Rogues Gone Wild: The Best of the Rest
Date of Scene: 02 July 2023
Location: Midtown - New Troy
Synopsis: Lexcorp is the latest target of the Rogues criminal rampage, but like the previous efforts, it too is destined to fail. But it increasingly seems likely that some greater plan is in the works...
Cast of Characters: Barry Allen, Diana Prince, Bart Allen, Bunny Macleod, Jon Kent, Felicity Smoak, Belinda Gutierrez

Barry Allen has posed:
The sun has set in Metropolis and the sunny skies of the daylight hours have given over to dark clouds, the occasional ripple of sheet lightning through those now stormy skies and a very sticky heat. The feel of rain, of a good ol' fashion thunder-boomer is thick in the air.

Hasn't anyone informed the weather that this is Metropolis, not Gotham City?

Despite the threat of some inclement weather, the Avenue of Tomorrow seems just as busy as it always is, crowds lured in by the promise of the latest and greatest tech out there - along with some bargain basement prices if one knows the right shop or street vendor. The city always seems a beacon of light of course, but this strip even more so as bright neon signs compete with the abundance of video billboards that practically seems to fill every available rooftop or building front making the crowds below glow in a multi-colored hue.

Even the recent rash of attempted robberies by some of the more notorious criminals in the city has not been enough to dampen the enthusiasm of the crowd-goers, though the local tech CEOs might be losing just a little sleep over the entire thing. And while the last week or so has offered something of a respite from those efforts, it seems that the city's luck is about to run out.

Small tech firms have been hit, the HALO corporation has been victimized and S.T.A.R. Labs itself became the latest victim of the Rogues latest rampage through the city. So who's next? Well, the answer should be fairly obvious.

No company dominates the business scene of Metropolis - and maybe the entire world - quite like LexCorp. And that is indeed where the trouble starts. The initial disturbances are mostly contained and even the MPD is not alerted as LexCorp's internal security tries to deal wit the matter. But as the minutes pass, as the chaos continues to build hidden away behind the steel and glass monolith that is the corporate headquarters, silent alarms are finally sent to the Metropolis Police Department - and all those other institutions and individuals that might be listening.

But for those not tuned into law enforcement, the first hint that something might just be wrong on this particular night is when a shadow passes overhead, soaring over the street like some sort of giant 'V'. It only slows down as it nears the LexCorp tower that dominates one end of the avenue, giant cables shooting out from it, embedding in the wall of the building. Then, with a wrenching crack and the sound of concrete and glass pulling away from the building, the giant boomerang begins to float away, dragging what appears to be a very heavy, very sturdy vault along with it as chunks of building material and glass rain down on the crowds below?

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana still holds residence in Metropolis. She was living in Metropolis up to becoming a public super hero in 2017. Shortly after that she moved to New York where she opened the Themysciran Embassy. Yet still, her penthouse apartment is still maintained and still sees use rather frequently as the Princess moves between the Embassy in Manhattan, and the Hall of Justice here in Metropolis.

As it so happens, the Invisible Jet is touching down on the helicopter pad atop the apartment building itself when things start to go awry not too far away.

Diana is even disembarking the alien-technology-powered Jet when the JLA alerts start going out. She pauses, standing in her armored attire between two Amazonian sisters in their own battle armor. They had just come from combat training Young Justice League members and hopefuls at the Hall, and were preparing to retire for the evening...

But now?

"Diana?" One of her sisters inquires.

"Something is happening." Diana replies as she turns back toward the Jet, with her two flanking sisters exchanging uncertain glances before the trio of women in glinting armor turn-about and return in to their unusual transport vehicle....

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen was stopping by Titan tower when the message came in about LexCorp. While normally it is more looking for threats from said building, things happening to it will get noticed as well. Bart looks over the report, and sees the giant Boomerang, and hmms. He does a quick check if the building and sees Jon. "Hey you can fly right?" He asks the other young man. "Captain Boomerang is breaking a piece off of LexCorp, and we should check it out." He smiles and says "Once we get there may need a lift up to the boomerangaplane. " Yup Bart just named the villain's vehicle. "So, want to come along? That is if you think you can keep up." He gives Jon a 3, 2, 1 Go." And starts off. He does occasionally turn back to make sure Jon is keeping up mostly, and make sure he does not run anyone over. Bart is a bit more used to quick turns in a city and such. Soon Impulse and Superboy are standing on one of the nearby Skyscrappers to get a look at what is going on.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
So, ordinarily Bernice 'Bunny" Macleod wuoldn't be messing around in Metropolis. She'd be chilling back in Brooklin, skating backwards and flipping people off in traffic.

However tonight she had some Derby Duties, and though she's coming out already banged up, bruised, and with a rainbow band-aid with a bunny face sharpied on it clinging to her cheek, she gives a wave to the others, and skates along, intent on getting down to the Hyperloop station.

She happened to be underneath the big ol' LexCorp building when things started going down, and her eyes got big. She skated to the middle of the crowd, light reflecting off her neon pink roller skates as she hopped up on a bench, and brought her hands up.

Her prismatic shields, with their gasoline-rainbow colors light up!

"Get under cover!" Bunny barks out, the Young Avenger grimmacing slightly.

Jon Kent has posed:
Jon is always one to take emergencies seriously. But still, he *is* a teenager and likes having fun too. So when Bart drops the line about keeping up, Jon wrinkles his nose playfully and grins wickedly. "Like a walk in the part, Allen!" he blurts out and rushes off after his friend. He has no access to the Speed Force, but damn is he fast. He comes *SO* close to catching Bart a few times. That's not a boast too many people can make.

But soon enough the two young heroes are standing on a nearby skyscraper watching the daring heist.

"Huh," Superboy says to Impluse. "That is one of the darndest thing I've ever seen." Yeah, our Goodest Boy actually says darndest. "We should prob'ly...prob'ly stop that."

Felicity Smoak has posed:

Felicity Smoak had been enjoying a very pleasant evening of drinking wine in a New York City penthouse with one Oliver Queen. She'd even promised not to get up and go searching for proof of existence of the Men in Black after a random comment and the ensuing, circuitous string of speculation had eventually led to her suggest that the might actually exist.

But that changed when the alarm bells went off. She'd had their temporary 'command center' set up in the penthouse for less than a day, and already it was pushing notifications to her phone -- LEXCORP SILENT ALARM, MPD EN ROUTE.

