A Blind Man, a Chimpanzee, and a SHIELD Agent Walk Into A Bar
Date of Scene: 30 April 2023
Location: Josie's Bar
Synopsis: People gather at Josie's Bar to watch the basketball playoffs. When Bullseye feels slighted, things turn murderous.
Cast of Characters: Matthew Murdock, Daisy Johnson, Detective Chimp, Ashton Broder, Bullseye, Mary Jane Watson, Henrietta Morrison

Matthew Murdock has posed:
It's Sunday night. Josie's Bar is running a pretty good crowd for the evening, thanks to the Nets and the Knicks having back to back playoff games against different opponents. The televisions are tuned to the game. The Nets lost so a few people are glum. Of course the Knicks fans who don't like the Nets are kind of happy about it and razzing their intra city rivals.

Matt Murdock enters, his cane tapping as he sorts through all the noise and scents, looking for familiar ones. He's supposed to meet Daisy here and doesn't know if she's beaten her here or not. Though it probably won't take him long to spot her, if she's there he'd wait for her to call out for appearances. Or if not, go and find a decent table for them.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Gooo Knicks!"

The exclamation heard on sensitive ears is telling that indeed Daisy may have beaten Matt to the punch. She's already inside the bar, having gotten their favorite table seat so they can watch the game in a rare day off for the two of them. Or for some it will mostly be listening to it. And drinking.

Any excuse is good for drinking. They may also be hanging out with Jessica Jones too much ...

The Shield Agent takes another drink from her beer, tonight she wearing a pair of jeans and a top. On her head is a Knicks cap just so everyone knows what side she is on in this playoff battle!

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp had a job in the area. Not a fun job or an exciting one, but a job none the less. He was following a guy whose wife thought he was cheating on her. It turns out the guy has other problems besides women, but thats not Chimp's problem. He will report it and see what the lady wants done. It has been a long evening and he has spent way to much time on fire escapes today. So, seeing a bar, he decided to get himself a drink. He walks in and looks about before heading to the bar. He does get a few looks but once he has climbed up onto the barstool, he looks to the bartender "Yes I am real, yes I talk. I want a Boilermaker, a menu if ya serve food." He does put a twenty on the bar figuring that may help cut off more questions.

Matthew Murdock has posed:
Matt Murdock stands listening and then he catches that familiar voice. His lips pull back into a smile as he taps his way over to the bar rather than to Daisy just yet. "Josie?" Matt says as if he can't tell that the woman is behind the bar.

"Hey Matt," she replies as she goes to get the menu for Detective Chimp while peering at him with a bit of open curiosity. "The place right next door delivers, just call it in and tell them where to find you in the bar," she says, tapping the number on the menu of the restaurant next door. It has your typical American fare, not too far off from what a bar would normally serve, at that.

Matt listens to the exchange, his curiosity peaking a bit. "Did Daisy get me a beer yet?" he asks Josie. She replies back to him in the affirmative. "Ok, thanks," Matt replies before turning to begin tapping his way over towards Daisy's table. He takes a seat when he reaches it. "Who is that at the bar? I gather there's something unusual about him?" Matt asks.

Ashton Broder has posed:
Ashton rolls into the bar sporting a voluminous multi-colored mo-hawk, ripped jeans, and a studded leather jacket. He eyes the bar and then rummages around in his jeans to pull his wallet. He considers how wise it would be to try to pass off his fake id eyes narrowing as a pedantic inner voice recalls the code of conduct for the new school he just enrolled in.

He sucks on his cheek and decides not to push his luck today. When he draws the attention of the bartender, he orders a coke with lime and some fries, taking a seat on a bar stool and eyeing the TV momentarily.

Bullseye has posed:
Bullseye slides into the bar, a backwards baseball cap on his head, sunglasses on. He's chewing on a toothpick and Matt will pick up the scent of tobacco on him. Tobacco, deodorant, gun oil, blood. Can Matt tell if it's his blood or not? Take a guess.

He's fit and well-muscled, with a strong jawline and wearing a black t-shirt and a pair of jeans.

He takes a seat, drumming his fingers along the surface of it. He's casual, calm, lucid. He smiles broadly at the server behind the bar.

"Vodka sour. Slice of lemon. And one of those little umbrellas," he says.

His glance around the bar gets interrupted because, well, because there's a flamin' talking chimp in the place. "I heard this neighborhood was wild, but damn."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"You were wide open, Carr!"

