While the Cats are Away: You Take the high road...
Date of Scene: 25 September 2020
Location: An abandoned industrial site.
Synopsis: Titans raid a Fearsome <insert number here> base and get intelligence.
Cast of Characters: Dick Grayson, America Chavez, Siobhan Smythe, Karolina Dean, Kate Bishop

Dick Grayson has posed:
Doctor Light had been able to turn over some solid evidence. Clearly he was not fond of being betrayed by those that he considered allies/minions/teammates. The problem, as he noted, was that there are two potential bases that the Fearsome Five could be using.

It had been decided that the plan would be to hit both bases simultaneously. The teams would be in a position to withdraw, if need be, and with the two locations being very close. The base in question for this particular strike team is inside the basement of an old administrative building of a steel plant that used to have a fallout shelter. The problem is, that while the plant has been mothballed for years, it is a nightmare to try and navigate. The party finds itself in front of the building's main doors. Schematics that have been pulled show window access points going up each story for three stories. There is a side door on the first floor that has a fire escape. No life forms are visible, but the extremely keen eyed might note cameras watching the area. The door itself might be old, but the chains that were wrapped around the handles lay on the floor, the padlock cut, though the rust on it shows that it had been cut long ago.

America Chavez has posed:
America was more than happy to head up the role of 'heavy hitter' with this particular squad of Titans; it was, afterall, a pretty good mix of abilities and experience. And, she looks around the area of the 'base' in question. She isn't particularly keen-eyed, so it isn't surprising that the camreas are a little beyond her notice.

Instead, she looks back at Kyle. "Hey, Green Lantern? Wanna knock?" The rather mischeviously dark grin she gives back towards Kyle is not suggestive of the 'polite' knock one might give a neighbor when asking to borrow a cup of sugar, or to see if they might help jump start your car.

America well remembers the 'knock' the Five gave them. Time for a little payback!

She stands at the ready, eyeing the windows, and doors. "This time, they aren't getting away."

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
Arriving on scene, Siobhan sucks in a slow but unsteady breath and then changes into her Silver Banshee form as they arrive. She tries her best to not immediately rush through the door and start tearing things apart. She pushes down the feeling of just screaming at her teammates, laughing and starting havok. She just focuses. She looks to Green Lantern and offers a rather disconcerting smile before she looks forward and prepares.

Already, she's listening. Reaching out with her power of the world of sound and pulling at the various sounds to try to find if anything stands out. For her, it's like looking at a tapestry but in this case, listening and she seeks out the sounds of life and activity.

Karolina Dean has posed:
Karolina, with good reason, is dropping in with her bracelet on. She looks like a normal blonde in knee-high boots, skinny jeans, and a black sweater-vest turtleneck. "I'm still sorry I wasn't there for when the tower got attacked," she laments, looking between members of the team. This might also be her first operation with the other Titans since the trip to space! She's clearly a little nervous, fiddling with her bracelet as she looks the building over. "Cameras... basement... fallout shelter, right?" she asks, her time with her... first group giving her some insight on spotting building security.

Dick Grayson has posed:
Nothing unusual comes, sound-wise from the building, save the occasional scurry of vermin, the light hum of cameras turning. It is eerily quiet. The building just there, awaiting the approach of others. For those who might be a little more aware, there are some bits on the railing for the front steps where the dust has been pushed away.

America Chavez has posed:
America pauses, then glances back to Karolina, "Protect yourself, first. Banshee second. Don't worry too much about me. I'm pretty durable. Banshee - when I say let it go, we'll cover our ears, and you just let it all out. Got it?"

Then, the stars-and-stripes Miss America dusts her arms off almost performatively and walks up to the front doors, and then just flat-palm slams them with enough force to knock them off their hinges and push them in hard, the cling and clatter of them making quite a bit of noise.

"Knock Knock," calls Miss America, taking the front position. She is the Team Tank, afterall, and she has to protect the Casters - something she learned from Kyle, and it weirdly makes sense to her.

"Anybody home?"

