Young Avengers...Assemble
Date of Scene: 31 May 2023
Location: Starpower Publishing
Synopsis: The Young Avengers have, indeed, assembled. Hopefully we shall see great things from these young heroes!
Cast of Characters: Billy Kaplan, Tommy Shepherd, Emiko Queen, Bunny Macleod, Kate Bishop, Molly Hayes, Andi Benton

Billy Kaplan has posed:
Inside of the renovated Starpower Publishing the nascent group known as the Young Avengers has made its home. The burgeoning team is still working to find its footing and its direction, but each member adds their strength and will to the greater whole.

Billy Kaplan, known as Wiccan, called this meeting of members, allies, and prospective members to do some good old fashioned bonding. Billy is dressed in the mystical garb of Wiccan: a full-body, black-and-gray, long-sleeved uniform with red accent striping, and a red hooded cloak that seems to move of its own accord even if there is no wind. For the moment, the hood is up concealing his face.

There are several tables set up with a wealth of food and non-alcoholic beverages. There is soda, water, energy drinks, and juices in large, ice-filled, stainless steel bins. With a mixture of vegan and non-vegan breads and other sandwich fixings, people with a wide variety of dietary needs and preferences can graze for hours. There are likewise vegan and non-vegan desserts ranging from fruits to pastries and cakes, and even a tray of cinnamon raisin muffins that Billy's mom made for . . . oops, there is so much food on all of these tables that when Billy set his mom's cupcakes on the end of one of the tables it fell face down (naturally) on the floor.

Biting his lower lip for a brief moment first, Billy surreptitiously holds his hand out in the direction of the floored treats and murmurs, "TheMuffinsNeverFell, TheMuffinsNeverFell, TheMuffinsNeverFell." There is a small, localized swell of magical energy and the muffins are suddenly on the table, clean and intact. It's like the young magic-user said, the muffins never fell!

Against one wall there are three large screen 4k televisions. One has an Xbox Series X connected to it, the next a Playstation 5, and the last one a Nintendo Switch. There are a variety of games and plenty of controllers.

Tommy Shepherd has posed:
It's not quite true that Tommy is here under duress. It didn't take any threats to get him to show up, after all, just the promise of free food. And if anyone knows him, they know he's one thing above all else:

    Food motivated.

Okay that's not quite true, but he's young and broke and always hungry thanks to his supersped-up metabolism, so it's a surefire way of getting Tommy to show up. And he hasn't come alone, either: when he zooms down the street and comes to a rapid stop in front of Starpower Publishing, he's carrying a young lady with him. Still carefully supporting her head (because whiplash is no fun), Tommy sets Bunny down on her feet (or skates, as the case very likely may be) and looks her over. "All good?" he asks.

Then he's scanning the facade of the building, eyes shaded. His shoulders rise up a little bit into a semi-defensive posture, and he looks at Bunny once, nodding, before he escorts her inside, calling out "Yo, B! We made it!"

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko Queen, aka Red Arrow, strolls in with hands clasped together behind her head as she looks around. "I see they finally finished fixing the place up." Her demeanor was casual but that didn't stop her trained intuitiveness from analyzing the immeadiate surroundings. It was ground into her to the point of almost being instinctive. New place? Check every detail. EVERY detail. Possible.

This was suppose to be a casual get-together, but she's been with the Titans long enough to know almost anything to come up, so she did come dressed appropriately. Though it's just the main body suit of her vigilante costume, she won't slap on the extra pads unless they become necessary, and she's got the hood down. Of course the quiver and bow are slung to her back, for much the same reason. 'Just in case' tends to happen a lot.

An unprepared assassin is a dead assassin.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
And coming in hot with also the promise of free food is a pink-haired teenager coming in on the modified princess carry, wearing a denim jacket with a star and a rainbow on it and yes, a pair of neon pink skates is Bunny.

"I'm good Tommy, don't worry!" Bunny replies, teading on her skates a moment to get her legs back, and then she gives a hop, bright blue eyes looking over all the food as they make it in.

