A Long Dark Teatime of the Soul

Synopsis:	Nettie pwns Shazam and Pixie when things turn heated.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam has the stamina of Atlas. True. But he has a human mind and that does need a little rest and for once it caught up with the Defender of Magis. the Champion is asleep in his throne, a huge empty bag of corn chips at his feet (Shazams don't get fat). Steve the Stylus lays on his chest, which... long story. Suffice to say Steve had aan attack of conscience before drawing stuff on Billy's face.

Little known trivia: a snoring Shazam is really loud, especially in a stone echo chamber. At least this Captain of Shazams is.

Nettie Crowe has posed:
    And Nettie was just about to pop over to the Rock to check on Billy, like a good neighbor... mentor... stand-in part-time wizard type of person she is. She has her gray hair pinned back in a clip that (what a coincidence!) looks like a crow with spread wings, and is naturally accompanied by her crow, Corvax.

    "-- and that's when the spell gets broken?" Corvax asks in confusion, "When he marries another woman and the girl who turned into a flower just up and dies? Those brothers are almost as bad as Anderson."

    "Yeah, there's a reason why Disney hasn't delved deeply into Grimm's for a while. Can you imagine them doing The Goose Girl?"

    "With the talkin' horse's head? Huh. How do they make a broadway musical outta that?"

    And Nettie pauses, and holds a hand out for her tag-along to stop as she registers the loud grinding, sawing of logs.

    "... think we came at a bad time."

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn is always eager for new lessons from Nettie and since she's pretty mysterious but powerful and wise, she has learned not to question her motives. She does however have other questions because she's more curious than any cat. "Soooo what're we doing today, Nettie? Hopefully something exciting and action packed right?" she asks brightly, although her smile fades at the sight of a sleeping..Shazam. "Uhh...WHY are we visiting this troublemaker? Is he up to no good again?"

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam does have sharp ears. Pixie's comment is spoken during a lull in the snores. Also Steve helpfully prods Billy to wake him up. Shazam sits up with a jerk. He smiles at Nettie, then he spots Pixie and he peers suspiciously. Shazam rises from the throne and walks slowly to the pair, watching Megan carefully. He says accusingly, "You. Who invited you here? I don't care much for the Juggernaut or those who side with him. You let him escape..." he leaves "after he punched me in the nuts!" unsaid. However, Steve is on the job and writes, "After he punched Shazam in the nuts." Followed by, "Did Broom come?"

Nettie Crowe has posed:
    "Was checking up on him in order to see if a curse left any lasting effects. Wouldn't do to have one of the wee guardians of magic cursed and suddenly taken over now, would it? Decently sure if the lad were to be mad enough he could take down Superman." Nettie states to Megan, and then she pauses as Shazam snorts himself awake (with Steve's help), and glances between Pixie, and then to Shazam, and then to Steve, who helpfully adds on to the story. And she tries not to laugh, covering up her amusement with a stiff lip and a dry cough before she clears her throat.

    "Broom stayed home this once, Steve, but I shall pass that you said hello. And I would expect her to preserve The Juggernaut."

    NEttie takes a deep breath, and then holds her hands open. "He's on my payroll, after all."

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn blinks at Nettie, "Wha, someone cursed him? Whyy..Oh." she makes a face, "Don't tell me, he was causing trouble again.." She rolls her eyes, glaring back at Shazam as he stirs, and shrugs, "Oh he and Juggernaut were tearing up the city, I had to do something to stop any bystanders from getting hurt, he's just...."

She blinks at the apparent reverence Nettie gives him and then.."Wait what? Did you say one of the Guardians of magic? Him?!" she asks incredulously as if the mere thought is the craziest thing she ever heard.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam has worked hard to curb his temper, his impulsive nature. <<Slap her!>> Hercules suggests. Achilles scolds, <<The woman is a wise counsel and friend and seriously bro, she's 98 lbs wringing wet with her pockets full of change. Check thyself! And remember what happened when you got rough with Hippolyta!>> Billy pushes the voices far back.

