Date of Scene: 16 July 2020
Location: Main Room - Titan's Tower
Synopsis: The Titans have a family meal.
Cast of Characters: Caitlin Fairchild, Cassie Sandsmark, Wally West, Donna Troy, Damian Wayne, Koriand'r, Kate Bishop

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
The Titans have certainly earned a respite from their labors of late. The battle to rescue two lost cities from the clutches of Brainiac had taken a toll but the team, as a unit, had emerged victorious and with relatively minor injuries. So it's back to the 'routine' for the eclectic family of superheroes.

...even if sometimes the 'routine' for Titans involves clones, aliens, mythological monsters, or deadly ninjas.

For Caitlin, the routine lands the redhead in the kitchen. It's definitely a little bit operant conditioning, but she definitely does love to cook for her friends. The last remodel the Tower got included a professional-grade kitchen, albeit one that is aesthetically more pleasing than most restaurants. Two giant pots are burbling on the range, and the scent of simmering tomatos and meat and herbs fills the air. Caitlin must have come from Stark Industries; she's in a purple blouse and knee-length business skirt in dusky grey, sleeves rolled up and hair loosely tied in a bun at the nape of her neck. Her well-worn apron says 'Let's Cook' using elements from the Periodic Table.

Caitlin dips a a spoon in the sauce and tastes it, then makes a face. "Hey, someone come try this. I think it needs more garlic," she says, and scoops up another sample for whomever volunteers.

Cassie Sandsmark has posed:
Obviously, everything turning out well in the end is a happy result for the team. Although it's left Cassie's recent moodiness unresolved. Presently, she's taking it out on some deadly ninjas of the digital variety, Obviously, everything turning out well in the end is a happy result for the team. Although it's left Cassie's recent moodiness unresolved. Presently, she's taking it out on some deadly ninjas of the digital variety, seated on the opposite side of the main room on the couch, taking advantage of the massive TV screen for some quality videogame time. While not the master that Bart is, she is on a bit of a roll.

"DIE NINJA SCUM!"

Well, she's definitely into the SPIRIT of it, anyway. There's some obviously frantic click-clacking on the controller, joined by the unecessarily animated motions as her whole body subconsciously follows the movements she tries to force onto her avatar on the screen. There's an awful lot of ninjas, though. And after a few moments, the screen goes red.

YOU DIED.

"Ugh. I know we had to have Cy supe this thing up or it wouldn't be any challenge, but that is just totally bogus. The way that enemy pattern was generated there was no way I could- ugh whatever. Food?"

Suddenly the complaints are forgotten, and the dark cloud evaporates. She twists, takes a semi-floating hop over the couch, and quickly covers the distance to the other side where dinner is in the making. "I volunteer as taste tester slash experimental subject!" She makes 'gimmme gimme' gestures with her open hands.

Wally West has posed:
Well, while the Titans are just kind of enjoying their time together, the Flash is just sprinting around from point A to point B, snacking on some good old fashioned potato chips in the meantime. Even if this is like...his third bag in the last three minutes. All the smae, he flops on the touch immediately after Cassie leaves it as he reclines.

He finally stopped for a second! That has to be some kind of record or some such for standing still that long. "So! When's the next big assignment?' he asks, nobody in particular, but when he sees Cassie and Caitlin in the kitchen, he lifts his hand. "Ooo! oo! whatcha gonna make?! I'm -famished-.

at the mention of trying something, he speeds on over to the kitchen in the blink of an eye, ready to try it.

Donna Troy has posed:
Having spent the last few weeks in long and gruelling days running endless combinations of the Titans through intensive training on the Danger Room brainiac drone simulator like the world depended on it, Donna inevitably was in desperate need of a change of pace. Something fresh and relaxing.

Thus, Donna has spent most of the day training in the gym instead.

The concept of spending a day /without/ hours of training is too alien to the Amazon for her mind to imagine it. It's like trying to think of invisible pink unicorns.