"Oh /wow/. This is quite the spread -- man I hope everyone comes hungry!" she states, the short skater twiddling her fingers a moment before reaching for one of those never-have-fallen muffins.

"Hi! I'm Bunny!" she introduces herself, heedless of the assassin waiting.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate got the message through the comms that they managed to setup. She hasn't been around Starpower Publishing as much as she should have been. But perhaps it is explainable considering being stretched between this and the Titans, and school, and family.

Still she did make sure the renovations and equiping of the facility got finished and a few people like Jon were pulled into the know about the efforts.

She steps inside, motorcycle helmet under one arm, in her full Hawkeye gear all the way down to the sunglasses. "Huh, that is a lot of food... do we have a speedster... ah..." she grins a bit spotting Tommy. She moves to set the helmet down on a shelf and then walk over towards Billy raising a hand "Hey, good job on the spread... everything is looking really solid." complimentary.

She shoots to Emiko "Nothing money can't solve when it comes to finalizing a setup." it is a smidge teasing to the other archer.

The one known as Bunny gets a thoughtful look, especially the rollerskates. Okay well she has seen stranger, she is on a team with the Cheshire Cat.

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly Hayes lives with Vivian Vision, who wasn't able to make it tonight. But when Molly heard about it, she decided she'd go on her own, too, and see if maybe there was a chance they could find a place for her. She hadn't really had a group in a while, not since her old team had grown apart a bit. Comes naturally as you get older, but still weird. Time for her to try out a new challenge. She was out of school now and this is what she wanted to do. So why not?

She arrives wearing a blue jumpsuit with a jetback strapped to her back - hey, she's auditioning, they might wanna see it in action. She has a bright grin and a hat bearing the unique face of the North AFrican Caracal Cat - basically it had big cat ears with big ear tufts. Cute as a button.

"I don't know if I know anybody here. I'm Molly!! I, uh, am a superhero, I guess. I used to go by Princess Powerful, but I'm not sure if that's too much of a kid name anymore, so I'm workshopping Bruiser, if that's okay? After I get all your socials, I'll put up a poll on my Insta, okay?"

Andi Benton has posed:
Someone's already there, perched up in the rafters of the place, a more shadowy part. Watching, waiting for the right moment to..do something, at least. Not until everyone is gathered below, or as many as possible.

<<Mania>> How much longer do we have to wait, Andi? Someone else might get to it first.
<<Andi>> Don't worry. There's enough for everybody.
<<Mania>> Are you sure?
<<Andi>> Hopefully. This is a good test of patience.
<<Mania>> This is not very fun.

Is someone pouting? The eyes tell much of the story, and there is frustration in the solid white ones.

Finally, it happens. A line of some type of webbing, extending down from above to stick to some of the chocolate treats, drawing them upward again for rapid consumption.

Oh, hey. There's Mania in all her glory, or creepiness, or whatever it is.

Billy Kaplan has posed:
When Billy hears his brother bellow, he tugs his hood down, revealing his face. He grins wide. "I knew if I put out enough food, your ass would show up," Kaplan says with a light laugh. He approaches his brother and his companion. "Hi, Bunny, great to finally meet you," he says, holding out a hand. "I was positive that my brother was making you up."

And then people start flooding in and it doesn't take a terribly perceptive person to see the combination of relief and pride on Billy's face. He likely had imagined a scenario where he was sitting in this room alone snacking on 50,000 calories worth of food spread.

"Hey everyone! Come on in, relax, eat more food than you have ever eaten in your life!" Billy says. He waves and beams at the people he knows, he greets those he doesn't in person.

"I totally *love* Bruiser," he says to Molly, offering her a hand. "Consider it workshopped successfully from me. Welcome, I'm so glad you came."

Emiko Queen has posed:
"Yes it does," Emiko quips back to Kate, "but it's only worth the money spent when we make worthwhile use of it." This is a step in the right direction, a common place to meet to help offset how scattered the group has been for the most part.

Some people she recognizes. Others are not familiar, but there seems to be introductions going around the room slowly. "Emiko. Go by Red Arrow." A pause. "Yes, related to the Green one."