Daisy is complaining at the TV as if the actual player could listen to her complaining to him about things. Just like any other sports fan! Though the complaining stops when she notices Matt coming in. There's a look up at him, followed by a grin and she leaning over to place a kiss on his chin. "Got you your favorite." beer, that is. Then a glance all the waaaay over to the bar. "I think I may have had one too many beers .., there's a talking chimpanze there.." but then she nudges Matt with an elbow. "Actually, he's with Shield, saw him over at the Triskelion a few times. Detective Chimp is his name. Yes, he's a detective."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp nods to Jose, and will pull a cellphone from his jacket, setting it on the bar as he looks over at the new arrival at the bar. His own senses while maybe not up to Matt's can pick up on some of the scents on the man. He keeps it to himself though and offers a nod in greeting. He does notice the kid with the mohawk, and smirks a bit to himself thinking of an old joke.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would enter on in to the bar. She's just finished a dropoff over in the area, and now she's going to slide in voer at it for a drink. Well, nothing alcoholic, at least. She goes to count in her head how much her expense account will cover, what the quality of things served here are.. She moves to glance over the menu..

"Fish and chips." Might as well go ahead and keep it relatively normal. SHe has enough to cover that and some soda.

Matthew Murdock has posed:
Matt Murdock slips an arm around Daisy in a hug of greeting then takes a seat at the table. He folds his cane and slips it into a back pocket. For a change he's in some jeans and long sleeve black shirt rather than a suit as most people in Hell's Kitchen are used to seeing him in. Even on Sunday, at least in the morning, it's just a church going suit instead of a law office going suit.

Matt tells Daisy, "Ah, so that would explain the comment about yes he can talk," he says. "I didn't realize you had anyone like that at SHIELD," he says. "And now there's all sorts of jokes about your coworkers that I can't make now as they'd be insensitive," he says, teasing though with that even delivery of his, it barely shows in his voice.

"What's the score?" Matt asks, as the announcers haven't said it since he came in.

Meanwhile at the bar, Josie is dispensing drinks and putting in orders for people. The older woman is a little sour most of the time, but it's a good night of business with the pair of playoff games for New York teams. Not that that keeps her from being sour. It just means she's sour with more money at the end of the night.

Henrietta Morrison has posed:
; peers around the bar as she walks in. Damn, doesn't look like there's any arcade cabinets here. Oh well, beggars aren't going to be choosers. She sticks her hands in the pockets of her hoodie as she walks in, doing a double take at the sight of what appears to be a chimpanzee.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
With Matt talking about her co-workers it has Daisy chuckle. "Well, I won't talk about the demon then...." and she doesn't, leaving that tease up in the air on whether it's real or not. She does wave her hand over at the bar to the chimp... And that makes her spot MJ.

"There's MJ there, didn't know she was a Knicks fan too." or maybe she is just here to drink!

"Hey MJ!" she tells from across the bar to the other Agent, then looking back at the screen and ....

"Oh, come on..., we are trailing by 5 now. 41 to 36." she lets out a sigh.

Daisy clearly lives these games intensely.

Ashton Broder has posed:
The younger mutant has been sneaking out enough to visit Bushwick that a chimpanzee at the bar doesn't seem as out of place as it should be. As a result, Ashton doesn't stare at the detective. His gaze briefly skims the new arrivals, giving them once overs while he waits on his coke and fries.

Mentally, he plays the 'age' guessing game while he ignores the sports for the most part. He drums his fingers on the bar edge, eyes rolling at the intensity coming from Daisy.

Bullseye has posed:
Bullseye grins and nods to Henrietta, sitting on a stool at the bar near where she walked in, "I know. I ain't used to it yet either. But I ain't mad at it. Let your freak flag fly," he says. He gets his drink and drops a few bills on the table, sipping on it and getting a beer to go along with it as he pushes up from the bar.

"How you doin' tonight, sugar?" he says to MJ as he passes her and crosses over to set his drinks down on a small table.

"Now, who wants to play a little...darts?" he says with a somewhat unsettling smile.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
At the call from Daisy, Mary Jane would look over her shoulder and wave, "Hey there Daisy!" Mary Jane would shake her head over at Bullseye, "No, thanks, alreayd have someone I'm seeing." Something about the man is -off-. The part of her that's Sonja can tell there's something amiss. But can't pin it down. Guy's maybe just a bit creepy.

