Date of Scene: 09 May 2023
Location: Batburger
Synopsis: So three billionaires/kids, an actor and Caleb walk into a Batburger...
Cast of Characters: Phoebe Beacon, Michael Hannigan, Caleb Dykstra, Austin Reese, Tony Stark

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
There were times that she liked being anonymous, and this was one of them. Batburger had a decent vegetarian offering including, now Falafel Burgers and Chikkin Nugs are included in the BatMite meals, which is why when jeans-and-T-shirt-wearing Phoebe hits the counter, no one bats an eye. Her hair's back in a simple pink wrap with flowers in it, she has a gray T-shirt with a skull set among some roses (not dramatic at all) and ehr soft jeans are worn from being... well, worn, and have some thread-bare bits at the knees as she gives a bright smile.

"Hi, can I have four Bat-Mite meals, two Falafel Burger, two veggie-chicken nuggets, all with Sprite?"

Just like at McDonald's, BatMite Sprite just hits different.

"Oh, and a large strawberry milkshake -- thanks!" she gives a smile.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Some people like being anonymous. Others like to be noticable. Mike is... Well, Mike. Having to be in Gotham for something production related, the rock star gone actor is dressed a bit better than his off the clock Goodwill-sque attire. But he hasn't quite branched out to the suit yet. Instead his attire is comprised of slightly better matching brand options. Still jeans and a tee. But NICER jeans and a tee. And to those who are focused on such things, quite possibly a good quality brand.

Somewhat offsetting the look, his trademark locks has been swept back into a quick ponytail with a ballcap covering the top. As an added bonus. The daytime sun has allowed him the excuse for sunglasses at least.

But is that paired with a different manner of carrying himself enough for him not to be recognized as Nick Drago?

Let's find out.

The door to Batburger opens allowing for him to enter and glance around to the available tables.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
And now, in addition to this, is Caleb. He's coming in, quietly, sporting a hoodie over his head - a mannerism he picked up from his years of trying to remain incognito. He waits in line, and when his time comes, he makes his order: six Batmite Meals, Coke for drinks. Two are put on a tray, the remaining four in a bag to go.

Looks like someone likes to collect the figures that you find inside.

He looks about for a place to sit, now. And that's when he spots Phoebe. Quirking his lips upwards, he approaches and asks, "Hi. This seat taken?"

Austin Reese has posed:
There's a lot of people that probably find this place in poor taste. Austin is not one of them, Batburger has been a favorite of his for a long time. But it also holds a dark secret that he will never tell anyone. On one of the few times he tried to hold a legitimate job when he was younger, this place was one of them. As far as he knows there aren't any pictures of 16 year-old him dressed up as Robin. Might be a couple of him in a Green Lantern mask though.

He'd been standing a bit behind Phoebe while she placed her order, hmming faintly. He's not going to get ALL Bat-Mite Meals, but he does want to see what toys they've got right now. Once she's done ordering, he steps up. Wearing a Gotham Knights beanie, but otherwise just a olive green t-shirt with the Mandalorian mythosaur emblem on it and a pair of dark tan cargo pants.

After she's stepped out of the way, he steps on up and orders, "Can I get two Bat-Mite meals, one chicken nuggets and the other a cheeseburger." After giving the cashier a second, he continues, "Then let me also get the Batburger with Bacon, and Coke with all of them." He pays, and then wanders over towards Phoebe, "You think they got any new toys yet?" He asks as he sits down, glancing over at Caleb as well, "I think there's room."

Tony Stark has posed:
Anonymity is not exactly something that Tony Stark has wrestled with in some time. Even before he was known world wide as the Invincible Iron Man, his playboy ways earned him magazine covers. And before that, his time as an inventor and entrepenuer. Suffice to say, it has been a long time since Tony could go anywhere and not be well recognized. At least, as Tony Stark.

Today, Tony is experimenting with some disguise technology. It was taught to him by his friend, Steve, and he had to assume it was some sort of high level espionnage training that comes from SHIELD or the US Army. He is wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses.

And rather than one of his customary well tailored suits, contributing to the overall effectiveness he is wearing jeans and an AC/DC t-shirt. Combined with the ballcap and the sunglasses, maybe he will escape attention as he steps into Batburger, taking a quick glance around before moving over to slide into the line, his head oriented towards the menu.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe has her four Batmite meals, and takes a deep breath as she sits down, and looks up to Caleb making his way over.

