NY's Bravest Block Party
Date of Scene: 20 April 2024
Location: FDNY Rescue 1 House
Synopsis: Amid some good family fun and bots getting face paint, Luca comes face to face with a win from the UN attack, Ms. Pepper Potts. (There might be evidence of Sara singing karaoke!)
Cast of Characters: Luca Bandoni, Sara Pezzini, Greer Grant, Joan Wright, Pepper Potts, Ted Kord, Emiko Queen

Luca Bandoni has posed:
It's early afternoon, Saturday April 20th. The sun's shining but there's a chill in the air. It hasn't stopped the fireman from Rescue 1 from setting up a dunking booth. Dunk a fireman, win a prize. Of course that's not the only way to have fun.

Booths are set up that include everything from funnel cakes to face painting to spin the wheel - that are also selling those little pull tab tickets (match three and win!). Tickets for the split the pot are on sale at every booth.

Don't forget to stop by the duck pond with the littles - take home a prize every time. At one end of the roped off area, there are even a few small rides for the kids.

There's something for everyone - all prizes donated by local businesses and all proceeds go to help the families of the FDNY and NYPD that were seriously injured or killed during the attacks on the UN and the events leading up to that horrible day.

Last, but definitely not least, grab a hot dog, hamburger and all the fixings from in front of the Rescue 1 House. Never trust a firefighter in the kitchen, but they have mad grillin' skills.

Currently it's Roscoe - Rescue 1's very own Obi-Wan in that dunking booth. He's already soaking wet. "C'mon, Bandoni, give someone else a turn!" he complains.

Right before Luca lands another hit on the target. Let it never be said that Luca Bandoni can't handle his balls.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Such a lovely day for a block party. There had been a threat of rain, but thankfully it hadn't been true. Sun in the sky, a slight chill requiring light jackets for kids, and then the fun.

Sara was horrible at this sort of thing. Dressed in her usual jeans and t-shirt, hiking boots and light jacket, she kept her badge on her belt in plain view as she walked through the crowds. A lot of cops wanted to be present for the event, they'd held a lotto to decide which officers would be around to keep order, and then Sara just up and ignored it.

Making her way to the dunking tank, she spied the soaking wet Roscoe and who had been dunking him and grinned. "Poor Roscoe," she called out. "You know he isn't walking away until he's thrown all the balls in that basket."

Greer Grant has posed:
It was a lifetime ago, and NYPD rather than FDNY, but Tigra has a special connection to first responders, and so she thought she'd visit this block party, help chip in for a good cause and show some support for heroes who don't get powers to help them. "Hey, at least Roscoe's not in his turn out gear," she mentions to Sara from where she sits, eating a hot dog, with another sitting on the bench beside her and ready to go. "Would hate to flounder around in all that when soaked." Especially with the bit of chill in the air, not that this particularly botthers her, naturally.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan is not FDNY or NYPD. But, being that she works for Damage Control, there has been numerous times where she's ended up having to work with persons from both groups post disasters. So, when word got out about the fundraiser, and a disaster hasn't pulled her away from her time off, Joan decided to swing by to show a bit of support. Arriving at the scene with Ted and Bailey, she takes a moment to wave to a familiar face from one of the many calls. That is until they end up submerging themselves into the water.

The little pink and blue roomba-ish bot Bailey zoots near the couple, pausing in the air to inspect a nearby face painting booth. She turns, facing Ted before using her manipulators to gesture to the booth.

Pepper Potts has posed:
Out at the periphery of the gathering, a black sedan pulls up to the curb, the license plate reading 'Stark2'. The taillights light brightly once, then fade into darkness. The driver's side door opens, revealing an early middle-aged, slightly overweight man in a dark suit exiting. He's quick, moving around to the back, and the rear, passenger side door is opened. People, of course, stop and stare at the car, but never for long. It is New York City after all.

Ms Virginia "Pepper" Potts is escorted to the party by the self-same defacto bodyguard. She's dressed semi-casually; name brand without it being //too// obvious that it's 'name'. Sweater, jacket overtop, a clutch in hand and red hair set back in a pony tail. Their approach is via the duck pond, with a couple real city ducks!

Pepper manages a couple of quick dance steps to dodge running, laughing children, water balloons in hand. A *flawp* of an exploded water bomb lands close, sending drops of 'shrapnel' onto a pants covered leg.

"Marcus! Don't do that! You come over here and have something to eat!" Could be any one of the mothers that are gathered in a group.