For this reason, after a long and gruelling session of relaxing and refreshing training, Donna was in the shower when Caitlin put out the call for food tasters. This is absolutely the only reason she didn't beat Cassie to the kitchen. Instead she appears an impressively short time later, in bare feet, sweatpants and a long t-shirt with a silhouette of the tower on it, drying her hair with a towel.

"Wally! Have some patience," she admonishes jovially. "We literally only just saved the world. It may feel like years ago to you, but the rest of us need a few days between intergalactic catastrophes thank you. If you think it needs more garlic, then it needs more garlic, Cait. How long is it until it's ready? I'm starved."

Damian Wayne has posed:
Damian had come back to the Tower after three days worth of rest in Gotham. As always, he was in costume, and masked. "We have the question about the cities." He comments, from the hexagonal rafters up top. He was inverted, cape draped to his feet, seemingly defying gravity, and his head was pointed directly at the ground, watching everyone below him.

"We do not know if Genosha and Mutant Town can be restored. But we have Brainiac's technology, and a number of his spheres." His speech was calm, if not with a slight tinge of aggression that always seemed to follow this iteration of Robin.

Koriand'r has posed:
Starfire floats in from the dormitory, a foot above the ground but with knees bent so her eye level is closer to the 5'6" range. She hasn't been spending much time in the Tower lately, but today she's around. She waves in passing at the Titans assembled (no, wait, it's the other guys who assemble) with the arm not currently cradling Silkie, who is oozing affectionately onto her ribs. She has a towel over her shoulder for such displays of love.
When she sees Damian, her mood perks up noticeably. It's nice to not be the youngest person in the room. "Hello, friends," she greets.

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin looks a little taken aback as she's swarmed with volunteers and laughs once. "Cassie spoke up first," Caitlin tells Wally, and holds the spoon out for Cassie with her hand cupped under it. But just to be fair for Wally, she reaches around, gets another spoon, and offers him some also.

Donna settles it, though; if it needs more garlic, it needs more garlic. She turns back to the counter and runs a few more cloves through a garlic press.

It's not like she *needs* the press, but no one likes garlic-y fingers.

"We had a bunch of meat that I wanted to use up, so it's Sunday gravy." She thinks. "I probably should have made this on Sunday. Oh well. It's Wednesday Gravy," she declares, and starts counting on her fingers while stirring the garlic in. "Lamb, beef bolognase, italian sausage, and some pork ribs. Oh, and there's some vegetarian sauce if anyone wants it," she says, pointing at a smaller pot hidden behind the others. Kori's arrival prompts a smile and a wave in greeting towards the Tamaranean, beckoning her to join the group.

"Robin, let's all get some food in us before we talk shop," Caitlin advises Damian. Caitlin lifts the massive pot full of noodles with one hand and strains it into a large collander, then sets both pots on the counter with serving utensils so people can dish up as they like. "And, 's ready, so everyone wash up and grab a plate. Hey Kori, good timing. Food's on," she bids the Tamaranean princess.

"Oh nerts, the bread!" she gasps, and turns back to the oven to pull out some fresh-baked garlic bread.

Cassie Sandsmark has posed:
Realistically, Cassie is hardly any kind of connoisseur, subsisting on a diet of pizza, soda, and doritos. So her opinion isn't likely to be informative anyway, and better to go with Donna's advice. She just wants to taste some! With the spoon outheld, she's hardly shy to lean in for a taste, and hardly even spills much! "Tastes fine to me!" Still, better go with Donna here! And since there's apparently a line forming, she quickly takes a single pivoting step aside to make room for Wally and his famous appetitite.

"Well, it's good whatever you put in there," she notes after the fairly complex list of meaty ingredients. A quick, almost guilty glance sweeps behind to see if they're in the company of any of the vegetarian Titans, although it does seem Caitlin has an option for them. STILL. Is she allowed to openly drool over all the meat?