She heads on over towards Daisy and Matt. "I've been so distracted I didn't even know it was basketball season. Shows you how attentive I am tot he modern sports world. And this must be the plucky lawyer boyfriend. Pleased to meet you." She wouldn't bother to stick her hand out.

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp looks over and offers Daisy a nod in greeting and one for MJ as he sees her as well. They have ran into one another a couple times, even if not talked much. He taps on his phone for a moment making his own order before putting it back in his pocket. He downs his drink and orders another, and then turns to look over at the game a bit.

Matthew Murdock has posed:
Matt Murdock tells Daisy, "Feel free to invite him over too if you'd like. The more the merrier," he says. And then Matt is rising to his feet as he hears Mary Jane Watson's voice joining them. At the greeting he does offer his hand in her direction. "One of them," Matt says in reply to MJ. "Some people find a shirt they like and buy two so they have another if something happens to the first. I think Daisy does the same with plucky lawyer boyfriends." He reaches down, hand finding Daisy's shoulder after a moment's search to give it a little squeeze as he turns a grin her general direction.

"Matt Murdock," he offers before taking his seat again. "I'm more of a football and boxing fan, myself. But I like to be around people excited by a good game," he admits. He hears the offer of a dart game, waiting to see if anyone takes Bullseye up on it.

Henrietta Morrison has posed:
Henrietta tilts her head. "Oooookay." she moves out of the way of the door, staring at the tv. Basketball wasn't really her thing, but it was something to at least watch as she shifted her weight from foot to foot.

Ashton Broder has posed:
The "Oooookay" coming from the doorway catches his attention because it has the right kind of snark level. He turns on his stool as his eyes coke and fries arrive eyeing Henrietta.

His gaze follows onto Bullseye. He shakes his head at the darts invitation, his hair bobbing as he turns back to his food. He munches on a fry while pulling his smart phone out of his pocket. He starts swiping for something to hold his interest.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Daisy isn't about to stop seeing the game to go play darts so no good from her to accept Bullseye's invitation! Though she smiles when MJ comes over, "Yes. Plucky.." She says of Matt with a laugh.

"I have told you about MJ before, haven't I?" She asks Matt, "Sometimes I get distracted..." like when there's a game on.

"Just coming in for drinks then?" she asks of MJ. And then she gestures at the chimp to come over.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would slide on over to the seat, "Just was finishing a quick errand. was on this side of town and wanted to stretch my legs and get something to eat before I had to head back. Don't need to hit up the subway for awhile anyways." By 'errand' she likely meant 'job related'. The joys of being the low person on the totem pole sometimes..

"You definitely do need to get that shirt." She goes to let out a sigh as Bullseye looks about. "Fine." She would deadpan, going over to glance over at the ones up. Likely cheap ones, poorly balanced.. "Just no wagers, I suck at this."

Bullseye has posed:
Bullseye grins at MJ as she accepts the invitation. He had been distracted for a moment as he thought, just for a second, that the blind guy over there almost accepted. That's be weird. And funny. But weird. But funny.

Ah, well, the dame's a much better result anyway. He has enough weird in his life already. He's got himself.

"Wouldn't dream of taking your money, baby. Just for funsies. Doesn't matter if your good or bad. You won't beat me anyway."

Matthew Murdock has posed:
Matt Murdock takes a sip of his beer and telling Daisy, "I think you did comment something about her. And then cut off, telling me that you'd have to kill me if you said more?" he tells her. Boy is he on a roll today with the jokes. And none of the blind guy jokes, even.

At Mary Jane's proclamation to Bullseye that she sucks at darts, Matt stage whispers to Daisy, "I didn't think they let you guys suck at anything. Isn't in the regulations?"

Over at the bar, Josie looks up and sees Henrietta there at the doorway looking as if she isn't sure if she's coming in or not. "Come on in, sweetie. We got every kind of beer you could want, as long as the one you want is one we've got. Mixed drinks too. And there's pool and darts if you don't care for the game."

A cheer goes up as someone on the Knicks sinks a three point shot and pulls them back to within a point.

Henrietta Morrison has posed:
Henrietta blinks as she's finally acknowledged, laughing. "Don't think I can drink alcohol in America yet," she admits, stepping closer to the bar. "Just some pepsi will be alright, what'cha got for food here?" her eyes find Ashton, eyes widening in awe at the mohawk. "Damn."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp will get his new drink and tells Jose if his food gets here just point them towards him. He walks along over towards the table with the lawyer and the shield agent and says "Hey, how you doing?" This is a greeting to Daisy and then to Matt he says "About 3 and half foot on your left about 45 degrees." giving the blind man an idea where he is.

