The Analysis of Coffee and Doughnuts
Date of Scene: 16 March 2024
Location: Joe's Restaurant and Cafe
Synopsis: Doughnuts are eaten. Coffee is consumed
Cast of Characters: J'onn J'onzz, M'gann M'orzz, Caleb Dykstra, Kyle Rayner

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn J'onzz is going for an early morning coffee and doughnuts near Happy Harbour and is trying to teach a lesson on the true appreciation of Coffee and Doughnuts. "So, you see, you have to change your endorphin system to include a cycle so the caffine can effect it. Elsewise, its just hot brown not that good liquid. It helps you connect to them and is a very pleasant sensation.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"But isn't it also an addictive substance? It seems.. illogical.. to risk addiction to join in with an activity," M'gann is wearing her Megan Morse face today for the lesson in social inclusion via coffee and doughnuts. It's apparently a very old human social ritual! She's all for joining in the social rituals, but this one seems a little.. strange. Still! She has her coffee and a few different types of doughnut to try out.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"It seems 'illogical'?" A familiar voice, for Megan at least.

Just a couple seconds ago, Caleb walked into Joe's and spotted Megan, familiar friendly face, and decided to approach. He catched her just in time to hear her saying something was illogical. So, time for an in-joke, here.

"So, you have decided to embrace the Vulcan philosophy. A hard path indeed."

He grins, even chuckles.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle Rayner is in the neighborhood and out of uniform. Those in Titans, and League, may recognize him. He's starting to trust those within the team to see his face, even if there's not a proper introduction. He's wearing a black hoodie that has a bit of color swirled about in a square. It looks like an old tube tv when it's on the fritz, snowing in color rather than black and white. All black silhouettes of various characters strung about. The words "Regular Show" rest beneath that. Obviously, the silhouettes are recognizable to anyone familiar with the show.

He's wearing a pair of dark gray cargo pants, a light gray pair of fingerless gloves. He'll get in line and catch the Vulcan terminology. "A little bit of an illogical path if you ask me, but the Vulcan have always been a little weird to me," Kyle won't include any stories about meeting highly logical races. They can be quite scary. Right now, he's just planning on getting a simple coffee and maybe a good cream filled donut. The breakfast of heroes, as he likes to think of it.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn J'onzz smiles to M'gann and nods, "That is the point. Its impossible to identify with humans if you assume everything they do is illogical. And remember, all you have to do to end the addiction is just shift your physiology. Mental addition is just a matter of meditation." He can quit Oreos any time he wants. Any time.

He smiles warmly to Caleb and nods and smiles politely to Kyle. They havent met, but he's definitely read his file and the man has done solid work for the League. "I find the Vulcans to be an admirable race. Somewhere in the multiverse they make the world a better place. Very Martian. But, I agree with you Kyle" it is a BIT off being on a first name basis with someone you havent met face to face, but Mr. Rayner would feel even weirder, "Sometimes you have to be a LITTLE illogical and coffee and doughnuts are worth it.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"I am embracing the attempt at joining in social rituals that I was not brought up with. I still question things that seem dangerous or illogical," Megan responds to Caleb primly before offering a quick smile and lifting a hand in the Vulcan greeting with a V between middle and ring fingers. "Hello Caleb, how are you doing?" She glances to J'onn and lifts one brow at him, perhaps a quick mental back-and-forth over his love affair with Oreos that he can absolutely quit at any time no really.

Kyle's appearance has her lifting a free hand in greeting and offering a quick smile. She's not in her Miss Martain persona and she's not sure he's met her any other way, so she soft-plays it and just smiles in greeting. "Hello. You, too, are indulging in the social ritual of coffee and doughnuts?"

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Funny thing, I have always thought the Vulcans to be nothing but Star Trek franchise", Caleb reconsiders, "But in theory... Yes, they could be out there, in some part of the multiver..."

His brain skids on his reasoning, now encompassing a newer perspective...

Okay, back now. "Damn, it could be possible." So, he surrenders to the law of probability, and salutes Megan the Vulcan way. "Megan. I trust the morning finds you well." He looks at J'onn, "And you must be Megan's uncle. I'm Caleb."

