Synopsis: What happens to idiots that try to sell stolen Vibranium?

The same thing that happens to everything else!

Cast of Characters: T'Challa, Sioned ya Jua, Caleb Dykstra

T'Challa has posed:
How do some punk kids get their hands on even a single rock of Vibranium. Well, maybe they are not punk kids so much as they are some young adults that knew a guy that knew a guy that knew a guy that said they had something worth a lot of cash. And it's through those same channels that some of the Wakandans that keep their ears to the streets find out these things as well. All of which leading to this operation right here and right now.

Meeting in a public location such as this should not arouse too much suspicion. These six punk young adults are waiting near their horrible looking van and absolutely looking suspicious but it's fine. They aren't doing much of anything but standing around and occasionally headbutting each other. They are, of course, waiting on The Buyer for this here particular item that they no longer want. Also, it's worth a ton of cash and that's always top priority.

From above on a nearby rooftop. a crouched individual in a black Panther Habit is watching. Waiting for the right moment to make his presence known and get back the property that so belongs to his land and his people. He may also be waiting to see exactly who this Buyer is so that he may track them as well. There are many things going on in the mind of the Black Panther in this moment of watching and waiting.

Sioned ya Jua has posed:
Sioned ya Jua was just in the area getting some grocery shopping done when she got a strange alert on the bracelet on her wrist. It announced, <<Vibranium detected,>> quietly in the Wakandan tongue. Strange. She steps outside and grumbles as she only sees a sliver of light left. She dare not embrace the light, for it's almost gone, so has a map created to track down the signal. Curious, the young woman heads in that direction. It's not far. She isn't sure what she's witnessing, but like any true Wakandan, she is protective of the national treasure. She's also getting a strange blip of a second vibranium signature, but it's barely coherent. Could just be garbage data, but you never know.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb walks the street, coming in with a duffle bag full of scrap materials for some school projects of his back at Happy Harbor High School. He made a good deal today at the nearest scrapyard, so he's happy.

That look of happiness drops when he finds a number of shady guys out in the open, which he's soon to cross paths with.

"Crap..."

He ponders walking towards the other side of the street for a moment. But, if it seems like they're not paying him any mind, he'll keep going forward. Gothamites be made of sterner stuff, after all.

T'Challa has posed:
The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon Squad (working gang name) are barely paying attention to their surroundings. They are mostly just hanging out, or at the very least looking as though they are hanging out, while none of them actually look like they are carrying Vibranium. So they are either really good at this or really stupid.

Which one has your vote?

At any rate, the Keven Baconites (working gang name) are focused on each other at the moment and are thus not paying attention to anyone in the area that may be doing a bit of strolling or walking. Though, maybe one or two of them shoot some dirty 'keep walking' looks iin the direction of both Caleb and Sioned. Just in case.

Kimoyo tech in the area will be getting some pings from the van itself. Somewhere in there is the Vibranium. Which might explain why none of these losers are too far away from their legally parked vehicle. One of them checks their watch.

T'Challa watches all of this from his space up above and also sets his Panther Vision (it's a thing!) to scanning these idiots and their van. A precise location of the Virbanium is very much needed.

Sioned ya Jua has posed:
Sioned ya Jua sighs softly as she so wishes the sun didn't just set. Some of her skills are handicapped without it - but the moon is rising so there's that. She glances towards it as she realizes she was seen. Damnit, her stealth lessons were not going well - she has to start practicing again. She realizes the van has the signal. She isn't sure what to do - just waiting for the moon to rise, or something to happen. She isn't really a warrior - but she does know how to defend herself if needed.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
And Caleb keeps walking, clutching his duffle bag. His 'Gotham sense' (it should be a thing) is ringing out that trouble is brewing. Those guys are out on the street, clearly people who'd be up to no good... and they're not causing trouble - could they be here with a purpose?

As casually as he can muster, he glances at the group, then another glance at Sioned, then a glance around for any other party about to join...

T'Challa has posed:
"Keep movin'!"
"Yeah, nothin' to see here!"
"We ain't waitin' on no one!"
"Idiot!"
"What?!"
"Now they know we waitin' on someone!"
"Nooooo. I said we /ain't/!"

So as these idiots get to arguing amongst themselves, a way too expensive vehicle rolls up, slows down, maybe even notices the commotion amongst the Not-So-Sinister Six (working gang name) and then almost immediately starts to pull off. There's too much at stake to be caught up in such tomfoolery!

As the expensive ride attempts to make a fast getaway, the arrival of the Black Panther happens with little to no fanfare. The suited hero lands in a catlike crouch in the middle of the street. As he draws attention towards his landing, a small disc smacks onto the van and sticks.

Black Panther rises and looks directly at Sioned. "<Secure the van>." is ordered in Wakandan before he takes off after the rich vehicle that is speeding away! His suit must've picked up on the Kimoyo beds in the area.

Squeal Team 6 (working gang name) have stopped arguing and turned their attention from the (fleeing?) Black Panther and towards both Sioned and Caleb.

"You ruined our deal!"
"Yeah!"
"You're dead meat!"

Annnnd cue the predatory stomping in their directions.

Sioned ya Jua has posed:
Sioned ya Jua widens her eyes as she suddenly sees Black Panther himself! She saw his coronation - but it's been forever since she was near him. A bit awestruck, she snapped out of it when he gives her a command to secure the van. Easy enough. <<Yes, sir,>> she replies back through the Kimoyo beads to her sovereign. She gestures as a wall of fire erupts from the ground between the Pansy Possee (working gang title) and their Whambulance (working vehicle title) as she hurries over to it, creating a ring of fire around it and herself. She has yet to test her skills in battle - she hopes this isn't the day.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Yup... All that talk confirms his suspitions.

The Brain Cell-Sharing Six Pack (working gang title) monologue (yeah, that's just one intelligence for six guys, what do you expect?) make Caleb frown, and turn his back on them. "Some of the world's greatest thinkers, they are..."

And that's when all hell breaks loose! (See? It never fails) Caleb blinks and just about chindrops when he sees an actual Avenger coming down from the roof and dropping in the middle of the street. It's not like he wasn't suspecting something was about to go down, but... An Avenger?

He takes a deep breath when they start their stomping march, and shakes his head. "Nope. I actually wasn't with them. But, since you begged for trouble..." He pulls out a few pieces of scrap from the duffle bag, and throws them at their stomping legs to halt their advance, or at least slow them down. Or maybe even trip them.

T'Challa has posed:
The Van Dyke (working vehicle title) is surrounded by flames and the Idiot Savants (working gang title) all freak out a the site of brand new fire out of nowhere. Then there's metal flying at them and while they all start to scatter to try and run from the, those legs of theirs are caught up and the tripping happens with way too much ease. They pretty much fall over each other trying to escape -- and somehow the pile ends up knocking each other out.
R
REasy.

As for T'Challa, he's chasing down the expensive car a few blocks over. The clean up on this is going to be fairly easy. Especially considering that this area will soon be flooded by Dora Milaje that are on their way to secure this location and the would-be Vibranium dealers.
