Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Baxter Stockman, Greg Rollins, Billy Batson, Naria Shepard

Baxter Stockman has posed:
The shadows have cast stripes of day and night in Tribeca, the taller building casting the north/south streets into a premature night, while the ead/west streets remain sunny. The sky is still blue, but it's starting to gain that pinkish hue of evening.
Washington Market Park is busy, as usual, though most of the traffic is that of people heading home, skirting the greenery as they pass by the every day beggars that have set up shop, hoping for a handout or two to compensate their unemployment.

Greg Rollins has posed:
Greg Rollins is mostly heading along, looking around as he goes. The Tribeca is a bit farther from his new home in Happy Harbor, but hey! His suit can go Mach 2 if he has to! The teenage alien's currently just wandering a little. New York has always been fascinating to him. Of course, seeing and figuring out about the poor is not something he likes seeing. That's lead to him checking thoughts before handing out on occasion. Just the surface brush of thoughts, not actual full on mental probing. And he's careful about it. Making sure other beggars don't see him do it if they are just doing it to not have an actual job.

Otherwise, he looks mostly ordinary if a bit out of place. Black shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots? Well, he isn't in Texas, but certainly does at least like the style.

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson, once he had gotten out of class, spoke the magic word 'SHAZAM!' to become the Mightiest Mortal of the same name. And with that, he takes a flight between the cities of Metropolis, Gotham, and finally New York. It was like a really long patrol, but Billy also really needed the time to himself. Just how things are, you know? Sometimes, you desperately need a break from the mundane life of a teenager...

and just be heroic.

So, as Shazam flies across New York (he got out of Gotham quick fast and in a hurry because Batman is terrifying) and so, the red-clad, white-caped hero soars across the heavens, namely, over Washington Market Park, his hood covering his face as he looks down at the people below. "Man, no bad guys today? That sucks." But in a good way!

Though Billy was certainly craving any kind of action.

Naria Shepard has posed:
A rush across the city, a streak of blue light on the skyline...and the occasional snapped selfie from atop one of the buildings to add her her social media. Rave was out and about!

Without a gig tonight for her non-vigilante passions, the neon-bluenette young woman was making her way across the city wrapped in her usual skirt and top that made it look like she'd stepped right out of a nightclub but then she'd wondered more than once where all those other heroes get the fancy suits anyway?

The comet-like streak of neon comes to a stop, forming the girl who lazily rests on the edge of the nearby building with an exhaled sigh, swinging her legs lazily. Even without the excitement of something to thwart or daring deed to attempt? It was still pretty neat to enjoy the sunset.

Baxter Stockman has posed:
An older man with a sign of cardboard had been standing, waiting for chairty, when a woman who looks in similar straits approaches in a wheelchair and a prosthetic leg. The two talk a little, and it becomes a little more heated. Who gets to work this corner. She says it's her turn, he says he was here first. Both might be a little inebriated, or otherwise under the influence. They banter back and forth, wandering from their initial stop as he chases her off, then she hops out of the chair to chase him back. Neither is actually making physical contact, but it draws them away from the edge of the park, and more to the center. Their surface thoughts? Well, it doesn't take a telepath to read what these two are thinking about: who is right.

Greg Rollins has posed:
Greg's eyebrows raise as he looks over at the conflict. That the lady is walking has him eyeing her carefully. And well... he tries his best to ignore the situation. It's an arguement. Neither one should come to blows over this, right?

Still, it's not long before he wanders that way. Pulling a pair of ten dollars, he taps the two on the shoulder, "Here. Stop fighting. You're both in the same state." He offers the dollar bills separately to each of them, eyeing them to make sure neither makes a move on the other's dollar bill. "Go get a warm meal or something."

Naria Shepard has posed:
An arguement at this height isn't something Rave is going to hear. Super hearing wasn't one of her tricks, but seeing the aggitation wasn't exactly difficult. Of course, breaking up an arguement like that? It wasn't exactly something she was as comfortable with. Mooks with guns and would-be kidnappers? Heck, even that one mutant guy who'd broken her arm were all more comfortable than trying to play mediator for the agitated sorts.

