Happy Harbor: Game Night (Nov 24)

Synopsis:	Game night for November goes off without a hitch!

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
November has rolled around and that means that Halloween is over...but the decorations were a monumental task of getting taken down and the 12 foot skeletons that were at the High School and outside the Community College are still up. They always got taken down last.

Inside the community college there are people gathering for the monthly game night that is hosted. The pizza delivery has just been concluded and there is enough pizza to feed a small army. Which Happy Harbor probably contained at times.

There are other drinks and snacks as well. One will not be going home hungry after the games have ended.

And speaking of games, the tables in the library have been rearranged to allow for games to be done in different areas and so that people can still interact without having to yell across the library. Morrigan is currently helping unpack paper plates and napkins for people for pizza.

Sam Wilson has posed:
Speaking of pizzas, that would be where Sam fits in. Using a chair to prop open the door of the library, the erstwhile Avenger is carrying a stack of pizzas as he heads over to where Morrigan is setting up. Offering her an affectionate smile as he gets close, he lifts the stack a little higher. "I've got pepperoni, sausage, burger, mushroom... if it's a topping, it's got a pizza! Even pineapple..." He makes a face at that showing his disapproval.

"I even got one with no cheese in case someone's lactose intolerant." he adds as he starts to set the boxes down, breezing by Morrigan to place a quick kiss on the cheek and continues on his way. "I didn't get sodas though."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Over to one table Mike is looking quite intent to the line of cards laid out before him. To one side a paper guillotine is propped up while several colorful cards are set in front of him.

"Hmm."

And then he leans forward, playing several cards. "Trip. Trip. Annnd Callous Guards."

Smiling he reaches over to pull the king card towards his stack amongst the small chorus of groans.

"Oh come on, I was in last last time around."

Gabriel Togashi has posed:
Gabriel Togashi comes in a few minutes after Sam. Seeing some tables set up for gaming and the pizzas being put out on others, he takes a step to the side and stops right at the entrance, looking around curiously to get a feel for exactly what's going on.

Nico Minoru has posed:
Boots belonging to an unknown woman thud softly as she makes her way around the library. Nico Minoru sticks out like a sore thumb, as her outfit and makeup are a stark contrast to the typical college student. Black combat boots with too many buckles clank against the floor with each step. Her corsetted dress, black with crimson undertones, flows like smoke as she moves through the room. Her jet black hair is pulled up into a chaotic, messy bun, and her makeup can only be described as 'gothic princess.'

Nico scans the room with dark eyes that hold no trace of self-consciousness. She's a goth among students, a witch wading through the mundane seas.... towards the pizza.

Without saying a word, Nico Minoru, a stranger to this school, takes a plate and helps herself to the largest slice from the pie.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Why, I do happen to like pineapple, thank you very much", is directed to the Counselor. "Helps to cut the overtaste of the greasy toppings, and even some of the fat."

Caleb is already here, and he's unpacking a board game that he sets on a round table; this is a game that seems to have never been seen before, or at least it seems completely new, with the title 'Who Goes There?'

"Anyone who's in for a social intrigue terror experience game??", he shouts, "Come on and join in!"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a grin to her husband when he comments on the pineapple, "Hey, there are some weird students that love it. Not me though." she muses to the man. The kiss makes her grin and she sets back into situating pizzas. That's when she sees Nico and there is a dip of her head to her, "Welcome." she states with a smile. She'd seen her before, but that was about a year ago.

Then there is Gabriel looking around like he's not sure where to go and the tall redhead moves that way, "Hello there." she greets. "If you'd like to play some games and get a bite to eat this is open to all." she offers to the young man.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"Well, good news. You'll have plenty of pineapple pizza." Sam offers as he helps setting out the rest of the pizzas. Catching Morrigan's greeting, he doesn't join in, instead, he moves to help a couple of kids with a Jenga tower.

For the most part, he's just blending in, chatting up students and checking on the pulse of the high schoolers in the group, making sure there's no complaints or worries.

Gabriel Togashi has posed:
Gabriel Togashi watches Nico's determined march towards the pizza before smiling in response to Morrigan's welcome. "Thank you. Pizza would be nice." Following behind Nico he waits until she's grabbed her plate then takes one of his own, grabbing a slice of burger pizza and, gasp!, a slice of pineapple. Once he's got his food he starts to walk around the tables, taking in the different games available.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Maybe after this game, Caleb." Mike replies, still smiling as he watches the next player stare at their hand. "Although you might have to give a quick explanation to the game."

Hearing the curse come from the player as they collect the Hero of the People card at the front of the queue, Mike's smile twist to a bit of devilish pleasure.

To the mention of pineapple on pizza and the discussion that goes with it, the rockstar tilts his head back. "...Did you add anything WITH the pineapple at least?"

Nico Minoru has posed:
Nico places another slice of pizza on top of the one already on her plate, shrugging over her shoulder at Gabriel who may or may not witness her doing that. No shame. In fact, when Morrigan acknowledges her, Nico raises her eyebrows a little and nods back. "Thanks, don't mind if I do," she answers.

Does she even go here?