Breaking away from the Vulcan persona, he takes a seat, if allowed.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle gives "Jon" a look. It's odd to have a stranger recognize you. A brow raises, "Have we met, sir?" Kyle extends a hand. He's not sure if he's been tailed or not. There's a little bit of suspicion. However, Kyle will add the Vulcan greeting as well. Although, Miss Martian isn't recognized. The talk about "social rituals" gives him an idea they're not of Earth.

"One of the best rituals of the day," Kyle says cheerily as he is not going to let suspicion throw off positivity. They seem to be trying to do good, normalish things. So, no harm, no foul. "How are the two of you?" he asks curiously and then he looks to Caleb. "What is your favorite Star Trek race? Call a fellow nerd curious. I'm Kyle," he introduces himself to the group.

"How is everyone's morning going?"

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn J'onzz says, "I am her Uncle," he smiles warmly, "Plased to remeet you Caleb." He isnt really TRYING very hard at the secret identity thing; its not that hes bad at it, its just that this persona works and lives in a totally different city, and he isnt painting a giant sign over his head (Telepathically or otherwise) that says "I am a Martian."
5rHe realizes that neither of them might know him like this and doesnt disabuse them of the confusion, "Pleased to meet you, I'm John. I'm a police detective." He has a flat humor this voice, "I'm Megan's uncle from out west. at least I was raised there. The desert." He smiles, "I am doing much better with Coffee. My favorite Star Trek race is the humans...." he smirks. Its a legit answer.

His eyes twinkle at his niece, "Always question Megan, always. an inquisitive mind is a sharp mind.""

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
Laughing as J'onn's comment sends Caleb's mind spinning off into all sorts of possibilities, she winds down to a smile aimed at Caleb as she nods, "I am! And yes, this is my Uncle John. Uncle John, this is Caleb Dykstra. He's taking classes at Happy Harbor."

Turning her smile towards Kyle, she lifts a hand, "Hello! I'm Megan Morse. It's great to meet you, would you care to join us?" She motions towards the table, even as she sends Kyle a mental image, transposing the images of Miss Martian and Martian Manhunter over the images of Megan Morse and her Uncle John. A subtle way of letting him know that he does, indeed, know who they are.. even if they haven't been formally introduced!

To J'onn, Megan smiles, "I do, uncle. My professors either love or hate me because of it." Because Megan goes to school! In Metropolis, sure, but she went to high school here in Happy Harbor! Which might explain why she and her uncle are here!

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Now that's a philosophy I can get by", Caleb says to J'onn. "And my sister follows it, too. I make sure of it."

Looking at Megan, he smiles, "So, how's class been?" He grimaces some, "Don't tell me you got teachers that go against sharp minds and just want to dump crap on your head?" He sighs, and is about to say something, but decides against it.

To Kyle, he introduces himself, "Hey there. I'm Caleb. You go to school here? Or gonna start college here?"

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle nods hesitantly, a detective. That doesn't help those suspicions. That explains the love of donuts? Maybe.

Kyle still has an uneasy feeling, "John. Megan. Nice to meet you both," he does his best to smile.

"Caleb," and he shakes his head. "I'm graduated. Looking for work," and then he looks about. "My adopted sister does go there. Her name is Xio, she's hard to miss if you know her," and Kyle has an odd bond with Crush. They both needed a friend. Family. It took a little time to figure it out, but they did.

Then Megan pushes on his mind, he holds his head because metal intrusions are odd. Then when he looks upon the Martians the green faces stay there. Realization comes to his face, "Ah! Nice to meet you both like this. We shouldn't be strangers," he says and then looks to Caleb. Kyle wonders if he is a hero, too. Seems too coincidental to only have three of four heroes together.'

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn J'onzz blinks as he hears Kyle is looking for work. "Why...didnt you say something? I know some people I can call with your skill set. And I didnt know you had an adopted sister....you learn something new every day." He produces a card and hands it to Kyle. It says John Jones, Police Detective." He nods, "Well, then dont be a stranger."

Jonn knows people and has collected many favors he rarely collects.

"I once considered teaching college; but except for elite private instintuions on examination of the ruthless political structure in academia, I do not think that would be a life for me.

He smiles warmly to Megan and nods, "Then you know which ones suck and which ones dont. Real intelligence isnt threatened by greater intelligence."