Hearing Damian, she looks up. How do they always do that?! He's worse than the computer ninjas.

But she doesn't have anything to comment on the rebuilding or anything of that sort, letting the topic pass without comment. "Hey," she calls over to Kori, smiling reflexively at her floaty posture. "You're just in time for the grub!"

Wally West has posed:
Wally immediately snap-turns to Donna, giving her a frown and a slump of his shoulders. "What? I can't help it if you all are too slow." he intends to give her a playful bump with his shoulder, which quite literally won't even phase her. Wally may be holy-shit-what-was-that fast, but he's not strong. "Besides, just because we saved the world doesn't mean we have to stop." he winks playfully at her, one might even assume it was a little bit flirty.

To Caitlin, Wally actually -frowns- when Caitlin offers Cassie it first! "Awww come on, I can't have been late -again-!" he groans audibly, but immediately recovers when Caitlin offers him some anyway. "hmmmmmm! It tastes great as is, in my opinion!" He notices Kori. "Hey, Starfire! Welcome to the party in Titan Tower! Feel free to grab...pretty much whatever."

Then Damian. "The term 'braniacs tech' still makes me uncomfortable."

Donna Troy has posed:
Donna's nostrils flare as the oven door opens and the scent of the bread fills the room. It smells so /good/. "I don't know why you waste your time working for Tony Stark and saving the world, Cait. Think of all the good food you could be making."

"Hi everyone," Donna greets. She stops a few steps down the spiral staircase from the women's dorm corridor to look at Robin, almost on his level. She raises an eyebrow in faint amusement, then continues on her way down the stairs. "Hey Star. Haven't seen you since before the big fight, everything okay? Grub, Cassie? What a... grubby word to use for Caitlin's cooking!"

With a good-humored grin she walks over to the kitchen area and starts fetching cutlery and plates. Wally's shoulder bump is returned with a touch more force, but she's being careful. Shoulder bumping Wally too hard either results in a bruised Wally or a rapidly moving Wally and an embarrassing collision with the furniture instead.

"Vic's made good progress on the equipment, Robin. Nadia's been helping out, she seems to be rather good with technology. They say that they think they've got the hang of it, but we're missing some components. Presumably that was part of the gear that the X-Men removed. We'll need to link up with them. As for the spheres we got - we're going to have to find some way to figure out what they are. It would be pretty embarrassing to grow one back to size and discover it's some alien city full of creatures who can't breath our atmosphere."

Koriand'r has posed:
Innocently, Starfire floats ceilingward, not specifically toward Damian but just out of the earthbound people's way. "What is the speech on Brainiac?" she inquires of him, sotto tone. She waves at Donna and confirms, "Yes, I have built a new friendship of which I am enjoying the company. He is a scientician, so we have been in discussion of the technologies which may assist in the defeat of Brainiac."

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
"Because I like my condo, hate my mortgage, and get to play in the best-equipped laboratory facilities in the world," Caitlin tells Donna with a grin. She can hardly take any umbrage at Donna's compliment, nor from Wally and Cassie; it's all high praise, after all.

Caitlin grabs the breadpan out of the oven, ignoring the heat, and moves it to the counter. Fast work with a large bread knife starts slicing thick slabs of bread. There's even butter to be had-- real butter, at the perfect temperature to spread over the soft dough and start melting immediately.

"Nadia oughta be; her dad's only one of the world's greatest scientific minds," Caitlin says, wryly. "She's a better engineer than I am, anyway." Just the barest, subtle, almost not-there hint of jealousy from the redhead? Maybe.

"I think I know someone who knows someone in the X-men," Caitlin says. She hands bread out as fast as she cuts it. The Titans self-serving line can turn into a dangerous melee sometimes if it moves too slow. "I'll reach out and see if we can meet up with them. We might have to do it here, or even a secondary location. We're not even really supposed to know they exist," she reminds the others. "I don't even know where they're based out of still."