With that settled, Nico turns to move away from the table, glances up and down at Gabriel as she passes, and starts to survey the library again. She'll need a place to sit, after all, away from the games. Games interfere with the free dinner provided by strangers.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
The table Caleb is setting has no shortage of chairs, indication that multiple can join in.

"For aid to the game, the ones wishing to play must join to this channel via your cellphones, for specific actions will be sent to me, who'll be the storyteller for the night. You can tap out at any time once the game is done." On the table, he sets a board representing a schematic for a map.

He looks at Mike, "Oh... sausage, ham, mushrooms, jalapenos...", he enumerates, "...among others." He chuckles, "You thought I would go for a plain one? In your dreams, dude."

And then, he spots the japanese goth, and points at her. "You. Goth girl. This game might just be something you'll like. Care to give it a try?"

He looks at Morrigan, "Even the staff is allowed to join."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan doesn't ask too many questions of the new folks, because things just tend to fall into place with Happy Harbor. Folks get drawn here or they are looking for someone. "If you need anything just let us know. Were you looking for someone in particular?" the Irish woman asks the younger Goth.

When she hears Caleb there is a smile, "I will pass, thank you though." she tells him.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Oh... phone requirements." Mike replies, frowning a bit as Caleb brings it up, "Sorry then. I'm out. Only got my work phone today."

He pauses as Caleb responds about the pizza, "Oh no I was asking Sam if he at least put another topping on the pizza that had the pineapple."

There's a sudden laugh from across the table which causes for Nick to look at the card set down and then to the one drawing cards.

"...Well played." Mike mutters, reaching over to toss the Callous Guards card.

Gabriel Togashi has posed:
Gabriel Togashi drifts over to Caleb's table and looks down at the map board. "So what's this all about?" he asks before putting one slice face down on the other and then saluting Nico with the pizza 'sandwich' to show she's not the only one that took two slices, perhaps to show solidarity. He then takes a bite out of it and slowly chews as he waits fror Caleb's explenation.

Sam Wilson has posed:
It seems that Sam is focused on talking to a small group of teens that have gathered around. He steps away for just a moment to grab a pencil and turns over a sheet on a Yahtzee pad to jot down some notes, his expression attentive.

Once he's done, he sets the pen and paper down as he comes over to Morrigan to share the info. "Group wanting to know about a school trip for winter break. Told them I'd have to see if the school dean is also a snow bunny." Noticing Nico, he gestures. "Looking for a seat? We have some empty tables over there. I'm Sam Wilson, high school counselor." And known Avenger, but that's not here or there. "Nice to meet you, Miss..."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"It's about trying to find who's who - or what - before time runs out", Caleb says to Gabriel. "And in the process, whatch your back, because... Well, you could die."

As Mike turns it down, he says, "You can use this one, if you like. It's a spare in case anything happens."

Looking at Sam and Mo, "What do you say, Counselor, Doctor? Feeling the mood for some post-Halloween horror?"

Nico Minoru has posed:
"Nico Minoru, incompetent witch," is Nico's answer for Sam, delivering it with a thick layer of sarcasm that makes the entire statement sound like a joke. Plus, witches aren't real, right? Not even incompetent ones. Part and parcel with the life of a runaway, even one who's old enough to be allowed to live on her own, is keeping others at a distance.

"I /was/ looking for a student here, Molly Hayes, but now I'm just looking for a seat," Nico answers Morrigan before turning away from her and heading towards the seats Sam pointed out. "Thanks," she adds as she heads that way.

Caleb gets a simple "Nope!" from Nico as she walks towards a table with no games and lots of empty seats.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Oh well. Without Sam answering the question. It will forever be a mystery on the pineapple's topping counterpart. Or at least until the musician get up and looks.

But based from him studying his cards and looking to the lineup. A brow raises before he plays another card, drawing the next purple card up to the front to some more groans from the others.

Marie's face is set down beside Louis.

As Caleb offers up a spare phone, Mike looks over to the student curiously. "...What type of game is this again?"

Gabriel Togashi has posed:
Gabriel Togashi uses a foot to pull out a chair and plops down while taking another bite of his pizza. Talent! Around the bite he says, "OK, I'm game. I'll probably be the first to die but I'm game." He sets his plate down to pull out his phone since he was paying attention and he knows he needs it.

Once he's settled in he arches an eyebrow at Nico's kinda of unfriendly reaction but says nothing, returning his attention to his table.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a nod to Nico, "Fair, Molly's been taking classes here, don't really know where she is when she's not here though." she states. "Not really helpful, apologies." she offers.

Then there is a look to Caleb, the Irish sorceress giving a smile, "I'm good, really. Thank you again." she states as she keeps making sure that empty pizza boxes and things go into the trash and folks are taken care of when they need something.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"I don't know. I've met some troublesome witches." Sam responds to Nico, casting a wink at Morrigan as he shakes his head to Caleb. "Going to sit this one out. I wanted to network with some of the students I don't usually see." he explains for his reason to pass.

As a bag of trash is filled, he gathers it up. "I'll take this out for you, Mo." he offers to his wife.