How did regular cops do it?

Still, she was curious enough now to be watching, faintly glowing eyes alight with interest.

Baxter Stockman has posed:
Both of the desperate characters turn, at first about to turn their anger toward Greg, at least, it was before they saw the pair of tens. "Oh, thanks," the woman says, giving a mostly toothless smile. The shaggy looking man nods. "Thank you for your kindness, God bless you," he offers.

They look at each other, then look back at Greg, and both start walking away...together? They go back to the wheelchair, and she sits down in it. He actually takes the handles, and starts pushing her along. A strange turn to cooperation. They make their way toward a hot dog vendor, when through the park comes rolling two small robots, about waist height, with blue and red flashing lights on the top. They each roll on one wheel, and roughly in the shape of a human torso, a round dome as the crest of each of them as they start speeding toward the two homeless individuals. Is that something the police department has?

Greg Rollins has posed:
The two strange robots have Greg at least stopping. And he does glare at the two, checking their minds again to make sure he wasn't just tricked. Then he looks over at the robots speeding at them and raises an eyebrow.

He expected that in another civilization, perhaps, but here on Earth? Well, that's just not normal. And so he moves to intercept the robots. "Hello!" He tries greeting them first, "Make and purpose, please?" Seriously, it works in outer space!

Naria Shepard has posed:
That was....weird. Robots? Toys? Some evil little trap thing? It was...not what Rave was expecting anyway. A quick 'zip' and she was down on street level, arms folded at her chest as she made her way over at 'human' walking speed and curiousity plain on her face. It wasn't like -she- looked normal, but small little unicycle robot things were still going to draw attention!

Baxter Stockman has posed:
The two robots zip past and around Greg, fully ignoring him. "Halt!" comes the order to the two homeless citizens. "No!" They starts rushing away, and after a few steps, the woman abandons her wheelchair, hopping with her prosthetic leg as they both start running into the park.
"It's the aliens!" the homeless man screams as he rushes past some New Yorkers and Rave. "They are going to take our brains!"

"Halt! Police! Halt! Police!" The two robots change course efficiently and automatically, closing in. They are clearly faster than either of their targets.

Greg Rollins has posed:
Okay, that's not good. And probably false. Greg takes off running faster, then suddenly... seems to just grow out of his clothes as silver covers his body head to toe. A shredded pile of clothes is left behind him as he speeds up even more, and takes to the air with a burst of what appears to be thrusters or the like from under his feet as he seeks to overtake the robots and get between them and their would-be targets. "Hold it, you two! Stand down before I decide to call the police and make sure you two are what you say you are!" He says towards the two robots.

His visor flashes as he talks in time with his words, but otherwise he's mostly aiming to block the little robots. Earth doesn't have anything like these as far as he knows, and now he's curious as to just /what/ they are.

Naria Shepard has posed:
Was that a thing? Automatic police robots? Sure, she'd seen the odd article about robot police things that told people not to litter and called in real police backup, but chasing down a perp? That was a new one! Giving a little frown for the moment, she opens her mouth to say something when one of the aparent bystanders just...turns into some sort of shining rocket man.

That's...a new one too.

Light dances down the length of Rave's hair, a momentary 'twitch' as the young heroine is left...a little lost trying to understand what she's actually seeing!

Baxter Stockman has posed:
As Rave watches Greg challenge the smaller robots, one of them spits out. "Please, do not interfere," the voice reads out the response. "Jurisdiction 53-B Mandate for apprehension of panhandlers. Subject: Jane Doe, wanted for possible theft. You have the right to remain silent.
The other zips out a steel cable, dexterously catching the woman by one hand and then the other. It pulls her closer, and from its chest it produces a type of manacle, fastening her wrists together.
"Help, the aliens got me!" she pleads to the crowd, most of home seem to be interested in NOT getting involved.