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A frown as she doesn't seem to find any sound, she lets out a soft, "~It's far too quiet...~" And then she looks over at Karolina before blinking at America. She nods her head in response to that and then follows her in. She starts looking around as they walk in, peering this way and that as she walks in. This is something new for her. She's used to just fighting and nothing else. She's used to seeing enemies. She has an urge to lick her lips as they walk and then she realizes...she can't. This whole thing is still disorienting and in the back of her head, a voice idly sings of death in old celtic.

Karolina Dean has posed:
"Oh... so.. full frontal assault then...?" Karolina asks, wringing her hands. She's definitely not used to this. Then again, her only metric is the space mission, and a little practice with Hawkeye in the Danger Room. She nods to America, though, when she instructs her. She's good at following instructions, knowing she's still very much a freshman member here. Still, the solid B&E of the doors being knocked the f out makes her reflexively shrink just a bit, the loud noise in the night.

"Well they certainly know we're here... I'll do my best, though," she gives a genuine smile to Siobanh and America, moving to stand closer to the Silver Banshee.

Dick Grayson has posed:
The doors give way with ease, slamming with loud metallic clangthuds. The inside is dark, and quiet. The unlit hallway is unpopulated, dusty filing cabinets, and old office doors sit closed. Along the walls are a few signs, including one old faded one saying "Fallout Shelter" and pointing to the north, though at the end of the northern hallway are a couple of wooden doors. To the east are the restrooms and the janitorial office/supply area. And to the south are more offices.

America Chavez has posed:
"Alright, Banshee. Can you do that 'hello there I see you' voice thing where you find people?" The lack of response is not sitting well with America - either it's a dud of a lead, or ... it's a trap. And while she's hot-headed, she also is not without a level head presently which is proving to at least show some of her leadership potential.

She looks back to Karolina, "We aren't here to play canasta," she responds with a bit of light sarcasm. "Besides. If it's our enemies, they were aware we were here by the time we arrived. No sense in playing games."

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A look to America and she nods as she looks forward, "~I cannae say I know how all dis works yet but..." She then lets out a slow breath and focuses left. Sending out her senses to look for heartbeats. Look for movements. Look for any sound before looking right and doing the same. She even starts looking down, trying to find any sound she can play with. Any sound she can find and manipulate. She stops after a moment and blinks.

"~I hear sometin' strange. LIke a whirrin' sound. Mechanical? I am not familiar with the noise.~" She states and then looks over at America, "~Maybe computers?~"

She then glances back at Karolina and grins a rather, well, not comforting grin, "~Dey aren't here to be our friends, why should we?~"

Karolina Dean has posed:
Karolina deadpans at the two of them, "I thought we might have tried nseaking in first, that's all..." She lifts her shoulders and exhales a sigh. Then she goes silent, letting Siobhan do her sound thing. She peers into the darkness of the building, then glances up. She listens to Siobhan's appraisal of the sounds she's gathering, and purses her lips. "...can you tell if they're up or down? If they've got active power running here..." she doesn't really plan on stating the obvious, but gets close.

America Chavez has posed:
"Alright. Let's go check out these computers, then. Be on the lookout for traps," she warns, not exactly certain what 'traps' the Five might've set up for them, but given their last encounter and Jinx, she's sure it could be anything. Slow, and guarded, America leads the other two Titans towards where Banshee said the sound was coming from.

"I hate this hide-and-go-seek crap," she mutters, clearly having wanted to settle this in an all-out-fist-fight But that, probably, wouldn't surprise anyone on the team.

"And stay together."

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
Walking along with America, she keeps herself focused on that sound, "~Dat way.~" She points toward the North Hall, and glancces back briefly at Karolina. She nods to her and then considers, "~Dey definitely have power.~" She nods her head as she walks, "~Dose are computers of some kind, meanin' power of some kind.~" Her echoy voice is subdued at the moment as she moves along, glaring this way and that as they walk before she looks ahead and considers, "~I don't tink anyone livin' is here but dat doesn't mean it isn't dangerous.~"

Karolina Dean has posed:
Karolina takes up the rear, following behind Siobhan to make sure they don't get ambushed from behind, valuing the skills of their tracker now. She's really just artillery, for the most part, but she's keeping her powers suppressed in the interests of not draining her energy in the darkness. No sun means limited battery life, after all. "Could this be the wrong hideout then?" she asks, staying on the quiet side of things, even if anyone inside could've heard their entry easily. "There should at least be some information we can use if they've got some kind of mainframe, right?"