Softly, there rises an 'Ooooooooooo', with varying shades of 'You in trouble, boy' and, of course, the teasing, 'Momma's calling you!'

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord has left the youngest of his bots, Bailey to Joan's good graces. Ted is wearing his Blue Beetle suit, though the cowl is retracted and the goggles dangle around his neck. He is a first responder of a sort after all. Besides, he's coming from a SHIELD meeting and didn't have time to change. So he's fully kitted out and carrying a cardboard tray with burgers and hot dogs.

He peers at the little bot. "Okay. But. Maintain. Visual. Contact. Direct Order." She'd a bad habit of reconning away from Ted. "She's giving me gray hair."

Luca Bandoni has posed:
"I paid for them y'know!" Luca adds to Sara's teasing. He paid a pretty penny for every single ball in that basket. His sister-by-another-mother knows him well.

"Well, I'm sure there's a little kid out there that would be grateful if you handed some of -" Poor Roscoe doesn't even get to finish his argument before he's under again. He comes up spluttering. "You know I'm on kitchen duty next shift, right?" he asks while climbing back up yet again. Poor dude's turning a little blue. Roscoe offers Joan a wave in return and calls out, "I'll buy dinner if you break this guy's throwing arm!"

"I'll pack, this is worth it!" is Luca's reply to Roscoe. But he does take a step aside and hand a softball off to Sara. "Don't embarrass me," he teases.

Luca turns and underhand tosses a ball in Greer's direction as well. Spreading the love, see he can share.

In Luca's line of work a man is trained to notice things, be aware of their surroundings at all times. He certainly doesn't miss the arrival of the Stark2Mobile. "Huh," is his reply, although it sounds a little flat and unimpressed. Ms. Potts looked nothing like Ms. Potts when he last saw her, there might be a niggle at the back of his brain, but otherwise nothing. He does lean in to ask Sara, "S'up with that?" along with a nod toward the car.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara accepts the ball while laughing, watching Roscoe disappear into the water again then pop back up. "Don't worry Luca, I got this... an I don't have to worry about him cooking."

Waiting for Roscoe to get back into the platform, she tosses the ball in the air a few times then sends it flying at the target. She could have chosen to miss, but there was no way the NYPD Detective was passing up this chance to dunk a FDNY fireman. "Not sorry!" She calls out, then looks in the direction Luca was indicating.

Stark2, that ment it was... and there she was. "That's Miss Pepper Potts of Stark Industries," she whispers to him, though any one close by could hear her. "No idea why she's here... you should go find out."

She offers a wave to Pepper, and a bright smile before calling out, "Good to see you!"

Greer Grant has posed:
Tigra catches the ball easily, bats it up lightly with the palm of her hand. She catches it on the back of her hand, balances it lightly, then lets it roll down her arm and with a twitch of a muscle bounces it up on a shoulder. She leaves it there a moment, keeping it balanced easily, while finishing off her hot dog, brushing off her fingers, and then rolls it across her shoulders to the other arm, down to the hand, bounces it up in the air and slaps it towards the target, hitting it dead center.

Joan Wright has posed:
With the permission granted, Bailey lifts up her manipulators before lowering them. Following instructions she flies over to the booth... backwards. But then again those bots have more than one sensor so there are no near collisions.

Joan smiles to Ted's comment. "That tends to happen when you have the equivalent of a teenager flying around." She replies, smile still present as she leans near him for a moment. Careful of the food tray. "Though you have to admit, part of you enjoys it."

Hearing the request from Roscoe, Joan glances back to the drenched firefighter, shouting back, "I'm not in the arm breaking business!" Anymore. It's a long story and Joan does not wish to repeat it. "Just remind yourself it's for a good cause!"

Looking back to Ted, she tilts her head closer. "Besides, I'd rather have dinner with you."

Alas, Roscoe's offer has no power over them.

Pepper Potts has posed:
As the pair make their way, Pepper does have to stop and linger near a funnel-cake stand so her escort can get one of the deep fried confections. She waits, a hint of a patient smirk playing on her face before she leans over to whisper something at him. His expression shifts first to sheepish, then moderately defensive as the quiet conversation continues for a couple more steps. Happy, however, does try and make sure that powdered sugar doesn't get on his own suit.. too badly, anyway. So, as they come up the block, passing the colored sand decorating stands, the face painting.. and-

The gesture a little further down, near the firehouse proper, gets Pepper's attention. Lifting her head, it's obvious Pepper sees a familiar face in the crowd and appears to laugh in the discovery as she increases her step just a little, leaving her erstwhile 'bodyguard' to jog in order to keep up.