After the string of attacks on tech firms in Metropolis, Felicity had set up a series of alerts from the Justice League to media outlets and law enforcement agencies to notify her if another company -- especially a major company -- got hit.

She hadn't even needed to explain. Oliver could tell by the look on her face. And a moment later, she was behind her desk in the corner that /beautiful/ penthouse with the amazing view of the New York skyline ignoring it all in favor of the four giant monitors mounted in front of her. Fingers flash over the keyboard -- incident report on one screen, MPD call log and dispatch dashboard on another, live-streaming news on another, and Justice League network on another.

She was already patching into comms and shoving her earpiece in her ear, connecting herself to Barry's comms -- and any of the others that connected to the secured network line.

<< "Flash? It's Overwatch. I don't mean to mean to overreact, but I'm looking at a live video of the LexCorp building. Did someone just throw a giant /boomerang/ into the side of the building?" >>

Barry Allen has posed:
If nothing else you can pretty much count on the citizens of Metropolis to know how to react in the event of an emergency. There are so very many of them.

Almost at once the crowds near the far end of the Avenue of Tomorrow begin to scatter, diving out of the way as falling debris rains down on the street below, crashing down on benches and parked cars. At least for the most part. At least one young woman seems a-ok out in the open, that multi-colored shield protecting her from the worst. Though nearby though hasten to comply, most dashing headlong down the street and away from the apparent trouble at LexCorp, though a few do take cover nearby, cowering by those same parked cars, peering up skyward to try and see exactly where the threat is coming from.

The brightly lit street would give all those below a much better look of just what's going on then might otherwise be the case with the dark sky beyond, Though it is rather obliging too as another flash of that sheet lightning ripples through the stark grey cloud cover, for a moment lighting up that giant floating boomerang that begins to float away from the scene of the crime with it's ill-gotten prize. More impressive in it's own way - though it might be a close thing - is the fact that a figure hurls himself out that gapping hole in the side of the building, leaping from LexCorp's headquarters onto the floating boomerang. Dressed in blue, the man twists in mid-air, a pair of much smaller boomerangs appearing in his hands as if magic. "Too slow," Digger Harkness - Captain Boomerang - yells back towards the security guards who are racing after the fleeing villains before he hurls that pair of boomerangs towards the opening.

The two projectiles go soaring past another man. At least one would assume that it is a man. It's almost impossible to tell though, largely because the figure is little more than a green and yellow blur, spinning around so quickly that when the shape slides out that same opening it continues to move downward, seeming to move fast enough to cling to the side of the building. As he exits that gapping hole, the pair of boomerange explode just behind him, sending the pursuing guards scattering as the shattered room fills with smoke and even more debris. That then would be Rosecoe Dillon - The Top.

Barry Allen has posed:
Just as the teams of Rogues have slowly grown through the weeks, Captain Boomerang and the Top are not alone. The front doors to the lobby of the LexCorp building explode outward as a ramp of ice plows straight through them and continues to expand outward. And while Captain Cold might already be imprisoned from an earlier robbery attempt, the reason why becomes obvious a moment later when a woman comes skating out along that ice slick, a familiar looking cold gun in her hand as she directs it in front of her, creating her very own ice rink. Lisa Snart - The Golden Glider.

He apparent partner is much more innocuous appearing, at least at first. An older, heavy set man, he certainly doesn't look like much of a threat in what appears to be a little more then a green hoodie, plodding along in the wake of the much more flashy woman in front of him. But as a couple of guards move to intercept him he just motions with his hand and suddenly it is as if the very air around them has turned to molasses, leaving them to barely move at all. A living, breathing slow motion delay. The Turtle then.

For a change, Barry Allen is not, in fact working at the forensic labs of the MPD. His shift finished up a couple of hours ago, and as he has done most nights for the past week or so when not at work, he is already staking out the Avenue of Tomorrow. Almost as if he has been anticipating this. Probably because he has. Three separate robberies and just about all of his main enemies involved in some fashion. There's only a handful left. So really it was just a matter of time. Still, when Felicity's voice sounds in his ear, Barry smiles. "Good to hear from you Overwatch. Yes, please. I could definitely use your help," he asserts gratefully.

"Can you scan the area and see what other hero-types might be on the scene. And then tap them into our comms - securely of course. Coordination will help," the Flash asserts, already starting to race from his perch atop one of the buildings, a red and gold streak racing down the side of it as if gravity were a mere, tiny inconvenience. "And see if you can pull up some satellite imaging. We got ambushed by Mirror Master last time. If anyone else is hiding out here, I wouldn't mind knowing ahead of time?"

Diana Prince has posed:
The 'Invisible Jet' wasn't always invisible, that was just the meme passed around online in social media forums. In fact, here tonight, it's moving over the city very much visible. Like a elegantly crafted dagger, the vessel slices through the air without making much noise at all, its engines being powered by technology unlike anything currently produced on Earth.

As it gets closer however, its cloud-hued hull does begin to shimmer, with a very faint blue-glow surrounding its body before it does fade out of existence like it just flew right out of reality all together.

Moments later, and a voice familiar to most here speaks. "Wonder Woman is on scene."

She's out of the Jet, as it were, standing atop the building's edge that the villainous vehicle was ripping chunks out of.

Diana's eyes stare down from atop the building, watching what is unfolding now, with her loose dark hair flowing around her otherwise bare shoulders. She clenches her leather-wrapped fists once, before letting them go slack again.

"Do we know what is happening here precisely?" She asks over comms before her right hand reaches for the many coils of the lasso of truth that dangles from the leather harness strapped about her body....

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen is on the Overwatch channel for multiple reasons. He looks over to Jon and says "Open up to frequency Blah, with a phase shift of blah blah." He looks out over the scene and says over the com and to Jon as well. "I see two up high and two on ground level." He does a quick mini miny mo, and points towards the plane "Superboy and I will take on the bad captain. Also Overwatch what is the weather forecast for today, are we dealing with four or five rogues?" He motions towards the plane and says "Get us there?" To Jon.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Prisma, Young Avengers -- hey all, I'm on the ground right below! andohmigod-it-is-wonder-woman!" Bunny's cheery voice comes over, the last part probably meant to be under her breath and not said out loud.

