Iron Fist
The mantle of the Iron Fist is a title passed on by one worthy successor to another. The Iron Fist hails from the mystical city of K'un-Lun on the border of Nepal and China and is considered one of the purest conduits of chi in the world.
It is the duty of the Iron Fist to defend the city of K'un-Lun against hostile invaders. K'un-Lun is a nexus point for the New Gods of the Chinese pantheons. From K'un-Lun a person can travel freely to Tian and other mystical locations.
The Iron Fist is empowered by the deity of K'un-Lun to defend that city. In particular the Iron Fist is required to return to K'un-Lun every 88 years and compete as one of the Immortal Weapons in a grand tournament. Rankings in the tournament significantly affects the harmony of the Seven Capital Cities and determines their status over one another for the following decades.
