Late night noshing
Date of Scene: 30 April 2024
Location: Recreation Room
Synopsis: Remy is in the rec room playing Solitare. Others show up. Cards! Popcorn! Ice Cream! Awkwardness!
Cast of Characters: Remy LeBeau, Jubilation Lee, Rogue, Jean Grey

Remy LeBeau has posed:
It's late in the evening at the mansion. Most the students are asleep, as is quite a bit of the faculty. Someone who isn't asleep is the Cajun master thief Remy LeBeau, sitting at a table in the mostly dark recreation room with a bowl of freshly popped and buttered popcorn, a deck of cards, and a game of solitaire that is midway through as Remy studies the cards to see what his next move might be. As he contemplates, he reaches into the bowl to snag a kernel or two to pop into his mouth.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
The boxy shadows created from the patches of light broken by the bookcases and tables of the recreation room can sometimes play tricks, especially this time of night, when the imagination is at its most vulnerable. It's where the monsters move with impunity. It's from these shadows that Jubilation Lee emerges. The boxy, harsh edges soften and curve as the vampire teen makes herself known.

"You winning?" she wonders. Without even waiting for an answer or indication that her presence is wanted or unwanted, Jubilee flops into the chair across from Remy. She swings around so both of her legs are over one of the chair arms.

Remy LeBeau has posed:
For his credit, the Cajun doesn't start, but then the thief is used to being in the dark and skulking around. He glances over to Jube with a slight smirk on his lips as he shrugs his shoulder. "Just like life, you win some, loose some, chere. Right now? Now I'm loosin'...but dat's the t'ing about cards. Always changing with a decent shuffle."

He leans back, riffling the edges of the cards with his thumb as he looks to Jubilee, grabbing some more popcorn with the other. "Maybe I win de next time 'aound, no?"

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Jubilee's easy-going, already-has-all-the-answers smirk disappears as Remy's words manage to find their way. A blank expression forms as she gets lost in her own thoughts, stymied by the cajun's folksy wisdom. A subtle line begins to knit its way across her brow.

"Yeah, like, I mean, like, sometimes you gotta wait till right before prom before someone pulls out your ponytail..." she replies, hesitating a little before her confidence returns.

Or die before you start to live.

"This is twice now," Jubes points out. Twice now that she's found Remy hanging out by himself in the late hours. "What's the deal? You okay?"

Anything to shift the focus away from herself.

Remy LeBeau has posed:
Remy laughs, shaking his head slightly as he looks over to Jubilee with those black and red eyes, "Sadly life ain't always like a teen movie where day's all it take to turn a life around, but yeah, same principle. You get it."

He pops some more of the popcorn into his mouth and chews as he idly shuffles the cards one handed. "Me? Right as rain, mon ami. I don't mind a bit of solitarily, and dis late tends to lend itself to more quiet contemplation den when it's filled with a bunch of teens, non? I do some of my best work in the dark. 'Sides, someone's got to be up to keep you company, oui?"

Rogue has posed:
Being that it is late in the evening, most are asleep. The school year is wrapping up soon, and most students are nose deep in their studies to beef up their grades before the final hammer drops on the report cards, and the final scores are locked-in to determine young futures. But, it's a house full of a lot of people, and thus a lot of random things can take place here-in.

Case in point. Rogue appears from the double doors out toward the foyer. Dressed in a green hoodie thrown over a black tanktop, black jogging shorts, and a pair of bright yellow socks upon her feet that are stuffed in to black slippers, the Belle moves with a slightly quick shuffle on her feet. She strides right in to the room, not looking around, as she rushes toward the counter toward a cabinet near the small kitchen area.

She doesn't seem to pay any attention to who may or may not be in the room, as she starts opening one set of cabinets after another, letting her eyes roam over everything inside them before she moves on to the next!

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"I mean... It kinda is," Jubilation mutters with a bit of an agree-to-disagree sort of tone, barely more than a whisper.