"Oh hey, Jake, right?" she offers in reecognition, giving a little wave. "Yeah, c'mon and have a seat. This is my brother Austin."

The two do not look anything alike.

"Aus, this is Jake, he's an enterpreneur over at the University. Social butterfly." she gives a smile, and she sets out the bat mite meals in front of her in a four-square pattern. Falafel-chikkin-Flalafel-chikkin, and pops the straw in her strawberry shake. She looks up as the doors open the first time, and seeing Mike she raises a hand and gives a small wave in recognition. She'd know him or his alter-egos anywhere. And it's good to see him regardless.

The other guy walking in? Well, she purses her lips a moment, her eyes narrowing. He *looks* familiar, but she's been wrong before.

She taps Austin's shoulder and give a little up-nod towards Stark, in line for Batburger.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike makes his way over to the counter to make his order. Catching a glimpse of someone else wearing the same type of disguise technology, he simply smiles slightly and continues with his order.

The food service is quick and with Mike only having one meal, the small fries, and what looks to be water, the musician's order is likely quicker. Tray in hand, he walks over to find a seat and instead finds Phoebe waving. He could be upset. But being she's seen him in most of his personas already and she's likely got other ways of picking him out. He rolls with it. Steps adjust and he makes his way over to the table, glancing over to those gathered. "Hey, room for one more?"

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb shakes his head. "No - not Jake." He takes a seat. "I'm stopping from doing that. Or want to anyways, if that makes any sense." There's a slight hint of worry there, which makes him look suspiciously out of the corner of his eye for a brief moment.

He looks at Austin, smiling some - but the hint of worry is just about evident, "Austin, pleased to meet you. I'm Caleb." He turns back to Phoebe, and he repeats, "Caleb - that's my name", he reassures.

He looks in the direction Phoebe looks then, and... Head tilt. "You know... From a certain angle..." Could it be...? Naaaaaaawwwwwww!

But his suspicions are broken when Mike decides to join. "Oh... Hey, man! How's it going?"

Tony Stark has posed:
For his part, Tony appears to be unaware that people might be looking at him. Or trying to appear unaware. Looking might confirm, and confirmation is not on the agenda for today. He quietly makes his way up towards the counter, eyeing the menu, and then nods to the cashier.

"I'll take a Batburger, onion rings, and a vanilla shake." He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a few crumpled bills and hands them over, depositing the coin into the tip jar in front of the cashier. When asked his name for the order, Tony smiles. "Harold." And with that, he slides down to wait for his food.

He does pause to take a moment to glance around the restaurant, although his gaze appears to mostly be focused on the memorabilia and the merchandise that is around, moreso than the people specifically. As if he was another tourist taking in the sight of this place dedicated to its greater landmark.

Austin Reese has posed:
Austin takes a moment or two to look over 'Jake'. He does recognize the guy, from a rooftop this one time. But that's not something that he'd need to bring up right now. So he gives him a nod, "Yeah go ahead and sit." He says, as he takes his burger and takes a bite out of it.

Phoebe's nod gets him to give a glance, which in turn gets a head tilt out of him. Tony Stark could be incognito to a lot of people, but one of Batman's trained people, maybe not so much.

"Guess it's a party." He says when Mike joins as well, "Good to meet you, Caleb." A name he will definitely remember now. He takes a sip from his soda and hmms faintly, "Lets see what we got.." He muses, as he goes to dig into one of the Bat-Mite meals and look for the toy.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Always a party when this guy shows up." Phoebe replies, and she offers a fist-dap to Mike. She's trying, honest.

"Man, you do seem to know everyone," she comments to Mike, looking at Caleb's reaction to him, and she breathes out in a soft huff, and she tilts her head back, showing one of the scars that cross her throat before she plucks up her falafel burger from the Bat Mite meal.

"I'm having trouble tracking down one of the Robin figurines. Gotta complete my collection, you know? And have bragging rights over Tim." she gives a small grin, picking up a french fry and she points it at Caleb.

"Caleb! All right, harder to remember than Jake from State Farm, but I'll get it. Just forgive me if I trip over it once or twice." she offers, and rolls her shoulder, and goes to open the first of her toys.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike looks to Caleb as he is greeted. "Doing alright. Just in town for project reasons." He shifts over to take one of the open seats, setting his tray down before glancing back to the now known Caleb. "How're you holding up?"

