Cast of Characters: Kitty Pryde, Wilson Fisk, Roberto da Costa, Douglas Ramsey

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty finished up work at Stark Tower and headed down the street to meet a friend. Only a short distance along her way, she got a text that they can't make it. "Well, bother," Kitty says at reading the text. She taps in a message and sends it out to some of her friends instead.

>Just had a friend cancel. I'm on my way to Rise and Grind in Manhattan if anyone is free and wants to join me.

Roberto and Doug are on her text distribution list. Her old boss Wilson Fisk is not, she hasn't talked to him in a year or so probably.

Kitty continues on, heading into the coffee shop. She's wearing grey slacks with flared bottoms and black boots, and a matching jacket with a white blouse beneath.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
What more is there to life than Rise and Grinding in the city that never sleeps, that is what brings the massive man down into the city today. In a tailored suit, slowly he pushes open the door moving into it with that walk of a man that is winning, his eyes scanning the crowd giving that dipping of his head towards anyone brave or dumb enough to make eye contact. "Is my Latte ready Betty?" He walks towards the counter handing over a bill way too large for such a simple drink, taking it in his massive hand to sip it as he spots Kitty. "Hello Miss Pride, it has been a dogs age or three, how have you been?" Wilson Fisk takes another long sip of his latte. "I need your help when you have time, those systems have been well have been compromised, not sure the attacker but they got deep into my network. When will you be free? I only trust you to fix such things, if you are able."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto Da Costa is dressed fairly casually, in slacks and a zipper up sweater with a button short underneath, the ensemble tends into blues and greens with the pants being a grey that carries the other colors. He looks good and just warm enough for the breezy weather. He is looking up at the twilight sky where what to the unaided eyes seems a shooting star is just starting to fade, a rarity for the light polluted city skies but not wholly unusual.

"And there goes the good ship 'Thistledown' on it way to aid the good people of Shi'ar colony world Umbravio." He sighs, "Only three hours late after the inspection, a new record." Roberto shrugs, "Saving one world isn't enough anymore, remember the good old days?"

Douglas Ramsey has posed:
Doug is drinking a black coffee - today isn't one of his cheat days, and he lacks the kind of Mutant power that sops up excess calories - like pretty much every single other mutant has. But the metabolically-perfected diet does help. Even if most of his meals are actually just a nutrient and protein shake and side of vegetables, at least they taste pretty good.

He sips his coffee and looks between the two; then he looks up at Fisk - Mister Fisk - and is momentarily taken back at the sheer scale of the man. "...It's been a long time since I saved anything more dire than an analytics report, Beto." Doug says, before he sets his coffee down. "That seems to be the angle of our lives. You save worlds; I save reports."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The massive size of Wilson Fisk makes it difficult to not spot him in there. Kitty's face lights up and she goes over to him, though not without giving a smile and nod to Doug and Roberto both. "Mr. Fisk. Wonderful to see you again," she says, before falling silent to listen to his mention of the issues they have been having.

"Well, I'm working at Stark Industries now, but I actually only work 4 days a week. Long as it isn't anything conflicting, which helping with a security analysis wouldn't be, I'd be happy to come back on off day to help for a bit," she says.

Kitty puts in an order for a chocolate-filled pastry, and an iced latte. "Mr. Fisk, this is my friend Doug Ramsey. And this is Roberto Da Costa," she says, introducing them both.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
Wilson Fisk smiles warmly at Kitty with a nod of his head. "Good, you deserve to work at such a place as Stark Industries, your beauty and your brains will be well used there. You have gifts, dearest Kitty." His voice is friendly, than he turns to look over at Doug and than at Roberto. "Good day Gentleman, I'm Wilson Fisk, as she has stated any friend of Miss Pride, is a friend of mine." He lifts that latte once more pinky out of course, as he sips it quietly. "I do hope saving the world and numbers, is not too taxing on both of you. Such work is for the gifted and the ones truly blessed of power and stout hearts. I lack both of these, but our city needs such folks, nay the world."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles and sips his own coffee drink, one of those froo froo beverages with chocolate sauce and whipped cream and milk froth and sprinkles maybe a cupcake, who can tell. Yes, he does have one of /those/ powers thank you very much. "True but some of those reports have saved the day Doug, never sell yourself short. I couldn't do this without your abilities."

vHe offers Kitty a gentle hug, his body is extra warm as he embraces her. And turns to Kingpin with a nod and raising of his cup, "We each do what we can, great power craves great responsibility or something like that. It's nice to meet you Mr. Fisk, I've told Ms. Pryde anytime she wants to open her own concern I'd have her staked in a picosecond."

