Nicole Adams is the estranged only daughter of Kevin and Helen Adams, of Taunton, MA. She is caught on a knife's edge between keeping a low profile in regards to her mutation, and the desire to use it to help make the world a better place for all. She currently works at the Good Room nightclub in Brooklyn, NY, offering a sympathetic ear along with libations to patrons. But she longs to do more, if only she knew how....

Timeline:
*1998: Born and raised in Taunton, MA to parents Kevin and Helen. Only child.

*2003: Began to learn the piano, and writing music.

2005: Her uncle Wylie Adams came out to the family as a mutant, and was subsequently disowned. Nicole sees the stark contrast of her family's treatment of its own flesh and blood, in direct contrast to Superman's acceptance, and knows she will break away as soon as she is of age; it is not who she wants to be.

*2011: Nicole discovers, while goofing off by herself after watching Star Wars, that she has the gift of telekinesis. Later that year, on Thanksgiving, she also discovers her healing factor and increased durability, when falling from a ladder in the kitchen. She was retrieving special holiday flatware from a cabinet otherwise too high to reach, and rather than use her telekinesis, she used a ladder. She fell, dishes broke around her, yet she came away without a scratch. Her family believed it luck, but they did not see her cuts before they healed.

*2016: Nicole moves away from home, cutting ties with her family due to their anti-mutant views. She finds friends in Brooklyn, and lives with them for 3 years, while building resources to move into her own apartment.

*2020: Nicole is finally able to move into her own apartment, and takes up work at the Good Room club in Brooklyn, as a bartender.

Caring:
Nicole can be a woman of very deep feelings. Sometimes perhaps a little too deep. She sees injustice and suffering in the world around her, and empathizes with it due to her own situation as a mutant.

Romantic:
Nicole has a romantic streak a mile wide. There will always be part of her that believes in 'happily ever after'.

Trust:
Sometimes, it can be difficult for Nicole to trust. She has seen flesh and blood disavowed for being different, and been made to participate in anti-mutant rallies through her youth and teenage years. If one cannot trust family, who can one trust? It is something she must work through.

Enhanced Durability:
Nicole can currently survive a fall from a 10-story building with this ability alone, with minimal injuries sustained.

Healing Factor:
Nicole has a strong healing factor, which many mistake for incredibly good luck in escaping injury. Cuts vanish in seconds, broken bones in the course of a few days, with the time taken to heal internal injuries varying by severity. The potential to regenerate limbs exists but has not been put to the test. Her healing factor gives her resistance to illness, poison, and intoxication.

Telekinesis:
Currently unskilled in its use, Nicole has the gift of telekinesis. Due to her family's rabidly anti-mutant stance, she is better at suppressing this gift than she is using it. She is currently able to lift small objects with conscious effort, and when in immediate danger of injury, instinctively surrounds herself with a telekinetic field. The potential for further growth exists, with training and time.

Creativity:
Nicole always has been, and always will be a highly creative individual. This serves her well, as it allows her to find alternative uses for common items, and very comfortably make do. She adheres to the old maxim, "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without."

Mixology:
Let's face it. Everyone loves a good drink. While not prone to overindulgence herself, Nicole has made a point of honing her skills in mixology--first in theory, then when she came of age, through practical experience. She has a fair working knowledge of some standard and popular drinks, and is not averse to inventing her own on occasion.

Piano:
Nicole began playing piano at an early age, and has maintained a love of the instrument and playing music throughout her life.

Sewing:
It's less expensive to either sew your own clothing, or to up-cycle vintage/thrift items. As such, Nicole has made a point of learning this skill.

Nicole has a small apartment near her workplace in Brooklyn. It's not much but has the basic necessities, and a few niceties she's cobbled together from thrift and antique shops.

Nicole has a secondhand Viking sewing machine, Rose model, in excellent condition with all the necessary attachments.

Bullying:
If Nicole witnesses someone being bullied, whether mutant, human, metahuman, alien, or otherwise, it is one of the rare instances she will become well and truly angry. Tied in with her Emotional weakness.

Emotional:
Currently, Nicole remaining calm is what helps her maintain some semblance of control over her telekinesis. In emotional situations, that control slips, leading to possible emotionally-related outbursts.

Family:
Nicole's family is, unfortunately, rabidly anti-mutant. At age 18, she broke off all ties with them for this reason and is effectively without kin.