She's about to reach for a snack, but reflexively jerks back when something zwps down to grab cupcakes away. She looks up to squint at the rafters. The white eyes stand out against the dark presence. "Someone has made themselves comfortable in the nosebleed section." Shrugs and picks something else. At least the awkward part of starting conversations with new people is mostly passed.

Tommy Shepherd has posed:
Notably, Tommy is not in any kind of superhero gear. If he even has superhero gear, hard to say. He's just wearing a tank top and jeans, with the ever-present hat turned around backwards on his head. Which means you gotta circle around him to see that he is repping the Omaha Storm Chasers today. Why does he care about a Minor League team from Nebraska? Now that's a good question.

He too snatches up one of the muffins, flashing an uncertain but easy smile towards Kate in response to her grin, then turns to Molly. "Bruiser's a really cool name," he says, not long after Billy espouses similar opinions, and he grins at his brother before taking a step forward. A hand isn't offered -- not really a handshake kind of guy, it seems -- but he does offer up his name with, "I'm Tommy. And this is Bunny, my girlfriend. She's here as a new recruit too."

His eyes are scanning, and when Emiko mentions someone in the nosebleeds, Tommy does the thing you should never do in horror media: he looks up. Thankfully, though, if he's spooked it only shows in the widening of his eyes and not something tragic like dropping his muffin.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Oh no I'm too weird to have been made up by your brother." Bunny gives a bright smile, hopping again on her skates, excited as she shakes Billy's hand. "I've heard quite a bit about you as well. Talk about weirdness, right?"

She draws her attention around the room, giving another smile to Molly as she gives a wave. "Bunny. I don't have a super-name yet, but I've done some work on the streets, with the Avengers." she tries to seem cool about it, but really 'mustard to Captain Cold's goggles' and 'infinite Ikea with Ant Man' seems less cool - and she tilts her head up. She gives a gasp, she points up.

"TOMMY ThatOneWasThereWhenIGotKidnapped!" she squeaks out "They're so cool!" she squeaks, and bounces again on her skates.

It's clear that the reason she wears skates? Bunny is short. They at least give her some height.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate looks the spread over and then snags an energy drink and steps over to snag a brownie. She glances upwards towards Mania when a chocolate treat is snagged and carried off by the webbing. One archery gloved hand lifts and wiggles fingers towards the Symbiote Webslinger. "Hey up there, can probably come down and meet the people Wiccan wrangled into coming." amusement, but not pressing it hard. She doesn't seem surprised or worried about the presence in the rafters.

"Bruiser." eyeing Molly. "Well, dependso n the vibe you are working on. Cape Watch and the press may take it a touch villainy at first glance but looking at you it definitely doesn't scream Villain." she doesn't elebator what Molly does scream, which is much more adorable.

Back to Billy "Thanks for pulling together the spread.. I've been slammed." she sounds, guilty really saying it. "Welcome to ... Starpower Publishing, we've been working on a angle we've workshopped as the Young Avengers. I'm Hawkeye, well the second Hawkeye... or any number of nicknames. Old man Hawkeye knows I use the name and is cool with it." also one of the Titans. "Looks like we have a few new faces... not sure if Superboy got the memo but I yanked him into this thing a couple weeks ago too, he is very excited."

Andi Benton has posed:
If any sign of sharp teeth is caught, it's very brief. Mania doesn't mess around when it comes to food, and the reward was worth the wait.

Attention shifts in Bunny's direction upon the very..enthusiastic sighting being made, then a black, clawed hand lifts back up in response to Kate.

After a few moments worth of consideration, the being drops down from up there to land nimbly a few feet away. Full Mania appearance: check. That means the featureless 'mask,' the strange-looking texture of the costume that is in name only, the spiky look, and of course that large white spider insignia, front and back. Arms cross, head tilted in an aloof way.

"We have not seen you in a while," she notes to Hawkeye before her head tilts toward Billy and Tommy. "Them, much more recently." Then, Bunny, Molly, and Emiko are each given a closer look.

