Despite the support, he fails to make friends at Xavier's and is unable to hold things together for very long.<br>*2022: Christian falls off the wagon, excuses himself from the lives of the few who love him, chasing the dragon.<br>*2023-2024: In an attempt to not be a burden, being lucky enough to survive another OD, Christian's release from the hospital comes with the agreement of rehab. PTSD related to his prior institutionalization prevented rehab from being particularly helpful and he goes in and out of programs in a range of cities around the US. It's enough to kick heroin, but still turns to less destructive drugs to keep the voices out and the nightmares at bay.<br>*2025: Christian has returned to NYC's nightlife, only barely more in control of his powers and his addiction.

These illusions are very hard to break through, and in some ways, he may not know he is actively doing it.<br><br>