Douglas Ramsey has posed:
Doug raises an eyebrow, "That's true, but sometimes I wish I wasn't the guy working on things from the back end, you know? I guess I always dreamed of a more swashbuckling life." He raises his coffee to his lips as he looks back and forth from person to person. "But in this day and age I can't even get a date; my last one told me my images on the dating site made me look like a systems analyst, and I told her 'I AM a systems analyst' and then she said she only dated men six feet tall and over."
Doug glances over at Wilson Fisk, and says, "Well, other than eye strain sir, I manage. Douglas Ramsey. Currently working as a Systems Analyst for Worthington Enterprises, and as a freelancer for Mister da Costa here specifically, off the books."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde smiles at the compliment from Wilson Fisk. "Thank you," she says, and then as the men greet each other, Kitty gets her coffee and croissant. She returns the hug to Roberto, being careful not to spill, and then moving over to take a seat with Doug, and to motion to the others to join them if they like.

"Doug is an exceptional systems analyst," she says. "And Doug, any girl who doesn't want to date you is an idiot. You should put some gifs of your dance moves on there," she suggests.

Roberto's comment gets a smile from her. "I don't think I want to get into what it takes to run a business. It's enough to do the technical work. That's what I love. And getting to work on some truly cutting edge stuff where I'm at." Not that the X-men didn't afford her that opportunity. But a different set of tech.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
Wilson Fisk looks over at Kitty with a nodding of his head as he sips the latte with that pinky still out, so dainty for such a large man. "It is only the truth, I speak not a lie for a lie makes one a cad and I'm not a cad." His voice is friendly teasing the girl, as he looks over at Doug. "Good, I have found to find woman one needs to go out into the world, to show them your swagger as you kids call it right, the RIZZ, not this social media Bullshit. Pardon my words, but that is a fake world show them the power of you Doug." He turns to look at Roberto now, with a nod of his head thinking on the man for a long moment, the best for last. "That is a good line, I like it did you come it up with it yourself? But, not all have the guts to run some have the skills to help, both are to be supported int his world. For we need all hands to stir the stew, to make it perfect as my grandmother use to say."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles brightly and nods, "Yes, Doug. You should let us take a look at profile. I'm sure we could help you polish it up. Only date people over six feet? That's absurd." He sits up a little straighter.

Roberto raise shis eyebrows at the question, "Oh, that? Just something I've heard around, I think it's on a poster at the office or something." Roberto looks form Doug to Kitty with an easy grin, "We all lead when called and support when needed. Some of us are just a little more bossy than others."

Douglas Ramsey has posed:
"I fear what you two would put into my profile if I gave you a whack at it." Doug says, before he rests his chin in his hand. "Well. I don't know. I guess I'm just dreaming of a more up-front and active role in... something." He waves a hand in a lazy circle. "Bossy's a good word for it, I suppose. Anyway, Mister Fisk, call it professional curiosity, but what sort of work would you be looking to have done?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
At Roberto's comment about some being more bossy, Kitty gives him a mock glare and points at her eyes and then at Roberto as if to say she's keeping an eye on him. The moment of mock severity gives way to a warm laugh from Kitty as Doug makes her think of what they might indeed put in his profile if they had a chance to. "Oh yes," Kitty says, steepling her fingers in classic movie villain style. "We would come up with things, Douglas."

She grins over to Roberto and then takes a bite of her croissant. "I enjoyed it, the time working at Mr. Fisk's company. Replaced a lot of the network infrastructure, vastly increased bandwidth and latency. And there are security measures in the network as well, Mr. Fisk, which probably can shed some leads into the incident."

