Cast of Characters: Diana Prince, Arisia Rrab, Kyle Rayner

Diana Prince has posed:
Following the events at the Atlantic Starport, Diana had finally returned to her home in Manhattan. The Themysciran Embassy...

Situated in her office, she's been dealing with calls and online meetings all day, but mostly just generally keeping to herself in-between those dealings.

Dressed in business casual, a black blazer, slacks and her hair tied back in a loose ponytail, the Amazon Princess was awaiting another pre-planned meeting.

When the Lanterns would arrive, they'd be greeted by her assistants in the main foyer, and escorted back to Diana's office off of the central courtyard of the Embassy, and its museum-like aesthetic of ancient Greece, and Themysciran art and culture.

In her office, Diana stands beside her desk, having just hung up her phone, she's staring down at its display, with the sunlight filtering through the western windows on to her office, and across her form as she taps out a text with her thumb gracing over the screen.

Arisia Rrab has posed:
Arisia and Kyle arrive together, but a phone call interrupts and has Kyle heading off to one side to deal with that before joining them in Diana's office. While he stays in the main area of the embassy, Arisia follows the Amazon's assistant back to the office. She's back into her 'official uniform' of white and green, and looking far bettr than she did after the Starport incident and the resulting near-death experience.

When shown into the office, she offers a quick smile to Diana but doesn't intrude on her personal space, staying a few feet back, "Your Highness. My apologies for any.. issues.. I may have caused last time." She glances around the office, looking for all the world like an awkward teenager in that moment.

"I'm concerned. Not just for the refugees, but also for what seemed to be a lot of separate incidents that now seem to be.. perhaps less coincidentally timed than initially thought. I don't.. know.. very much of it at all. The Guardians weren't very forthcoming when they sent me here. I'm hoping you might be able to tell me more." She lifts a small shrug, "I want to help."

Diana Prince has posed:
With the text sent, and Arisia present now, Diana sets her phone down upon her desk's surface, as she is one to provide her full attention to those she is meeting with. She looks toward the Lantern, and affords her a soft smile in greeting. At hearing what Arisia states, Diana is quick to shake her head, causing her dark ponytail to gently sway behind her shoulders. "you have nothing to apologize for." She tells her. "Your presence was only a boon to the ability for my people to react in a way to reduce tensions, and see to a peaceful resolution. I... wish other's presences had been similar in that regard, but not every situation yields such positive elements."

She steps away from her desk, and motions toward the seating area just in front of it, where a collection of leather furniture resides. "Would you like to sit?" She asks. "And I'd be happy to get you a drink, if you are parched." She notes of the small kitchenette in the far corner of her well decorated office, which includes her weapons and armor mounted inside of a niche in the bookshelves, illuminated from above by a few small yellow spotlights.

Arisia Rrab has posed:
"I have to say, it was not something I expected to be doing, but.. neither the refugees nor the civilians should ever have been put in that position. Those governments have no right to detain the refugees, and they certainly had no right to endanger their own civilian population. I was only too glad to help," Arisia states with a smile for Diana. She motions in the general direction of the moon, "I'm just glad that we were able to get them to safety."

Nodding, she moves to take the offered seat and asks, "Could I ask for a bottle of water, please?" Settling herself, she offers, "If possible, I'm going to see if the Earth-based Lanterns and myself can start putting together something to start rehoming some of the refugees in other sectors.. places that may be a little less chaotic. It would be a long-term project, however, the ships they arrived in are in no condition currently to be making trips at faster than light speeds."

Diana Prince has posed:
diana pulls two bottles of water out of a small fridge built in to the cabinets at the kitchenette area. She starts back toward where Arisia has chosen to sit, and she chooses a seat across from her. Settling down on the edge of a leather sofa, Diana offers Arisia both bottles of water, one likely for her partner when he is able to arrive. "Not much about the situation has been ideal." Diana admits calmly, her natural husky voice laced with her native Themysciran accent. She drops her hands down to her knees, where she gracefully interlaces her fingers together, her back straight and her attention on Arisia.

"I am glad at the outcome for the refugees to find themselves up on the Watchtower for the time being, and I would like to look in to large scale repairs for their vehicles. However, their technology is a bit beyond what we are designed to work with, and it might require a fair bit of help from those who are more accustomed to traveling outside of the Sol System... Which is to say, we need to find a way to bring replacement parts, and those who know how to install them... Mm, it is all very complicated."