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"Classes are good! I'm really enjoying them, and even the difficult professors still have something to teach... sometimes if just the forebearance to listen to them espouse opinion as fact while maintaining my GPA... but some of them have actual knowledge to impart too," Megan flashes a small grin at him before nodding to John. "Yes, uncle. And I think it will get better as I progress in the school. SOme of the older students are able to help point out which professors are actually trying, and which ones are just riding tenure to retirement."

Her smile brightens when Kyle's demeanor shifts, giving a nod, "The pleasure is ours, Kyle. And I agree. We should make sure to keep in touch. New friends are always good." The mention of work has her glancing to John, then chuckling and looking back to Kyle, "What do you want to do, Kyle?" She glances to Caleb and adds, "My uncle knows a very wide spread of people across all walks. If you ever find yourself in need of employment, he's a good person to ask."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb actually laughs now, "Xiomara!!" See? He recognizes her. "Like a big sis, to me! And man, when she decides to bearhug... It's breathtaking, wouldn't you agree?" He smiles, "So I guess... Greetings, adoptive brother I never knew I had!"

"Oh, come on now", he directs to J'onn, "I'm sure you could find some wisdom to impart upon the leading minds of tomorrow - if any." He adds, taking note of what Megan says, "And a bit of mine, a corollary to what you just said: knowledge should not be influenced by opinion; for knowledge is what is, opinion is but what you think it is." He looks at both the Martians, "That is a cause for concern, one where some help would be very appreciated."

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"Thanks," Kyle says and he's a little skeptical about the connections. He also doesn't know about the League file on him that details his Masters in Arts in full detail. It may even have some rejection letters where he tries to freelance to various art projects from political cartoons to comic strips. "I'll have to give you my cell phone number," he says just trying to put his best foot forward on this one.

"The Pleasure is mine. And I'll give you my number, too," and Megan's question comes out. He breathes out, "Honestly, comic book art or animation," which is why the Hoodie may make a lot more sense. "However, I'll take whatever I can get as long as I don't work for exposure. I can do that on my own," he says knowing he may have to work in some different trenches. Work in projects that may not be his own.

"Greetings adoptive brother!" And Kyole grins. "Yep. Been in a few of those. Takes your breath away, literally." Kyle grins and then he just listens. A job and a brother, this is not the usual run for donuts and coffee.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn J'onzz stretches and fnishes his coffee and dooughnut. "I need to get to work. But it was good seeing you all; and definitely do that Kyle."

"The man that asks you to work for exposure should be exposed to being buried in the desert with ants for a few hours...not death...just....ant."

"Anywho, must be off. Megan, if you have professors giving you problems, let me know. And Caleb...of course I have things to impart....that doesnt mean I want to put my heart through a belnder to impart them." He heads out.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"You could always teach Criminal Justice type courses for people interested in pursuing degrees in that direction, uncle," Megan smiles at John before looking back to Caleb with a chuckle. "I assure you, I can get through the classes just fine. The number of 'bad' professors is very small, really. Though your concern is appreciated."

When J'onn rises up, she smiles to him and gives a nod, "Alright, uncle. It was great to see you again, we'll have to visit again soon."

Looking back to Kyle, she smiles, "That sounds like fun! And... I might actually be able to help. It wouldn't be *precisely* comic book work... but.. I know the Kents. I could try to ask Mr. Kent if they could use a comic artist at the Bugle? Do you focus more on the overall storyboarding and drawing, on the inking, or on the lettering? Or all you more of an all around?" Proving that she knows at least a little about the industry! Some of her friends are giant nerds, after all, she's gained an appreciation for the knowledge and skill that goes into it!

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle just listens for a few minutes, "Well, I am trained in art. Lots of styles, but that's why I am. Animation, comics, all of it," he admits honestly. Then he gives a nod about M'Gann wanting to help. Also, she knows her stiuff. So, he's genuinely impressed. "I do a bit of everything. I spent about three years out of the country studying. So, I can do it all, I do like a lot of stoyboards. But I do classical painting when I need to let out some emotion, or when the mood strikes. When it comes to classical art, charcoal pencils and paint are my favorites, but I try to save those for the quote, unquote, series art."