"Looks like someone took out a bunch of LexCorp's building with a literal giant boomerang. An' down this way someone just came out of the building with a cold gun and there's a guy in a green hoodie right behind her? Overwatch, do you have ID's? I'm a WEE bit out of my element in this city!" Bunny pipes up, switching over to ehr pink goggles as she drops her shields, shakes her head out, and then begins her approach to aforementioned Ice Skater, stretching her hands out.

"Don't die don't die don't die, Gabby and Tommy will be so mad if I die--"

Jon Kent has posed:
As a member of the Justice League -- albeit a trainee -- Superboy is already tuned to frequency Blah, with a phase shift of blah blah.

<<Superboy checking in with Impulse, Overwatch.>> he says over the com system.

Then he looks up to see the arrival of Wonder Woman! "Oh shoot," he mutters. "Wonder Woman is here. I hope I don't screw up or I'll be mopping floors at the Hall of Justice for weeks."

As easily as someone picks up an action figure, Superboy grabs Impulse under the arms and effortlessly lifts off of the rooftop. He rockets toward the plane and drops Impulse on top of it. Even for the likes of Superboy, this takes no small amount of effort due to wind currents and velocities...and being nervous. But he manages to deposit his crimefighting pal on the plane.

To Impulse, he says, "Let's see how this thing flies with a little drag." Then he quickly flies to grab the vault being dragged by the giant boomerang. Superboy begins reversing his flight to add extra drag to the plane's load.

Felicity Smoak has posed:
<< "You too," >> Felicity's voice responds to Barry over the channel. << "Maybe next time let's do it over drinks instead of.. you know.. mass destruction. I'm working on comms. It looks like you've already got a few friends on scene. They should all be on any second. Satellite's coming online now." >>

When Diana's voice comes across the comms, Felicity is quick to reply, << "It looks like another tech theft, just like the other recent heists. LexCorp security reported the vault being stolen when they called MPD. Video footage shows the... boomerang?... dragging something out of the building. My money's on the vault." >>

As she's talking, Felicity is also working... furiously. Every one of the four screens is flashing through information.

<< "Satellite is online. You're right. There's a large heat signature on the ground just northeast of the LexCorp building on the street. I've got nothing on cameras." >>

More frantic typing.

<< "Weather report is thunderstorms, but it's natural. NWS has been tracking the cell moving in from the west for the last eighteen hours." >>

One last pause.

<< "Okay.. I've cross-referenced the indexes of the biometric... you don't need to know that. Captain Boomerang, aka Digger Harkness, throws.. as you might imagine.. boomerangs. He just left with the vault. The Top, aka Roscoe Dillon, likes to spin fast -- he's on the side of the building where the hole just opened up. Just outside of the front of the building is Golden Glider, aka Lisa Snart... uses a cold gun. There's someone with her, but I can't get an ID on him. Can anyone see what that heat signature is?" >>

Belinda Gutierrez has posed:
Sad truth has finally reared its ugly head. Even in the most wonderful of cities, pristine and bright and clean and shiny....

The trains can run late. Belinda blames Gotham City, bad karma, and possibly Canadian Nazi gremlins. Mostly in that order.

Luckily, Bel caught sight of the giant V-wing Boomerang thing as it soared in lazy fashin to its destinatin! Unfortunately, trying to run after said craft on *foot*, on the ground....

"/OUT OF WAY!/" the eight foot furred fury of Silverdane howls, racing down the streets, leaping various cars and cargo van roofs and soaring through the air with only the occasinal ICEBEAMSTREETNOTRACTION---!

From blacktop to ice rink in a heartbeat: Silverdane's fullbore run takes a a turn for the comitragic as she runs straight into the icy surface Glider's weapon leaves behind, a fuzzy flash zipping between the Villainous Golden Girl and the Demolition Bunny, here and gone again in her own flash. Good news-- the uncontrolled careening does not carry far!

Bad news-- because the stop at the end is a parked heavy haul eighteen wheeler.

Her sudden halt is heavy, loud, and a monstrously hammering retort of wolfgirl into metal, nearly caving in the side of the vehicle's trailer. She stares from the decidedly shaped dent-crater in the side of the rig's trailer wall, staring out incomprehensibly from her throne of aluminum.

/"Silverdane here,"/ comes the gruff, strained voice of the heroine from her dented enclosure, echoing suspiciously over the comms. /"And ground... iced ground. Mind truck. Stops running, but no recommend le como, the 'how'. Also: 'Ow'."/

Barry Allen has posed:
A fine, precision instrument this particular team is not. But then none of the Rogues have exactly been behaving like their normal selves. That's a concern to some - Barry first and foremost - but it is not just him that has noticed.

While this might be serious business to some, the message doesn't seem to have gotten through to Captain Boomerang who is laughing as he rushes along the length of that hovering, giant boomerang, winging his much smaller models at billboards as he passes. The boomerangs explode on impact and in moments a trio of the giant electronic screens dangle precariously, threatening to drop on the fleeing crowds below. Though when he notices that the forward progress of his getaway 'vehicle' has slowed to a crawl he races towards the back of it, peering around the heavy steel vault that drags behind it, trying to spot the source. "Oi! Who's back there? Come out and get yerself good and properly blown up. Like a man!" Compelling argument.

for his part, the spinning Top continues to race down the side of LexCorp building, dodging and veering aside from any of the falling debris. As he touches down on the ground, he continues to veer towards the street, though his path takes him directly towards Bunny, a little storm of loose glass, paper and yes, even a mailbox picked up in that vortex that surrounds him, whirling about like a shield. A very swiftly moving shield.

"Ugh," the woman in white and gold on ice skates says, with a shake of her head. "That idiot Aussie is in trouble already. Deal with things down here, alright?" she says to the man in the green hoodie who gives a slow, unconcerned nod in return. Then Lisa Snart is spiralling upward, that ice ramp continually forming out in front of her as she seeks to draw close enough to bring the meddlesome Superboy in range of her freeze ray.

Even as his partner begins to spirally away, skating swiftly along her icey trail, the Turtle continues to plod along, seemingly unconcern. He continues to gesture towars the guards left in his wake and they in turn continue to move as if in slow motion, seeming to take a dozen or more seconds to even move an inch. Stoic faced, the older man continues to slowly waddle his way out towards the sidewalk. As the huge werewolf suddenly goes skidding past him, slipping on Golden Glider's icy trail he finally shows at least some reaction; mild surprise. Watching as she goes careening into the side of the trailer, he slowly begins to lift a hand her way.