Ashton Broder has posed:
Ashton offers a little grin at Henrietta at her response. He waggles his eyebrows and raises his glass to her. "Alright, that's the kind of response I want."

He gestures to the side at his plate of fries, "People's fries if you want to steal one. I just wanted to nibble at a few."

Smirking, he looks down at his phone, though his eyes do look occasionally toward the TV, just out of curiosity about what all the excitement is for.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
The sureness of Bullseye's commentary internally raises Sonja's hackles. There's a low growl from Mary Jane's inside that's brushed aside. She doesn't really -care- here anyways. Sonja's competitive over everything. Mary Jane just finds something that she's doing almost on a dare to not be something to go all in on.

"Well, guess there'll be no surprise there. I'll go first?" She would go to take one of the cheap darts..

And then goes to flip it over towards the board. Outside ring. Five points.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
With the three-point sinker there's a Woohoo out of Daisy, "Closing in .., just need to keep that roll going..." maybe she has a bet going with the Knicks or something considering the intensity. Who knows! But then her attention is back up on the others nearby, chuckling as MJ wanders off to go play darts.

"Ahhhh, she can never refuse a challenge.." Some amusement showing on Daisy's expression. And then laughs at the taunt from Bullseye. "Now you are just waking up the beast..." she calls out with a playful grin.

Attention back on Matt she tells him, "This is Detective Chimp, Matt. And this is Matt. A damn good lawyer." she sagely nods, resting her hand atop Matt's own hand.

Henrietta Morrison has posed:
"Nice mohawk's a nice mohawk, though I can't imagine the amount of hair gel you go through." Henrietta replies, scooting over to grab a french fry. "I'm Henrietta, pleasure to meet you."

Bullseye has posed:
Bullseye gives an approving nod, "Very nice, very nice. Fives a good starter, not too ambitious. Gives you a chance to get your nerves out, the risk isn't huge unless you just blow it. Which you won't. You've got enough nerve to hold it, I bet."

He reaches down adn draws a dart, flipping it end over end in his hand and moves his hand so fast it can't even be seen as he throws the dart. It hits like a bullet, sinking to the root of the needle and into the board beneath. The flared end trembles a moment then goes still. Dead center.

"Bullseye."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
There's a blink over from Mary Jane. That went -through- the board and stuck it in place. How hard did.. "Wow, I'm definitely not going to be topping that. I think if we took a ruler it would be there down to the millimeter." She goes to quick look over her shoulder at Daisy for a checkin. Was that just her?

But now, Sonja's definitely up and has her dander out. "But, I'm definitely not going to get that or anywhere near it.." She lets Bullseye retrieve his dart and shakes her head. Squinting her eyes over and goes to flip the dart along overhead. It arcs gracefully..

Inner ring. Twenty. Triple.

Ashton Broder has posed:
The grin continues from Ashton, "Ashton, likewise. As for the product, I've got some tricks that help with that. But yea, it takes some word to keep it perky."

He sips from his coke and looks over his shoulder at the dart game. He blinks as he sees Bullseye toss his dart. He offers a low whistle. "Scary."

Matthew Murdock has posed:
Josie sets Henrietta up with her order, and anyone else who hasn't received it already. Then one of the regulars is haranguing her about the size of the TV screens, the woman moving down the bar to give him what for.

Matt smiles in the direction of Detective Chimp, offering the hand that Daisy hasn't claimed. "Nice to meet you," he offers. Matt's head comes up just a tiny bit at the sound of the hard impact from the throw by Bullseye that sinks the dart into the board so deep, though that's the only reaction he shows.

He asks Daisy, "Ah, kind of like Marty in Back to the Future? Does the chicken taunt work?" he asks her.

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp will shake the hand of the other and says "A good lawyer, that can always be handy to know of." He admits a bit and says "So, you two known one another long?" He asks trying to make small talk, which may not be Chimps most practiced skill.

Bullseye has posed:
Bullseye walks forward and retrieves the dart from its place in the center of the board, "I like that dart. Good smooth throw. Nice balance. Best of the bunch. Never waste more effort than you need on a weak weapon. A dart? Oh. I like a dart," he says.