"Nettie, I helped you in Tibet and I understand why your people fought the way they did. I understand that I do have the gifts of Invulnerability and Strength from the gods. But, Juggernaut has those gifts and he is a dangerous and violent man. He might be deranged. Who walks down a street carrying a bank? He did and I tried to stop him. It was the fight of my life and he got away. The second time we met, he threw a flipping cement mixer at my head. I was holding a cat!" Deep breath.

"I took that fight to an abandoned industrial park, there was no ripping up the city and no bystanders. I was going to catch him until."

He turns to Pixie, "I don't make trouble. I try helping people, and try to put crroks like him in jail -before they kill someone." He puffs his chest out a little and leans closer to Megan. And stoops a bit.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn glowers at Shazam, and she may be a feather weight compared to him but she knows how to fight smarter if not harder. "I get it, Juggernaut is a menace, but you have no control either, you're no better than him!" she glances over her shoulder at Nettie, "I hope you're not believing him over me? He acts like a kid!"

Back to Shazam she folds her arms, "I dunno what happened between you two but I couldn't let your fight break out into the public. After you went flying into the streets, Juggy was gonna chase. you down and hurt more people. And don't think I didn't lecture him after! I got my eye on him too.."

Nettie Crowe has posed:
    That's when Nettie reaches up with speed that might be supernatural, and grabs at a pair of ears like they're less powerful magicians and more angry children -- which weirdly the venn diagram overlap on those is pretty big."Rash decisions make for dead mages, duckies. Don't lose your heads." Nettie states softly to Megan.

    And then to Shazam:

    "I sometimes do not have the luxury of choosing who is and is not in the Justice League Dark. There's a reason why we don't have tee shirts with our names on them. Juggernaught is a mercenary, the same as my former student Tynan. I shelter those who need it and who can be of use. Not everyone is going to be as easy to push over as a loose militant group. And not everyone has as caring a family as you." and she looks to Megan "Or a school, as you do." she states, and then looks between the both of them, and she shakes her head to release them both.

    "He's a friend of Miss Kinney's, and should he present a larger issue than he promotes, I'll --" she trails off, and then waves her hands in the air "Trap him in a bottle like an exceptionally angry djinni or somthing."

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam :bites his tongue before speaking. "I haven't said one word against you. You've done nothing but insult me since you got here. And what happened was he was robbing a flipping bank! And I did community service to repair the damage I did! Where was your hero, Juggy. And I was not running away! And your friend got off lightly!" A subtle change in manner comes over Shazam. He glances at Nettie.

"Nettie, you should explain to her that she is a guest here. As host I have obligations to her. She has obligations as a guest as well. there are repercussions for such things."

He takes Nettie's hand off his ear. "Thank you for explaining the situation to me. If you can turn Juggernaut to good, more power to you. I will respect your right to try. Besides, I think you'd do a better job than most keeping him out of trouble."

Nettie Crowe has posed:
    "I figured I shouldn't have to explain, considering who she has studied under, the rules of hospitality. Though fae are a good deal more chaotic than what I generally work with as far as Otherkind." Nettie gives a sniff.

    "But he's got a point. You're a guest, and we all should be watching our tempers. Should Zeus require anything in apology for her poor behavior, as her supervisor I suppose it is up to me to offer." Nettie states, and she folds her hands quite seriously in front of her, and the crow at her shoulder looks in a PANIC from Shazam, to Nettie, to Megan.

    "But for now, perhaps she should head back to the Candle and think upon her actions."

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn arches a brow, "I never insulted you, listen to Nettie, she knows best! Plus he started it, I never threatened him once! I only tried to explain the situation, I'm well aware of rules of hospitality.." she frowns, clearly annoyed. "Anyhoo.." she's about to say more but her phone suddenly rings, blinking, "Ack I gotta take this, see you later, Nettie." Shazam is just given a glare as she hurries off.