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"Do you prefer watercolors, oils, or acrylics when you paint?" Megan shows both an interest in and knowledge of art types! It helps that one of her electives is Art History, so she has a little more insight into art as a whole, though they're still in the Baroque period in class just now, so haven't gotten up to modern times just yet. "Sorry if I'm being, uhm.. nosy? I have an art elective currently, it's provoked a larger interest in art, and artists."

She has not as yet touched her coffee, however, preferring to nibble on a crueller style doughnut instead. Megan just doesn't really have a taste for coffee, preferring sparkling waters or juices. Still, she looks to Caleb to loop him back in, "Do you know what you want to major in, or are you looking to get through the required coursework and declare a major later?"

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb waves goodbye to J'onn, then returns to the conversation. To Megan, he says, "I think he'd make a great teacher, don't you think? I got the feeling from your uncle that he's very grounded. Younger minds nowadays could use that."

To Kyle, after listening for a while, he says. "Well, you're just starting, but... I dunno, would it be considered working for exposition to get an account on Patreon, or something?"

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"Oils for myself, but when I'm showing off or trying to be specific, I'll switch to watercolors or acrylics. In that order. I think water colors have a particular style," Kyle smiles a bit and shakes his head. "No no. Not being nosy at all. It's rare when I get talks like this," he says softly being honest within his words. "So, be nosier," and he gives a nod about the elective. "If you need a tutor or want a few painters, find me," it's nice to draw back on training.

Taking a drink of his coffee he savors the taste. Then takes a bite of the donut.

"I've thought of those and I do a few streams, have a small etsy store, but I still need experience to do what I want. Either a few years doing the online thing full time or as a job profession. Just show that I'm good enough to make an actual living."

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"He absolutely would. Because I grew up so isolated, Uncle John was instrumental in teaching me a lot of social rules and mores, but also just.. filling in gaps in my overall education." To loop Kyle into her 'human background', she asides, "I grew up in a very restrictive community, and was homeschooled until the death of my parents. Then I was sent to Uncle John, and he enrolled me into Happy Harbor for high school.. as you can imagine, I was very... shy. But I like to think I've grown!" She ends with a smile.

Back to the subject of art, she grins at the permission to dig deeper and gives a nod, "Is there an emotional connection to oils for you? Do they more accurately catch the feeling you wish to impart through your work?" The mention of showing off has her chuckling, "Well now, I insist on seeing some of your work. I have an apartment that I've been slowly decorating. Having a painting or two would be nice. And perhaps between Uncle John and myself, we can see them given out as gifts to some.. influential people that we know. You don't want to work 'for exposure', but perhaps what you need *is* exposure. Having your work shown in places where people will see it. Generate hype and interest. Get more views on your store and stream. Beast Boy is a friend, I can try to have him watch a few streams and if he likes the work, he might hype it on social media. Get younger eyes on it, too."

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle listens a little bit, "Well, if you ever want to see other cultures or things, ask. I can show you some places in Europe. They have a different vibe," Kyle thinks that maybe exposing M'gann to other cultures to help her find a "voice." There's a nod from Kyle, "It sounds like you have. You're asking me about art types," he says knowing that not just -everyone- knows those art questions.

"I save the paintings for serious stuff. Not that my work desires aren't serious," he pauses for a moment. "I remember going to a con. There was an artist that did pieces in crayon. Their book was for kids, done digitally by the looks, but had a really 'drawn by kids' vibe. This is why they did original pieces in crayon. However, behind him was a painting. Real paint, all that fun stuff. He didn't talk about it, but it was for sale. Like someone could still say 'Aww yeeaaah' and do comics, but still have a somewhat private serious side. That kind of stuck with me," he admits having been influenced a few years back. "So, I held onto that. Maybe a little too literally. Also, paints with their color range, the mixing and matching, it felt more intimate to me. More personal," and to him it's that kind of philosophy.

And he nods about a tour. "Well, all you gotta do is ask some time. I'll show you some pieces." Kyle didn't think of working with Beast Boys streams. However, he didn't want to interrupt them either.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Always a good idea", Caleb says in agreement with Megan. "A couple paintings - if not a mural - would help a great deal with some food on the table, and also a few acquaintances wouldn't hurt." He ponders, "But the big problem are the materials - they're expensive, man." He points out, "And I should know, I've once had for a restoration job an easel and a set of brushes." His voice dies out, "...And it was practically work for exposure - one that, should I say, never came."