Soon the celeb's butt makes it to the chosen seat, freeing him up to take note of the offered fist. Balling up his hand he taps his fist to Phoebe to return the gesture. The hand lowers down to the wrapper. "Oh, that's because I tend to get involved with a lot of projects in a short amount of time. Caleb here is working with one them."

The wrapper crinkles as he brings his food up to his mouth, taking a bite of the burger while he watches the others go through their toys. He did not get one of the meals with a toy. He's an oddball and here for the food primarily.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
The teen sits down on at the table, and he unpacks his Batmite Meals, glancing at the figurines. And one of those that he opens, there's Robin! What a luck, eh?

He grins, "Hey. Complete set! Sheila'll be happy."

It also looks like somebody else was after 'Tim'.

And that's the next question he asks Phoebe, "Who's Tim?" The 'bragging rights' kinda makes him wonder, "A boyfriend?"

Tony Stark has posed:
Food comes up in fairly short order, and as 'Harold' is called Tony looks up and makes his way over to collect his tray. He tanks the server who hands it over and then turns towards the eating area, pausing along the way to retrieve some napkins and a straw. Really putting in the effort in making everything look casual. Or maybe Tony Stark just really /is/ that casual?

Once the food has been collected, he makes his way over towards a table, passing by the group and giving them a brief glance over as he goes. As he comes nearer, the resemblance is unmistakeable. Perhaps he makes his living as a Tony Stark impersonator?

Austin Reese has posed:
"Dangit." Austin mutters faintly as he digs up a pair of Red Hoods, "I already have all of them, I was kind of hoping the rumors online about them expanding the collection were true." He tucks them into his bag so he can do something with them later.

There's a faint snort as Caleb says boyfriend and 'Tim' in the same sentence from Austin, "Tim's our brother." He replies, "Though I have no idea what he's up to right now. Probably work." Another quick glance over at Guy Incognito with his order. Could just be some weird doppelganger thing.. Or one of those guys in Times Square in the foam costumes.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe was sipping on her strawberry shake, reaching for one of the definitely-not-chicken-nugs, and when someone says 'tim' and 'boyfriend' in the same sentence, Phoebe chokes. She sets the little Nightwing figurine down as she grabs napkins from Austin's side of the food and puts them to her nose as she suffers the worst combonation ice cream headache, food coming out your nose, horrible embarrassment moment ever, and she seems to try and get things under control.

"Project! Wayne Tech! Info-Sec Related I think!" she chokes out before getting everything under control, sneezing out strawberry milkshake to the side. "Ohmigod."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
When Caleb suggests that Tim might be Phoebe's girlfriend, the musician's chewing slows, making sure not to be capable of speaking for the discussion he imagines about to play out. Calmly, he reaches over to pop the straw into his cup of water. There's a drawn out squeak as the straw goes through unchallenged as there appears to be no ice in the drink.

Tony's orbit near the table is a welcome distraction and as Tony looks to them, he gives him a brief nod of greeting, without speaking names.

It's not polite to talk with your mouth full and all.

There's the slightest of chuckles as Phoebe has her Strawberry sneeze.

Tony Stark has posed:
While he is doing a capable job of looking casual, Tony is saddled with professional curiousity, and hearing conversations about Wayne Tech causes an almost reflexive turn of his head towards the group. Not that he is eavesdropping /per se/, but certainly it gets another look over at the somewhat motley crew. And of course, there is Mike, who Tony offered a slight nod of recognition to in passing. Certainly, it lends a certain significance, potentially, to the group beyond that of just a bunch of fast food junkies.

But that being said, the last thing that Tony wants to do to them is the same thing that people do to him. So he goes back to testing to see if the milkshake has melted enough to be able to be summoned up through the straw.

Austin Reese has posed:
Phoebe's reaction is not quite what Austin was expecting, though he lets her get it out of her system. 'If you're coughing, you're breathing.' Those were the words his dad gave him when teaching him about the heimlich.

"Touchy subject." Austin adds a bit more context which probably only serves to make the whole situation even more awkward.

The mention of the Wayne Tech project makes Austin let out an 'ahh', "Right right, I remember. That encryption thing I didn't get all the details..Mostly 'cause I didnt understand most of the words."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe is mostly recovered, and she gives a thumbs up to Austin.