Billy Kaplan has posed:
The young-magic user seems quite enamored and perplexed and pleased by Bunny. "You...you are *perfect*. I couldn't have conjured up a better friend for Tommy than you." His eyes glitter playfully as he glances briefly at his brother, both eyebrows raising for a moment.

He looks up to see Mania on the ceiling. "Okay that was...that was something I did *not* prepare for," he murmurs to himself. "Are you up okay up on the ceiling? Should I have put, I dunno, like a chair up there?" He draws in a deep breath and heads over to Hawkeye, though he seems to relax a little bit when Mania actually switches to the floor. Party planning *sounded* easy.

He gives Kate a nod. "Hey, Hawk," he says. "Thanks. I'm glad you were able to show. I figured if we got together, ate some food, played some games, bonded a bit, things will only be easier down the line, ya know? Pretty soon people are going to start expecting some heroing from us, I would imagine." He grabs a water, cracks it open, and guzzles down the entire bottle in one pull.

"We gotta talk sometime. There have been some visions and dreams hitting me up pretty hard. I don't think it's going to directly affect the team, but you should definitely know all the details so you can make the call."

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly Hayes will shake any hands that come her way, very carefully, but totally respects non-shakers, too. Not everybody's big on the physical contact - she's a natural hugger and she'd had to learn to respect other people's boundaries and stuff.

"Uh, vibe? Well, I mean, I have super strength and invulnerability. Smasher's taken, I think, and Pummeler's too long. Strong Girl sounds like a brand of energy drink. Power Girl is already taken and she's sooooooooo amazing even though I never met her, her and She-Hulk are like my two idolss..." she says.

She's never going to keep a lot of these names straight at first, but she'll study, probably, especially once she gets everyone's contacts. Sorry, she's the kind who will send you memes all day. Be prepared.

Emiko Queen has posed:
"Bruiser is a fine codename. Simple. States what you do." Emiko adds to the conversation about names while watching Mania drop down to the floor with anyone else. She's seen aliens before, though typically less... goopy. You get use to the weirdness in this life.

"It's good to 'hang out' and build a sense of comraderie." She bites into her pastry. It took her a little time to get use to the whole 'casual time together' after the way she was raised, but she manages.

Tommy Shepherd has posed:
"Everything about my life is weird," Tommy confirms, just before he takes a big chomp of a bite out of his muffin. He's only busy chewing for the blink of an eye, because then he's immediately ready to take another bite... which he does. This time, though, he's distracted enough by Bunny's squeak-out that he actually takes his time savoring. Too busy looking up in the rafters again.

Pause. Swallow. "Uh, should we go say thank you?" he asks, though given Mania drops down and acknowledges his (and Billy's) presence, Tommy is caught off-guard and squints, confused and skeptical. Also the muffin is totally gone.

In the span of oh, say... two or three seconds, a vaguely Tommy-shaped blur vibrates around the food table, and then he's standing there with a stacked sandwich in his hands, chewing again. If he paces himself, he might be able to be busy with this sandwich for a whole minute or two.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Power Girl is Absolutely Horrifying Have You Ever Seen Her Screaming And Punching THE SKY I have from the safety of like fifty Blahaj!" Bunny states in a squeak to Molly, and then to Billy she goes "That's how Tommy and I kinda met. It was a mess. HUge issue. Endless Ikea." Bunny states, having moved onto a cookie tray and she was nibbling at a chocolate chip cookie, and she leeaaans towards Tommy and whispers: "/That Is Hawkeye and Red Arrow do you think they'll have a trickshot competition??! Oh Mi God/ and we're in Young Avenger HQ and your brother thinks I'm perfect." she states, turning bright red and looking like she might explode a quick minute before she takes a deep breath and whispers "Be cool Bernice this is like the one chance we get to hang out with people and be cool." she murmurs, grabbing a soda pop and just... makes a squeak of a sound.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Hawkeye nods to Billy. "We definitely need to talk more, honestly the team comms allow DMs and group chats... we should use it more too. That said we should definitely do more of this because you are absolutely right. People will expect hero work out of us, especially if people start referencing Young Avengers doing work in New York or around here... and villains will start causing trouble too." deep breath

"Which..." she glances at Molly and Bunny and then around. "I assume everyone here knows someone here. Like .... Bunny knows Tommy. Tommy knows Billy. I know Mania and Red Arrow...." she pauses a momentand looks at Molly. "Who do you know Bruiser?" going with that for the moment.

