would let that happen, but she doesn't want to make it an easy mistake to make!

Franklin Richards has posed:
From inside Franklin replies.. "Maybe after maybe a dozen showers." as the thing is lifted. "What the heck! I think something is wrong with me. It was that witch lady I know it!" he sighs, as he looks down at himself. Walking house he thought it was cool, but no he was too old to see it. "I can't use my powers, it all seems to go wrong." he looks at the situation and laughs, "I mean more then usual." and then bangs lightly on the side of the dumpster. "It might be a curse.. Do you have anything like that at the base? Or am I just stuck like this."

He looks down a bit. "Also.. You might want to hury. I think when the thing was dragging." the botom of the metal container peels open a bit, and all the liquid and trash that isn't in sacks that can fit starts falling out raining on any people or places below. Franklin says, "Comon.. That is cheating it doesn't even work like that!" holding onto the sides now so he doesn't fall out.

From inside Franklin speaks up, "Marie... You out there too? Hi! Sorry bout this. You wouldn't happen to know someone practicing magic would you?"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary ughs and rotates the dumpster so the refuse, and Franklin, doesn't fall out. "Okay, let's get you back to the Rock for now, at least until we can figure out what's going on. I'm not an expert on curses, but it should be a safe place for you until we can get this cured." With that, she flies off to find an obscure point to get to the Rock.

While she could go directly with herself, riding the lightning isn't exactly the best way to travel when she has passengers...