Damian Wayne has posed:
"It -should- make you uncomfortable, Flash." Damian offers, lowering himself from the rafters.

Leather and armor clap down on the ground as Damian's boots contact the ground again. "Good. I have a contact within the X-Men we can use to group up with them. I suspect from the looks of it, we have Genosha and Mutant Town amongst our captures. We need to make sure we can reverse the process first before we attempt it on one of the cities. If it goes wrong...it could mean the actual death of hundreds of thousands of people." Damian says, almost in a nonchalant way. Obviously the young teen had no qualms with death. But that doesn't mean his teammates do not share his attitude.

Cassie Sandsmark has posed:
"Too slow!" Cassie calls over when Wally complains of being 'late,' grinning a bit too widely. Catching the Speedster slacking is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and she's possibly immortal! "What's wrong with grub? There's nothing wrong with grub!" she wonders, echoing back at Donna. "I love grub! I am eager to stuff my face full of grub. Grub grub grub." The last, almost sing-song.

Still, because she doesn't have much to do BUT wait, she joins Donna in walking around into the kitchen proper to help grab some stuff. This may just be a little of the Amazon boot camp showing through: they're big on that whole everyone pitches a hand way of doing things, so at least that's one lazy teenager habit she's shed.

"Doesn't really seem like there's anything I can really help with," she finally adds as the conversation increasingly hangs on the Brainiac tech. "Oh, that smells AMAZING." Instead, she helps a bit more with handing out the food, helping Caitlin manage the would-be melee by assembling plates and passing back a couple for anyone who wants them before getting one for herself. She even offers one to Damian, with an all-too friendly smile, as if testing whether her good cheer will harm him like a Vampire in sunlight.

Koriand'r has posed:
A scandalized Starfire protectively clutches Silkie closer. "Shh, I'm sure Cassie doesn't mean you," she whispers to it. It tries blindly to burrow into her armpit.

Wally West has posed:
Wally narrows his eyes at Cassie, giving her the 'I'm watching you' gesture, before he suddenly gets immediate reply from Donna when it comes to the shoulder check. "Ow." he replies, feigning a legit wound, before he just smirk. "Heh, just kidding." Before he looks to Damian. "Glad to know we - finally - agree on something. So...lets -not- screw up then, right?" he gives two thumbs up to the stabby bat.

as the conversation shifts to the X-Men, he shrugs. "Can't help you there. I don't know anybody in the X-gang, though they are -super- cool. He then seems to be pondering before he zips across the room four consecutive times, likely examining the place. "Well, the tech hasn't blown up yet, but if there's anybody who can handle the tech, its Cyborg. But right now, less talk about impending doom, more food." he deadpans.

Donna Troy has posed:
The Amazonian boot camp is in full swing, and Donna and Cassie treat the task of readying the table as seriously as if it were a battle. Their movement through the kitchen space is in object lesson in situational awareness, the two Amazons never seeming to get in each other's way, and the efficiency with which they handle plates could almost have been the result of precision drilling for the task. "Not that kind of grub!" Donna calls out to Starfire. "She's talking about the food. Maybe Silkie would like some?"

"Yeah put some feelers out, Cait. I'm surprised they didn't contact us yet, to be honest. I mean we're actually the ones in the phone book. We should probably bring Tony Stark in on this too - we may have the coding cracked, but the more expertise we can bring into this the better. As Robin says, there is a lot riding on us actually getting this right /first time/. We may have saved the world, but we have not yet saved Bushwick or Genosha."

By the time she's finished speaking, Donna is stuffing bread into her mouth. The very best kind of bread, the slice you gratuitously abuse your divinely-granted gifts of deftness and speed to steal from the baker while she's still slicing the loaf.

Damian Wayne has posed:
A moment of pause, a couple blinks directed at Cassie before Damian accepts the bowl offered to him, a sniff above the steaming sauce and he hasn't thrown it across the room. Must pass muster then!