This is always easier when Donna does it, she makes it all look so damn easy. Amazonians.

"Also... what do people know about the whole Young Avengers business... we didn't really nail it down too well when we started building this place out.. so it would be good to see what people know... why they came tonight... what they can do.. like Super Strength and Invulnerability...." though in Bunny's case she is getting the idea quickly.

Billy Kaplan has posed:
"Agreed," Billy replies to Hawkeye, the team leader.

He touches his gloved fingertip to the side of his neck and murmurs, "MyVoiceWillCarry, MyVoiceWillCarry, MyVoiceWillCarry." He clears his throat and starts talking. And, yes, his voice does carry through the room. It's not booming or resounding. It's like someone turned the TV volume up a few notches is all. "Hey everyone! I'm so glad you all made it tonight. Before I turn this over to Hawkeye, I wanted to say that tonight is hopefully the first of many steps to carry the Young Avengers into the future. People will judge us by what we do out there. Are they going to think we're a ragtag bunch of misfits? Or will be mentioned alongside the Justice League or the X-Men? If that's gonna happen, we need to communicate and be organized."

The young reality bender takes his finger off of his neck and his voice returns to normal. He looks at the group leader. "Hawkeye, do you have anything to add?"

Andi Benton has posed:
"We spoke to America first, but we have not seen her lately," Mania puts in after grabbing a cola to..hold, for the moment. Then a line forms where the mouth ought to be, those teeth becoming visible long enough for the entire contents of the container to be poured in. Shortly after that comes a hearty belch, Mania's tongue and mouth looking much like Barney Gumble's for a moment.

When it comes to 'cool,' there aren't many cooler than she is, depending on personal opinions. "We.." Then Billy turns up the volume, enough that there's a mild grimace along with a hand going up toward where an ear would be. That mouth disappears once again. Only after that does she claim another snack, adding, "We are Mania. Some of you, we already know. We patrol New York City the most often."

Emiko Queen has posed:
"People will already get some idea from the name 'Young Avengers'," Emiko notes as she picks up a soda. Pops the tab open with her thumb. "Which isn't necessarily bad, but we need to establish our own identity beyond that." She pauses to take a drink, then continues. "And the best way to do that will be to get out and be seen doing what we do." For the moment she doesn't go past that, to let their leaders get their talking in.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Oh! Then are we introducing our powers too? I mean, I'm not... I'm not anything special. Just kinda lucky in some ways? But I'm working on fighting!" Bunny tilts back for a little space, sticking a cookie in her mouth as she throws a couple of quick jabs, very well balanced, treads her skates in nervousness, the neon pink wheels rolling on the floor smoothly as she looks around the group, and then the lightbulb goes off.

"... none of you think I'm speedy like Tommy, right?"

Billy Kaplan has posed:
The reality bender is in the process of walking over to Molly when Bunny does her thing. He just about starts choking as the laughter hits him. His eyes are glittering with the magical light of the cosmos he will one day be forced to inhabit. But for now it's a fluttering, amused sparkle at Bunny's antics. "Tommy, you *promised* us she was a speedster!" Billy quips playfully to his brother.

He stops when he gets to Molly. "Hey," he says in a gentle, welcoming tone. "We are all glad you came. I'm glad you came. I think you should stick around and fight alongside us." Billy can be a bit dramatic when he's paladining. He holds out his hand to Molly. "They say that a small group of dedicated people is the only thing that has ever changed the world. Will you stick around?"

Molly Hayes has posed:
Molly Hayes sighs, "Okay, okay, everybody's right, Bruiser is good. BUT! I am still going to post the poll and you had all better vote in it!" she says, playfully raising a fist in faux threat.