For his part Barry continues to race along the street, weaving in and out of the crowds instinctively, despite the high speeds. "I wish. Maybe when this craziness with the Rogues is done I can drop by to see you and Oliver," he agrees wryly. Of course, who knows when that will be? "Hot spot, huh? I wonder?" he says over the comms, altering his course just a little as he heads towards the spot Overwatch has indicated. He is practically on top of it before the ground suddenly shifts, rearing up, the dark asphalt proving much more. It is like a wall of tar, rearing up through the ground, little streaks of red the only thing to break up that black mass as it lunges towards the stumbling Flash. "Yep, you were right. It's Tar Pit," he reports, rolling aside just before that mass of hot, sentient tar comes pouring down where he was sprawled on the roadway. "And he's pissed."

Diana Prince has posed:
With the report coming in from everyone, Diana stands atop the building under siege with her eyes being cast in the direction of the approaching foul weather. Her dark hair streaks across her face in the winds preluding the storms, as her eyes focus on the flashes of lightning mixed in with the dark clouds.

But the sounds growing ever more chaotic down below, the Princess drops her stare down toward the street far below, her enhanced vision allowing her to see much that the average person this high up might not be able to see.... With a soft breath taken, Diana steps around the ledge, moving past cables and random building adornments before she steps off the ledge to begin her rapid descent!

Just before landing upon the street, however, Wonder Woman curves her descent and moves at tremendous speeds toward the Spinning Top to attempt to intercept him before he can reach Bunny!

With her shining armored forewarms up, and crossed over one another, Wonder Woman becomes a battering ram of intense momentum to collide right in to the Spinning Top!

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks over to Boomerang as he gets his footing and says "Oh yea worry about the booty but not the boot." He says as he runs over with speed, and pulls Bommer's cap down over his eyes and gives him a kick in the butt before moving off to the side, so he is not where he was when he kicked him. He does make sure not to kick the man off the boomerang at least. "You know, if you got things like this you might be able to rent it out make it into a giant smile and you can get great money from the dentist." He hmms "That or he may try to steal it from you."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Well, the green and yellow tornado is making its way down to Bunny. Bunny winces, bringing up her shield again to block some of the falling glass, skating to the side before she brings her hands down and --
    HOP to one platform.
HOP to a second platform, higher and to the front --
HOP to a third platform of her shields --

And then sbe leaps from this, in time with the Top coming down, and she leaps forward, front-flipping, and tries to bring the nice, hard wheels of her skates down on The Top's body!

"How do you *not* get horribly motion sick from that?!"

Jon Kent has posed:
The combination of Superboy's Kryptonian and human heritage enhances -- not diminishes -- the powers he inherited from his father. He's a genuine powerhouse! BUT, he is inexperienced. As he tugs on the dangling vault trying to upset Boomerang's escape, he tunnel visions on the task. He doesn't maintain situational awareness as Lisa Snart sneaks up behind him without his notice. That is Mistake #1.

As he strains to tug on the vault, one of the cables upon which it depends snaps and Superboy realizes Mistake #2: Not making a plan. What happens if this vault snaps free and plummets to the ground? What will it destroy? Who will it hurt or kill?

"Okay, Bart!" he yells. "Time for a different plan!" This time the super powered teen flies *under* the vault and pushes it skyward. He wants to smash it into the V-shaped plane and lift both of them upwards and away from the vulnerable civilians below.

But is he strong enough?

Felicity Smoak has posed:
Felicity winces at the sound of Silverdane on comms. << "That.. would be Lisa's doing. Everyone watch out for ice." >>

It was about that time that Barry got back on the comms, confirming Tar Pit's presence. << "Barry, what happens when you freeze tar? Asking for a friend... also, be careful with Golden Glider's friend in the coat. I'm watching the video feed, and everyone around him looks like they're frozen in place." >>

A few more seconds pass. << "I've got the satellite and air traffic control tracking the signature of that boomerang. Can anyone -- Oh, never mind! He's already -- woah. This is /way/ cooler than my regular day job... I mean night job." Pause. "What? No, sorry, Oliver. I wasn't talking to you." >>

<< "Okay, I'm hacking into the city's traffic systems and re-routing new traffic from the area. I'll coordinate with MPD on getting the civilians as clear as I can." >>

Belinda Gutierrez has posed:
Seconds to recover-- seconds that, as Silverdane wrenches herself from the trailer's wreckage, shaking her head to clear it as she focuses on the oncoming Turtle. Grinning toothily, she lopes forward, striding across the road-- quick catch, quick arrest, first villain of the day! Save that movements and moments suddenly stretch out into longer moments and minutes and hours and... time, endlessly stretching further out and on and forever and longer...

...longer...

    ...everything...

        ....slowing....

            ....down.

A slow-motion horror show wolfwoman, now all but frozen in time-- the Werewolf advances on the turtlish Rogue in agonizing slowness, drawn to a near standstill as she closes in. Slow-- yet trudging agonizingly, determinedly, relentlessly.

Barry Allen has posed:
Those video billboards that had been dangling precariously finally snap free of their tenuous holds, beginning to plummet down towards the street - and the few stragglers - down below. Bombs away, it looks like Digger Harkness might still have his day.

Which probably won't offer a whole look of comfort to the Aussie thief who is dealing with a much more vexing problem. He continues to crane his head, trying to peer around that vault and gain a bead on Superboy - so much so that he never even notices Bart speed along the wing of that flying Boomerang to tug that jaunty cap down over his eyes and give him a swift kick in the backside. The indignity! "What the fu-" he starts to curse as he stumbles, those boomerangs going tumbling from his hands, falling over the edge of the glider. "I recognize that voice! You get back here Baby Flash and I'll show you what's what!" he calls out angrily, trying to jerk that cap free.

Of course Superboy is about to have his own set of problems. While he identifies the potential problem of ripping the dangling vault free of the Boomerang glider in time and starts to compensate, it does keep him a little preoccupied as Golden Glider continues to skate up behind him, that spiraling ice ramp creeping higher and higher into the air until she comes to an abrupt stop, sending up a little spray of ice, a little snow shower that starts sprinkling down to the street below. Then, with a smile, Lisa Snart unloads with her Cold Gun.

That polar ray lashes out, hitting the Teen of Steel, almost at once beginning to coat him in sheet upon sheet of ice that slowly crawls up over him. And then keeps going, coating the dangly bits that he was clinging to, all the way up to the lower part of the vault.