Dick Grayson has posed:
Once the party clears the wooden doors they find themselves in a concrete antechamber. Lights turn on as they enter. They are not entirely alone, though, turrets whir to life, extending from a coiled position, but do not open fire. They instead stay trained on the three. Between the turrets is a large steel door and a panel with a keypad next to it. The keypad itself has both letters and numbers on it, along with a display screen.

America Chavez has posed:
America holds up a hand on either side of her for her two teammates, suggesting they stop. She looks over her shoulder at Karolina. "So, can you make -two- shields? Or, one very long shield? I just need enough time to be able to zip over to each turret and rip it apart. But, I have a feeling we need to see what's on these computers. Or, we're -meant- to see it." She frowns at that, jaw setting hard.

"I have a very bad feeling they're playing with us. Or, testing us." She grits her teeth. "Either way, those turrets go off and someone's getting hurt, and we're losing access to that information that's on them."

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A look over at America and Siobhan frowns a little as she had seen the turrets. She looks back at them and then over to America again to listen to her. She considers something and then frowns as a voice in the back of her head tries to whisper and she covers one ear, shaking her head. She looks then over at Karolina for the answer before looking to the turrets. She eyes them before saying, "~I can take one out quickly.~" She nods her haed, "~I can create a thin blast of sound.~" She nods her haed, "~Done it before.~" She looks to Karolina, "~If ye can block the other two or somethin'?" She then looks back at America.

Karolina Dean has posed:
"I can do two shields," Karolina says helpfully, fingers fiddling with her bracelet. She undoes the quick-release and gingerly slides it into her pocket. The barrier of cloth layers breaks contact with her skin, and the moment her fingers withdraw, her colors flare. She's focusing, keeping the shine subdued, but she easily lights up on thermal and light sensors, if not motion sensors.

"If the turrets are some kind of energy projection... like lasers or something.... I can... take the hits in your steads as well..." she offers helpfully. "...and they'd help keep me topped off..." she adds as an aside, flexing her fingers as ribbons of scintillating light begin to weave around her arms.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Never before has Kate Bishop wished harder for speed force or flight or teleportation powers. I mean heck she would have been happy to even take Vorpal's rabbit holes or even .... gasp... a Raven teleport.

It means that doing the last minute coordination and prep in the tower while the teams rolled out meant that she was slowed down doing overwatch and approaching the site she decided could potentially use more help. Which honestly the other team has more heavy hitters assigned to it at this point so it is a pretty easy decision. No offense at all meant (and none of that vocalized to hurt anyone's feelings).

Also frontal assault makes her nervous.

Anyways she sped along on her bike as fast as she could having made the call as to which location to go.

The Bike is parked outside the plant and the archer, full kit, comes running into the facility <<Guys incoming, as in me, not enemies yet, so please don't blast me. What's the sitch?>> slowing her sprint down as she approaches the foyer with the lights on and voices and eases to peak around at everyone then eases back. Turrets. Exciting. An arrow drawn. <<I can gum one of them up no problem if needed.. don't want to distrupt the plan if you already have one?>>

America Chavez has posed:
"Karolina, put up two shields, one for each turret. Banshee take the one out on the left, Hawkeye, one on the right," America calls, not sure how, but suddenly finding herself in the leadership role, however temporarily. And, somehow, she manages to restrain herself from flying up to the steel door and just ripping it off. There's too much at play here, and she doesn't want to risk ruining it, or springing something early.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A nod is given to America and Karolina before she closes her eyes. It still takes some concentration to not just open up with a full scream. She is able to open her glowing eyes though and glares at the left turret before she lets out a scream through a pinched mouth. The blast far more focused as it is loud but not painfully so. In that tunnel, though is a heavy blast of sonic damage that defies physics with its very existance as it slams for the turret she was to take out.