"On that note, yeah, I do restorations. Among other things."

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"Oh I've traveled. I took time off after high school to do a little travelling and see more of the world. Immerse myself in different cultures so I could get a broader perspective. There were something resonated more than others, and for different reasons.. but it was all very interesting!" Pausing, Megan flushes faintly and adds, "Admittedly, I didn't visit many galleries or anything at the time, I was more interested in learning the cultures and languages. So perhaps another trip is in order to visit some of them."

Nodding to Caleb, she smiles, "Exactly." She smiles, "I definitely think some exposure would do wonders for his artwork. It seems like it always comes down to just.. getting the right people to see your work." Brows lifting, she smiles, "So like.. if I purchased an older piece of furniture that could use some refreshing to be functional again.. could you help with that?"

Nodding back to Kyle, she pulls out her phone and opens it up, moving to her contacts and hitting the new contact button before handing the phone to him with a smile, "Input your information and I'll text you. Then we can set up a time to do a proper tour of your work. And if you give me your social media names, I'll pass them along to a few people as something to check out."

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle nods about expenses. It's why he likes a tablet along with astylus. It's an investment. Something that costs a little less. His green eyes stay on Caleb for a moment. "You restore pieces? What was your favorite?!" he finds that to be very interesting.

Nodding about where M'gann went. how she learned about the world rather than the culture. It all makes sense. "We can do a tour," he grins brightly.

Kyle will hand M'gann his own phone with the contacts open. He'll start to put in his number along with some professional socials. Everything like that. He'll slide her phone back to M'Gann.

When he gets his phone back he will see the time, "I should go. Do not be strangers. Either of you."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Restoration comes costly. And it's time consuming, for the most part", Caleb says to Megan. "That easel and brushes? You could say I got paid in lifetime extension." A quick explanation, "The set belonged to the cousin of a mobster in Gotham, one who was very eager to point out that if the job was not to their liking, he'd turn one of mine into abstract art."

"As for my favorite restorations...?" He ponders, "Any that gets me some money in an honest living." A shrug, "Or that helps me defend myself and protect the ones I love." Immediately, he nods. "Cryptic, I know. But that's the 'Gotham Syndrome' for you." He smiles, "We won't, rest assured."

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
Megan is quick to enter her own contact information into Kyle's phone, she hands it back to him so he can depart. SHe offers a wave and a smile, "You can be sure of it! Have a good rest of your day!"

Looking back to Caleb, she chuckles, "I've been eyeing a cabinet in a thrist store, but it's in rough shape. If you want to come along the next time I go, maybe you can let me know if it's worth salvaging? If so, I'd be happy to pay you to restore it to a better condition." Megan smiles, "If you want, of course. Otherwise I'll just have to take my chances."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"We'll see how that goes when I get a look at it", Caleb says. "If there's mold inside the wood, it's going to be costly. A job for weeks, and what seems like a bargain can become a real finantial black hole." He ponders, "Gonna have to open up the shop by dad's garage."

A sigh, "Just there, that building... over there?" He points to a four-story warehouse, now property of Wayne Enterprises. "We got out of Gotham, and found that place. Had it converted to house on the last two stories, the remaining was for garage and workshop. And just on the day it's all set up, we're celebrating... We get ninjas."

He nods repeatedly, "Honest to god." He rubs his chin in irritation, "I dunno what to say. Sometimes, it's really like the universe doesn't want me or my family around, you know?" He looks back to the building. "It was such a nice place..."

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
Nodding, Megan chuckles, "That's why I asked if you would come look at it. If it's too far gone then I'll just keep looking. But if it's salvageable at a reasonable price, I would rather give the work to someone I know than someone I don't."

She smiles faintly, "I believe you. I don't live in Gotham, but I have friends that live there, and I've had to go there more than a few times. It's.. I generally try to urge people not to go there unless they absolutely have to." Megan lifts a shrug, "People that live there, that were born there.. I genuinely think they have a built-in resistance to all the.. the toxins and poisons and pollutants that are in Gotham."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"And still, the disease gets to them." He grimaces, "'Gotham Syndrome'."

