When the walls, come tumbling down

Synopsis:	After Seismic attacks a coffee shop, Invincible is left with taking care of the building while Prisma faces the Doc! She gets a timely assist from Shazam. And Bando 'tries' to help.

Mark Grayson has posed:
There's a coffee shop near Rain Beau Bright's Piano Bar, it's a place that Mark and Bunny often visit before heading off on their days, either at school or heroing. It's underneath a tentament building, one of the series of shops that line the first floor of the building.

This morning, however... Doc Seismic just wanted a large coffee. Black.

The coffee girl looked at him oddly. "Ya mean a jumbo? We only have Jumbo, Super Jumbo, and Extra Jumbo."

And that's when Doc Seismic lost his mind, screaming and yelling and before anyone knows it - there's a loud explosion as the coffee bar, and the two adjoining buildings next to it are damaged, sending out concrete, debris, shattering windows and flipping a car that was just outside over.

A young couple, taking their child to school are trapped in the car and screaming in panic - which is a chorus with the people in the building that are screaming and crying and trying to flee.

A blue and yellow streak flies out of a nearby building and throws Doc Seismic out of the coffee shop, causing him to skid along the ground and hit a mail truck. "Prisma, I gotta take the building and keep it from falling!" Invincible calls to his girlfriend. "You got Seismic?!"

The old man swivels as he rises to his feet as he preares to level the ground around him, coffee spilled all over the front of his tunic as he prepares another shockwave. "I'll FLATTEN you all!"

Bunny Macleod has posed:
    It was a nice, normal morning, a casual patrol. Prisma was done up in her dark pink light armor, with its shin and elbow protectors, goggles lowered and fading-back-to-blonde pink hair pinned up in a pair of tight Space Buns with her hi-lo scarf belt, when the street sort of exploded beneath Prisma and her favorite patrol partner.

    Invincible dropped her as she landed skating in, ducking and weaving around the exploded coffee shop debris (why is it always her favorite coffee shops?!) and she leapsup to grind along the side of a busted police vehicle.

    <<I've got Seismic -- get the building stable or we'll have way more collateral damage!!>> she replies.

    Open band, Bunny calls out <<This is Prisma of the Young Avengers -- we've got multiple injured, a collapsing building, people trapped in cars and a bad guy who really wants to shake things up -- if there's anyone out there listening, could use a hand!>> she calls out, and as Seismic threatens to flatten them all, she leaps up with:

    "Who you callin' *Flat* Boomer?"

    and goes to deliver a kick with her skates to Seismic's stomach!

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam got into the habit of wearing the Kryptonian ear bud Ms. IUn-Ze gave him for their joint mission. Now, for the first time he knows what's going on. For all his power Billy does not showboat. Given his choice he'd spot Invincible, holding up the building and let the Viltrumit deal with the villain, It must be his villain, right?

Then again, he recognizes... Bunny! Holy Carp! He actually recognized a fellow cape! Well, no one mists a friend of his. There is a sonic boom as he decelerates overhead then drops in front of the villain. Take up his attention, then pop him!

"Youre not flattening anyone on my watch... sorry, didn't get your name." He needs to work on his banter.

Bando George has posed:
    The sudden sound alerts Bando, who was actually looking for a job. Something that is okay with him leaving suddenly to be a superhero. He's found that's not something you should tell people in an interview, though. Dressed in a nice white polo with his dark jacket, he was on his way to the next interview when the sound catches him off guard.

    Rescue! That's what you do, Bando. He doesn't even have his superhero outfit with him. That's okay. Just do what you gotta do. He goes sprinting down the street, and then cuts a corner with a *fwump* as he disappears and reappears near the coffee shop.

    "Oh snap!" He looks at Bunny, and at Invincible. Oh, he's seen that guy. And a Young Avenger? Ooh, this a chance to look good for the big heroes. He leaps up and runs across the hood of a car, his backpack flailing back and forth on his shoulders as he looks at the problem. "OK Bando. Stabilize the building..." He starts studying the way that the building is trying to fall, looking to see if there's anything he can remove or reposition within to keep it from collapsing.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Yeah, I got this, **no problem**!" Invincible calls out from inside the building's ruins. His shoulders straighten, knees pushing as he holds onto the load-baring beam and growls. "What I wouldn't give for some heat vision." he laments as debris falls around him.

People are finally getting the clue as they are steadily evacuating the building, and a man in a firefighter's shirt is working hard to pull the family out of the overturned car.

Seismic snarls, "The ground's flat!" he yells at Bunny, "You need to go back to school!" As she rushes in with a kick, he suddenly slams his hands into the ground. It /heaves/ beneath him, throwing up large rock shields for the kicking teenager to slam into as Shazam cracks the sound barrier. It shatters the rocks around him, and Seismic screams, cluthing his head, eyes wide. "More of you! You all need to be class!" he yells like a deranged teacher.

Both of his gaunlets are slapped together, creating a large pulse wave that's cracking the Richter's at around a six, and could liquifey Bunny if she doesn't get a shield (hers or a Shazam meatshield) up in time. Shazam might actually feel it as it slams into him, a rippling across his body as the mad Doc unleashes, tearing up the street, buildings and the immediate area around him - fortunately, he seems to be keeping it focused. The smaller the are, the more power he gets?

