Buri

When the Demiurge burst to awareness, many fundamental energies collided and clashed across dozens of planetary systems. Nine realms in particular manifested quite near to one another. On frigid Niffleheim, the ancient entity called Ymir creaked to life. He was met by Gaea and they produced Buri, one of the oldest of the New Gods.

Buri married a Frost Giant and had three sons: Bor, Mimir, and Njord.

Buri ruled Asgard for thousands of years until he was challenged by his son, Bor. Bor had discovered that Buri was hoarding the power of the unoccupied other realms. Once Buri was defeated, he fled in exile to Niffleheim, where he rode out the Ragnarok cycle in isolation for millennia. Bor would father Odin, who in turn would father Thor.