Jubilee seems to relax a little, slinking deeper into her chair, as Remy's answer allows her to express herself and relieve some of that discomfort. "Oh!" she begins. "...I can't stand being by myself. It's, like, super boring. Snooze-a-rama. What's the point of cranking your music if no one's gonna yell at you to turn it down?"

She seems to be motionless, dead as a doorknob, but then... her hand smacks down on top of the table. After a series of simple gestures, she has the Rules For Playing Poker insert card held between her index and middle finger. "Hey!" Jubilation shouts in the direction of the commotion. "Rogue! You're not gonna find us over there!"

Jubilation flicks her wrist, presumably to hit Rogue with the card, but it twirls off in some random direction instead. She's no Gambit.

Remy LeBeau has posed:
Remy cocks his head slightly towards Jubilee with a little chuckle as he ponders, "I suppose it could be, if you wan' to boil t'ing down to it. Some ponytails just be harder to get out dan others." He shrugs a shoulder lightly while he continues to manipulate the cards in his hand, eyes shifting from Jube over to a certain southern belle that wanders into the room.

Remy watches her for a moment, probably no longer than a second before he looks back to Jubilee. "A lot of what I do, I do alone. You get used to it after a while. End up livin' in your own head, be your own best company." He quirks a smile, "Don' mean I don' like de company t'ough. Even solitary creatures need to socialize ever now and t'en."

Remy smirks as Jubilation throws the card, shaking his head slightly. "You need to flick de wrist more. Like dis." Remy flicks a card over towards Rogue, aiming low on the back.

Rogue has posed:
The voices over her shoulder eventually begin to register the identities of whom they belong to, and Rogue spares a look over her shoulder at the duo sitting in the dark. She smirks before she goes back to doing what she's doing. Jubilee's card didn't make it anywhere near her, Remy's hits her in the small of her back, bouncing off her hoodie and falling to the floor, she perhaps not even noticing it either.

"You two gotta turn the tv on to have a movie night, ya know?" She says in a casual tone of voice as she continues to root through three, now four, sets of cabinets, before she is up on her tip toes to peer inside the last one.

With a huff, she falls back on to her slippers, and shoots out a sharp exhale of frustration, laced with no small amount of disappointment. "God damnit." She states, finally closing the cabinet doors before turning to the island counter that had been behind her, now becoming her focus to lean forward against it, her hands resting in front of her before she reaches for a banana. "Someone took my mini Oreos..." She states in a clear tone of grim remorse.

With a grumpy air about her, Rogue begins to peel the banana, glancing down at it. "What are you two doin' anyway?" She asks with another glance toward the both of them. "You're not like... debatin' life and death in here, or something moody and angsty, are ya?"

As she raises the banana up for a bite, she notices the card on the floor, and bends down to pick it up.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"We're playing solitaire!" Jubilee answers before ruining the game's unbounded possibilities by trying to flick one, two, three, four more cards in Rogue's direction. None of them come close to reaching their target. With a little bit of a huff, Jubilation makes a vague, dismissive gesture with her hand. A small cluster of colorful explosions snap-crackle-and-pop harmlessly in the air in front of Rogue's face, as if to remind everyone of her usual routine since it's clearly not playing cards.

"We're just... hanging," Jubilation answers with a little uptick, glancing over at Remy as she says it. It comes off like her answer was actually more of a question.

"Remy was telling me about all this fun stuff he's been up to!" Jubilation adds suddenly, both eyebrows hiked as she tries to hype him up a little. "Hardly any time to be moody and angsty!"

Remy LeBeau has posed:
Remy looks to Rogue and shakes his head with a smile, "Non, chere. You know me, I rarely get angsty and moody. Not 'less I have good reason to. I ain't had reason to recently." The cajun smirks as Jubilee tosses a few more cards and reaches over, "Non. Like this." He goes to take her hand, and if she allows it he changes the way the card is held, then manipulates the wrist and hand to show her how to flick it.

