Hank Hall is a bike cop (formerly) from Washington D.C. When he was a teenage he was given power by a Lord of Chaos to become one half of the team: Hawk and Dove. As Hawk, Hank worked alongside his twin brother and the Titans until his brother's death. After he turned away from that aspect of his life and fled back to DC. But unforeseen circumstances have brought him back to Metropolis and back to the team he abandoned all those years ago.

Timeline:
*1994: Born in Washington D.C to a single mother with his twin brother Don Hall.

*2004: Both brothers accepted to Elmond Prep--a private school--on a scholarship. Hank becomes star wide receiver for the football team. Is subjected to sexual abuse from the coach of the team (in order to protect Don.)

*2007: Mother dies of cancer. The boys are put into the foster system.

*2008: After following one of their foster siblings who was in with drug runners, the boys find themselves locked in a closet. They are presented with a choice by a Lord of Chaos (T'Charr) and a Lord of Order (Terataya). They accept the power offered by the beings and become Hawk and Dove.

*2012: Hank and Don join the Titans shortly after the Alien Alliance invasion under the suggestion of Dick Grayson, who they had worked with on occasion.

*2017: Hank is severely injured during the Doomsday invasion. After three weeks in a medical coma he awakens to find his brother dead, the Titans disbanded, and the city in shambles.

*2017: Hank gets out of the hospital, leaves his things in a burned box outside Titans Tower and goes back to Washington D.C.

*2018: Hank becomes a cop with the Metro Police. Part of the bicycle division. He keeps a low profile, but manages to move through the ranks rather quickly. He ignores the pull of the Lord of Chaos in him telling him something of import is waiting for him to in New York and then London.

*2021: Hank is transfered to the Metropolis PD in an officer exchange system between DC, Gotham, New York, and Metropolis.

Personality

Headstrong:
Hank is stubborn to a fault. Even when he knows he is wrong, he will often dig in his heels and double down on whatever his view on a topic may be. This often leads him to arguments, which he seems to enjoy.

Hot Headed:
Hank has a hair trigger fuse. He seems almost ready to leap to anger (and subsequently violence) at the first sign of a conflict. His anger burns long, too. Unless some calming element manages to distract him or helps him get a handle on it, he is likely to hold on to the anger for an undue amount of time.

Lifelong Jock:
hank has been involved in sports since before he was a teenager. His focus has always been football, but the man just loves any sport. Between the competition, the possibility of violence, and the arguements that can come from rivalries, he drinks it up. Be it live, virtual, or imaginary (fantasy leagues) he will engage with almost any aspect of sports if he can.

Politically Active:
Hank is a politically active guy and isn't afraid to share his views on a number of topics. His political stances tend to lean very far left; radically liberal. He is a card carrying member of ANTIFA and firmly believes that in order for change to happen a few eggs (read: heads) may need to be broken.

Character Sheet

Powers

Avatar of Chaos:
Under very rare circumstances Hawk can become a direct conduit of the Lord of Chaos, T'Charr. This is not something he has any conscious control over as it is the Lord of Chaos acting directly through him, and would only occur when plot (and scene runner) demands a whole lot of pure chaos energy to come into play.

Claws:
Once transformed, Hawk gains a set of claws, five on each hand. These claws are able to rip through light metals and most flesh with relative ease.

Danger Transformation:
When in the presence of danger, whether to himself or others, Hank Hall can call out the word "Hawk" and be transformed into his Hawk form. He does not need to be aware of the danger for the transformation to take place, so if he happened to say the word while unknowingly being in danger, the transformation would take place. The transformation only reacts to actual danger, so if Hank incorrectly believed that he was in danger he would be unable to transform into Hawk. The transformation lasts until Hank can regain control of his limitless rage. It is unknown how close to the danger he needs to be to transform. On high magic worlds he can remain as Hawk for extended periods regardless of whether there is any danger present.

Enhanced Body Density:
In the event that Hakw does take a direct physical strike, his body density feels more like that of an immovable object (steel wall) than that of a physical being.

Enhanced Speed:
Hawk is afforded a greater than human speed when transformed. He can dodge thrown projectiles and heavy caliber bullets.

Extreme Durability:
If Hawk is ever hit his costume and skin are highly impervious to damage and while bullets and blades still hurt him they will not pierce his skin.

Flight:
When transformed into Hawk, Hank is able to fly for unlimited amounts of time unaided. He is not as agile as Dove in this state but it does afford him the agility and ease associated with his namesake.

Healing Factor:
If Hawk takes sustained damage then his body can heal quickly from damage. Reducing bullet wounds and scars to full health in a manner of hours.

Hypervigilance:
As Hawk his discerning skills are enhanced. His ability to discern the motivations of people and situations are greatly improved. This allows him to, within seconds, act and react to danger accordingly.

Increased Agility:
While nowhere near the level of poise as Dove, Hawk does have an uncanny bodily coordination and equilibrium. He is able to move and roll with any aggression he takes so much as to not land on his rear in a fight. Something akin to the grace of birds, even when he is pushed away by an energy beam he lands on his feet.

Super Strength:
Hawk, while transformed possesses incredible strength. He is just sub that the Man of Steel and can go to toe to with many of the strongest foes in existence.

Unlimited Stamina:
Hawk does not have a stop button. Regardless of how much strain or exertion he takes he will not stop until a task is complete. The need for food, water, or rest is not known to him while transformed.

Skills

Advanced Hand To Hand:
Between his training as a police officer and his own interest in learning different ways to fight, Hank has learned a wide selection of physical skills that can be use to hurt others either offensively of defensively.

Firearms:
His work in political extremism put Hank in contact with a number of gun enthusiasts. While being Hawk gives him the necessary tools to dispatch foes manually, he is not above using a variety of firearms he is trained in to do so.

Legal Protocol:
As a member of the DC Metro (and now Metropolis) police, he is versed in the legal protocols and hurdles that many police officers must handle when working a beat.

Resources

Apartment:
Hank has an apartment he just moved into at Atlas Metropolis Apartments it's a bit more spacious than one would expect a bachelor to have but it affords him space and freedom away from the trials of life and the work of a beat cop.

Munitions:
Hank has acquired (through completely legal means) a small cache of firearms. Most are legal ARs, pistols, and revolvers. With the weapons themselves comes ample ammunition to provide at least a few field misisons with the weapons should the need arise.

Weaknesses

Addict:
Hank has a habit of indulging in addictive behavior as a means of coping with his anger and grief. This has led to him becoming both a compulsive gambler and an alcoholic. Both will need to be worked on to bring him back from the darkness within himself.

Calming Dove:
Without Dove's level headed and mystical connection, Hawk will often fly into a berserk rage of unlimited time. This has led to confrontations with his teammates in the past leaving them little recourse but to subdue him by any means necessary.

Grief:
Don's death tore out a part of Hank that he will never be able to fully recover from and memories of his brother often lead to outbursts of rage or depression that requires him to collect himself from.

Lords of Chaos:
While his direct interaction is with T'Charr other Lords of Chaos can utilize his power when they see fit. Often they will try to foil the actions of the Lords of Order by using Hawk as a pawn in their machinations.
