At first just a normal girl, Cassie Sandsmark once used the Gauntlets of Atlas and Sandals of hermes to fight alongside her idol, Wonder Woman, as Wonder Girl. Years later, she discovered the truth that she was the half-mortal daughter of Zeus and recieved divine power in her own right. After months of intensive training on Themyscira, Cassie is back to fight evil and promote the Amazon ways of Peace, Love, and Justice, as the new and improved Wonder Girl!

*2001: Born to noted archaeologist Helena Sandsmark; father unknown
*2017: Discovers and uses Themysciran artifacts to aid Wonder Woman, begins part-time adventuring career as Wonder Girl. Joins a group of other teen heroes
*2019: Graduates High School. Is taken to Mt. Olympus on her 18th birthday where Zeus reveals he is her father. Empowered as a Demigoddess. Postpones starting college in order to dedicate to training with the Amazons on Themyscira.
*2020: Finishes training, inducted as an Amazon Warrior and given her bracers. Presented with the Lasso of Lightning as a 'gift' from her half-brother, Ares. Returns to Man's World.

Personality

Courageous:
Cassie has a heroic soul, inspired by years of reading mythology before she became Wonder Girl. And once she became a superhero, that quality came shining through. She throws herself into danger to try and stop it, never hesitating or considering her own safety. She's grown more tactical, but she's still headstrong enough to confront evil and power that's being abused.
Kind:
Cassie also has an extreme amount of compassion, a fine quality in an Amazon. While some might consider her naive and exploit that, Cassie still tries to see the best in others and treat everyone with respect and kindness.
Loyal:
Cassie is true to her principles as well as her friends. She won't sacrifice or betray either, always trying to figure out how to preserve them when faced with challenges. Once taken into confidence, Cassie will never betray it or tell a secret.
Protective:
Throughout her heroic career, Cassie has always been a 'tank'. And now that she's a Demigoddess, she's even tougher and stronger. She never hesitates to put herself in-between danger and someone else, even if that other person can take the hit. Protecting others; friends, family, innocents, is what Cassie does.

Enhanced Durability:
While not totally indestructible, Cassie's body is able to resist damage about equal to a heavy brick wall. In addition, she heals from wounds far faster and is immune to normal poisons, toxins, and diseases. She can also go for several days without rest and exert herself for hours without fatigue.
Enhanced Reflexes:
Cassie's reflexes and many, many times faster than a human's. She's able to dodge gunfire and energy blasts, as well as move fast enough to block bullets and blasts with her indestructible bracers.
Enhanced Strength:
While not at the same level as Wonder Woman, Cassie's strength is still impressive, allowing her to lift dozens of tons in weight and hold her own (for a bit) against powerhouses like minor Kryptonians.
Flight:
Cassie is capable of self-sustained flight of up to Mach 2.
Immortality:
As a Demigoddess, Cassie is immune to the effects of aging, and will not die of old age. Her aging process has also slowed to the point where her physical body will seem to age only 1 year for every 10, with the possibility of the aging process further slowing or halting completely for her at some future time.

Acrobatics:
Along with fighting training, the Amazons taught Cassie acrobatics and gymnastics. She is as skilled as a collegiate gymnast, making her very impressive when combined with her superhuman agility.
Fighting:
Cassie has had intensive training by the Amazons of Themyscira in their fighting techniques. She is highly skilled in both striking and grappling, putting her on par with most 'black belt' fighters.
Mythology:
Cassie inherited her mother's love of Greek Mythology, even before Wonder Woman and the Olympians entered her life. She had extensive knowledge of Greek Mythology before, now she has extensive first-hand knowledge.
Weapons:
Along with striking and wrestling, Cassie was taught the use of Amazon weapons: sword, shield, spear, bow & arrow, net, and lasso.

Bracers of Submission:
Made of an indestructible metal, Cassie's bracers are a symbol of her status as an Amazon. They can be used to block gunfire and energy blasts, and Cassie's reflexes are fast enough to deflect automatic weapons fire. She's also skilled enough to redirect single gunshots back at the shooter or another target.
Helena Sandsmark:
Cassie's mother is a major source of emotional support for her. In addition, Cassie can call on her for archaeological or museum related questions or issues.
Lasso of Lightning:
A 'gift' from her half-brother Ares, Cassie's lasso looks to be made of the same golden metal as Wonder Woman's lasso, and can also lengthen like hers. However, the lasso has the power to summon Zeus' lightning into any target captured within it, rather than force them to obey commands. The lasso is also cursed, bringing out the owner's anger over time. Subtle at first, the more the lasso is used, the more the wielder succumbs to rage, both in and out of combat. In addition, the stronger the wielder's anger, the more powerful the lightning called forth, creating a sort of mystical feedback loop.
Mt. Olympus:
Cassie is a recognized, if grudgingly accepted, member of the Olympian pantheon. She can communicate with her divine relatives and ask for aid or assistance; but that goes both ways. She's also able to travel back and forth between the Home of the Gods and Earth.
Themyscira:
Cassie has been inducted into the Amazon Sisterhood, and is able to travel to and from Themyscira freely.
Wonder Woman:
Mentor, Idol,surrogate Big Sister. Diana is the person with the most impact in Cassie's life. She can go to Diana for advice, aid, or just about anything. Cassie also works for Diana as part of the Themysciran Embassy to earn money for college.
Weaknesses

Anger:
While not apparent at first, the curse of her lasso is turning Cassie into a time bomb. There will be moments where she loses her cool with increasing frequency, and she will have to learn to control this dark aspect lest it consume her.
Hera:
Zeus' wife doesn?t like any of the offspring of her husband's infidelities, even if they are devoted Amazons. Hera is a subtle enemy who will engage in plots to hurt Cassie emotionally, rather than physically.
Maternal Depowerment:
While Cassie has full access to her Demigoddess power and abilities, Zeus has put in a specific condition to prevent all that power from going to his daughter's head. With a touch, Helena Sandsmark can 'de-power' Cassie, blocking all divine power in her until Helena consciously revokes the block.
Responsibilities:
Superhero. Ambassadorial Assistant. Demigoddess. College Student. Cassie has a lot on her plate, all demanding her time. Some are more demanding than others. She's trying to balance everything, but it's not clear how long she can keep it all up.