"In closing: Tim Drake? My brother, by law, adoption, public record, /not/ my boyfriend." she wheezes out, and gives a deeep breath. "... I'm hokay." she confirms, and wipe sat her eyes a bit.

"Sorry, Caleb, that was a bad reaction, I just... I didn't expect that one?" she questions, giving another cough and then she settles to open the second toy, though she is eyeballing that Robin, trying to see if it's smiling.

"So, Sheila, if you're collecting Batmite toys, is that a little sibling?" she asks, and then she cracks a small smile, her ears getting just a touch darker "Sometimes a group of us will hit up random Bat Burgers to try and get the Robin, but it doesn't count unless we pull it." she explains, as she tears open the second package.

    "That's the Rules."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As Phoebe recovers, Mike finishes chewing his bite of food and takes a long sip of his water. Sometimes you pick up a lot more if you don't talk and just listen, or in this case, listen for the right opportunity to bring up a topic. Fortunately Caleb's done a fine task doing it.

He opts not to ask any follow up questions to the toy collecting challenge just yet.

So he does what anyone does when they have food and don't wish to steer away from the potential conversation at hand.

He takes another bite of burger.

Austin Reese has posed:
"What I really want is some of the new folks that have been around." Austin says, dipping one of his nuggets into some signature sauce, "I mean the last one they added was Red Hood. There's like a dozen more to collect now."

He goes ahead and chows down on the nugget afterwards, though, "Probably some kind of licensing thing."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb raises his eyebrows in surprise when Phoebe chokes. "O-kay..." His eyes glaze over every single other person, to observe their reactions. Touchy subject, indeed.

But it's all explained when Phoebe clears it. He nods slowly then, "Sorry. I honestly haven't kept much track of 'who's who to whom' or 'who's hot and who's not' - freely speaking, no offense meant."

He looks at Austin, "Now imagine some of the guys the vigilantes fight going into legal battle over wanting to be in on the franchise, and they're not duly represented or included."

And somewhere in Arkham, ears have caught fire. (And a maniacal laugh follows...)

Well, maybe.

He turns back to Phoebe, "Yes, Sheila." He shows a picture, proof he isn't lying. "I'm working to move my family away from here."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Second toy: Red Robin. Phoebe's lips purse as she tries not to give a laugh, looking over to Austin as she raises her eyebrows, and then sits it next to Nightwing in front of her. "I don't think I'll ever understand how licencing works for heroes." Phoebe considers a moment, her fingers curling around her falafel burger as she takes a bite of it. I mean, the Avengers, the League, sure they've got tons of lawyers and everything, right?" Phoebe questions, "BatBurger itself is doesn't have to licensce the bad guys, I think, but they do have to pay the Justice League to use Batman. And probably the Titans for Nightwing. But what about the people who do just the little stuff, y'know? Megacorperation changes like, two details on their suit and suddenly they're OK to copyright that version?" she questions out loud, maybe a little more thoughtful than strictly required, and she gives a snort, and points one fry at Austin, one fry at Caleb: "That's why I'm aiming for Med School. WAY easier than law." she comments, and eats both fries.

"No offence taken, Caleb. I mean, there's memorial plates with my face on them somewhere in Gotham from when I was found." she smiles, and looks at the picture of the younger sister.

"She's cute!" she compliments Caleb, "I can definitely see why you'd wanna get her out of the city; I wouldn't want my lit-" she cuts herself off a moment, and gives a short breath out.

"Luckily, my adopted siblings all know how to take care of themselves." she corrects, and her shoulders sag a little bit, and she hurriedly opens her third toy.

"Wouldn't mind an Osprey and Oriole and Batwing though. Blonde variant Batgirl. I have so many houseplants that need hero-ing." she jokes.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike pauses as Caleb mentions representation "...They already had a version of that in the form of a TV series." Oh hey! More burger to bite into. He lifts it up, "Although better licensing than actual crimes..."

The burger lowers a bit as he takes note of the moving away part of the discussion. "...Finding a new place takes time though. Picking out an area where the schools have good security and are close together. Also living accommodations... But- I think it's doable."

Mike takes another bite.