He looks back to Rogue, "So...what you doing up chere? How's things? Been a while since we tal..."

There is a sudden beeping that comes from the Cajun's pocket that stops his sentence, and he removes his cell from his pocket to look at the screen. Lips purse and eyes narrow slightly as he takes in a deep breath and lets it out slowly, "'Scuse me. I need to take dis." Remy stands and starts to wander off towards the back yard, lifting his phone to his lips. "Robert..."

Rogue has posed:
When Rogue straightens up, she's holding the first card that Remy had thrown at her. She sets it down on the counter, whilst taking another bite from her banana. her green eyes rest on the duo across the room from where she is. She watches Jubilee try, and not so succeed, at throwing the cards... before the fireworks sparkling in front of her eyes just make her stare more. Her jaw works on the banana bits in her mouth, as she watches Remy show Jubilee how to throw the little playing cards, and with Remy's questions, the Belle softly shakes her head. She's about to reply to them both, when the Cajun is up and on his way out toward the patio doors.

"Guess we ain't gonna break the streak then." She quietly says, before she gathers up the card on the counter, places it between her middle two fingers, and gives it a throw that sends it twirling through the air right toward Jubilation. Seems she got the training too, once upon a time.

"Whats up in Jubilee world?" She asks the creature of the night. "Ya don't write, ya don't call... Startin' to think I offended ya, or failed some test that I wasn't aware I was taking..."

She's kidding, of course, and she'd smile, but she's back to working on her banana treat to replace them Oreos.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Jubilee is about to say something -- something probably irreverant -- but then Remy takes her hand and guides it through the motion of tossing a playing card the right way. "What are you..." The rest of the words don't come. Her brain, which has not thought a thought since the night she died, manages to shut down somehow, anyway.

She doesn't say anything else until the cajun is gone. Jubilee leans back in her chair and gives Remy a mock salute to see him off before her attention turns to Rogue. "Okay, /now/ I get it," is what she says.

"What do you mean? I'm around," Jubilation answers, confused by the question. "Just, like, on the night shift, now." She grins. "What about you? Other than Nori eating your Oreos, I guess."

Rogue has posed:
There comes a smirk from the Southern gal at the 'I get it.' element of Jubilation's response. "Yep. That's how that goes, every time." She fires back, before letting it go. With the last bite of the banana enjoyed, she moves to toss the peel in to the waste bin beneath the sink, only to find it full, which has her groan in a whole new playfield of frustration. She proceeds to begin to replace the bag, whilst glancing back over to the other sharing the room with her here in the wee hours of the dying day. "Guess that's true. I've been going to sleep pretty early for awhile. This is like... Noon for ya, I guess." She states, smirking ever so softly.

As she ties the white plastic garbage bag off, she sets it aside, and gathers up a fresh replacement from the stack under the sink.

Annoying garbage bag opening noise follows, before she begins to deposit it in to the bin.

"Nori got my Oreos?" She asks. "God. I mean, I guess it's my fault. I left them out here... But I'm gonna send her to get me more when I can catch her! I need my sugah fix."

She shuts the cabinet doors, and steps over to the small fridge to pop it open and look inside.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"Yeah, you gotta deal with that whole 'getting older' thing. Can't hang anymore," Jubes teases. "So, what, like, you woke up in the middle of the night with an Oreo-shaped hole to fill?" Jubes hesitates a beat and shrugs. "I guess, like, that's a normal shape for a hole...But still!"

"I mean, like, I get it. Sometimes, you just crave someone."

    "Something," Jubilee self-corrects.

But as far as the fate of Rogue's oreos? Well. "I don't know. Probably," Jubilation answers. She shrugs and slinks further into her chair with both legs dangling over one of the chair arms. She's doing her absolute best to avoid sitting like a normal person.

Jean Grey has posed:
Sometimes Jean follows her esoteric senses to the source of various happenings. She can pick up drama at a hundred paces, catch people who think they're being sneaky, and otherwise really just be a busybody beyond compare if she puts her mind to it. Not that she usually does, but it's one of those theoretical things...