"Sara," there's a soft warmth to her tones, loud enough to be heard but not too to be overbearing, with her expression mirroring the light humor. "There had better be pictures or no one would believe that you're at a fair, having fun."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord sighs. "I am the only person who now gives his bots an allowance. It used to be store credit for merch and Legos, but Bailey wanted money. I think Bobo got a credit card. He got me to cosign something. Oh, hey that's Tigra. I met her at a speed date thing Booster made me attend." He waves at Tigra, "Probably doesn't remember me. Whoa! Virginia Potts!! The woman, The legend." The legs for that matter. He keeps that to himself. He waves at Pepper with doubled effort. "If she worked for KordCo, we'd be able to buy LexCorp. She's amazeballs."

Luca Bandoni has posed:
Luca makes a 'do I have to mom' face at Sara. That look hasn't changed much since he was a little thing. Those that know Luca well definitely know that Stark and Co. - or really any of the Big Gun superheroes are on his list for Christmas cards.

...and then Pepper's right there. He does his best to smooth his expression into something more pleasant than 'I don't wanna eat my peas!'

It seems Roscoe gets a reprieve. Or perhaps not. Luca nudges the basket with his foot, locks eyes with a kid about ten years old, and then looks to the basket. It's little Bryce Evans - the best pitcher on the little league team Luca coaches.

"Awwww, Luca, really? That's not fair!" Roscoe complains. At least he only has fifteen minutes left in his dunking booth shift.

This would be hard enough if the woman's name didn't sound like the star of a child's TV show. "She knows how to let her hair down from time to time," he offers in Sara's defense. "Be better to get a video on Karaoke night at Josie's. She'd pay more to get that back." He extends his hand to Pepper and introduces himself, "Luca, Luca Bandoni, FDNY Rescue House 1."

Hell yeah, he announced it and he does so with pride. He's not boasting, he's not arrogant about it but he is /proud/ to be one of New York's Bravest.

He just /barely/ manages to not roll his eyes when he overhears Ted's fanboying.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Stepping over by Luca, Sara gives him a nudge with her hip in response to the 'do I have to mom' face, then turns her attention to Pepper.

"There wasn't any karaoke, it never happened, and there's no proof of it," she states with a grin. "But Pepper's right, I don't let my hair down often... even now, I'm technically 'on duty', but how could I miss this? I intend to pay for one of everything, even if I don't take the thing."

She glances toward Ted for a moment, offering a nod of acknowledgement over his fanboying of Pepper. For once it wasn't her and she was glad for that. Being an Avenger while on duty as an NYPD officer, sometimes the hyper fans got in the way.

Greer Grant has posed:
Probably the only being around here with less need to have their face painted than Bailey would be Tigra, who watches the bot fly over to get painted up with a grin. She hears her name, tilts her head and glances over. She spots Ted waving her way and offers a friendly wave and smile in return. "She didn't do it, nobody saw her do it, and you can't prove anything," she says of Sara's denial, before digging into that second hot dog, tail swishing merrily.

Joan Wright has posed:
Yes. Probably better Ted keeps that one observation to himself. Joan may not be temporarily Amazoned by some research experiment gone wrong at the moment but some things are not meant to be said.

As Ted lists off those he spots, Joan turns her head to look to them, giving a nod in response. "They do have a good turnout here." She admits, "Plenty of familiar faces...although I fail to place the names for a few of them. But then again considering the types of situations we're dealing with I don't expect any of them to remember mine."

Joan turns her head back, seeing the eager wave. "I am going to assume that is one person you won't be able to recruit away."

Bailey hovers, inspecting the images on display before the manipulator extends out, slapping the design of butterfly wings and then moving over to the chair area. She doesn't quite 'sit' but hover at a steady spot granting the face painter access to her backside.

Well at least she's continuing to maintain visual of Ted.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Officially Emiko Queen had come to the block party to deliver a charitable donation on behave of her brother and his company. Unofficially because Team Arrow was giving proper respect to the brave men and women that took on challenges in the face of danger that could rival any vigilante's repitoir. Of course no one would know the two were interconnected but it was best that way.

Once that was done with she was officially off the clock for obligations and could enjoy the festivities for herself.... and that is half the reason she suspects Oliver sent her to do it, to let her have some down time relaxing in means she never got to as a child.

So she mingles into the gathering, wearing a red hoodie over her usual casual attire in case it gets chilly later. Just casual mingling was... well she had to keep thinking to herself to just walk amongst the crowd and resist the habit to lurk at the fringes of it as the training that had been ground into her kept trying to do.

