Location: Wakandan Embassy
Synopsis: Shuri brings Riri to introduce her to T'Challa. A deal is struck.
Cast of Characters: T'Challa, Shuri, Riri Williams

T'Challa has posed:
When T'Challa is at the Embassy it can become something of a media circus, but the King of Wakanda very rarely takes visitors and even rarer still give interviews. The Doja flanking him from the car to the front doors of the Embassy do their best, and their best is very good, to protect him from reporters who have gotten word that the King and Avenger is in New York City.

Dressed in a black suit of a shimmering material, he has on a pair of designer shades converted by his sister to offer soem impressive observations at those who come too close to him... very few do.

"Your Highness!" The Kings assistant meets him, speaking quietly as the quartet and King head towards the elevators that will take them to the lower levels where he is more likely to find Shuri. The diplomatic duties of station are never ending, but the stoic and impressive figure handles it gracefully.

Shuri has posed:
Having arrived before her brother on purpose, Shuri took a side entrance to the Embassy and brought Riri with her. She knew that Riri wouldn't like wanna be harassed by reporters /and/ that going through the main hall might take a while anyway. She has her clearances. She is the princess after all. So, she walks Riri right into the lab area and gestures around.

Her lab is not really like the one Riri showed. This one has paintings and art everywhere perfectly blending the tables into it that contain machines that are likely only sorta recognizable given they all contain some degree of Vibranium /and/ vibranium changes just how the work often times.

"And this, is my lab." She staets simply enough even as she knows her brother is coming, "I can show you more things here when the time is right but right now, my brother will be here soon. He is often a serious man so remember, be respectful and mindful." She nods her head, "And try not to do what I do." She chuckles.

Riri Williams has posed:
Yes, side entrances were definitely better as far as Riri was concerned. No awkward questions about the Ironheart Mk I helmet in her bag, and nobody giving her dirty looks about her hoodie and jeans. ...Which still admittedly were the nicest clothes she owned, since they didn't have any miscellaneous stains on them. ...She hadn't hreally had a use for 'fancy' clothes since three years ago. "This is.... Like, I thought my lab was fancy when I walked into it. But this... this is like a movie. And yeah, I can do respectful." The backpack is lowered to the floor, and Riri's helmet is extracted and placed on a nearby table. Carefully. Because the thing's /heavy/ and Tony Stark makes things look easier than they really are.

T'Challa has posed:
T'Challa waves off the Assistant with the jerk of his wrist, but the Dojas aren't so easily dismissed. They take up position at a respectful distance, but they're always within quick approach of the King, no matter what he says to the contrary. He'd received word from the assistant that Shuri was, in fact, in the lab and apparently had a visitor. So he put on his best expression and walked purposefully across the vibranium inlaid floor towards the pair of girls. A dark brow elevates for Shuri's benefit, but his attention is on Riri and her helmet. "Ah... the young woman from Tony's press conference." Recognizing her, and perhaps her helmet.

Shuri has posed:
A look over at Riri, and she smiles, "I am glad you like it. There's a lot I could show you but that is not why we are here." She shakes her head and then looks towardd the entryway when T'Challa arrives. She gestures, "This is why we are here. May I present, T'Challa. My brother." She nods her head and then she gestures, "And T'Challa, this is Riri. She is a young inventor similar to myself and apparently she brought a helmet to show you." She chuckles and then looks over at Riri with a grin.

Riri Williams has posed:
Despite all the warnings, Riri is unable to manage from looking like a deer in headlights when T'challa's gaze locks onto her. "...Your majesty." Bowing is the right thing to do, right? ...Hopefully it is, because that's what she does. ...Crap. She's on the spot. Don't ramble. "Riri Williams. I kinda reverse engineered the armor from some scraps I found, and I wanted to help people. I've been calling myself Ironheart, and I thought if I brought this, you'd have more reason to take me seriously. ...People don't do that at first when they see me." It's true. Her age is more of a hindrance than just making it hard to reach some things.