In this case, though, it's not errant thoughts that draw her, but the unmistakable and irresistable aroma of buttered popcorn. Forget telepathy, her nose is enough to zero in on that. As for why she's up late? Well, there's always something. Fair money is on something exceedinlg depressing like 'she was still working at her desk and lost track of time,' but who knows. Maybe she was just doing laundry.

Her garb is very late-night no effort and laundry suitable, some old sweatpants, slippers, and a vintage 'Xaviers Athletics' gym t-shirt. "Smells good in here..." she announces, as she pokes her nose (and the rest of her head) in through the door, and spotting Jubilee first, raises a free-hand to finger-wiggle wave. "Up to no good, I hope?"

One assumes she's figured out Rogue is in the other room, whether by brain magic or the shouting back and forth!

Rogue has posed:
There comes a smirk from Rogue, upon hearing Jubilee's total 'mishap' of word play there. She snags a bottle of juice out of the fridge, then shuts the door closed with a 'thwomp' as its air seal does its thing. When she turns around, Jean is in the doorway to the left, but making a bee-line for Gambit's abandoned popcorn. She smirks at this, shaking her head as she twists the top off the bottle. "I was upstairs, layin down, scrollin on the tablet, when I remembered I left the damn things down here this afternoon. I was gonna snack on'em after dinner, as one does... But, oh well. I'll get that cravin' handled tomorrow, I guess. Maybe with a McFlurry instead..."

She takes a drinking swig from the bottle of juice, whilst upon her own slipper adorned feet, she shuffles over to the cards laying in random places around the floor. Scooping a couple of them up, she begins to kick the others together in to a pile.

"I was tryin' to get Jubilee to let me in on some of her schemes, and plots, but she's holdin' out on me.." Rogue explains toward Jean, now tossing one of the cards at her and that bowl of deliciously buttered popped corn.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"So, doomscrolling brought you in search of the sweet embrace of milk's favorite cookie," Jubilee summarizes. "I get it. I totally get it. Not the cookie part, but, you know. Stuff."

Jubilation smells Jean way before she sees her. Not that the headmistress smells bad or anything, but that's just what happens when you have a heightened sense of smell and haven't clocked the decades needed to really hone it. When Jean's head comes through the door, Jubilation is already looking over in her direction.

"The rumors of my misbehavior have been greatly exaggerated," Jubilation answers Jean. She even raises both hands and shows the headmistress her empty palms. "And! If you're fishing for reasons to fire me, I hate to disappoint you, but you're not gonna find any!" Jubilation answers, both eyebrows hiked up. "I've been killing it."

"Rogue. That was the /old/ me..." Jubilee protests, grinning up at Rogue from her slinked posture in the oversized, leather chair. "This is the /new/ me."

Jean Grey has posed:
"Oh, that sounds good. I wonder if it's still open. I think they're 24-hours." Forget 'tomorrow', it's never a bad time for a McFlurry!

"Just waiting on the last load to dry," she offers for herself, finally providing an answer to the clearly burning question of whether it was a late night wash or paperwork! "I threw a couple of your things in there too, since it was only half full." Such mundane salaciousness.

Jubilee's protest earns an immediate grin in response, however. "I wouldn't have given you the job if I thought you'd do any less," she declares. This is one of those annoyingly wholesome and positive Jean-isms, just a full-on assault of support, validation, and belief in her ability to do a good job. Disguisting! "Though I admit I'd be a little disappointed if you didn't at least have SOME kind of mischief going on..."

When the card comes sailing in, Jean does a little show-offy loop-de-loop with her fingertip, making the incoming projectile do a matching maneuver before twirling to land -outside- the bowl. Don't wanna get butter on those things! The other cards, all messy on the floor, start picking themselves up in a similar fashion, flying through the air to start landing on top of the sitting one, quickly making a pile.

"Always cleaning up Remy's messes..."