Pepper Potts has posed:
What, Ted Kord? Pepper looks in his direction, her brows rising, //probably// more in response to the seemingly 'uncontrolled' robots he has in tow. She knows all about robots and how they get minds of their own. "It's okay," she begins, "I have one named Patrick who is a little full of himself." Patrick, slayer of snakes. There is //absolutely// a story in there. One that has to do with Loki.

For another time.

She will, however gracefully ignore the other bits, like legs and the buying of LexCorp.

Once she finishes crossing that distance, she looks at Sara first before extending her hand, "Virginia Potts. 'Pepper' is a nickname." She's good natured about it. Some know her by 'Pepper' some 'Ms Potts', but very few actually realize she has a //real// first name! "A pleasure to meet you, under better circumstances this time." Her expression holds a smile, but there is something else that is reflected from within those green eyes. "I have something for you. In a little bit."

Retrieving her hand, the smile remains for, well, her boyfriend's teammate. "That sounds like a marvelous idea," and she sounds like she means it.

Greer's quick defense has Pepper barking a laugh, "You know we have ways," she murmurs theatrically. It is true, but it certainly isn't meant as anything but a jest. "And I think I might have something from a karaoke feed.."

Luca Bandoni has posed:
Luca reaches into his back pocket to pull out his phone and asks Sara, "You sure about that?" Is she sure? Has he ever recorded her? It definitely would not be beneath him to have done so. All's fair in the battle between the Red and the Blue, even - no /especially/ if it's within the Bandoni (extended included) family.

*Kersplash*! There goes Roscoe again, seems little Bryce has learned well from his hardball Sensei. "C'mon!" Roscoe exclaims.

Luca leans in to whisper to Sara, "Do I know her?" Pepper really really really looked different the last time he saw her. Even as he's whispering, he's shaking Pepper's hand. But when he turns back, his smile seems genuine enough.

Still holding his phone in his hand, he goes flipping through it until he finds the 'photos' file. Now the reason for his genuine smile is obvious. "You sure, sis? Absolute certain there is no evidence?" The mischievous glint in those blues eyes is all 'little boy' teasing his sister. Some men never grow up. Or, more to the point, some men grow up too much and behave like children to blow off steam.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord walks over to Pepper. "Really? You own robot? Bring him over and we'll have a play date. Bailey likes other robots. She had a thing for Booster's bot, Skeets... excuse me." He pulls his phone and gets a rapidly input text that amounts to, "Dad, you're embarrassing me! STOP! You're... many eggplant and less savory emojis follow."

He hands the phone to Joan, "Do you see how your bot speaks to me?" He's trying to stop laughing.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara watches Luca intently, eyes on the phone. "You didn't," she mutters. How could he have? He was arguing with Joshua by that point, but someone else could have... one of his brother-by-another-mother's FDNY buddies. Did he have a video? That would be unacceptable.

"You better not have one," she warns, starting to reach for his phone. It was entirely possible that a sibling wrestling match was about to take place.

"That's the woman you pulled from the UN building, making you one serious hero" she states, using that moment that he will likely be stunned to go for the phone.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan tilts her head over to look to the phone's display. "Why is it when she uses the language, she's MY bot?" Despite the perceived complaint, there's not a frown as she extends a finger to point to the start, "See here? She even called you dad. Recognize your Botghter. And stop revealing her crushes in public."

The message is looked at for a bit longer. "...Maybe it's time to get an expansion to Bailey's speech library."

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko Queen pauses to get herself some funnel cake. Now it feels like a carnival of some sort. She turns and steps aside to clear the path to the booth, only to pause as the robot darts by towards the face painting booth. She watches a moment, then shrugs. "Guess some of them really are like children." But hardly the weirdest thing she has ever seen.

Her attention does drift towards the two talking about the robot like a child though. Heh. Cute. She takes a bite out of her funnel cake, otherwise enjoying the rare calm moment in a typically chaotic life.

Pepper Potts has posed:
The sidelong whisper is something that is oh so very familiar to Pepper. How many times has Tony done that to her, and then, yes, the coaching. 'This is this person, they own that company.. ambassador to that country..' and the like. Invaluable. Pepper stands, her expression firmly stating her support of Sara's words.