Karolina Dean has posed:
Karolina tilts her head to the side, looking to America as the instructions are given. "It'll be a short window but I'll do my best..." she seems to be focusing on her teammates more than the turrets, watching their actions, waiting for the right signs and the right window. Her boots are about two inches off of the ground, the rainbow-bathed blonde seeming much more at home floating than standing in her state. The call to act and fire gives her pause, her own timing needing to be just off.

When Kate and Siobhan take their shots, she thrusts her arms forward, the ribbons of light rushing out towards both turrets. She divides the energy halfway, erecting barriers that form and solidify after the actions of her teammates. The timing may not be perfect, but should at least be slow enough for sound and arrow to hit their target... and maybe keep any return fire at bay. She's still learning how to operate with the team, after all.

Kate Bishop has posed:
<<Sounds like a plan>> she quips back over comms to the others and then with an eye on Siobhan she pops out and waits, then releases the nocked arrow going for synchronisity with the other attack. The arrow she sends hurtling down towards the Turret is a pretty standard fare in her kit these days. So many damn robots means so many shaped explosive charge arrows. It will stick for a moment before exploding and all that.

Then while yes the plan is for Karolina to pop shields and modulate the rainbows (taste the rainbow?) ... well Kate still ducks back around the door frame just in case. She is fragile after all.

Dick Grayson has posed:
As the focused sonic blast hits the turret, the gun itself is shaken loose and falls, though the sound does bounce off and reverbs along the concrete walls of the antechamber, certainly not exactly the most comfortable. The other turret comes to life in the moment between the speed of sound and the speed of arrow, but only a couple of blasts shoot out, striking the shields before KABOOM and it too is in pieces. Leaving only the door and the keypad.

America Chavez has posed:
"Good job, now that's teamwork." America seems pleased, "C'mon, Princess," she tells Kate, "Let's see if you got an arrow that can hack a keypad." She walks up to the keypad and display, and the steel door, looking at the readout on the control panel to see what it says - as well as what's on the keybpad, numbers, letters and numbers, or weird magic symbols? One never knows when walking into a villian's lair.

She says a bit more soberly, "This seems a bit too easy of a thing. They wanted us to find this, for whatever reason. Let's not mess it up."

Karolina Dean has posed:
When the plasma blasts splash against her shields, Karolina blinks. When she draws the energy of them back into herself once the turrets are out of commission, she looks... brighter. "Oh... oh!" she laughs. "...if we run into more like that... I can.. um.. eat the projectiles?" She hovers her way behind America, floating upside-down, her hair cascading down beneath her. "Plasma! It's like... um... the stuff I'm made of, I guess... lasers and plasma and things..." she nods. "..bullets, though.. no.. but if they have plasma turrets, they've got some really hi-tech toys...!"

Kate Bishop has posed:
"Did you just call me princess America?" she is amused not mad. "We have legitimate space princesses on this team.. and amazonian princesses... I have arrows." pause "also sass..."

She does walk up to the steel door and keypad cautiously though.

Honestly she is keeping America between her and any potential explosive door traps.

"Looking shiny Glitter." is said fondly to Karolin and then mmms. "Probably Gizmo's doing if I had to place money.. and yeah this whole place could just be a death trap diversion. I mean chances are our intel may just be lies." she looks to America once more. "I am not a hacker though even if I am good with training sims. I think this is going to be a cutting through it or punching through it problem without one of our tech team here."

Kate seems to have no trouble admitting her limitations. "Best I could do is EMP arrow it and see if for fire reasons they have it fail open in power outages."

"We could try the passcode from the dumb ones wallet?"

America Chavez has posed:
America pauses looking at the entry pad, considers, and then reaches into her shorts pocket to pull out a small folded up piece of paper, and upon reading it, she looks at the others with her, then nods to Kate.

"Might as well," she agrees with Kate. She fishes into her shorts pocket, pulls out a folded note that carries a password that a member of each of the sub-teams had carried with them to use 'just in case'. So, she takes her time, and taps each respective key, then looks up to watch and wait to see what happens after striking 'enter'.