Rogue has posed:
As Jean makes her display with the cards, Rogue holds her drink at chin-level, observing the cards falling in to a stack together, whilst she just listens to the chatter. She smirks at the sight, takes another sip of her juice, before re-capping it and holding it down at her side. "any time I don't gotta do my own laundry is a good time." She replies to the bit about some of her stuff getting tossed in, though if anyone knows her, they know she likes laundry just fine!

A quick glance is given to Jean, then to Jubilee. "You're on the payroll now?" She asks. "Night watch?" she asks further, showing a sly grin. "If so, you should stalk around the property in black leather, and hiss at people that get close to the fence." It's possible she's being insensitive, but it's done in jest and for fun! Right?

"Glad you're pullin' in a paycheck off this place though. Means things are somewhat right in this world again."

Her eyes drift back over to Jean. "Late night McFlurry run?" She questions, lofting one dark eyebrow up in the air. "My car or yours?"

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"Jean, my mischief is on a whole other level now. I don't even know that you guys would even be able to /perceive/ it... it's, like, way, way, way up there. Like... Layers on layers and super meta and stuff!" Jubilee's enthusiasm putters out toward the end as her hype train crashes into reality.

"Okay, so, like, I've been a little busy lately..." she admits, sounding disappointed in herself, lingering in that emotional rut until Rogue reveals that she doesn't know about her new job. "What? Where have /you/ been? It was in the school newspaper and everything!" Jubilation leans forward and waves her hand through the air. "Jubilation Lee, Director of Resident Life," she announces before extending a pale, room-temperature hand for Rogue to shake if she wants to play along for the sake of the bit.

"Jokes on you. I was gonna do that anyway," she adds, smirking at Rogue's suggestion that she go outside and hiss at anyone who goes near the gate. "...And, I hate to break it to you, but I'm pretty sure the ice cream machine at McDonald's isn't gonna be working. That's not a hunch. That's science."

Jean Grey has posed:
"Well, good. I'd hate to think you weren't living up to your full potential. Scheme- or other-wise."

With the cards sorted, Jean claims the popcorn without further risk of anything weird landing in it, and starts tossing back a few puffed kernels and watching as Jubilee goes through the rather more exaggerated process of re-introducing herself to Rogue under her new and very fants-pants title. "When did we start you, at the beginning of the last semester? Or was it back in fall term?" Presumably, Jean hasn't actually forgotten, with her memory being one of those scarily impressive things about her, and this is more of a bit of a pile-on in giving Rogue 'the business' over not keeping up.

"Of course she doesn't spend a lot of time around the dorms these days, she's got coursework to prep." Seems it's been promotions all around!

As for the late night run? "Oh, I'll drive." Which presumably means her car, as well. Does she not TRUST late night McHangry Rogue driving?! Jubilee has to spoil it with a reality check, and Jean sighs. "It's less science and more of a scam. The companies that sell and service the machines are kind of a monoply on the whole thing!" She seems very passionate about this ultimately very small-picture bit of corruption. "But... usually they're only down for cleaning during the busy hours when everyone WANTS to go. We might have a shot, going in the dead of night..."

Rogue has posed:
The hand is eyed for a moment, perhaps fear of a buzzer actually being present in a palm. But, Rogue does reach out to accept it within her own hand... no gloves on either! But she's safe in the moment, save for the inevitable headache that comes with having her defenses up, headaches that only Jean knows is a thing. "Oh, right. I mean, I remember that, I just thought it was a honorary position. I didn't know it was /actually/ on the payroll." She states, shaking the hand twice before she releases it, and gives it a forward smack, followed by a backward smack, then a finishing fist bump, whether Jubilee knows how to shake like that or not! If needs be, she'll just fist bump limp fingers...

"But that's cool. Thas cool..." She states, grinning lightly before she darts over to grab a handful of popcorn. She rolls it in to the palm of her left hand, before tossing a few kernals in to her mouth with her right, her drink stowed in her hoodie pocket.