He lankily walks back to the proper distance, smiling his wide smile to MJ, "See? You warmed up, you got your groove. You didn't let my bullseye shake you.

His eyes barely flick towards the board. He uses mostly his wrist, flexors straining for a split second before rebounding with perfection, flinging the dart back to the same hole. This time it doesn't even shake. Dead center.

"Bullseye."

Henrietta Morrison has posed:
She sits down, hand at her pepsi. A wary eye on Josie and the regular's argument before her attention is on the dart game. "Is he gonna do that every single time?" she wonders out loud, stealing another french fry.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
The bullseye shot (Twice!) from Bullseye gets Daisy to look over. Specially at that first one. Unusual. It has her arch a brow and go quiet for a time. It's that quietness that tells Mat most likely that something has peaked her interest. "Mmmmm..."

"Might be MJ found an opponent she can't best. In darts." But her voice is intrigued now at what's happening, brows furrowed. Matt's joke has her smile faintly though.

"Try and find out." she teases Matt, head slowly turning his way. ".... Or you chicken, Mcfly?"

Ashton Broder has posed:
Ashton seems fine with having the fry plate continue to be pilfered from. He shrugs at Henrietta. "Uh, good question. Starting to think that guy has a knack for this."

He rubs his cheek and mutters, "Glad I'm not the dart board."

Frowning, he mutters a little bit. "He knows he's good at it too. Don't know if I admire or hate that. Guess we'll have to see how much he gloats."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Well, she's not going to be topping that. Daisy doesn't seem to be phased over, so Mary Jane just shrugs, "Well, I got lucky once. You sound like someone who does this regularly." She would inquire over at him as she goes to take her final throw over at the boar.d This one lands over on soemthing relatively normal.

Seven. No doubts, no troubles. Leaving her after three throws a score barely over sixty. With just two throws Bullseye has already won.

Henrietta Morrison has posed:
"No one likes a sore winner. Or a sore loser." Henrietta muses, staring down at the plate. "You sure you're alright with me stealing your fries?" she asks.

Matthew Murdock has posed:
Matt Murdock finds Daisy's hand to give it a squeeze. "Well, my dad always used to say, it isn't how many times you get knocked down. It's how many times you get back up again. Though admittedly that's a better boxing quote than it is a darts one," he tells the young woman.

Matt's head quirks a bit, ear towards the TV as he hears the crowd erupt as one of the Knicks steals the ball and races down the length of the court. He leaps, soaring through the air to slam dunk the ball through to give the Knicks their first lead of the second half!

Bullseye has posed:
Bullseye nods, "A time or two, yeah. Gotta pass the time somehow. You grow up in the system, you spend a lot of time waiting. Waiting to talk or to be talked to. Staring at walls, with nothing but a pencil or a cigarette. I never had a phone or a game and definitely not a dart. I had a quarter. Or a pebble from my shoe. Or the little cap at the tip of the lace, what's the name of that thing? I can never remember. And I'd throw. Over and over. Every time. I'd throw."

He's now not even looking at the board has walked a little off to the side and then his left hand, his off-hand, if he had an off-hand, which he doesn't, going back and behind his head to fling the dart, unseeing, not even a glance in half a minute, a single, smooth motion.

Thunk. Dead center.

"Bullseye."

Ashton Broder has posed:
Ashton waves his hand dismissively, "Yea, I don't mind. I've got a certain look I'm trying to keep, and while I don't sweat anyone having the body they want, my ideal isn't going to be kept by eating the whole plate myself."

"So like... what brings you here? I was looking for a place where I didn't have teachers breathing down my neck, y'know?" He looks back to Henrietta then toward Matt, rolling eyes at the 'My dad' advice.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
In the system? That sounds weird. "Sounds like you had it rough." She would glance over at the board, then at Bullseye. "So, do you have a name or not? Or should we call you Darts? Since that seems what you're really good at." She would offer lightly while going to take a step back while glancing over at Matt and going to slide down next to Daisy once more.

"Game going good?"

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp looks over at Matt and his reactions towards the darts and the game, but the Chimp's main attention is over towards Bullseye. He starts running through his mental filing Nope, not Australian enough for Boomerrang, no eye thingy for Deadshot. He hmms to himself and drinks his beer.