Dick Grayson has posed:
Once the code is entered, the steel door goes up with ease and the remnants from the turrets retract. Behind the steel door is what remains of a former hideout. A few couches, a couple of tables with chairs, entrances to rooms that appear to be private rooms, and a computer bank with monitors along one wall. Enough to hide away for a few days and maintain surveillance.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
Walking up to the door, there's an echoy voice getting stronger in Siobhan's head. It's harder. So much harder to just be herself when like this and the longer she is, the harder it is. She approaches the huge door and touches it lightly, her eyes going to the door as she slowly leans her head against it and she whispers out, "~Why are we here...?~" And strangely everyone here can hear that whisper as if it were whispered into their own ear, as if Siobhan were leaning into them and telling them a secret.

The voice, though, doesn't really sound like Siobhan's.

Then she looks up as the door opens and shifts her shoulders back, rolling them and her eyes staring around as if searching for something. She steps into the room and looks around again, listening and looking as she shudders a little, "~I don't see anyone.~"

Karolina Dean has posed:
Karolina smiles, floating upside-down still. She wiggles her fingers at Kate, grinning brightly. "Hey Hawkeye~ Shiny? Thanks!" she says cheerfully. Then as the massive yet ... surprisingly ineffective code is punched in, she rights herself and watches the door slide open. "Oh... this is... pretty nice, actually...what are we looking...for?"

She blinks, hearing that voice in her head and looks around, lips pursing. "...huh?" she asks, glancing around for a moment, then looking towards Siobhan. "Hey.." she floats closer to her, reaching a shining arm out, a hand to her shoulder. "You okay?"

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate continues the proud tradition of letting those people more bullet proof than she is step into the lair first. It isn't personal it is just tactical. Also in some cases an excellent view perhaps.

"Looks like we may have gotten the lair that isn't full of Fearsome Counting Challenged Villains." she quips glancing past the others.

She lets Karo check on Siobhan for the moment prowling in, arrow nocked since nothing immediately exploded. "We need to get handsy with any intel they may have left laying around and then probably nuke this base to take it out of their resource pool." that sounds a bit like someone has played too many video games. She probably isn't wrong but.

America Chavez has posed:
America steps in, frowning, "Looks like an old safehouse, used but not regularly," she says looking at the contents. "But it was guarded for some reason." Carefully, she starts looking through the main area first, at the computers and what (if anything) is on the monitors without touching them. She looks almost upset that so far, this has almost seemingly turned out to be - at least from her perspetive - fruitless.

"We should check the other rooms - make sure we're not missing anything. Hawkeye, you good with computers at all?" America knows how to turn them on, and how to access her social media accounts, watch videos, and make them all on her phone. But actual computers, beyond a few simple tools she's hardly an expert at.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A look over at Karolina and raises a hand to her, "~Don't worry about it. We just need to focus...on the task.~" Her echoy voice more back to a normalish Siobhan as she looks around and sighs. She starts to do what America is doing. Just looking around, listening and trying to figure out what it is she is seeing. She isn't really the type to hack things. If ya need music or loud noises, she's your girl. Hacking? Not so much.

Dick Grayson has posed:
The computers are plugged in, still and are humming. When the monitor flips on, there is one screen with a password input. The problem is that on an adjacent monitor a timer shows up showing 2:00. Over the speakers omes, in a high-pitched voice, "Security breach, enter password or self-destruct protocols will initiate. Mammoth, if you did this, just type your driver's license number."

Karolina Dean has posed:
Karolina pulls her hand back when Siobhan tells her not to worry. She nods, and proceeds to worry even more now. "Of course, as you wish..." she gives her a lopsided smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes, and moves on to check the rooms. When the alarm comes on, she pauses in a doorway, and looks up towards the source of the sound.

"...Mammoth? Wasn't that the guy with the wallet and the passcode?" She'd read the intel, some of it at least. Between classwork. "...did anyone bring it with them?" she then asks, pursing her lips. She can't see the screen with the timer from where she's floating, though, and her look of concern for Siobhan has turned into a look of concern for the whole party.