"Okay. Now I got a ravenous McFlurry cravin'. If they aren't open, or the machine is down, we'll just go to Happy Tree. It's open all night." Happy Tree being the grocery store in Salem Center, of course!

A glance is given to Jubilee. "You wanna come? We can get you... somethin' from the butcher counter?" She asks, still unsure of what Jubilee can get in a 'normal' setting, even after all these years! What a friend!

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"It's a real job, I swear. I have a comma in my paycheck and everything," Jubilee brags. "Although... I never thought my boss would turn out to be one of those McDonald's ice cream machine truthers..." That idea earns a fangy grin. To think such a thing might actually exist.

"Holy shiitake mushrooms..." Jubilee exclaims suddenly, tensing up as she realizes she held out her hand to be properly touched by Rogue. Jubilation doesn't take part in the extended back-smack-and-bump routine, instead choosing to watch and wonder. She takes her hand back and looks it over. No harm done. "I, like, totally forgot. Jeez-Louise. What was that like?" she wonders. "You know, 'cuz I'm, like, dead..."

"I gotta pass on the late night snack run. I'm not about to find out what an overnight McDonald's employee tastes like." Joke? Serious? WHO KNOWS!

Remy LeBeau has posed:
Coming back in from the outside, Remy shoves the phone back into his pocket, the glower on his face quickly masked with the normal and carefree smile the Cajun typically has plastered on his face. He pauses at the door, slightly surprised to see that not only are people still here, but that they have increased in number by a certain redhead.

"Comment ai-je ete beni par tant de beautes?" he says with a smirk and small shake of his head as he walks the rest of the way inside, one hand still fiddling with a deck of cards. "Jean." he says with a polite not to the newcomer.

Jean Grey has posed:
"Well, I don't pay her a LOT..." The time-honored tradition of exploiting the youth for unfairly compensated labor!

Jean holds out the bowl helpfully as Rogue pilfers a handful, giving it a little shake as she stands there. Gotta keep the butter from all just oozing down to the bottom. "The ice-cream machine company practices are very well-documented! Sometimes you just need to enter a simple code to reset things, but they keep them secret, so that no one can do in-store repair and you always have to pay their expensive technicians..." She's oddly well-informed on this topic!

Jubilee's reaction to Rogue is also worth a grin, and now a bit of turnabout: "She's had her power under control for a couple _years_ now. Mostly, anyway. Keep up!" Still, it seems like they've got a plan together as regards their late-night cravings. "You could just come out for a cool drive with us or something," she urges, before turning back to Rogue. "Lemme go check on the dryer, and then we can get going!"

This puts her on a trajectory back out to the hall as Remy makes a (re)appearance. "Monsieur LeBeau. Scooped up another deck of yours off the floor, it's over on the table." She nods back to where the prior game of 52-pickup has been gathered and neatly stacked up, before slipping out past and into the hall.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is pacing as she pops popcorn in to her mouth, showing a smirk toward Jubilee. "I don't broadcast it that I can do that, cause I usually don't have the... sense turned on. I'm not really sure how to describe it. It's like having a thought always on your mind... You have to actively swipe it away to make it go away too, which puts me back in the dangerous state, which is where I usually am. I don't want people thinkin' its safe to sneak up on me and just grab my hand with no gloves on. that'd still get people dropped like a bag'a rocks." She explains, her eyes dropping down to the few bits of popcorn left in her palm. "I can't leave the shield up long either, or I'll feel it up here for hours..." She's tapping on the side of her head when Remy strides back inside.

Raising her chin up, she stares over at him. Some former part of her mind considers the things she would've said to him after a mysterious phone call like that, but that's not where she is anymore. Instead, she just quietly smirks, watches Jean stride off, and nods her head after her. "I'll go out to the garage here in a minute." She says as the redhead flees.

Her eyes go back to Remy then. "What about you, Capone? You want a McFlurry?" She has to ask him, because she's curteous like that!