Golden Glider is no Captain Cold, not anywhere near as meticulous and brilliant in her planning. So she never really considered what all that additional weight might do. Almost at once that Boomerang-shaped glider gives a shudder and begins to lurch violently to one side, careening through the sky overhead as it plows towards a nearby building on a violent collision course.

On the ground, the Turtle is hardly moving fast, though again his eyes widen ever so slightly as Silverdane begins to charge him. Apparently even he is a little phased by a giant werewolf coming right at him. But he finishes that gesture, motioning towards Belinda and then she too is barely moving at all as he slowly walks by, each motion so very deliberate. He looks like he could be out for a relaxing, evening stroll judging by his hurry. Compared to his victims though? He might as well be moving at superspeed.

Barry Allen has posed:
That whirling Top speeds towards Bunny as she starts her own complicated set of moves before hurtling herself at him. Before he can reach her though, the Amazon Princess is suddenly there. For just an instant Diana is battered by all that clutter he has picked up, that flying mailbox slamming into her side. Metal meets amazon - and metal gets the worst of it, left a flat wreck. As fast as he's moving, when he slams into her the Top abruptly stumbles backward - right before those skates come down on him, sending him crashing to the ground. Glaring up at them Roscoe Dillon begins to babble. "You're not supposed to be here! He promised me a Flash. A Flash!" he shouts, spittle flying from his mouth as he speaks.

For a steaming pile of tar, Tar Pit moves pretty darn fast and Barry scrambles to stay one step ahead, to regain his feet, just barely managing in time. So many of his usual tactics don't work so well against this particular foe and he speeds up, trying to focus on keeping him off balance, though the danger to the nearby civilians by the falling billboards forces him to divert, to race over and carry a small group of people out of the way in rapid sequence before pausing beneath one of the plummeting screens, windmilling arms sending up a vortex to slow it's descent. But it does leave him a little vulnerable. "Great idea Overwatch. Cold is just the ticket. If you could maybe get someone to arrange that," he agrees, a little note of worry creeping into his voice as he risks a quick sneak peek at the onrushing wall of tar bearing down on him. "Please!" he adds a little more urgently.

Diana Prince has posed:
Wonder Woman's intention was never to stick around to deal with the Spinning Top even after slamming in to him. Mail boxes aside, Diana has places to be, and she continues on her soaring run across the avenue toward one of the massive falling screens.

Around Diana, the lasso of Truth suddenly glows bright as it is unwound from her body, and twirled out in to the air between she and the support beams of the screen's base!

Wrapping again and again around one of the metal frame legs, Wonder Woman sweeps back upward now finishing her hook-arch as she makes for the sky again!

Glowing lasso of divine power behind her, the rope snaps taught as she ascends to one of the nearby building facades!

Wonder Woman's powerful legs plant down upon a building outcropping, as her Hestia-bestowed rope is at its full extended length now. She grits her teeth, her every muscle clenched tightly as she strains to hold the sign up and keep it from smashing on to the ground until everyone within its damage radius can get out from beneath it... but as things happen to go, it begins to crumble as it was never designed for this kind of mad strain on its frame and form!

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will shake his head and says "No, Baby flash would be someone else, and kid Flash thats another one, I am Impulse, I know it is hard for you to keep everything straight, but I'm the one in white and Red, wait you can't see me can you." He will move to start pulling Captain Boomerang's boomerangs off his belt, looking at them trying to see if he can tell what they are tossing them over his shoulder towards the other side of the V. He will look down "Dang it I need to get a utility belt." He says and starts to spin the captain around to keep him distracted and disoriented.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Metal meets Amazon and probably makes a TANG! noise, butBunny gives a squeak as she bounces off The Top, and lands on her bottom, skidding a bit before she pushes up and recovers, drawing to her skates as she breathes out, sliding backwards as her skates meet ice left over from the icy lady, Bunny looks to Roscoe, and grimmaces.

"Not from me, buddy!" she exclaims out, and then winds herself up. Another prismatic platform that she leaps onto, nearly scrabbling off, and then she tilts it her end up, using gravity force in lieu of Speed Force to deliver a gut-kick to the guy and try to keep him down!

    "Naptime!"

Jon Kent has posed:
A thick, terrible coating of ice surrounds Superboy, including his head and face. Fortunately, the young half-Kryptonian can survive even outer space without breathing. For a brief instance he closes his eyes and murmurs, "Jor-El." His grandfather. It's just something he does in times of great stress and doubt: pay homage to a dead man from a dead world. Gritting his teeth and letting out a yell, he slams the vault into the plane as the ice around his body shatters. Up, up, up he pushes the vault and the plane, straining at the very outer limits of even his strength. A small trickle of blood trails from one nostril as he pushes, pushes, pushes.

And it is working! Superboy pushes the vault. The vault pushes the ice-covered, failing jet. And before long it's all out over the water!

And that is when, finally, Superboy's strength fails. The vault slips from his frozen hands and dead-falls toward the water. The cables holding the vault to the jet snap, but not before the plane, too, begins a rapid, uncontrolled fall. Hovering in mid-air, an exhausted Superboy watches the whole mess crash into the water.

Over his comm, <<Over...watch...big wave...coming in at...any moment.>>

And then Superboy, too, falls into the sea.

Felicity Smoak has posed:
From deep within the bowels of LexCorp, there rose a sudden, angry buzzing, as if someone had knocked down a nest of wasps and the resulting angry swarm was rising out of the building with ferocious speed. Through the corridors, past the already panicked people running down the halls, the cloud soared and finally rose out of the same hole that the vault had been ripped from.

Felicity's splitting her attention, now, between setting the paths on the groups of drones and keeping up with the rest of the team.

<< "I found a back way into some drone tech... no idea what these are for, but air support incoming." >>

There were two dozen of them, each the size of dinner plates, propelled by some internal mechanism that made them look a little like flying saucers from the old black and white movies. Their intended design purpose? Who knows. But they're /fast/.

Racing down to the street level, five of them head straight for the Turtle, angling their narrow edges straight down at his head and streaking through the sky like angry buzz saws of doom. They were /not/ buzz saws, but.. well.. how would you know that if the first time you saw one it was flying at your face? Especially if you're particularly slow moving...

The rest of them are all headed to Barry and Tar Pit, several of them flying straight into the wall of tar with sticky 'PLOP-PLOP-PLOP's.

