Synopsis:	Death Locket is brought out into the world to see if she's ready for integration into society. It goes kinda...well...bit from column A, bit from column B...

Rebecca Ryker has posed:
Rebecca Ryker is sitting behind a glass wall, looking at some cartoons.

"She's a good kid," the scientist tells Agents Watson. "We've been monitoring her closely since she was brought in. Not a single blip on her psych evalutations, and her cybernetic parts show only helpful responses, modulating her body to keep her healthy. At this point it's a matter of letting her go, and we don't do that without some level of support. If you think you're up for taking her out, that is."

He's not bossy, like some higher-rankers are.

Rebecca turns, her left eye a red light bulb instead of a human eye. She looks like a mini-Cyborg, but the screens show that she's more than half metal. Biseced down the middle, she's a science experiment more than a human. "Agent..." the scientist looks at Koga, uncertain how to place him, but aware of the covert nature of this relationship. "Some level of subtlety would be very helpful. In case we've mistaken how dangerous this is."

Dangerous. She's watching a cartoon. This is going to be boring as eff duty.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Agent Watson is here as she's of the omre personable types. She's not a senior agent. And as one of the more outgoing types in SHIELD hopefully her presence will go a little bit easier for the girl that's having to psychologically adapt to everything that she'd gone through. She might at some way be physically okay..

But her mind would still be damaged. Even with however long she had been in therapy. Mary Jane has taken with her a bag of chocolate and a couple of holiday plushies.

Koga Miura has posed:
Koga was somewhat personable. In some star struck way. He hadn't killed anyone just by looking at them so far, and he was on hand in case he was needed for both mystic healing and more physical restraint. He was also dressed more like a biker than your average SHIELD agent. Brown jacket, black shirt, jeans.

The man looks at the scientist and shrugs, "It's why I'm not currently seven feet tall and in organic armor. About as subtle as I get. Besides, she's probably better at this than I am?" He motions at Mary Jane.

He still managed to at least get a small gift basket of various treats in a Christmas theme to bring.

Overall, he's trying his best to give the impression of not being that impressive. Nor dangerous. He was there to help with some support if needed.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord enters quietly, a coffee cup in hand. He enters quietly b4cause he has made a number of wrong turns and ended up in the wrong place to meet stares. He enters this place. Ted is about to leave until he sees Becca. The engineer in him takes over. He blinks behind his goggles. Cybernetics. First phase reconstruction. Hopefully humaniform mods to follow. Cybernetics are related to robotics, prostheses, sensors. Robotics were one of his jams. Cyber stuff was a side hustle. He stays put, silently standing by the door. He catches sight of the rd haired agent, who seems familiar.

Rebecca Ryker has posed:
The scientist in charge of this nods, tapping his tablet to enter a few codes. The door clicks, unlocking, just as Ted enters the room. He glances up, then nods to the fellow scientist.

"Unfortunately she lacks her father's level of intelligence, but really that's all to the good for fitting into the world outside." Glancing at their gifts, he adds, "Perhaps you'd like to take her to a haagen-daaz or something of that sort."

Then he sighs, wondering where his life went wrong. He used to deal with the high profile cases. "If she manifests weaponry, do tell me. I'd have something interesting to look at then."

The girl inside looks up as she registers the door unlocking. She really does not look like she's going to 'fit in' out there. But she rises, going to the door, and opens it to peek out.

She could be considered cute, if she wasn't a scarred monstrosity. Even her human bits are damaged. But she's got this deer in the headlights look on her..

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would wince over at the scientist, "Thanks. So how's she acclimating?" That's ultimately doctor-patient confidentiality. "And we have extended care and a permanent living facility setup for her?" Those are the sorts of things that are always going to be hardest. Even if the girl can go out and live..

It's always going to be hard. Mary Jane goes over and gives a smile to Ted, faintly remembering him as well. She would wave at the girl, "Hey there. How you doing?" She would offer to Rebecca, moving to put the 'gifts' over to the side. "And what'cha watching?" She would arch her neck to see the cartoon.

Koga Miura has posed:
The peeking out and the door opening sound has Koga turning that way. He gives a small wave to the look. "Hello." He offers a hopefully welcoming smile before following Mary Jane's lead on the gifts.

Once he does, he moves out of the way. He sighs, "At least this one isn't getting attacked by ninjas." He says.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord watches as the door opens and gifts are presented. Well, probably the richest guy in the room and no gift for once. He reaches for his pockets but realizes he has no pockets in this rig. He links his arms behind his back a little awkwardly. Then he pulls his goggles off to look at the cyber girl and smile.

Rebecca Ryker has posed:
Apparently Cartoon Network is showing a My Little Pony segment, which was at least vaguely entertaining the girl. She glances back as Mary asks, then just looks back at the redhead without saying a word. Her eyes widen a bit, perhaps. It's no wonder they're not afraid of her, she's basically a pony herself.