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"Oh..." Jubilee replies, looking down for a few seconds as she considers this important, new detail. "That's really cool." Her words do not match her tone, which lingers somewhere in the ballpark of learning big news way, way later than others. As Rogue elaborates, Jubilation's smile carries the weight of knowing all too well of the pressures being described.

"Yeah, yeah, I think I get what you're saying," she replies simply, leaving it at that and not relating it to anything in particular.

Jubilation perks up and scrunches up her face for maximum effect. "I'm gonna pass on the midnight McFlurry ride. I think you might have a good time without me... somehow." She grins a little. Not that anyone keeps track, but Jubilee hasn't left the school grounds since her return.

Jean's comment about the deck of cards brings out a little frown on Jubilee's face. "I...I threw most of those," she admits, sitting up a little in her chair. She turns to watch Remy's return as she falls on the metaphorical sword.

Remy LeBeau has posed:
Remy opens up his mouth to protest that he didn't leave any cards strewn about, but it's too late as the redhead has already left into the hall. He looks back and forth from the table to where Jean went a couple times and then shrugs as he shakes his head to make his way back over to the table.

"Seems Remy left some cards about, no?" he says as he stares between Jubilee and Rogue to try and figure out what happened in his absence, but then just shrugs as he moves to start to gather the cards. "Guess I am getting forgetful, cause I don' recall playin' a game o' 52 pickup."

He catches the stare from Rogue, quiet for a tick before he just sighs and mutters one word towards her, "Brother." It's more of an explanation than he would usually give. Not much, but it's something.

The Cajun reaches up and scratches at the stubble on his chin, looking between Jube and Rogue, then back towards where Jean left from. He looks to Jubilee as she confesses to the card tossing and winks towards her, "Don' worry, ami. I cover for you, oui? As for going for a ride with you and Jean," he says as he shifts his gaze over to Rogue, "I don' want to be a third wheel. I'll stay with Jube, be rude to just up an ditch her, non?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue finishes off the last few pieces of the popcorn she'd swiped from Remy's bowl. She shoots a quick smile over to Jubilee, before Remy approaches where he'd originally been. His response to the offers garners a little pair of nods. "Fair enough. I'll bring home a few extras though, and leave them in the fridge ie in the main kitchen. If ya wanna grab one before the kids wake up, it'll be there." She informs as she dusts her hands off, and pulls that bottle of juice out of her pocket.

"Ya'll keep a watch out for trouble, since Jubes is our Night Watch now, apparently." That is definitely not what they said her job was, but it is what Rogue is picturing it is now.

Shuffling on slippered feet, the Belle moves toward the door herself. She glances back over her shoulder, "I'll make sure Jean knows that Jubilee made the mess with the cards too." She says with a big smirk before heading back out of the room with a skip in her step, since she's going to get a tasty treat!

Jubilation Lee has posed:
"Yeah, uh, do me a favor, Rogue. Don't mention me when you two are together. Thaaaaaanks!" Jubilation replies, letting her voice ring out. She waits a few moments before looking up at Remy. She opens her mouth, as if to say something smart-assy, but then the pressure is released and the 'Jubilee' showwomanship is dropped entirely.

"Yeah, uh, I'm gonna get going.... But I dunno if tagging along with them is the move. But, hey, we've only been friends for, like, a night. Do what you want."

Jubilee rises to her feet in an especially creepy maneuver, but she can't help it. Her expression suggests some concern for Remy's well-being in this, but it's hard to tell. Vampires are a tricky bunch.

Remy LeBeau has posed:
Remy can't help himself. At first he fights it, but eventually he turns his head to look at Rogue and he keeps his eyes on Rogue as she moves for the door. The 'what ifs' written all over his face the entire time until she is gone and the Cajun lets out a soft little sigh and shake of his head as he looks to gather the cards up from the table. "Guess it's just us again, chere," he says as he turns to look to the vampire, plastering the smile back onto his face as he slips the cards into his pocket.