Ted's approach has Pepper taking a step back to bring the man into the small circle. "I do. Patrick is, he's my cleaning 'bot. He doesn't go out, I'm sorry. My friend did put an illusion spell on him, though, so he looks less like a cleaning bot and more like a little knight in armor that he thinks he is." AI. Robots thinking? So very natural for Pepper to talk about them in those terms. After all, most of her work is aided by one AI or another.

Joan's approach and subsequent arrival gains a quick, welcoming smile from Pepper. The ladies haven't yet met, but that'll be soon rectified. "Never got to that point." Okay, maybe they have, in terms of HOMER and who he prefers to listen to when given conflicting orders. 'Mom or dad'?

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord shrugs annoyedly. "She was a Mark 1 with no updates when she had the crush, a baby... and here? Where the fuck did she learn language like... oh. I think the vocabulary she has is quite workable. Spech is proving to have problems so far. Bodhi proved this. He waves at Bailey getting a pretty butterfly... a blue butterfly he notes. Someone is trying to show some contriteness. He gives her a thumbs up.

To Pepper he says, "Mine use a generative AI. You can't program them further. They learn like children. Bailey is just precocious. She chose her gender, tried to romance a future bot who was really not interested. They all have some degree of self awareness, The drones I sell do not."

Luca Bandoni has posed:
"Oh, yeah Pez, we /all/ have copies of that. Benton almost emailed it to the entire FD..." *KERSPLASH* down poor Roscoe goes yet again.

But once again, his sister-by-another-mother was not wrong. Luca's struck a little speechless. 99.9 times out of 100, the men and women that run into burning buildings while everyone else is running away never get to see the other end of it. It's an emotional moment for Luca. He heard the woman he pulled out that day was alive and expected to recover, but hearing it and seeing it are two different things.

If his eyes are too bright for a moment and he has to blink a few times, it's just seasonal allergies surely.

When he's gathered his wits and he knows his voice won't cracked, he says, "It's really nice to meet you. I'm sorry I didn't get to you sooner." Because they always are, they're always sorry that they couldn't do /more/.

If he wasn't so shaken - in a good way - by this moment, he might be asking questions about bots that could maybe keep his men safer.

Man, this is one of those moments a firefighter lives to see.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara takes the moment to steal Luca's phone, not because she intends to do anything about the video, but because that was her goal. So while he's recovering from the shock, she tucks his phone into her pocket the victor of this particular sibling battle.

"I thought you knew," she offers softly to Luca once the phone is tucked away, then she looks toward Pepper and offers a smile. "Luca is my brother-from-another-mother, our families grew up together. He's a good man, and in spite of what he thinks, he's a hero every day of his life."

She leaves that there, going now to get herself a hot dog. Too much money is laid down for one hot dog and a diet soda, then everything but the kitchen sink goes onto the hot dog.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan gives a pointed look to Ted as he curses while bringing up the language issue. "Where indeed?" She responds before looking over to Pepper, giving the woman a smile and nod. "Although, Bailey has proven herself to be a bit of a lifesaver in a few instances. She tends to come with me for certain work events to help with tasks that humans might not be able to do easily. "

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord nods. "She also is a pretty good cook. She does a killer grilled cheese. Bingo is a mixologist. Bobo... Bobo trashed those amateurish bots at your expo a while back. Their makers were endangering humans. So how are things going for SI?" Eyebrow waggle.

Pepper Potts has posed:
There is one thing that Pepper is, is private. Silent. As far as she's concerned, the tech that she has to work with is absolutely proprietary. No one needs to know about Dum-E, or any of the other bots. Or HOMER. Heck, even JARVIS isn't a household name. Playing things close to the vest is her trademark, really. The fact that she has a cleaning bot that looks like a knight is more than enough to share.. and nothing more. "She sounds adorable." The memory of taking out Hammer's bots gone stupid brings that mixed review. There are.. definitely hard feelings between THOSE two companies, on a professional and personal level. "I appreciated that a great deal."

Though now, with the firefighter before her, Pepper stands, her hands down in front of her, the clutch a convenient something to do with them. Green eyes look at Luca's face, and there is that warm smile, her freckles showing on the tops of her cheeks. One of the most powerful women in the world, now that she's CEO of Stark Industries and not just a 'ghost', and she's just flesh and blood. A frail, limp body only a few weeks ago. "I learned your name," she begins, "Didn't know what you looked like." Her words are soft and directed. "It was kind of important for me to come today and say thank you. You really did save my life there, and those 3 other women." All this without reporters, what?