"Her father gifted her with the most advanced cybernetics known to man, so please don't break her." He treates her like a thing, not like a person. Which might be part of the problem, as the girl winces at the treatment.

She comes out, then looks at the three (?) who are here for her. "Are we going for more tests?" she asks, sounding almost hopeful. "I've seen this one already. I've seen all of Netflix I think." She has been in captivity for a while. Oh, she thinks that you're all here for more of the same. Tests, and more tests.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod over at the scientist and let out a sigh, "No.." She would smile, "We're taking you out of here. We're heading out for a walk. You could use some fresh air." Her tone is quiet and cheerful. "And I'll make sure to let whomever thinks that you're only allowed to have Netflix get a reprimand and be made to watch Beavis and Butt-Head for the remainder of their duty assignments here."

Then again with SHIELD someone might very well like that. "MIster Kord, you t hink you can do some things to help her?"

Koga Miura has posed:
Koga hums a bit as he looks around, then blinks. "Really? I don't think I've seen that one. Or did it just make it to the states while I was on the road?" Koga voices.

He looks considerate as he eyes the TV. Then looks to Ted, "Oh, um... hi. I'm Koga Miura."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord waves to Koga. "Ted Kord -the Blue Beetle." He walks over to Becca and says, "My name is Ted -as I said. Nice to meet you. These fine people say you need a place to stay and some foster care. I'll be glad to discuss that. But maybe we can start with a walk around and a snack? then, I guess you could see my place if you like. I build robots and aircraft there. I never really got into the ponies. Prairie Pals was my jam. I do have the series. It was more action-y." He extends a hand to Becca.

Rebecca Ryker has posed:
Becca looks back at her screen, then to MJ. She doesn't know who Bavis and Butthed are but she's pretty certain that it's not on Netflix. She'd KNOW. Then, uncertainly, she says, "They just added new episodes. I binged them last night before they shut off..my..eyes. For the night."

That came out really painfully, like she isn't exactly copasetic with being something you can turn on and off at a whim. Gee I wonder why.

Looking like she's trying to keep from hyperventilating, the girl looks at everyone and says, "..." Then tries again, closing her eyes. "I'm...Becky. Or whatever, can we really leave?"

"I'd definitely recommend it, Becca. You need to get out of these rooms." That's her scientist/handler, who really needs to learn how to handle children. But he's not wrong.

But she's also not ready to be alone. That much is blatantly obvious.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would look over at Becca, "We're wanting to make sure we have somewhere you can live full time that will be safe for you and give you a way to heal. That's not my call, but we are trying to make sure you have somewhere you can go and have as normal a life as possible."

She would offer ehr hand over. "And a walk would be fun. You could get outside, there's some nice parks around here. We could take you for dinner."

Koga Miura has posed:
Koga nods, looking at Ted, then at Becca. "She's right. Much as it might feel kinda safe in the walls, well... you should still get out there. At least to try to fit in, try to be a bit human. I mean, when's the last time you felt wind in your hair or the sun on your skin?"

Koga then looks at Ted and blinks a few times. "Blue Beetle? Well, at least you're not stuck with Ryu Senshi. I still need to find a better name there."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord looks over at Koga. "I succeeded the first Beetle so it's kind of an honor." He drops his hand as there are a lot of people offering theirs.

"C'mon. You might have a little fun. You got a bunch of bodyguards... I'm buying. What would you like to do?"

Rebecca Ryker has posed:
Yeah, Becca doesn't seem comfortable shaking hands. She's small, and her hand is metal...

It's not you, it's her.

Fifteen minutes later.

The car that Becca is holding off the ground is still technically touching, on the front end. She lifted it with her metal hand, when it was about to roll over onto someone in the intersection. There's an accident right next to it, and two other cars are smashed, but she's just standing there, holding a car. In the air.

"I don't think I'm ready to be out in the world yet!" she yells, as very real people are very really hurt here. It's just a car accident, and she didn't cause it. Just bad luck.

Something to tell her handler though.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would glance over at Becca, "That's finee, it's fine. You're okay." SHe's affirming to the girl. She glances over at the accidents, seeing if the people in the vehicles are okay and emergency services are on the scene. "And you take things one day at a time. And you figure out where you're going and we'll help you the entire way."

She has her hands folded over her chest while glancing at Ted and Koga.

Koga Miura has posed:
Koga blinked a few times. All that had happened so quickly. He looks at what has happened, and moves to begin helping out. But first...

"Becca? Listen, put the car down slowly please. Think of it as a baby or something fragile. After that, you can help us out with getting people out of the wrecked cars."