When Bando calls out to Mark, there's a chuff of a laugh. "Holding steady so far!" he calls out. "You able to get me some things to stick in this whole to stabalize it?" Construction materials, cars, whatever, Invincible just needs to get it stabalized.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
    "Only school's that's in right now is hard knooooaAACK!" PRISMA protests as the rocks draw up. She pops a brief shield to rebound off of as she skids backwards, and was about to say something else when there's a red and white flash!

    A FLASH? No, even better -- Shazam sweeps in for the guard, startling both Seismic and Bunny out of their banter.

    "Oh hey! You're Shazam!" she squeaks out "ohmigod this is so cool hi I'm PRISMA and I'm with the Young Avengers and this is Doc Seismic who's part-timin' as a truancy officer apparenteeeeeeeeeeeeeee---"

    Fortunately he's keeping it focused.

    Unfortunately there is a Shield Bunny, and Bunny gives a squeak before she brings up her hands and tries to bubble Seismic!

    "I can't hold him for long! Invincible's great at being Supportive but he can only do one building at a time!" she states to Shazam!

Billy Batson has posed:
The burst of seismic energy is something new. It doesn't disintegrate Billy, It shakes Shazam to his core. He feels his teeth rattle. He fights to clear his head. The energy bubble is new too. He had no idea Bunny was one of us. "Nice... to meet you Prisma. Can I fly that bubble of villain up into the sky, away from the ground? I think he'd be easier to handle away from the Earth." That way he can stop hitting Shazam over the head with the continental shelf. "I just need a second."

Bando George has posed:
    "Oh man, I love puns!" Bando declares as he hears Bunny's quip. Focus Bando! The young man looks back and forth at the pieces, selects a large piece of rubble. "I wonder if I can rotate that," he considers, He reaches out to it, and *fwump* It reappears next to...no, no next to, at the same place as Invincible. Way to make a first impression. Good news is, it's rotated! Bad news? There's a two thousand pound piece of rubble that has decided it belongs where Mark is standing.

Mark Grayson has posed:
Seismic was winding up for another attack when suddenly he's surrounded by pink hard-light shielding. "No, no, you're the ones that are supposed to be in detention!" he yells, trying to shatter Prisma's shields with another massive seismic burst, even as he screams and bleeds from his ears from the feedback of it all - and is that a tooth coming out?

Clearly he has no compuctions about using his powers upon himself, as long as he gets to strike at something. "No! No! PUT ME DOWN! I need to feel the groud!"

Inside the building, Invincible had requested Bando to provide material - but he wasn't expecting...

The rock suddenly shifts in where he is. And with as fast as the displacement was, getting hit by Juggernaut doesn't cut it. It's like getting run over by a train of Juggernaut's all at once. He feels his chest crush in, the blood spraying from his mouth and nose as he is shoved out of the way.

The building drops, partially collapsing because Invuincible could not take the time to properly move it into place. The loud rumble carries across the streets as Invincible disappears beneath the pile.

Seismic looks up. And he stops his attacks as he looks at the collapsed building. And he starts to jump up and down inside the bubble, cheering and laughing. "I GOT HIM! I FINALLY GOT HIM! WOOHOOO! Invincible's NOT SO INVINCIBLE NOW!"

Bunny Macleod has posed:
    Bunny holds her sheild, and she winces a moment, concentrating on keeping it in one piece as Seisemic rattles and rolls!

    "IT's... the... bracers -- they have -- sonic emitters I thiiiiiiiiiin---" she pauses. She hears Invincible's breath over the coms, and something wet.

    It breaks her concentration as the building collapses.

    She doesn't even notice Seismic's tooth drop.

    "... Invincible...? Invincible -- Sitrep?!" she squeaks out, reaching for her earpiece before she looks up at Shazam, and then back to the building.

    And then quietly:

    "Shazam. Can you take Seismic up where he can't hurt anyone?"

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam growls at Seismic's crowing. He hopes Prisma and Bando can help Invincible. He grabs the deranged scientist. His hands lock fingers with the villain's gauntlets and then Seismic's being lifted. Fast. A mile up will induce hyoxia and knock him out. The seismic pulses hurt. He's hurt worse but he's nowhere near his top speed due to it. In truth of all the Shazams, he is a below average flyer. Doesn't matter. He's here, they aren't.

"Oh man... I hope you don't knock me out... I feel faint... don't want to drop you... still didn't get your name, nutcase. Gotta say, I was duking it out with the Trickster and he was way more fun..." Five hundred meters. Keep it together.

Bando George has posed:
    Bando winces as his attempt to help knocks Invincible into the rubble. "Shoot," he quickly looks at a car. He didn't want to use a car, that belongs to someone and they will not be happy. But he needs something and he doesn't have time to think. He reaches out to try to put it under the collapsing structure. *fwump*

    He should have taken time to calm himself, but he was in a hurry. Now the car is farther under the structure than it should have been. And...is it made of jello? It loses its shape, and suddenly flops apart without even taking a hit from the buildling. "Gah! No!" he blurts. "Why now?!" He should just start pulling people. Despite the fact that he has no heavy lifting powers, he goes running into what areas are still accessible, looking for the people who are trapped. Maybe something can be moved by regular human strength.