Wilson Fisk has posed:
Wilson Fisk sips his coffee with a nod at the others, enjoying the drink for a long second his eyes closed tightly. "The little things in life, are the truest pleasures." He mutters it quietly under his breath, before once more he looks over at the Kitty. "My own folks could not solve it, so we need a genius like yourself to look, maybe this one you speak of Doug was it could help."

He thinks again for a long moment, his hand is moves to set the empty cup down on a table. "Now than, that is a good motto I shall steal it we all lead and when called and support when needed. It is a good coporate motto, unless it is in use of course?"

He turns to look at Doug. "Many things, it depends on the needs of the day. Right now, I need my security fixed and this patch up, and the hole closed and the data breached to be figured out and where it went as well."

Douglas Ramsey has posed:
Doug rubs the back of his neck, and then says, "Well, the problem is, Mister Fisk, my work for Worthington Enterprises precludes me working in any large-scale capacity with another company's sensitive systems; that's for both ther security benefit and yours. Not that I would give one company compromising security info for another; the level I'm working at for Mr. Worthington means that I'd want to limit my involvement with your systems. However, I could do some looking into the data breach itself and see if I can't track down the identity of the data thieves. Kitty would do a world-class job with closing any security holes in your systems, for sure."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde tells Wilson Fisk, "Doug and I went to school together, as did Roberto. And we spent a lot of time on our computers, he's quite outstanding as well." She gives a small nod as Doug mentions the limits he'd have while he's under contract with Worthington Industries, taking the moment to fit in another bite of the croissant. They heated it up so the chocolate inside is nice and melty.

"Doug, I can take a look, see if I can identify it square away. If I need your level of analysis I could bring you in on it, with Mr. Fisk's permission," Kitty offers.

She looks to Wilson Fisk to see if that would be acceptable.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
Wilson Fisk looks over at Doug with a nod of his head. "Sounds fair enough, what is your rate?" He takes out his note pad slowly, opening it bringing out his checkbook, next is a pen as he looks right at Doug. "Do tell me, how much you will be charging me, I know Miss Prides rates unless those have changed in the time since we have parted ways Miss Pride?"

Waits for the answers, tha nhe looks over at Kitty with a little chuckle. "That sounds lovely, just tell me where to send the badges, once you tell me those rates?" He taps his cheekbook with his pen now, waiting the magic numbers.

Douglas Ramsey has posed:
"I'll uh." Doug says, "I'll just write it down-" He jots down a note. Warren Worthington pays him very, very well, which is obvious once he slides it over to Fisk; but it's nothing that the Kingpin can't afford to pay.

"Ideally I won't even need to set foot on your property, sir." Doug says, "Since I'll be doing all my work entirely online."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
"We're used to handling sensitive information. Full encryption and security, etc," Kitty says to add more information on that for Wilson Fisk.

She doesn't try to look and see what Doug's number was on the paper, instead taking a long sip from her latte. "Other than the incident, how is business going for you, Mr. Fisk? And the rest of your life as well?" she asks him. "I hope that life has been kind to you since I last saw you?"

Wilson Fisk has posed:
Wilson Fisk nods slowly his pen is finding the paper, as he passes it back to Doug paid if full now, the number is a bit higher than the normal. His pen is finds the paper once more, as he passes a cheek this time to Kitty. "Busy, losing that mayor race made me focus more on my own company, but I will be running again soon." His voice is booms out with a wink at her. "I do hope you will support my run, now than I shall get going I have a meeting shortly. It was a pleasure to see you again Miss Pride, Mr Ramsey. Be well."

Douglas Ramsey has posed:
"Pleasure meeting you, Mister Fisk." Doug says, offering a firm handshake, even though his hand disappears in the larger man's. He looks down at the check, and then back up - before he discretely folds it and puts it away. This shouldn't be anything too difficult for him. He offers a small smile. "I'll get started on this right away, and I'll see to it you get your money's worth."