Kate Bishop has posed:
"That is the guy with the wallet and passcode..." she pulls out her small tablet from her kit and flips it on as she approaches the computer, going to all the photos of the wallets contents. "Gizmo has to have a really really low opinion of his teammates intelligence.."

When she gets to the computer she holds her tablet up with one hand and quickly types in the guys driver's license number. "Though to be fair... all I did hear was the idiot rawring a lot and stomping around when Cait and I fought him. Not sure I actually heard any cohesive words... which makes me wonder how he even got a driver's license..."

She hits enter and steps back ready to dive and roll if this was all a trick.

Dick Grayson has posed:
Fortunately, Kate's memory of the wallet allows her to find the correct information and once it is put in the speakers again emit sound. "Really, Mammoth? Again?" It is clearly pre-recorded.

The countdown clock disappears and the monitors show a basic screen with a standard layout for the desktop.

America Chavez has posed:
"Alright. Hawkeye, see if you can find anything good on the computer, we're going to have a look around, I think, see if we can find anything worth coming here for. Hopefully something pans out." She exhales, slowly and moves over to the nearest door that looks like it might go to a private room.

She squints her eyes, slowly turns the knob and pushes the door open without going inside. One of these rooms, she's guessing, probably belongs to Jinx. And if that's the case -- she might be like Raven. Best to tread carefully.

"Just be careful," she advises, somewhat tersely, upset at the lack of resolution so often found in combat for her -- and the lack of any real 'leads' just yet to anything further than an abandoned base.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A look at the monitor and Siobhan waits to see what happens only for nothing to happen. She lets out a sight and then shakes her haed as she looks to America. That's at least a good idea, "~We should stick togetter.~" She nods her head and then starts around toward America and starts with her, "~No need to get into trouble alone in case dey left traps.~" She then starts walking with her, trying her best to focus on the task at hand.

Karolina Dean has posed:
"Whoever coded that doesn't seem very nice..." Karolina comments, shaking her head. "...not very supportive of their team. Very uncool," she almost pouts, but instead moves towards Kate now that threat of imminent explosion is out of the way. She looks towards Siobhan and America. "Groups of two? We can cover more ground and nobody's left alone," she offers, hoping that she's being helpful.

"...and if a trap goes off it doesn't take out all of us.." she adds, cynical, with less of a smile. Helpful.

Kate Bishop has posed:
"I mean.. honestly if I was Gizmo I would only give Mammoth access to web browsers and video games with strict parental controls on the base computers.... I mean if the others are punching them in the face right now at least Gizmo isn't getting monitor your kid's online time access alerts on his phone or something..."

Regardless though Kate will look it over and then start to explore the various things on the desktop. She predicts she will find unsavory browser histories but is slightly optimistic for now.
"Pretty sure Gizmo is the one who recorded it.. definitely seemed like a prick." is said to Karo as she works.

Dick Grayson has posed:
Inside the rooms there is not much, except a receipt, a half-eaten bag of doritos, and a couple of socks.

As predicted, the computer does not give away too much information, but there are a few files available, that are labeled, "Email," "Plans," and "Pictures".

America Chavez has posed:
"As I figured, not much in here," America grouses, looking back to Siobhan. "Dammit." She punches a wall, but not too hard - probably leaving a dent or cracking some drywall depending on what it's made out of.

"You see anything I don't?" Not optimistic about it, but Siobhan's proven to have some additional abilities in that regard, so it's worth a shot.

She calls out to Kate and Karolina, "Nothing in the rooms so far."

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A frown in response to America and she looks around as well, "~THis seems like a bust...~" She states softly and shudders a little even when America asks her something. She blinks slowly and looks at America and then nods, "~Yes, sure. I'll listen.~" She then seems to focus on and starts looking around. She grims her hands into fists slowly and releases them before letting out an annoyed sigh, "~No...~" She lets out a frustrated sound.

"~I don't know what dis place was to dem but it is notting now.~" She shakes her haed and looks to America, "~MIght as well start doin' a more normal search.~"

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate shudders a little worried about what might be in Pictures.

So she will start with Plans and then Email in that order.

Of course truly nefarious might hide it in pictures, but if she is in Mammoth's account... he isn't in her opinion very nefarious.