Henrietta Morrison has posed:
"Suit yourself." Henrietta shrugs, looking around for some kind of sauce to put on the fries. "Didn't wanna go home just yet." she replies, finding the tried and true tabasco. She rolls her eyes at Bullseye, pouring the sauce on a portion of the plate to dip her fries in.

Ashton Broder has posed:
"Yea, I get that. Sometimes it's just nice to be somewhere else." Ashton nods and scans the bar, noting the discerning look of the chimp toward Bullseye. He takes a fresh fry and starts munching then looks to Henrietta. "You work nearby or something? Or did you just happen to be in the neighborhood?"

He sips from his coke then squints at the TV once more.

Bullseye has posed:
Bullseye stares MJ down. She doesn't give him his credit. It displeases him. But he isn't here to act out. Not here. Not for free. Not tonight.

"You know my name. I've alrady told you. Several times over."
5rHe reaches down and tugs the pink umbrella from his drink. He drags it through his hand, stripping the umbrella to flare in the back, then draws the plastic stick upo to his mouth. He bites down and strips it to a sharp point with ah snap, spitting the shars into an empty blass three feet away, spinning around the rim before sinking in.

He turns sand he throws the umbrella until the sharp tip of it drives in to the soft board at the center, janglign into the same place as the last dart he threw.

He takes a couple of steps forward, takes sa light bow with his hand at his waist and looks up grinning.

Dead center.

"Bullseye."

Matthew Murdock has posed:
Something in the tone that Matt hears from Bullseye makes Matt have to suppress the frown that wants to form to keep from showing too much reaction. The improbability of the throw with the umbrella swizzel stick being the kind of thing that... well, Matt doesn't think he could do it. Even if he is one agile and accurate dude himself.

His hand leaves Daisy's as he gets up, picking up his mug and draining it quickly for an excuse to go over to the bar. Matt's cane is unfolded and he taps away over to it, getting a better chance to hone in on the unusual smells from Bullseye as he goes past. "Josie, another beer please," he tells her.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
That would have Mary Jane blink for a moment, "I suppose so." She would look up from her seat next to Daisy and her expression being 'I need a drink' even as Sonja cheers and Mary Jane definitely can't - it's not going to look good in front of a senior agent to be chugging something down - particularly when she has an ID wiht her real age. Oh well..

Her fish and chips have arrived along with her soda, and Mary Jane does the math in her head.. Yes, her expense account will even cover a tip! It's the good life. But the frown that Matt suppresses is mirroed by Mary Jane's internally.

Henrietta Morrison has posed:
"Yeah, work at one of the bodegas around here." she answers, watching Bullseye. "Oh god, so he's not just gloating it's his freaking name." Henrietta takes a sip of her pepsi, before thunking her head against the bar. "...Only in NYC."

Ashton Broder has posed:
"Yea, this guy is kind of weirding me out. I think I'm going pay my bill and maybe get out of here." Ashton whispers to Henrietta. He wraps his hand around his glass and keeps an eye on Bullseye warily, while his other hand fishes out some bills for the fries and coke.

He slowly starts to stand, his other hand resting on his stool. Its kind of an awkward position. It's clear he thinks he can do something if things get even more uncomfortable, just not clear what the teenager has in mind.

Bullseye has posed:
Bullseye points a finger, "You, blind man, are exempt. You have the only valid excuse. The reest have eyes, as well as ears. The rest saw what I did. And what do I get. Indifference. Hipsterism. False bravado," he says, snapping his teeth at MJ.

He moves rapidly and grasps his beer, taking a long deep swig and then smashing it down, shartering it into a razor-sharp implement. He flings it underhand, like a softbll, even giving it a little bit of arch, before it lands directly into the throat of 21 year old Zoe Garson, on her second day as a waitress. Just moved to the city from Arkansas. A redhead who just got her nose pierced earlier today.

The bottle goes into her throat and splashes her blood across her Josie's Bar t-shirt, making her kneees buckle and her drinks spill as her killer just smiles ever wider.

Dead. Center.

"Bullseye."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp was getting around to trying to place the man, but did not expect the outburst. There is part of him that wants to charge him, but no. Take care of the person first. He will head towards the woman, pulling out a cloth from a pocket, to see if there is anything he can do to try to help save her.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
It goes faster than even Mary Jaen can track - her attention is over on Daisy as she's about to make a quip to Matt. Then she's called out over by Bullseye, "Well, that's a very silly name. You should look into getting it--" her comment is cut off by the way he cleanly throws the bottle through the neck of the waitress. Eyes wide.