Molly doesn't know exactly what the joke is, but she's good natured enough anyway. "You never know what can help. I used to have a friend who could talk to dinosaurs. And we only knew one of those."

No need to elaborate, obviously. Who hasn't had a dinosaur friend?

"So is it, like, official Avengersy ishness then? Like, Tony Stark isn't giong to sue us, right?" she asks as she takes Billy's hand at last. She gives him a big grin, "And I see who the paladin is. Always nice to know there's one around."

Kate Bishop has posed:
"America... mmm yeah I haven't seen her recently as well." she looks to Andi thoughtfully. "She is a multiversal entity that can dimension hop though so I think she may have just stepped out for a bit. I'm really hoping she comes back into view though soon."

"I admit.. I wondered if you were speedy." to Bunny, she admits "So you have luck powers..... or...?" she is trying to pin that one down. "Luck manipulation would be useful." calculating the logistical bennies of it.

"We are affiliated, loosely, with the Titans and the Avengers. Both teams know about us. I'm on one of them in a quasi we don't do leaders but I am kind of responsible sense there too way... the Titans not the Avengers. But yes Cap and Tony and Clint and all know we are using the Avengers moniker so no lawsuits." she hopes. She imagines some Stark lawyers are sue happy but they should be able to sort that out. "Huh Paladin would be a pretty good name for a super hero..." off on a tagent.

"Anyhow yeah hanging out is good... I'd like to get some training down if people plan to work together under the Aegis Young Avengers... make sure we can handle a team scenario... also get everyone comms."

Tommy Shepherd has posed:
"What, I did not!" Tommy says. Or tries to say, except his mouth is full of sandwich, so it comes out muffled. Sort of as "Whuh, I dih nuh!"

The rest of the sandwich is gone in record time, and then he's dusting off his hands, coming to stand next to Bunny again once she's done shadow-boxing. "Maybe if you ask them to," he teases on a whisper while Billy is orating, only to realize (thanks to that speedy brain of his) pretty much immediately that she actually might, so he pats her on the shoulder, supportively, but also keeps a hand nearby in case she actually does go over to Emiko and Kate to ask about a trick shot competition.

Whether or not he successfully stops her from doing so, Tommy then steps back again and gestures to Bunny. "This is totally the time for you to show off," he points out.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Oh, I can show you, probably easier to explain." Bunny states, looking up to the rafters a moment, she pushes herself a little further back to get some room. and she takes a deep breath, hopping on her skates a moment before she holds up her right hand. There's a glimmering, glowing, rainbow-colored square of light in front of her, tilted, which she hops off the floor and bounces off.

She backflips in the air, bringing her left hand down to form another shield, and uses that to spring up to the rafters, where she grinds her skates along the room a moment to look down at everyone, and then excitedly gives a wave.

"I generate shields! And I can make them skin-tight in which case I look like a gasoline puddle!" she announces.

    And then looks around.

"... can someone toss me another muffin?"

Billy Kaplan has posed:
After greeting (and hopefully recruiting) Molly, Billy makes his way over to where Emiko is standing. On the way, he grabs a muffin off the table and tosses it toward Bunny as he watches her very impressive display. He nonchalantly stops next to Emiko, facing in the same direction she is facing. He folds his arms over his chest and lets out a dramatic sigh. Then he looks at his fingernails. Only his uniform is gloved, so he can't even see them.

He has that mischievous glint in his eyes, like he's gonna be all smooth. But he's a nerd, so it fails more than it succeeds. "So, yeah, the guys were saying there is no way you can shoot an arrow through that apple tart over there on the table near the Red Bull." He shrugs. "I dunno. I told 'em you can but they swear there's no way you can."

    Billy is such an idiot.

Andi Benton has posed:
There is a quiet aloofness to Mania, though the symbiote in particular is paying attention to everything and everyone. Along the way, a tendril creeps away from a shoulder to wrap around another treat.