Then there's the message from Jon, and two of the drones immediately divert, peeling off towards where the plane, the vault, and Super Boy himself are headed into the water.

<< "Incoming water, everyone... fallout.. unknown... I don't have a depth." >>

Regardless, the alarms around the LexCorp building and all of the surrounding buildings start going off.

Belinda Gutierrez has posed:
Everything. Slow. Endless. Fraction of motion.

For Silverdane, the world just seems to *explode* into motion, everyone, everything at hyperspeed! "Que?" she breathes out, eyes widening in shock. "Is everyone faster now...?" she begins, pausing, watching the blurs of motion that are heroes, vilains, innocents, things-- at least the Lexcorp security guards are 'normal' speed! Small comfort as she rumbles ominously....

Slowly. Endlessly. Locked in eternity of endless, long motion. One might see her head moving, eyes slooooooowly widening as... flying discs. Soaring Roombas of Lexy Doom! And entirely looking far too much like Frisbees.

Slowly tense. Urge to catch! Habit.

Barry Allen has posed:
Between the Flash and Wonder Woman, the situation with the plummeting video billboards seems to be in hand, more or less. Maybe a little bit less than more as basic physics starts to intervene. At least they give all the innocent civilians a chance to get out of the way. For Diana's part, she is abruptly covered in a rain of shattered glass and electronics, though it simply piles around her harmlessly.

Barry's problem is slightly more serious - mainly because he's not nearly invulnerable. He relies on his speed to avoid injury and right now, he is more or less stuck in one place, using those air currents to lower the billboard a little more evenly to the ground. But it means that it is only at the last second that he is able to throw himself aside once more, rolling across the ground as Tar Pit's wave form slams past him, splattering against the wall. A huge mess of tar spreads out across the corner of the nearby building and ground, dozens of separate splatters everywhere. But then it starts to all reform, pulling itself together into that vague, blob-shaped human figure. "Ugh, what a mess," Barry mutters, picking himself up as his gaze darts between the inhuman monster plaguing him and his efforts to keep the civilians safe - and Golden Glider high above with the perfect means of putting Tar Pit on literal ice.

Up in the air Golden Glider remains where she is, looking for then a little panicked as her plan goes awry and endangers the apparent prize that they were apparently after in the first place, the Boomerang glider threatening to crash into the building. She's not concerned about Impulse or even Captain Boomerang who is being rapidly disarmed atop the crashing glider. But that prize.

Impulse doesn't seem to have any difficulty keeping his own footing onboard that Boomerang, though Digger might not be able to say the same as the speedster keeps him spinning and off-balance, any of his weapons quickly stripped away. "Stop? it?" the Aussie thief complains. "Oh god? I'm gonna chuck all over you," Digger threatens, indeed looking a little green beneath the gills.

But before he can Jon Kent exerts himself. Even frozen under sheets of ice, the newest member of the Justice League is able to make one last effort to keep the glider and it's heavy cargo of a stolen tech vault from slamming into one of the glass and steel towers that line the sides of the Avenue of Tomorrow, forcing both up higher, away from the street to weath they - and he - can plummet into the waiting harbor below.

Hopefully Impulse can get Captain Boomerang and himself off in time. He's resourceful. He'll probably be fine. Probably.

For her part, Lisa Snart is breathing a sigh of relief. "We can still recover it?" she mutters under her breath before glancing downward once more, that ramp of ice starting to descend. Golden Glider picks up speed, racing towards Diana, levelling that Cold Gun once more. "Lets see how you like being put on ice, Princess?" she mutters.

Already off balance, and apparently ranting, the Top has no chance at all when Bunny goes for her flying takedown, the kick taking him hard in the gut, leaving the spinning villain doubled-over on the pavement, clutching his mid-section, still muttering to himself. "Promised? me? a? Flash?" he manages, last words all but a whisper before he loses consciousness. "?stupid monkey?"

Barry Allen has posed:
While certainly the least theatrical of all those present, thus far the Turtle has probably been the most effective. Arms extended towards Silverdane and the LexCorp guards, the hooded man keeps both threats completely neutralized as he begins to stroll down the street, heading towards the nearest alleyway. Before he an reach it however, some of those LexCorp drones come buzzing out of the LexCorp building like it's a hornet's nest, sweeping in towards the man in the green hoodie. As the little flying saucers begin to dive bomb him he instinctively waves his hands at them.

And as he does so, the Turtle stops pointing at Silverdane. Almost at once the great big werewolf finds that she is free to move again.

As Tar Pit reconstitutes, he starts advancing towards the Flash once more. Which is when the suicide drones begin dive bombing him, driving him back. Just a step or two, but it buys Barry a few precious seconds. "Diana!" he calls out. "Get the freeze ray!" he adds. He's not begging. Honest.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will see they are heading towards the water and throws Boomer over his shoulder, and says "If you puke on me, I am so going to dunk you into the ocean." He starts running back and forth working up his speed, and as the plane hits the water he is off. He is heading towards where Jon is heading to the water, planning on getting his friend, and the Menace from down under both to the shore line.

Diana Prince has posed:
A little bit of glass and gunk in one's hair is not enough to put any pause to Wonder Woman's stride! She watches the civilians below seemingly get clear enough to allow her to lean the massive video screen board up against the build itself where it begins to slump down against the building's facade. As she's turning around is when she hears the approaching cackling taunts of this Golden Glider person. The ice beam is fired at her, which Diana instictively raises her right armored forearm up to block, but upon seeing the ice creeping around her bracer she realizes she must do something more to avoid this woman's dastardly plans for her...

Diana's body spins around, she drops to one knee, and simply slams her bracer covered arms together. A shocking burst of kinetic energy smashes the ice on her covered bracer, and blossoms out like a tidal wave of raw energy toward the Glider Girl's aggressive approaching form!

The kinetic energy of Wonder Woman's own aggressive response spreads through the avenue, shattering windows as an unfortunate bit of collateral damage!

Diana doesn't hesitate for even a moment either, her powerful legs lunging her forward with her right hand snapping down to grab her lasso and unfurl it off of the video screen foundation! It sweeps out like a lashing bullwhip to ensnare the Ice weapon from the mits of the hopefully stunned Golden Glider! She yanks hard on her rope to draw the weapon back to her own hands before she leaps from the video screen's frame back down toward the ground where she finally lands in a standard super hero style!