Mark Grayson has posed:
Seismic's cheering is cut off as Shazam grabs him. "Awk!" And the entire way up, he's trying his level best to try to liquifey Shazam's insides. "Why? Won't? You? BREAK!" he cries out as they launch through the atomsphere. Higher and higher. and his breathing becomes labored. Short gasps as he tries to catch it. "...I see what you're doing..." he manages in a wheeze of breath.

But soon enough, the earthquake on Shazam's skin subsides as Seismic slips into unconsciouness and slumps into Shazam's arm. Awww, he's taking care of the elderly.

Back on the ground, as the jello splashes on the building, other than the sound of fire alarms and smoke detectors, there's nothing. Either Invincible's ear piece or Invincible himself is out.

It's several moments later, but as Shazam is returning with Seismic's unconscious form, the rubble starts to shift and move. There's a loud groan and the sound of breaking cement and splintering wood. Invincible's in there somewhere. Still alive apparently. As if Bunny ever had doubt.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
    Bunny knew that if Mark was dead from this, she was going to have to beat Seismic to death. Not even because it was Mark -- because she would have to go and tell Nolan and Debbie Grayson that their son died.

    She had slowly been approaching the collapsed building, listening on her earpiece before she had seen the rubble shift.

    Bunny climbs up into the rubble, looking dispondedly around until she hears the groan.

    "Invincible?" she calls out, and she moves some items around, bracing her skates as she moves, then listens -- and then hears the groan, and the breaking cement and wood.

    "INVINCIBLE!" she calls out, and she dives for the rubber, bodily moving chunks of concrete as much as she can!

    "I'm here. I'm here!"

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam lands and almost doesn't stick the landing. "Hey gimme those!" He yanks the gauntlets from the dizzy villains. "No you can't have them back!" He hands seismic to a late arriving cop. Then he walks over to the collapsed building, looking for anything he can do to be of help. It seems pretty clearly flattened. He moves to the crunched car and starts tearing it apart to free the family.

Bando George has posed:
    Bando gets ahold of a woman in the small opening, trapped under a large heavy beam. "Okay, get it to together," he says, taking a breath. He reaches out to the beam to teleport it, and *fwump*. It doesn't go where he wants. He was just trying to get it out. Instead, it reappears far too close, and this time it's him that gets struck by the removal. He goes skidding out of the hole, though the woman isn't trapped anymore.

    As for Bando? He just got his white shirt horribly dirty and is knocked out cold by his own power, laying there on the sidewalk. Ouch.

Mark Grayson has posed:
As Bunny moves some of thre rubble, there's a grip on her hand. She can immediately make out that the yellow and blue gloves of Invincible. "Hey, babe." he manages, on his hands and knees. "Gonna need some help." he admits, moving slightly and trying to push up.

The front of his uniform is splattered with blood, as if his nose and mouth. With the fine powder of the concrete all over him, he looks like a grey, bloodied zombie in blue and yellow. Below him, curled up to hide beneath his more stout frame is the coffee shop worker from the start of all this. She was hiding beneath the heavy oaken counter that did not collapse in the inital blast.

Bando is able to get the shop worker out, freeing up that bit of a problem anymore! The young woman looks around to see where Bando, and looks confused. "Hey, did anyone see who saved me?!" she calls out after crawling out of the hole.

Shazam is easily able to open the car, the people inside having been waiting for rescue for a while. As he works on freeing them, the kid in the back seat is so excited. "I thought it was gonna be someone I didn't know, but it's Shazam!" he says, waving his hand to the hero. All his panic is gone now that someone he knows is there.

Now that he's free, Invincible grabs Bunny's hand and using her for a small support, manages to pull himself free from the debris, before he wraps his arms around her and squeezes. "I'm okay." he promises her.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
    "We're gonna hafta get some better quality earpieces." Bunny states as she pulls up on Mark, balancing on her toe-stops for extra support.

    She takes a deep breath, and looks to the shop worker to give her a once over, and then smiles up at Mark.

    "Shazam took care of Seismic. He's in police custody now." she explains, and then she hugs on Mark.

    Eeeh the blood will wash off their uniforms.

    And she looks over to Shazam freeing the people in the car, and sees the little kid being very appreciative.

    "Think he's gonna hug Shazam's leg?"

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam doesn't give the kid a chance to hug his leg. Instead he hoists the little fellow on his shoulder and walks over to rejoin the other heroes. He looks over Mark and says, "You should sit down and rest. You'll heal faster... or do you want a lift to St. Vincent's? Hey, I got a fan." He points to the kid who waves.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"I'm good. Best medicine right here." Invincible says as he squeezes Bunny for a moment, and waves to the little fan. "Hey, cool. Us young heroes need fans too!" Not that Shazam appears young right now - but Mark and Bunny are. "We're working on it."

Releasing Bunny, he makes the introductions. "This is Prisma and I'm Invincible. We're both with the Young Avengers, thank you so much for the assist."