"We are still not used to the idea of being part of a team, but it is something we are willing to try." The voice, always a combination of feminine and something more alien together at once like this, can be eerie to hear at times. "But we also trust some of you more than others with knowing who we are. Secrets are important to keep." Pause. "And we think 'Bruiser' is a good name if you are not using 'Bonecrusher.'" This, to Molly before focus shifts toward Bunny. There isn't much of an outward response, however.

Emiko Queen has posed:
Emiko Queen just chuckles a bit at Tommy eating. She's rather familiar with the dietary habits of speedsters. "Dimension hopper, huh?" Again she doesn't sound too surprised by such a thing being a thing. She's gotten around a lot since taking up arms alongside her half-brother. "So she's probably checking out other planes, yeah."

Drinks the rest of her soda. Flicks the can with one hand, bouncing it off one of Bunny's barriers to get into a nearby waste basket. "Neat. Someone with more defense oriented powers could be really useful when dealing with those assholes that like to put civilians in danger."

Then headtilts towards Kate when the other mentions training. "You know, it's not often I get to train against another archer. Besides my brother." But that thought on archery takes pause when Billy poises an actual challenge. "Oh, do they?" she replies, a brow raising in a 'is that really how you're going to phrase it' manner, but she gets up from her chair. She can play along. Draws her bow in one hand, and arrow in the other. Turns to look at Billy. "That tart over there? You picked apple just because of the whole archer thing didn't you?" And she fires without looking away from Billy. The arrow spears the tart, and then she pulls it back to her on the attached wire. Holds it up towards Billy with a smirk. "Want it?"

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny catches the muffin, and sits on the rafter, kicking her feet a little bit of it. "I kinda like Bonecrusher. Bonebreaker. Curbstomp?" she questions, offering alternatives, and she gives a shrug, wrinkling her nose a moment. "I don't have a codename yet. Tommy, Gabby and I were working on some but none of them really 'fit'." she folds one arm over her lap, and then as the tart comes back via wired arrow, Bunny creates a shield, hops down from the rafter, and cruising by on one skate, the other skate in the air, one hand holding the muffin, she takes the apple tart.

    "Yoink!"

Tommy Shepherd has posed:
Tommy, supportively, claps his hands together as Bunny skate-grinds across the rafters. It's probably shocking that his hands aren't occupied by food at the moment, but consider it lucky timing. Also because an arrow spears through the apple tart he was considering, and he's so shocked by the whole thing that he just watches it as gets pulled back along a wire.

Could he have snatched it out of the air? Probably. But the element of surprise is a powerful thing, and Emiko has successfully stunned the speedster, so after a moment he just diverts for a cookie instead.

Billy Kaplan has posed:
Apparently Emiko doesn't even have to look at things to bullseye them. Good to know. As she spears the tart, Billy can't help but raise both eyebrows, impressed. "Made you...not look." When the tart is offered, Billy reaches for it. "Of course I want it. That was the end game of challenging you to shoot it." But as he reaches, the pastry is promptly purloined by Bunny. Wrinkling his nose in a playful, mock expression of outrage, he shakes his fist at Bunny.

Then he looks back to Emiko. "So the guys said there is no way you can shoot at arrow through that cherry tart over there..."

Kate Bishop has posed:
"Happy to train with you anytime Red." to the other archer. "Like I said, happy to train with anyone." she muses thoughtfully. "I haven't managed to con Cyborg or anyone into giving me the hard light tech we would need for a danger room yet.... but I'm working on it. We can still work on other training scenarios.. and I may be able to smuggle people into the Tower for a session with a guest access too if need be."

She sips her energy drink watching the tart shakedown happening and then to Andi. "I'm glad you are willing to give it a go..." before to the room. "I'll get comms for everyone before you all leave tonight... least we can do is help each other with crime problems while we work on getting more orgarnized."

Andi Benton has posed:
By the time show and tell is done, demonstrations made, food and drink eaten, the rest of the crew that sticks around gets to see an interesting sight:

Mania, sat down in front of one of the television screens, with a gaming controller in both hands. All things considered, that's quite something.