He grabs a seat nearby, with plenty of room for personal space, which he quite enjoys. He at least can enjoy a good meal, it seems.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate meanders down from the residental suites barefoot, wearing some yoga pants in black and hawkeye purple, and a tanktop that says Hawthorne Academy Fencing Team on it. Yes her outfit matches. Yes that is the most expensive private High School in Manhattan.

"Sup nerds." she says as she just blithly wanders towards the table since it is set. Yeah she absolutely smelled food and can't even remotely resist it. It permeates the whole residential level really when Caitlin is making something like this after all.

Her left arm still has bandages on it, though they are freshly changed and properly applied. She also still has a heck of a bruise around her right eye and cheek. The other bruises on bruises over her bare shoulders, shoulderblades, and other arm are starting to fade with the speed of a human metabolism.

Cassie Sandsmark has posed:
Wally gets a wink. Damian gets an even brighter smile than before. And Starfire gets...

"Ohmygoddess sorry Star!" Cassie actually looks mortified when she realizes, after a moment of confusion, what is happening with the alien woman looking so concerned, with some added clarity as Donna chimes in on it. "Its also English slang for food. Here, can I bring you both up something?" She quickly reaches for one of the plates she's thrown together, and floats up ceilingwards to join the more comfortable lifelong flier. The plate is held out for either her or her pet to examine as they like!

While now floating herself, and waiting, she looks down.

"So what's up with these X-people, exactly?" Cassie wonders, following the flow of the conversation again, more than really leading it. Also, clearly engaging in some Amazon-inspired activism regarding their naming practices. "I don't mean I don't, well, I mean obviously I've seen a bunch of stuff about them on the news and some of the review footage from the larger battles, but... I guess I'm not totally sure what their deal is?" Not everyone has lived a life of super-stuff!

Still from the ceiling, she calls down a greeting to the newest arrival, mostly while avoiding dropping food on anyone. "Hey Kate!"

Koriand'r has posed:
Starfire accepts the offered plate and holds it near her body for Silkie to inspect. Wet, sloppy noises a bit like a wet dishrag dropping onto a tile floor indicate its focused but sluggish interest. "The X-Men? I do not know," she confesses. "They say they are mutants, yet different from the manner of mutant which I am, and this makes me ineligible for membership with their group?" She shrugs helplessly. Human rules, amirite?

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
"Mutants are a subspecies of homo sapien," Caitlin explains. She smiles brightly at Kate and offers her a bowl and some silverware so the archer can serve herself up some spaghetti and the tomato/meat gravy that goes with it. SHe waits until everyone's served up, then grabs a large salad bowl and fills it to the brim with food. "They're mutant rights activists." The clarification is for both Starfire and Cassie. "They got started around the same time we did. I think. Very clandestine, though. I know we play a little fast and loose with the law sometimes but there are straight up some Congressional reps who want to label them 'terrorists'. Still--" she serves herself up a salad bowl full of noodles and ladles the gravy atop it-- "I think they're generally good people. From what I've seen and heard. I'll see what I can do to reach out to them. Maybe coming at it from both angles will work."

She heads to the large dining table and drops into 'her' chair. It's not as if there's any formal seating arrangement, but Caitlin and Victor are the only ones who need titanium frames in their furniture.

The redhead interlaces her fingers under her chin, bows her head, and murmurs a quiet grace to herself before digging into her meal.

Donna Troy has posed:
"They're what happens when there are too many idiots in the word," Donna suggests. "Not them. The whole anti-mutant movement. It's bizarre. Why there would be this strange bias amongst some people to one of the various groups of people with powers... simply because there is a genetic marker people can identify, I suppose. But once a harmful idea goes out into the world, it is hard to put it back into the box. I wonder, if people were to learn that Techno is a mutant, would there really be those who thought that what we do is a good thing, but it is a problem that he does it beside us?"