Austin Reese has posed:
"I know there's a lawfirm out there that only does 'metahuman and superhero law' it's all really kind of murky still, you know?" He resumes eating a bit, letting Phoebe and Caleb talk for a bit, though Phoebe does get a grin in response to the Red Robin figure.

Phoebe's last comment gets a bit of a laugh from him from him. He takes a drink from his soda then nods a few times, "I agree with that. Wonder if we start an email campaign if we could get them to add the new ones."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb shoots a look at Mike when he talks about villains being represented, "Wait... That 'Theme of the Crime' shtick?" He shakes his head, "Nope. Nope, get the brain bleach!" He adds, "Had to cater to an asshole kid whose favorite show was 'Theme of the Crime'. God, that show sucked ass on a galactic scale!" He shudders, "Flashbacks... AUGH!!"

He nods to Phoebe, "Glad to hear they can." He adds, "But my sister is not a slouch - I trained her out of necessity." He points out, "Recently I was with her in Metropolis, and all hell breaks loose - invasion from above, same as a decade ago. Some alien guy grabs her, she pulls out a knife..." He pauses, pride in his voice. When it subsides, "...And I'm not ashamed to say I finished the job." Taking a bite out of his hamburger, he says, "This is a dangerous world, and Gotham on the top - and I'm sure I won't be around forever. I just want to end this nightmare for her, you know?"

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"... Bluebird, Flamebird, why is birds the theme?" Phoebe finishes up muttering as she looks to the newly opened Red Hood.

"Except You." she states, looking to the blank eyes of a child's meal toy.
"Noble intention. But I've found once you're involved with all the madness with heroes and villains, it's hard to get out of it. Hear Kansas's nice, though, for trying to get away from the city." she states, and gives a wry smile, looking over to Caleb.

"You shouldn't be ashamed for doing what you have to do to protect someone you care about." she replies, and she puts Red Hood up to one side of Nightwing, Red Robin on the other. Now all she needs is a Robin to recreate that one scene from Jurassic World...

"You enroll her in any classes, outta curiosity? Or just sort of a..." she picks up one of her fries, a short one, and she flicks it at Austin for effect.

"'Anything Goes'?" she cracks a small smile. "I'm coming up on fourteen years of Aikido practice," she explains, "and it's gotten me outta some tight situations."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As Caleb complains about the show, the musician slowly picks up his cup to sip the water. The line of his lips twists into an amused smile. He lets Caleb finish his rant before he calmly sets the cup down. "Knock it all you want but that show indirectly helped get jobs to Gotham, Metropolis, and New York. And you that trip to France."

He grabs a french fry to bite into it.

Austin Reese has posed:
Austin leans over and grabs the fry out of the air with his mouth before returning back to his meal, "I do like the fact that Caleb didn't assume you and I were together." He says to Phoebe, after swallowing the fry, grabbing some more of his nuggets and digging in, "At least he read that one right."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Sure thing man, but that doesn't exempt it from criticism", Caleb tells Mike. "If anything, it should take some serious notes on what the criminals do around here. A show like that is kid-friendly compared to some of the horrors that happen in the dark corners of this city." It sounds like he means it.

To Phoebe, "I think Kansas would sound great, in fact. But Oz would really be ideal." He explains, "Sheila's been to school, and she's actually one of the best in her class. She's had all the help and encouragement me and my dad can provide." He lowers his voice down, afraid someone might hear. "I'm trying to enroll her in Happy Harbor, now."

The topic of Aikido interests him, "Fourteen years?" He considers, "Well, I wouldn't mind a few lessons... If you were willing to teach, that is." He looks between Phoebe and Austin, "Oh, you're not together...?" It may be an attempt at a joke.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe points at Austin "I introduced him to you as my brother." she cracks a smile to Caleb. "Happy Harbor'd be a good choice. It's a safe school. I used to know the headmistress while I was living in New York City. My little brother - also adopted - went there." Phoebe replies to Caleb, and she goes to open the final toy packet to expose -- Batgirl. She purses her lips and sets Babs up next to Red Robin.

"My boyfriend is a mechanic and works in New York. Generally we're not hanging out in Gotham when we hang out -- I don't think he'd like the 'publicity' of dating a Wayne." she explains quietly, using her fingers to denote quotes around Publicity, and then she points to her toys.

"Think Shiela would want extras? Maybe hand them around at school?" she questions, and then she gives a wry smile as she grabs one of her four child-sized Sprites.