Bunny Macleod has posed:
<The Top is now on his bottom!> Prisma announces over the coms <He said some monkey promised him a flash -- ah... does anyone know an evil monkey by any chance?> she asks into the coms, and then duckss as the windows shatter all along the avenue, raising her shields up again so that both the Top and herself don't become skewered with glass! She gives a soft squeak of alarm, and then looks up

<What's the status of the water? I'm not going to be able to carry this guuuuyyyy hey, can we use the ice gun to freeze the water like in Frozen-Two? Or was that the plan -- I kinda was all concentrated on not breaking ribs.> she states, wrinkling her nose a moment as she drops her shields, looking to the ocean beyond.

Jon Kent has posed:
Having been pulled out by Impulse, Superboy crawls up on the shore. "I was about to get myself out!" he grouses at his friend, a small hint of a smile just barely on his lips. He regains his feet and peers around at the wreckage. Water cascaded in from the sea as the vault and the plane splashed down. He draws in a deep, slow breath and lets it out. "Superman makes it look so easy."

Then he starts to scan the water and the debris with his x-ray vision, looking to see if anyone was caught unaware the by sudden influx of water. Fortunately, it seems that everyone had already cleared out of the area when the fighting began.

Superboy stumbles just briefly, just for a moment. The overcast conditions are making it difficult for him to regain his energy reserves. But as his father taught him, you stand until the fight is done.

<<Superboy checking in.>>

"Rao, I have change that code name," he murmurs to himself.

Felicity Smoak has posed:
Felicity's eyes go wide when Silverdane hesitates instead of going for the Turtle, but she couldn't just pull the drones back out without putting her at risk again!

<< "Get him, Silverdane!" >>

And, if you can't beat them, join them. So, instead of fighting it, Felicity leans into it. A couple of the drones race past Silverdane like they were thrown, headed straight for The Turtle. Lure, much?

Another one of the saucer-drones flies over to the downed figure of The Top and Bunny beside him. The water, fortunately, turned out to be a splash from the crash of the big boomerang-plane and the vault, but not the roading tidal wave of a comet cratering into the bay.

<< "Nice. Water.. looks like it was more of a shower than a disaster. You can leave the Top if you need to. I've got the done on motion detection and tagged for the authorities." >>

<< "Nice work, Superboy. Glad you're okay. I've got drones hovering just above the splash down of the plane and the vault. They shouldn't be hard to find. Barry, how are you holding up? Freeze ray should be... head to Wonder Woman! See if you can lead Tar Pit straight to her! She should have a clear shot." >>

Belinda Gutierrez has posed:
Just like that, time and speed reassert themselves; Silverdane stumbles forward, snapping instinctively at where one of the flying drones were. "Next time!" she promises under her breath, the blush on her cheeks hidden (just) by thick fur. Heartbeats to adjust-- with a second shake of her head, she twists, lunging again towards the Turtle. Mini flying saucers slow to a crawl as she dives in; eyes widening beneath the green hoodie, he desperately turns, fingers quivering in gesture--

No time for subtlety: the werewolf utterly tackles the unfortunate villain to the ground, snarling as she reaches for the gesturing hand, seizing arm and wrist in a clawed, ferocious grip.

"Freeze!" she snarls down at him, hot breath and sharp-toothed maw inches from the villain's nose. She tightens her grip, eyes narrowing as she glares down atr the pinned Rogue. "Let them go, or-- no nose. Then, no fingers!" She winces, groaning as her stomach emits a positively heinous growl. Hungry. So *hungry*. Vibrating as her body quivers, she reaches back to the hidden utility pouches under her sash (pockets!), counting briefly back before she opens one, withdrawing a shaky handful of thick ziptie cords. "Have right to be quiet," she growls. "Anything said will be taken as assent to eat--!"

She pauses, blinking as the comms reassert themselves in turn, squealing proteste finally sorting itself back to normal signals. << "--Que? Silverdane checking in. Got him!" >> Long pause. << "Overwatch, I... food. Sugar. Lots of it, need pronto! /Where?/" >>

Barry Allen has posed:
The Top is quite clearly out of commission and while Captain Boomerang might still be conscious, he is clearly in no shape to fight back. He's not in much shape to do anything at all, really, practically clinging to Impulse as the speedster races them off that giant flying wing and across the surface of the water towards Superboy - and the hopefully the shore above.

Though given how green he looks, there is still a pretty good chance that Digger upchucks all over poor Impulse.

Given how fast Bart is, they reach the shoreline before that swell of water has the chance to, that rolling wave of water bearing down on the nearby waterfront, threatening to swamp the boardwalk. At first the people gathered there don't seem to realize just how much trouble they are potentially in, watching the spectacle. At least until that dark, rolling wave gets closer, the swell continuing to rise.

It might not be a tidal wave, but it doesn't have to be to do a whole lot of damage and threaten to catch the unaware in a precarious position.

For just a moment Lisa Snart's lips curl into a smile as she watches that ice start to wash over Wonder Woman, start to coat her bracer. "Yeah, who's so special now Princess," she calls out tauntingly, upping the setting a little higher. Which is when Diana finally counters, those bracers slamming together and sending a storm of ice shards right back where they came from. Glider yelps and tries to throw up a wall of ice in front of her, managing just in time as those ice shards embed in it.

Then the wall is completely blown apart as that wave of force hits it, knocking the golden-haired criminal off her feet and sending that Freeze Ray flying? only to be snagged out of mid-air by Wonder Woman's lasso.

The Turtle actually does start to hurry now as those drones continue to harash him, waving his hand behind him, trying to ward them off. It's not as if it is complete unsuccessful really, each time he gestures at them they do slow and he puts a little distance between them. But his gait is rather lumbering. From those caught up in his 'field of slow' he might appear to be moving fast, but from the outside? He looks like an older, heavy-set man moving just a little faster then slow motion himself.

Still, preoccupied with those drones he doesn't notice Silverdane's pouncing approach until it's too late. Again eyes widen, a look of panic sliding over his features as he tries to bring his hand up. And? is too slow, finding himself knocked to the pavement below, pinned beneath the much bigger, much faster werewolf, arms grappled. For a moment he continues to squirm - right up until she suggests eating him is on the table. That gets him to surrender real fast as she begins to bind him.