"But hey, when the ninjas attacked, they found themselves 'home aloned', and not the kid-friendly way." A moment to let it sink in, then says. "I love life. What I can't abide are parasites exploiting and consuming other lives." He shakes his head, "It's them or us."

He changes subject, so the conversation doesn't get dark, "But anyways, tell me about that cabinet. How old is it?"

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"There's no way to get away from whatever it is that infects that city. At it's core, there is something *wrong* with that place. Not the people, the *city*. Maybe just the earth it was built on. Something. It is not a good place." M'gann shakes her head before happily leaving the subject behind.

She grins brightly, "From what I can tell, it's from either the 50's or maybe early 60's. It *looks* Mid Century Modern, but I'm no expert."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"On that account, if it's too much of a hassle and it's not worth it, I can try to build a replica." He shrugs after that, "I also like to build stuff." He pulls his cellphone out of his pocket, and shows it - a headless beast of a guitar and bass, matching in surface, "Offered to a musician and producer, Wade Shaw, for having offered me and my family some hospitality at his place when we got out of Gotham."

Hand made, those guitars are likely to have nearly five figures behind them.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle slips back into the place. He's still wearing the same outfit. Straightening up the hoodie, he goes back to the place they were sitting. "Mind if I rejoin? I thought," there's a pause and he gives Megan a look. "Important call," he doesn't know Caleb would be more than understanding of leaving for that. "Did I miss anything good?"

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"I'd definitely be open to talking about it and seeing how much you would want to create a replica.. but I'd really like to have something actually from that era. Something about owning a piece of history has some appeal. Though perhaps I oculd find a different piece that's from that era." Megan smiles warmly before adding, "That's part of what I like about the apartment I have. The cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom are original to the building. When they still made them out of steel."

Smiling up at Kyle when he returns, she motions to the table, "Of course." Nodding to the mention of a call, she lifts both brows, "Not too terrible, I hope?" It couldn't have been THAT bad, her own phone didn't go off, so it wasn't a League call. But that doesn't mean it can't be bad!

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Well, it does look like you don't have to change much to the apartment", Caleb says. "I guess it all comes down to a matter of design..."

And then Kyle comes back, he smiles, "Sure thing man, grab a seat." He nods, "Hope that call didn't bring bad news?"

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"Just something hitting close to home, but it was small potatoes. I hope," Kyle says as coded and as honestly as possible. Kyle does like to monitor his Mom's place in California. Something happened a little too close to her place, his childhood home, for his liking.

Kyle makes himself comfortable again. Since, this is about humanizing and culture. "What do you guys consider a guilty treat, and why? Besides donuts," he's curious what answers these would bring out.

"I'll go first. I'm a sucker for a good soft served cone dipped in chocolate. Yeah, they melt quicker in a lot of other options, they're messy, and they don't make a lot of sense there. I just remember getting some as a kid growing up. They always make me think of school breaks, Summer time, y'know, the good stuff of childhood. Plus, they're tasty," he says and let's that answer hang in the air. J'onn wanted to teach M'gann about humanity, human rituals. Kyle tries showing the illogical, yet emotional conection, people can get to things. Does it make sense? Logically speaking in this case, absolutely not. But all of the past memories associated it do illicit a desired emotion or effect.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
Megan smiles at Caleb and offers, "If the cabinet is no good, perhaps we could discuss a new dining table and chairs? I have just a very simple one right now, but I would love one that has some.. personality." Megan offers a bright smile towards Caleb, nodding.

Then Kyle is coming back with a question that Megan can't immediately answer. She blinks, then frowns, her brows furrowing as she tries to think of something that she wouldn't just eat just because. Her time on Earth has been limited, she hasn't had much of it to make those emotional connections to *things* or memories. Finally, Megan shakes her head and looks to Kyle with a shrug, "I'm afraid I don't have any. I've only been really... free.. here, for the last few years. I don't have enough emotionally charged memories that attach to food to really claim any of them." She offers a faint smile, "Perhaps someday."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Ooh, now that is a challenge...", Caleb grins, as he ponders all the carpentry involved. "I'll have to think about some center piece to go with that furniture..."

"But we'll cross that space bridge when we come to it", he says. "Right now, I gotta go tend to a project I got developing."

To Kyle, "It was great meeting you. We'll do this again sometime."

He gets up, and moves towards the exit. "See you guys later!"