"Now, I want to be able to thank you publicly for what you all are doing, and would love it if you can set up an appointment for me with your financial officer so we can do something in terms of an endowment for.." one hand is released, gesturing, ".. equipment. That second one will be quiet." Pepper knows when to go loud and when not to. The public will encourage others, the private is an addition to a lifeline, just in case. It's just the way Stark Industries does business, or rather, philanthropy.

Pepper nods ever so slightly at Sara, the information gained and stored. It'll make all of this a great deal easier going forward, which is coupled with a 'thank you'.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko Queen continues to just people-watch while eating her way through her funnel cake. This was, honestly, as close as she got to a passtime, simply as she prefered to keep aware of the situation around her even when being casual. Just enjoying the atmosphere. The people being people (and robot being robotic people). People paying respect to those who serve the public in the face of danger. People simply enjoying their simple lives.

While trying to not eavsedrop, but names coming up in conversations around her are hard to miss. Associated with Stark, with Kord Industries... there's probably a Wayne Enterprises rep around but she hasn't come across them yet. Technically herself, but she's not nearly as publicly known as her brother, and honestly would rather leave the limelight to Oliver while she watches his back.

Still, it was good seeing such big corperations giving the emergency servies their due as well.

Luca Bandoni has posed:
"Hey! You answer that if Nonna calls!" Luca calls out to Sara's retreating backside. Nonna calls are not to be messed with, ever, they are sacred.

Finally Roscoe's out of the booth. Still soaking wet - in a pair of jeans, a black t-shirt and drying his hair with a thin towel, he makes his way to the little group just in time to add, "They'll be replacing us with robots soon, Bandoni, this is how it starts." Then he's heading inside the house to get into dry clothes. He probably would have stayed, just as pleasantly shocked as Luca, if he'd put two and two together.

"It'll never happen!" Luca replies as Roscoe's walking away. "They wouldn't make as much money on the fundraiser calendars!"

His attention is drawn back to Pepper. "There's no need to thank me, I was doing my job, Ms. Potts." There's just a beat before he adds, "Doesn't mean I'm gonna have the department turn down money that'll help make that job a little easier. I can set up something with my Captain, he'll point you in the right direction."

Some people are introverts, Luca is not one of those people. When he sees someone sitting alone, he'll go out of their way to make sure they're alone by choice and not ... just alone. "Hey," he calls out with a wave of his hand to get Emiko's attention. "Get your split the pot raffle tickets yet? Also, you can't have a funnel cake without following it up with a snow-cone. Want one?" he asks with a tilt of his head in the direction of the Ice Hut. "I'm buyin'."

He's not trying to be rude, but he is trying to beat feet out of dodge. The praise, that feeling of being in the spotlight, it makes him all squirmy and uncomfortable - unless the spotlight is singing Disco Inferno at Josie's.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord hears his phone buzz and answers it. "Yellow... what? When? How is he. I'm coming back right now."

"Listen, Joan, I've got a worker that got hurt and I want to go back and see him immediately, send for his family, all that. Want to come with?" He activates his aero discs. Bailey seems to be done with her butterfly.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan pauses as the mention of the bots comes to mind. "The ones that were battling their bots outside of the standard arena?" Joans's smile fades at the memory. "Although, I seem to recall those attendees got kicked out at least."

The nice thing about face paint butterflies are that they're easy to do. After paying, Bailey zips back over. She spins around to show off the new look.

"That looks very nice, Bailey." Joan comments, glancing over to Ted as he answers his phone.

Judging from the reaction, her attention settles on him. With the stated news, Joan's eyes widen slightly. "Oh- Yes. We'll come along."

With the matter settled the trio  flies off.

Pepper Potts has posed:
"Oh dear," the injuries are remarked upon first, and Pepper nods her encouragement quickly. "I'll see you all soon, no doubt." There are business expos, dinners, benefits, auctions and the like. Because this one was a great deal down to earth, it's no real surprise to see the big ticket donors taking a pass. It's not a 'see and be seen' event. At least not like 'that'. No black tie dress requirements here.

Pepper can see that she's made the firefighter nervous, and a little shy, so she does the gracious thing and takes a step back. She's said what she needs to, and with the name of the Captain she needs to contact in reach, she twists around to look at Happy. He's got his hotdog, New York style, and is more than content. "We are running tonight," is given with a bemused smile. "No getting out of it."

Emiko Queen. Pepper doesn't know the woman. Thea Queen, absolutely. Oliver, she's had a few meetings with him in the past. So, should she be introduced, the names will absolutely come together. Taking the steps back, Pepper follows the basic path of Sara, and the view and direction of Luca's wave.