"Any luck in their rooms?" the answer from America has her focused on the console now though... anything anything.... hmm.... she is hoping the computer has something. But come on they have Mammoth's login.

With that in mind she is trying to determine if it is all cloud driven or if the computer is here in a box that could be taken out of the base somehow. This is skeptical in her mind since Gizmo is a tech junkie.

Kate Bishop has posed:
After a moment "America... maybe check for secret panels, passages, doors... maybe this is the decoy base?"

Kate seems despondent. "Because yeah this computer has nothing worth nothing on it."

America Chavez has posed:
After checking through the rooms and even a little wall rapping to ensure there are no secret passages or panels or hidden safes at least that she can figure out, she comes out of their little investigative exploration spree and looks more upset than ever, just shaking her head at this point. "Seems we got the short end of the stick. I just hope the other groups fair a little better."

Kate's already on checking into it, but America still has to ask, "I don't suppose there's a way we can take that thing back with us and have one of our tech experts hack it to get another person's access that might have additional info on it? I'm guessing it's probably trapped against it by that little Gizmo jerk."

Karolina Dean has posed:
Karolina gives Kate a squeeze on the shoulder, then floats around the main room. She's careful, making sure there's no grenades or tripwires under trash, but otherwise, comes up empty handed. Well, that and two bottles of Fanta. "...I think we missed less of a safehouse and more of a low-key party..." she opts to abandon the sodas, saving them for someone else, before sighing and floating back over towards Kate. "Nothing? You check all the folders?" she asks, "C'mon, I grew up in Hollywood. They hide stuff in plain sight in movies all the time. They're going to shove stuff in folders that are like... 'System Resource Document' or sometplace so boring you won't even glance at it... my dad had pictures of cars he liked in a folder like that.." she laughs.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Big sigh from Kate and she clicks in and looks through the Pictures folder.

"Huh.. no porn..." she pulls out a clean flash drive and pops it in to export the photos. If nothing else blackmail or intel she guesses.

"Wait... he... does anyone recognize this location?" she points to a photo, then clicks on properties to see if the person who took it turned off the geotagging on their phone or camera.

America Chavez has posed:
"Doesn't look familiar to me, but that's not either of the places Dr. Light mentioned," America states, while Kate checks into the pictures properties. "Likely he wasn't clued into a lot of their things, they seemed pretty complacent about letting him get caught."

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
Looking around, Siobhan lifts up an old bag of chicks and then blinks over at America. She tosses it to the side and starts over toward the rest of them, "~Dis hardly seems like a useful ting but I can't keep dis up. I don't want to change back while here.~" She looks around, "~Surely dere's some cameras about but...~" She shakes her haed and sighs, "~I can't keep holdin' her down. Makin' her behave. Act as if I'm just...normal. Not like dis.~"

Karolina Dean has posed:
Karolina frowns, looking at the pictures. "...these people are like us... what would drive them to attack us though? And... they're not the best team, if they're so keen on leaving people behind like that..." she sighs, shaking her head. Siobhan's concerns make her look up, and she moves closer to the other woman.

She offers her hand, "Come on, there's nothing else here. I can fly us outside and get you out of the sight of the cameras quicker than the rest of us can walk... would that help?" she asks, offering a gentle smile. Then she gives a little pointing gesture to America and Kate. "Groups of two~?"

Kate Bishop has posed:
"Okay I think we got what we need and we can use this picture to find the location of their base.. got GPS and also maybe enough for someone to even find the phone itself later." bright smile.

She steps back. "We can trash the base now I think safely... and Glimmer... they are like us but they took the fork in the road marked VILLAIN and GREED and we took the road marked HERO and ALTRUISM.... or something.... people make choices. It doesn't mean they aren't people anymore."

"Well unless they are automotons and robot spiders... fuck robot spiders..." she starts walking out tucking the USB drive in her pocket.

Dick Grayson has posed:
On the team's way out, something catches their eyes, a small lead box that must have been overlooked during the bug out. Inside are found a couple of the stolen beta model T-Comms, though they have clearly been modified.