"I don't teach Martial Arts unless I'm with my Sensei, mostly because the last three years it's been private lessons, not allowed to compete due to... ah... circumstances."

She did not want to say 'because I got kicked out of school for fighting'.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike rolls his eyes before he grabs another fry. He's really not getting into a debate with someone who apparently only saw the latter episodes of the show when he was babysitting someone he despised.

Anyways, other topic, "That it is. And I do hope it works out for the younger sister. Although..." He frowns, "Did any of your adopted siblings attend a middle school outside of Gotham at some point?"

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"I know you did", Caleb says. "Every now-and-then, I try a little bit of tropey humor. It's a work in progress." Topic change, "And your boyfriend is a mechanic, no kidding?" He smirks, "Yeah, I know a thing or two about publicity and fame myself - enough to know about it's a headache." He quickly looks at Mike, "No offense meant, dude", then resumes, "Popularity brings out the true character of people, and it can be disappointing. Plus, in reverse, the famous may find themselves out of options when it comes to finding someone nice."

He looks at the figurines, "Well, we got so many already, they would end up for material recycling so I could do some artful stuff with them..."

He turns to Mike, "I'm kinda worried her tests won't give her a place at Happy's. I mean, she's eleven, to be twelve late this May - she's not in high school yet, you know? But still, I got the letter..."

Austin Reese has posed:
"I'm sure you'll figure out the right thing to do in the long run. Just gotta weigh all your options." Austin says to Caleb, "Since you've got options to weigh at least! Just don't wait so long somebody else makes your choice for you. Know what I mean?"

He seems to have finally finished off his nuggets and fries at least, "I personally was born in Gotham and have spent most of my time here, but I'm at GU currently. Not really much for recommending lower grade schools though, since I didn't go to most of them."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"I think we've all had education outside of Gotham City. I finished High School in New York under private tutilage, I know Tim's been to a couple different places with specialized coursework..." she states and then leans her head back. She didn't want to give a lot away. "... have you considered applying for one of the Wayne Grants for boarding school outside the city? I'm pretty sure I could dig up the information. After my dad Chuck died and I started to get into trouble, Caroline thought it'd be a good idea to look into different schools. But I understand if you don't want to do that, because the chances of someone interfereing and pushing the application through is high." she admits, rubbing the back of her head.

"I used to have a little sister." she smiles, and there was a lot of sadness behind it. "She's in the UK. I'd do anything to protect her, because... that's what you do for the people you love, isn't it? And I see it time and time again. I know a lot of siblings who are caring for their littles, y'know?" she states, and she lines her four toys up in age-order. Babs. Dick. Jason. Tim.

"I didn't grow up with any siblings, so I don't know what it's really like. But I try."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike bites into the fry, chewing quietly as he listens to Caleb. He gives a slight nod to the quasi backtrack "Yeah, Wade's gotten a list of some backup options if there's a problem with Happy Harbor. We'll get it figured out." He pauses, "...There's also a home schooling option if she doesn't test well enough to immediately get in and you need her to stay close. Not exactly traditional but you can't exactly argue with the student teacher ratio. Actually ended up getting the degree earlier that route."

Mike looks over to Phoebe as she brings up the grants, and the hints of possible assistance. Mike looks over to Caleb, "That... could be something worth looking into. One less worry."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
The idea about grants makes Caleb sink deep into thought, "Y'know... That might not be a bad idea. But I need to see how her tests go, first; I don't want to find out the grant somehow not applying because of age difference or school quality." He sighs, "And are there any grants for people who dropped their studies mid high-school to work for a mob family?" A new concern for Caleb, the surrogate parent.

To everyone gathered, "I can't imagine us separated, me and my sister, if my dad wasn't around. I think that's be the moment I'd do something crazy, someone trying to separate us." The way he says it hints at the monumental determination in him, "There'd be no crime syndicate, no cataclysm, no alien invasion, no... end-of-the-world scenario that would stand in my way of getting her back."

To Mike and Austin, "We'll see how it goes, right?" More to Mike, now. "But you know where I stand: her first, me last. In the scheme of things, I'm dead already."

He ponders, "I need to prepare." Game voice on, "The Gotham in me tells me something's not right." More casual a tone, "Plus... I need to get these home", he says, pointing at the bags with the other four Batmite Meals.