"Get DOWN!" She goes to slam the table over to the side to flip it over to use as cover and gets ready to brace for the enxt round he throws!

Henrietta Morrison has posed:
Henrietta's about to wave him off, when the dart thrower starts talking again. Before she can even respond, can even fire off more snark, there's glass shattering and someone dying on the floor.
She screams, bolting off of her chair. Her lungs feel like they're full of cotton, everything both too loud and silent all at once. "...She wasn't even involved." Henrietta squeaks, the fact the waitress is a redhead too not lost on her.

Ashton Broder has posed:
Ashton screams because he has never seen this kind of abrupt violence before. One moment he was briefly checking out that waitress, the next second her throat was a shower of gore. He tips off his bartool, hand already on the top.

The two feet in diameter wooden disc abruptly becomes a fifteen plus wide disc of foot thick wood. It's a new wall abruptly in the bar and it separates himself and Henrietta from the violent man calling himself Bullseye.

He grabs the wrist of the other screaming teenager and darts toward the door. "Let's get the fuck out of here!"

Matthew Murdock has posed:
The smashing of the glass is unexpected as Matt is just pulling out a few bills to pay for the new beer. Josie lets out a scream and Matt whirls around, hearing the cry of the waitress and then the sound of her artery spilling out her lifeblood on the floor.

He is just starting to turn towards the murderer, when there's suddenly something blocking his way. His heightened senses not quite knowing what to make of the rapidly growing top to the barstool. Only knowing it's an impediment that keeps him from the killer. Though Matt goes to extraordinary lengths to conceal his identity, letting someone kill in front of them would not be one.

Bullseye has posed:
"Did that get your attention? Well then spread the word. Let everyone know my name. Bullseye. You got money? You got something you need killed?"

He thrust kicks the tray of spare darts and hurls them rapid fire over and again into the center of the dartboard, then he steps past it and kicks out the back door.

"Find me. I take cash. Step up if you feel froggy."

Slams the door.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
The /hell/ kind of mutant power is that? Magic? Cybernetics? Mary Jane goes to snap her attention over to Zoe with the cut throat, sees the kind of casual power the man slams through the door, and he's already gone by the time she's ready to chase after him. no way she'll keep up in the alleyways.

Henrietta Morrison has posed:
She just barely registers being tugged, before pulling away. "Fuck that, I have to do something!" Henrietta shouts, pushing past the makeshift shield to run over to the (probably dead) waitress.

"I-is there anything we can do?" she asks the chimp, pulling off her hoodie and putting her hair up.

Ashton Broder has posed:
Ashton is in too much of a panic to go to the waitress's aid, and it seems like there are others already doing their best. When its clear that Bullseye has make a exit just as abrupt as the murder. He turns back into the bar and wills the stool to shrink.

His eyes settle on the downed woman once more. He shakes his head to try and clear the trauma then decides his best course of action is to get a ride back to the mansion, as soon as possible.

Councilor was going to earn their pay check with this one.

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp looks over to the woman, and shakes his head. He pulls off his jacket, and lays it over the woman's face. To the young girl he will say "Tell the police what happened when they get here." He pulls out his phone dialing 911, and from a holster under his arm that was hidden by the coat, a gun is pulled and he follows after MJ to try to back her up.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would quickly shake her head over at Chimp. They couldn't catchup with them even if they could track him. And they would be at too much risk of just -whatever- the hell his magic throwing abilities were. Speaking quietly to Chimp, "You recognize him at all?"

Henrietta Morrison has posed:
Henrietta just nods, her hands folded between her knees. It's not the first time she's seen a dead body but seeing someone who died peacefully is nothing compared to a violent murder. "She wasn't even heckling him or anything." she repeats numbly.

Matthew Murdock has posed:
Matt Murdock finally makes his way around the wooden stool top that has grown to wall-size, only to have Josie there, grabbing ahold of him. Shrieking in grief, grasping his arms and not letting him go.

"Josie, call 911," Matt tells her. "I'll... go outside, try to flag down... someone," he says, not really anything better he can come up with.

It takes him a few moments to get Josie to let him go though. By the time he makes it outside, there are no sounds left that stand out enough to follow them, the city noise giving him too much to sort through and not knowing if the fleeing killer is on foot or in a vehicle by now. His fist clenches around his cane and he turns to go back inside.