She draws in a light breath, and glances to her left toward her desk, and to the windows beyond it that look out on to the courtyard where the sun shines.

"But, all in all, things could have gone worse. Much worse...." She states in a softer tone, as she looks back to the Lantern across from her. "You did help, though, so know that my thanks are given to you for that."

Arisia Rrab has posed:
Taking the bottles with a smile of thanks, Arisia sets one aside and opens the other, sippiing on the chilled water while Diana outlines what she'd like to see happen for the refugees. Nodding, she offers, "And that's where I think the Green Lantern Corps could be of assistance. We can make the trips to get the parts. There might even be people on Earth that can help with repairs, and if not, we can help to bring people that can. But again, that would be a more long-term plan. For now.. they're safe at least. And we can help to repair the structural integrity of the ships, make sure basic systems like life support are working."

Nodding in agreement, Arisia murmurs, "That giant robot there at the end.. it could have ended so much worse. As for how the more... assertive.. leaders acted. They gave us the time we needed to evacuate everyone, so I can't be too upset over their actions. I could have wished for a more peaceful resolution, but I don't think those government groups were going to let that happen. They wanted a fight. They wanted aggressive actions."

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle gets Arisia's message about where she's going. And he's a little late due to various reasons. He's a streak of green energy. Before long he starts to lower down at the Themyscira embassy. Once he lands, he'll put up both hands. In one of the hands is his Justice League membership. "A colleague of mine is here. And it's not every day you get invited to the great Themyscira," he says respecting the sovereign land agreement that accompanies all embassies. He just waits for people to eventually wave him through. The last thing he wants is a very big group of angry amazons.

Diana Prince has posed:
Within the main foyer, the assistants to Diana are ready for Kyle's arrival, and are quick to offer him kind words of greeting, and a quick indication of which to follow whom to the depths of the Themysciran Embassy. There, Kyle is soon to find himself at the door to Diana's office, where she is seated across from Arisia at a selection of leather furniture. Diana looks up toward Kyle, showing him a warm expression as she stands up, and motions for him to come in. "Please, join us." She states in a soft tone of her husky voice. "I was just speaking on the matters at hand with Arisia."

She'll come to sit again, and with a slight exhale, she will nod to the other Lantern to whom she'd been addressing before. "They seek power," Diana says with a bit of weight upon her tone. "They desire to control the influence that the widely respected super heroes of this world hold with the people of their countries. They dislike our popularity, and dislike that we may show even a measure of territorial control, such as the Starport, and what it was offering to the planet as a whole. Which is to say, it being the first leaping stone in to space, permanently, that Earth has truly accomplished on a unified front. Without it providing their pockets with additional riches, they could not stand to see it succeed."

She smiles softly. "But, you might be getting a slightly cynical take from me on this topic, following everything I have been dealing with regard to it."

Arisia Rrab has posed:
Looking up when Kyle arrives, Arisia offers a warm smile, motioning him over to join her. "Kyle! Come, sit. We were just discussing what happened at the Starport and why." She offers him the second water bottle that Diana had given her before looking back to the Themysciran Princess with a nod.

"I suspected it might be something like that. They need you to fail so they can succeed. Typical, from what I've been reading of Earth politics. And often at the expense of the people, it would seem." Clearing her throat, Arisia smiles faintly, "I've been looking into it after what happened at the Starport. What sort of legal right they may have had for it." Then she asks, "Is there a chance that what happened with the refugees is attached to what happened to the Corps? Something is causing mass destruction..."

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle smiles at Diana, a little taken back by that. It's one of the big named heroes. Standing in their presence still feels odd for Kyle. Still, he pushes onward and finds a seat near Arisia. "Do we know why it happened?" Kyle's trying to get his intel straight. "I've heard of the incidents. I've done more work with New Krypton lately, so forget my ignorance," he admits. Alura called Lanterns and he was the only Lantern about.

"And thank you both for having me. Between the two of you, I see why the war of Troy happened," he tries to compliment them.

Diana Prince has posed:
"After we discovered the ... mass casualty of Lanterns, along with Hal's assistance, we visited Oa." Diana explains to Arisia, with a small shake of her head following. "They did not seem eager to share much information with us, but I understand it. We are outsiders, and there-by cannot be fully trusted by their leaders. We simply made our peace, and went on our way. But, yes, I do believe that whatever is taking place beyond our star system, is connected to the refugees finding their way here. Safety is not truly a certainty until we can get to the bottom of that mystery, as well."