Koga smiles, "Trust me, I know what it is like to have that kind of strength. But right now, we need your help to make sure we can help some of these people. After that, we can figure out what else you can do before doing much else out here."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord looks back at Mary Jane and says, "I thought a slow clap was appropriate. You want to shoot me?" He walks around to the driver's side. The Beetle looks in at the driver. "Could you shut your engine and get out of the car? I think you better take a break from driving for a bit. You were nearly compounding an accident. I think I hear ambulances. Let the EMTs check you out. yeah... shit off your engine so she can put your car down. No... shut the engine and she'll put you down... Yeah I'm a superhero. Yes a real one... know what? I'm going to help the injured out. You do you." He walks over to the accident. Hmmm, need a fulcrum here.

Rebecca Ryker has posed:
Becca sets the car down, holding it in place. Easily, but only with her metal hand. Her human one seems to want to make it stop, she's actually pulling at her own hand, trying to make it stop. "I can't let go," she whimpers. But if she did let go, the car would hurtle toward the other accident, hurting people. Her cybernetics are acting, without her permission, to save lives.

The guy inside shuts down his engine, finally, and then the girl lets go, leaving huge fingerprints in his metal frame. She sits down and curls up, while emergency services start to arrive. Right where MJ and Koga can be there to help.

Ted, though, would get a huge hint. Her cybernetic components have clearly got separate motivational elements. Which means that there's programming involved which may be an issue.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would go to take her fingers up to her lips to laugh quietly. The tone is meant to help to relax things some. She goes to mouth over at Ted 'thank you' at the way the man is taking charge of things and helping to relax them. She goes to try and smile down at Becca with a 'see, it's gonna be okay' look.

Then as she tries to figure out what is going on with Becca's cybenetics, resisting the urge to go voer and try to get the grip to 'release'.

Koga Miura has posed:
The fact that she says she can't has Koga looking at it carefully, then moving around to make sure the guy keeps the engine off. "Take the keys out, too. I don't want you to try to run her over. She's a friend and been through a lot more. That and I can sue you more than you're worth." He says to the driver before moving back around to Becca.

Then he moves to look at her carefully, crouching beside her, "Hey, it's fine. You did the right thing, maybe? Or maybe they did? You said you couldn't before, so that means a lot. Right now, I have one question for you?"

He glances at Mary Jane, then nods at the second accident. "Do you want to see if you can help the people in that accident?"

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord soon goes walking back towards Rebecca. "The EMTs told me go away. Shot me in the goggles with a rubber glove." He shows the rubber glove for proof. He drops down next to the Dethlumpette. "You did really well. Are you afraid you're not ready for the World or it's not ready for you? Or are you having unexpected design features come up? You would be amazed what kind of crap people try to sell as design features. But... some are good but annoying. They keep you from leaving your car lights on, or locking yourself out. You just get used to dealing with them."

He looks up at Koga. "I think she needs a break to process what happened. We all had a lifetime to get used to our bodies. She's doing it all really fast. And she stopped an accident."

Rebecca Ryker has posed:
Uncertain who to answer first, Becca stays wrapped around herself. Her mechanical bits aren't hurting her, even though she's nearly hysterical. So that's good.

"I can't help them, I can't help anyone. I can't help." She starts saying that, repeating it over and over. So yeah, she's going to need to call the outing to an end.

It went well, I thought.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would look over at Rebecca uncertaintly, then going to give the girl a gentle hug, "It's okay, it's okay. You're fine. You helped people." She would look over at Ted and give a nod. Then go to speak ot him quietly, "Do you think you could help us work on a program to help her feel.. More at ease with herself?" Not saying 'learn to control herself'.

Koga Miura has posed:
Koga shakes his head, moving over to put a hand on Becca's flesh and blood shoulder. "C'mon. Let's get you back inside. And to some where that we can see just well... how strong you are, and figure out the ways that you can help people."

His voice is kept nice, soothing, and he's trying to get them out of the streets at least.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord rubs the back of his neck. He also unconsciously drops a hand on Becca's back, somewhat protectively. "She's a person. Program is a poor choice of words. I mean... if she wants to stay at Kord Co. with me, she can. I have staff that can help her. I guess I can help with tech stuff. I have staff to help her. A lot of staff... "

He gives Rebecca a slight nudge, on the organic arm. "Ok, you have options: stay here, get tested or come with me for a couple days. Which is not as bad as some people make it sound. I have a two meter monitor screen. Oh, we can fly back if you like."

Rebecca Ryker has posed:
Rebecca Ryker's programming only takes over in one situation. That situation is very tightly defined for it; the computer in her head has been given strict orders. In case of lowered consciousness, assess the situation. If threat is determined, assert control over peripheral parts and protect Rebecca.

Becca is not entirely coherent, and her mind is spinning. Her metal hand reaches across, brushes away the hands touching her body, then IT reaches up and...

Pats her on the head. It pats Rebecca on the head, to calm her down. With her own arm.

And that's where we'll end for today. Because this will need to be addressed before she can move ....anywhere.