For his part Barry continues to work to continue to distract Tarpit, to keep him occupied and way from any civilians, always staying just a step or two ahead of him. At least until Diana lays her hands on the Freeze Ray at any rate. Then his hands come up once more, spinning rapidly as a pair of whirling vortexes slam into the living mass of tar and greatly slow down his forward momentum. "Diana, freeze him in place! Impulse can deal with whatever is left of the wave," he says confidently.

It's time to wrap this up.

Diana Prince has posed:
Even after her dramatic landing, Diana is up quickly to her full height again. Her eyes stare around the avenue with a look of fierce determination as she wields that ice weapon now. She takes in the chaos, but ultimately is called upon by Barry's shouting voice, and she answers the call.

It takes the Princess a second to look down at the ice rifle before she can ascertain its operating basics. Once she has it figured out she levels the weapon like a standard rifle-- she being trained in firearms is a little known secret, but one earned over 100 years of being in Man's World.

Thwumthwumthwumthwumthwum!

The Ice weapon begins to unleash upon that of Tar-Pit's form, wave after wave of the brightly glowing icy chemicals that work to rapidly freeze the gooy monster man into a more solidly definite form!

The Princess just side steps slowly to the left as she continues to shoot at Tar-Pit, the gun rapidly emitting steam in to the warm summer Metropolis night as Wonder Woman pours the ice energy in to the villains frame!

Bunny Macleod has posed:
<Meals on Wheels coming up, Silverdane! Hope you like Strawberry Sugar Bombs!> comes Prisma's cheery voice as she comes on by, hopping along on a couple of platforms before she hops a railing, grinding her skates against it and delivers a box of super sugary strawberry cereal bars with CARBS FOR ENERGY! scribed right on the box.

    They're marked 'TOMMY'S'.

    He probably won't mind.

The pink-haired skater skids to a stop near Silverdane, looks at the werewolf and states "Wild night, huh?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks to the two on the beach and says "Watch him." he points to Boomer and then he is off. The young man will move to the beach front and back and forth up and down the sand as fast as he can, soon a blur as he is trying to build up air pressure and send it back against the wave to cancel it out. The young man keeps it up and soon the water hits the air and most of it is stopped, just splashing up to about Bart's knees, and he bends over and is breathing heavily hands on his knees. He then dives into the water to wash off his back before shaking himself dry and heading to the boardwalk. He grabs a couple dozen hotdogs leaving money for them and heads back to Superboy, a dozen hotdogs done ate and he offers Jon one and even offers Boomer one.

Felicity Smoak has posed:
<< ".../Sugar/? Like.. a /Hostess/ truck? Because if your superpower is being able to eat an entire truck full of Hostess Cupcakes without consequences, I /so/ just found a new power to be jealous of." >>

Suddenly, one of Felicity's screen is entirely consumed with an array of Hostess treats, and a man's voice can be heard very faintly in the background.

<< "What? No. Honey. I thought dessert was wonderful. I'm just saying that, if I had a superpower, there would be worse ones than being able to eat a truck full of Hostess and still be able to fit into all of my clothes.... No, it's muted. I checked... What light?... Oh, I am! Sorry, guys. Silverdane, it sounds like you found sugar. If you still need me to find you a Hostess truck, I can track one for you.. and live vicariously through you. I'm just saying." >>

Pause.

<< "Everyone else, I've updated MPD. Authorities and paramedics are en route. Drones are marking downed bad guys as well as the location of the submerged vault. I'll stay online to for the..." >> Pause. << "..I'll send last status updates to MPD. Ping me if you need me. I'll get the notification on my cell. Barry, call me later. We'll have you up to the new place. Well.. the new temporary place. It's.. more like an Arrowsuite than an Arrowcave. Not that we call it that. I mean.. Oliver doesn't. Okay, Overwatch out." >>

Belinda Gutierrez has posed:
Silverdane works quickly, trying hard to keep fumbling fingers under control. It takes a few more tries than normal; as she trusses Turtle up with agonizing slowness, stepping back once she is certain he can't escape... and probably with a lot more ties than is strictly necessary. Stepping back from the elderly man, she falls to her haunches, kneeling down as he pants. Hungry. /So/---

<< YES! >> comes the gruff exclamation-- and seconds later, the Sugary Savior is here! Manners are for when one is not ravenous, starving-- Silverdane tears the top straight from the box, tilting it back and gobbling the contents wholesale. Big mouth, big eater-- crumbs drift over her torso as she munches with savage gusto. "Mrry wilfe nit," she explains daintily. Sadly, not pausing from munching madness as she finishes the box's contents, tearing it open to lick at the inside for residual sugar. "Thank you," she adds, no longer quiet quivering, but still in one place. "Dios. Need to eat all the things, still!" She pauses, glancing at the Turtle. "....though not him. I am sorry I said that, sir."

Barry Allen has posed:
That onrush of water is met by Bart's tactic of building up the air pressure with the rapid back and forth along the shoreline, the wave essentially meeting a wall and breaking upon it, dissipating outward with no damage to the city -- or to those on the boardwalk. More then a few people cheer Impulse and Superboy, their evening saved.

At least until it starts to rain, the clounds finally breaking open and bringing on the downpour as the crowd starts racing for cover. Distant rumblings of thunder crack dully over the city and a distant burst of lightning lights up the evening sky once more.

Digger doesn't seem very grateful either and when Bart offers him that hotdog, the Aussie thief finally loses it. 'It' being his lunch. As a puddle of vomit congeals on the sand, he rubs the back of his hand across his mouth. "Sorry mate," he apologizes.

The Turtle is bound and pretty much unmoving while both Golden Glider and the Top lay limply, sprawled across the pavement, pretty much unconscious and watched over by the drones that Overwatch has commandeered, From LexCrop.

There may come an accounting for that.

But for now, it is only Tar Pit that roams free. And Barry and Diana seem to have it well in hand. With those whirlwinds slowing him, all but holding him in place, Tar Pit has little chance to dodge out of the way when that Freeze Ray lashes out from Diana, beginning to coat him in layers and layers of ice. The being composed entirely of sentient tar begins to slow, finally brought to a complete standstill. And finally Barry drops his arms back to his side. "Whew. Great job everyone. I think that's everyone. I mean, practically everyone," the Flash says over the comms.

Well, save all the evil speedsters. But he so doesn't need that kind of trouble too, on top of everything else. He is pretty sure that he heard Bunny say something about a 'monkey'. And that gives him a bit of a sinking feeling already.