"But fear begets fear, and if some start talking about a 'them' it creates in those they talk about a sense of 'us', and hence the secrecy. Perhaps if they were less secretive then people could see what good they can do, and come to trust them more. That's a debate that never ends though. It is hard for people to give up the sense of security that secrecy brings. You've met my mother, Cass."

Donna greets Kate's arrival with a wave. "Are you getting on well with the new bow?" she asks. "You should show it to Cassie, I'm sure she'd love to give it a try too.

Donna sits down at the table, but doesn't say grace - the target of her thanks for the food is sitting right there, after all. "Thanks, Cait. This smells abolutely delicious. Robin, Raven tells me you were quite the field general. Maybe next time Cait and I won't have an infiltration mission to do and will get to see for ourselves."

Donna leans over her plate, eyes shut, and draws in the scent wafting up from the food. A beatific smile spreads across her face. There's just one more thing she can say before digging in.

    "Aaaah. Food."

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate will go get the offered bowl and do all the getting of food necessary smiling to Caitlin "Thanks for cooking again Caitlin, it smells delicious!" and she gets a good amount. Someday she will stop working out like she does right now and some day she will have her metabolism slow down. Today is not the day. Carb load time. With tons of meat. Yum.

She wanders back now. "I am getting on well with the new Bow... and you are totally right." she looks over to Cass "You need to stop by my room and check out my bow after food maybe." she pauses "Okay out of context I am sure that sounds bad... the gang made me a WonderBow and it is fricking awesome. We can take it down to the Danger room and run the archery range simulation sometime maybe. I've never used a bow like this one."

She settles in to eat now and says thoughtfully. "I'm with Troia.. I do not get the whole hate on mutants but not on the metahumans and aliens and wizards and all that. I mean yeah some people like Jameson are pretty much a dickhole to all heroes but... the sheer amount of people who don't like mutants is really odd."

Cassie Sandsmark has posed:
"Wait, you're a mutant? I thought you were an alien?" Cassie wonders back at Starfire, while peering around as if trying to get a slightly better view of Silkie's feeding time. There is a definite sort of morbid curiousity there, unsure if she *really* wants to see a weird mutant bug eating while trying to enjoy her own meal... yet unable to look away!

As for the supposed terrorist/activist X-men? "I bet they'd call the Amazons terrorists too if they ever took the good fight to Man's World," she ultimately declares, sounding... perhaps just a little bit too enamored of the thought, despite its likely horrendous results. "Really, it's a small wonder they haven't invaded already... But then again, yeah, I guess I know what you mean." This is in response to what Donna says of Hippolyta, and there's a frustration in that echoed admission. "Still, you can't blame them for doing what they feel they have to, considering. So do we have, like, official communications channels if they're so secretive, or do you gotta go some place and do the secret hand shake, or what?"

Also, an eyeroll as she finally descends from mealtime with Silkie back toward the kitchen proper. "You know archery was one of my worst subjects, sis." However, this doesn't dull her enthusiasm for Kate! "I'd love to!" Check out Kate's goods. Bow. WHATEVER.

Koriand'r has posed:
"Aliens can mutate," Starfire protests to Cassie. "Look at your people. You are aliens and you have mutated." She drifts down from the ceiling to stand near the table. "I was mutated by...
"No, forgive me. I do not wish to discuss it." She clears her throat.

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin's face twists into something sympathetic at Starfire's explanation; it's clearly touched a nerve the Tamaranean, but the best her teammates can do is offer some solidarity and emotional support.

"The new bow is pretty excellent," Caitlin admits. Safer topical ground! "I hope the binding holds up. I mean, I understand the theory, and I've watched 'em made enough times," Caitlin clarifies hastily. It's true-- she's a fixture at the forges and armory when on Themyscira. "But the design theory is sound. It's not quite as strong as our bows," Caitlin says, gesturing at Cassie and Donna and herself. "But she can actually, like, draw it, and not tear her rotator cuff in the process."