T'Challa has posed:
T'Challa side glances towards his sister and raises a brow at her, admittedly usual, cavalier demeanor. Rather than being upset by it, however, he takes it with a level head and a grain of salt passing through his palms, "It is a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Williams." Stepping closer, while he's wearing a rather nice cut suit, his feet are clad only in sandles. Appearance is everything, "May I?" Extending his hands out for the helmet as she explains how it is she came into position of what he had originally thought was one of Tony's older model helmets. "You built this from scraps?" Another glance at Shuri, curiosity evident in his expression. Had she already seen this?

Shuri has posed:
"Brother..." She shakes her head and rubs her forehead as she gestures down at his feet before she throws her hands up and then she smiles, "Not only did she build that, but she is working on a newer model." Shuri nods her head again before looking over to Riri and giving her a grin, "She's pretty good at building things from what I can see." She nods her head.

Riri Williams has posed:
Riri hands the helmet over, a little gingerly due to the weight and not wanting to drop it on her foot. It does indeed resemble Tony's Gen 2 or 3, albeit in battleship grey with some additional heavy armor plating along the jawline and sides of the head. "I reverse engineered how it worked from the scraps. What was left... I didn't have the manufacturing tools to work with to replicate. Shuri, can you do the thing with your...?" She gestures towards the beads on the other teen's wrist, pulling her own AR goggles on. "I've got a tablet in my bag if you can't, but it's easier to show things with augmented reality. This is actually the Mark I, which I made in my lab at SI. The prototype was something I built in a garage and my dorm room with whatever I could scavenge, on an old bridgeport mill I retrofitted to do CNC work. ...Fell apart the first time I tried using it, but the principles were sound."

T'Challa has posed:
T'Challa has little trouble with the weight of the helmet once it is passed to him and rolls it over in his palms to look down into the interior with that same curious brow perked over his dark eyes. At the mention of beads, he holds it out for Shuri to scan over and project for them so that he can see some of the inner workings as Riri allows. Some of it will, of course, go over his head, but he's not a gorilla and certainly can follow the jist. "I saw the news report of, what I can only imagine, was your first outing. Very impressive for something built in a garage." He is, of course, endlessly curious how Tony had responded, but he doesn't ask. Passing the helmet back over to Riri, "What is it we can do for you, Ms. Williams? I assume my sister has already offered you full run of the lab."

Shuri has posed:
A laugh and she shakes her head at Riri, "In here, we don't need all that." She then taps the beads and something of a keyboard comes up. She then taps something out and gestures with a thrust of her hand. Out of the floor comes the full model of Riri's Mark II as she had shown her before. She gestures to it for Riri and smiles, "As for hte lab." She smirks over at T'Challa, "I have allowed her nothing yet. I have been good even if you are..." She gestures, "Down, wearing those sandals again!" She sighs and then looks to her before looking to T'Challa, "And now she wants to build this and I was thinking we might be of some assistance."

Riri Williams has posed:
"She didn't offer anything without you-" Riri pauses as Shuri starts talking again, and Riri is then distracted again by how her specs are somehow already on display. "...Huh. ...But yeah. Compare the Mark II..." She gestures towards the much more streamlined and slimmer armor, "To the Mark I." A much bulkier armor that looks like the hybrid between Stark style armor and a gundam. "I was still working off the basic Prototype chassis, so it stayed bulky. A lot more durable now though, and has some dedicated systems packed in. I've got even more ideas for the Mark II, and a couple of extra ideas I got from Shuri showing me some of her stuff..." Riri trails off, replacing the helmet on the table and reaching forward to tap the Mark II. Oh hey, same interface she's used to. "But a lot of it is miniaturizing things, and figuring out a way to keep me from getting turned into chunky marinara without the bulky impact gel padding I've got in the Mark I. ...We may have kind of had a brainstorming session." Her gaze drops back down to the helmet, and she runs one hand along its cheek armor