Seated on the edge of the leather sofa, with her fingers laced together in front of her knees, Diana shows a soft smile to Kyle for his compliment. "I am glad you are here to help as well. I was just telling Arisia, that we hope to establish some manner of trade lines with distant star systems, so long as they can provide us with the tech, and services to help get the refugee starships in better working condition. I am not eager to send them on their way, but I am eager for their starships to be in a better state of condition. I feel it is only prudent for their ships to be in as ship-shape as possible," She states, showing a small smirk at herself.

With a shake of her head, she lets out a slight exhale. "If we do manage to come to a safer place with the mystery of what brought them here, and are able to restore their vessels to better working order.. I do think discovering a planet that could support them, would be ideal to trying to find them a place on Earth. As you have seen, Earth is... not yet in a position to openly welcome large groups of immigrants from places so far away, and so poorly understood by the populace of Earth. Our people fear what they do not understand, and it takes them a fair amount of time to change those beliefs, if they ever change at all. We are just now dipping our toes in to the wonders of space travel, and it may be some time before we regularly leave our own star system, and ease in to the very idea of being an intergalactic species adding to the woes of the galaxy greater and beyond."

Arisia Rrab has posed:
Nodding to Diana, Arisia offers a small smile, "Well, and in that I may be of assistance. I am the Lantern for Sector 2815, which directly adjoins this Sector, 2814. I can reach out to my own people, and others within my sector. See if we can't set up some sort of aid or exchange. If nothing else, I'm sure my own people will help. It will take some time to coordinate, but we can make it happen." THe smile fades as they get back into the wider issue, and she's nodding again. "I thought as much. Whatever is happening has been attacking the sectors around this one, but it hasn't reached this sector yet."

Sipping fromt he water bottle, she frowns, then adds, "We need to try and talk to some of the survivors.. see if we can start to get an idea of what has been happening. We know it's an attack, a very powerful one, but we don't seem to have any information on what the attacker or attackers are." Pausing, she makes a moue of distaste, "Don't feel bad, they weren't forthcoming to me either, and I am here today because my uncle was killed in that attack. So it isn't just outsiders that are being kept out of the loop. I don't know how they expect me to protect my sector if they aren't going to to tell me when there's a massive threat to it."She blinks, then looks back to Diana and gives a nod, "I'm certain we can find planets suitable to them. And it's possible they may require multiple planets, depending on what their needs are. But between this sector and mine, I'm confident we'll be able to eventually find homes for all of them."

Diana Prince has posed:
"I will ask the mechanics of their ships to provide a list of needed parts, and whatever further assistance would help them repair their vessels to a more stable place." Diana quietly replies, before she spares a glance toward Kyle, and then returns her eyes to Arisia. "I believe that those on Oa, may be keeping answers from you, because they lack them to give." She states, a small shake of her head signifying her own dismay with the situation.

"But, we have been through worse, and I expect that we will find a way through these problems. The Starport is still semi-operational, and it is not damaged. If in time, we can figure out a solution for what the UN has decreed, it is possible we can still yet return to service within it. If not? Well, I have faith that they will resume the intentional design of the site, and continue to use it for what it was meant to provide for Earth."

Arisia Rrab has posed:
"Okay. I'll reach out to Graxon, see if I can get some engineers and mechanics to volunteer to make the trip to help fix the ships. If not, then there's a few others I can reach out to as well. I'll coordinate with the Earth-based Lanterns, make sure we can provide safe transport of parts and people to get those ships up and running again." Arisia is nothing if not helpful, and she knows her people. They'll want to help.

Pausing, she murmurs, "I'm not certain if it's that they don't know... or if they know the answer is that bad and are avoiding telling us. Either way, its worrisome." Either option means there's a threat that's potentially beyond the Lantern Corps to rectify.

Looking to Diana, she suggests, "If there is no way to reclaim the Spaceport... perhaps we should look at building something a little farther out. Something that's beyond the 'territory' of Earth. Like.. going into international waters to avoid the laws and regulations of a single country." Shrugging, she smiles, 'In either case, thank you for your time, Your Highness. I should go make sure everything is okay with Ion. But it was a pleasure to meet with you again and I look forward to working with you in the future." Rising up, she offers her hand for a shake, then departs with a smile.