"I had the idea about doing it myself, but I didn't have the facilities to do it on the island. You know how Meteria gets about people messing with her tools," she says wryly.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate is feeding her face and she pauses long enough to smile over to Caitlin. "This is delicious." she confirms. Then she takes another bite. "It is still one of the harder bows I've drawn in a regular rapid cadence but it is worth it.. thing hits like a truck compared to my old bow thanks to the stuff you and Kara did Caitlin."

She glances to Cass "You are going to love it." she grins and points a fork at Cassie. "I'll show you later."

Then she turns to Starfire. "We need to train together sometime too, I think you're one of the only members of the team who hasn't had a danger room session with me yet." she smiles encouraging. Another safe topic she figures.

Cassie Sandsmark has posed:
Starfire's explanation makes Cassie blink. "Oh, well, yeah. Right. Why couldn't you? I guess that makes sense!" Yeah, don't be so human-normative, geez! "I don't think I've mutated, though. Well. Hrm." She stops to think a moment. "Have I? I've changed, for sure. It is a pretty weird distinction to make, all around." There is a turning of her head at the alien's near-elaboration, but like Caitlin, she doesn't push. "Hey, it's what you are now that matters. Right?"

Slowly she starts to sink lower, eventually drifting to where she'd left her own plate, so she can finish her meal properly. "Sounds super cool. She can also presumably hit things with it without getting an earful of lectures about her form and technique, so there's that." Cassie's bow, however strong, is mostly gathering a lot of dust these days! "I do always kinda wonder what kind of stuff you could put together if we had, you know, our mechanic and tech wizard types playing with some of the materials and items the Amazons forge. Mix and match all that magic, science, craftsmanship together for double the result, right?" It may or may not actually work that way, but sounds cool to her!

Now she sets into her food with gusto to compensate for the delay. "Ommrphthishisshogood." Sounds like she approves? But after wolfing it down, she pops back up. "Ohsh- er, I just remembered I'm supposed to call my mom and tell her I won't be there for dinner and that I'm staying here." She turns to Kate. "I'll come by your room later!"

And she's off! For above every villain, her greatest foe remains the danger of an overprotective mother with both grounding *and* power-revocation rights!

Koriand'r has posed:
Starfire nods amiably at Kate. Her bad moods are bad, but they never last long. "As you wish," she agrees and shifts her posture to hold the greedy Silkie more firmly. "For what o' the clock shall we schedule the event?"

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin looks mighty pleased that everyone's enjoying the meal. She digs through her first bowl, goes back for seconds not far behind Wally. "Get used to that fixed string," Caitlin suggests to Kate with an earnest tone. "I can always tune the draw weight down a bit more, of course. The whole idea is that it fits your needs, not my design specs. And we're still working on those modified payload arrows-- glue, explosives, that sort of thing. Keeping them modular as possible."

Caitlin wolfs down her second bowl and glances at the time. "I gotta get running, too. Need to head home and water my plants. Work tomorrow; trying to help clean the labs up and take stock of things." She grimaces. "Mr. Stark had a little industrial mishap and the Tower's a mess, so..."

She shakes her head. "Anyway, whenever folks are done, just put the leftovers in the fridge," she bids them, and gathers up her purse and a light sweater she was wearing before she started cooking.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate looks after Cassie. "I don't think she realizes that is exactly what we did.. that we took the Themyscira bows and turned it into something entirely new with new technology... god she is going to be surprised." she grins and takes another bite. "See you Caitlin." yeah Kate will be getting a second bowl soon too.

She turns her attention over to Starfire and smiles. "Well Kori... maybe tomorrow morning?" she shrugs a tiny bit "I'm always working out it feels like.. but usually first thing in the morning and then later in the day before dinner... so just let me know when is good Star." she heads to get another bowl for herself now.

Seems like everyone is doing a dine and dash. "I need to call my sister... see you later Kori."