T'Challa has posed:
T'Challa observes from a distance, but he's following the overall design. One arm crosses his chest, the other up to tug at the small bit of fuzz growing beneath his bottom lip, "Is Tony not assisting you with this?" It isn't a dismissive lilt to his tone, but a conversational one. There's a lot of professional courtesy being paid, of course, but largely he just doesn't want to step on the inventors toes by seeing under the preverbial hood of his armors. He does look to his sister, raising a brow as he looks down to wiggling toes, "What? They are comfortable.." His only defense. It is entirely possible he changed into them before entering the lab just to poke at her. "I can imagine that you did." Brainstorm, knowing his sister.

Shuri has posed:
A smile at him and she rolls her eyes, "And they are hideous." She then looks over at Riri with a wide smile and then looks back to T'Challa, "Yes, I gave her the benefit of my wisdom." She puts her nose up a little with a smile and nods her head before she looks over at at the armor again before gesturing, "What I was thinking is that she could use a small amount of extra help with her armor to further protect her internally in the event of hard impacts." She gestures to various spots on the armor, "Internal lacing with the proper material could be helpful." She smirks at T'Challa, "But of couse, I wouldn't offer without my brother's blessing." She smirks.

Riri Williams has posed:
"I... haven't actually asked him yet. He's kind of intense, and he's been really busy with the campaign stuff, and... I'm not really good with people." Riri's eyes fall to the floor again. She's not looking at the sandals, though. Just... the ground. "He's already given me the job, and a budget... It'll just take me time to work things out. And I'll have to space out component purchases. What I couldn't do without help would be vibranium based stuff. I've never gotten anywhere near Nanotech, but Shuri has that and hard light in her wings..." Riri shrugs again. "And it's nice to have someone to work with who's close to my age and who understands what I say."

T'Challa has posed:
"Ah." T'Challa mirrors the sentiment spoken about Tony with a knowing smirk that fades rapidly. He's never felt that from the genius, but they spend surprisingly little time together despite their shared alligences. "Usually, we would not share vibranium with just anyone..." Looking to his sister with another knowing smirk, this one doesn't fade to rapidly, "But situations with Wakanda are about to change, so I see no reason that we cannot-" And by We, he almost certainly means Shuri and Riri, "-cannot share some of our abundent supply for the sake of protecting a protige of a dear friend. Obviously, I will have to discuss it with Tony before hand, but... with his approval." He raises a hand and nods, "Until such time, if Shuri wishes to assist you, she will do so whether I give her permission or not... So I will give it, that I feel like I am still in control of something." All very good natured, at least where it pretains to his sibling.

Shuri has posed:
A smile to T'Challa and then she grins at Riri, "See, he is very reasonable when you ask him for forgiveness instead of perimssion." She nods her head and then smiles at Riri, "And I imagine Tony will have no problem with greater protection." She nods her head as she looks to T'challa and then she gestures over, "And now you have met the great Black Panther, Riri." She leans over toward her, "Even if you have already met the mind behind most of his tech."

Riri Williams has posed:
"Thank you, your majesty." Riri bows again, "I am honored to work alongside your sister, and I thank you for your approval." ...That still sounds good, right? ...But now she's going to have to come up with some kind of gift. ...That isn't already redundant compared to what Shuri's made. This... might be a bit difficult. "...I'd imagine you have NDAs you want me to sign or something?"

T'Challa has posed:
"Yes, yes..." T'Challa waves his hand flampantly at his sisters expossure of his great soft spot, smiling all the while. "The all powerful Black Panther, bested by his is sister..." He jostles her shoulder because he knows better than to touch her hair. Even he isn't a fool. To Riri, he offers a bow of his head, "It is my pleasure. If there is anything I might do to assist you, certainly Shuri will say she can do it better anyways." Squeezing said girls shoulder, he takes a step back. The Dojas are already moving forward to flank him as it appears though he's intent to depart.
