The Beacons Are Lit, Pezzini Calls for Aid!
Date of Scene: 03 May 2023
Location: Warehouses in Stamford, Connecticut
Synopsis: What happens at Demon fight club stays with... no, not really, but when the JLD and allies show up to aid Agents of SHIELD, some how a fallen angel ends up used as a weapon against a demon.
Cast of Characters: Sara Pezzini, Mary Jane Watson, Sybil Tan, Michael Hannigan, Robbie Reyes, Phoebe Beacon, Tynan Ireton

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Two warehouses of moderate size sit next to each other in Stamford, Connecticut... one the target of investigation by Agents Sybil Tan and Mary Jane Watson, the other containing a heat signature bright enough to light up thermal goggles like the forth of July and yet wasn't burning down. How that was possible was part of the mystery being faced by the Agents of SHIELD.

Agent Sara Pezzini had remained outside of both to send out a call to members of the Justice League Dark and their allies for assistance. If Witchblade couldn't sense the magics flowing through the warehouses then clearly something was going on that required more knowledgeable users of the arcane arts... or at least some serious back up. The message was a simple one, both via phone and Witchblade screaming through the aether at whom ever might listen: Possible loose demons in Connecticut, assistance requested, get here ASAP.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson is currently entering out of the place with Sybil. She has an annoyed look over on it as she departs. This is the sort of thing that feels like it's been a complete waste of time - likely as she has not the slightest idea of what's going on. SO now iwth thier quick 'talk' session over as the duo are moving again, her expression betrays irritation.

Something is completely amiss here, and she can't understand what's about.

Sybil Tan has posed:
Exiting the warehouse with Mary Jane, Sybil looks to be deep in thought, but seems to notice something amiss as she looks around. It was not dark when they stepped inside, nor were all the additional people here. She nudges MJ and asks, "So have you noticed it's suddenly gotten dark out?"

She heads over to Sara, asking "So how long were we in there?" as she draws near the Witchblade wielder. She's fairly sure Sara's answer is going to be a good deal different then she experienced.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Sara may have called for more knowledgeable users of the arcane arts but what she ended up getting was the $10 grab bag of mystics. You don't know what you're going to get but you usually get one good item that might be worth that amount and a few random things that just didn't sell when shoppers had the choice.

And that is how Mike ended up in the group that ended up here. Because he certainly isn't here for his detection capabilities. Who knows what on earth Sara was thinking calling his number.

...It's the dragon thing.

Definitely, the dragon thing.

Either way, the musician pops out of nowhere, dressed down in the low cost attire that the racks of Goodwill have provided to him. Spotting Pezzini, he walks over to her. "You rang?"

Robbie Reyes has posed:
Reyes hasn't been such a fixture around the JLD of late. Closed lipped as always about the reasons why, but Nettie's probably smart enough to figure out that it's got something to do with his brother.

Nevertheless, when SHIELD tapped him not as a member of the Avengers -- which is what he'd expected when he got the encrypted message -- but rather the JLD? Well, his curiosity got the better of him. Demon hunting isn't something he'd claim expertise in, but on account of kind of *being* one-- well, in a manner of speaking, anyway. Suffice to say that he agreed to show up.

No armour today; just his usual snug black jeans with the shredded knees, scuffed combat boots and a faded tee, and his battered leather jacket with the racing stripe.

He climbs out of the Charger with a jangle of keys, shuts the door, and immediately starts patting himself down for something. "I got time for a smoke?" he asks Sara with complete seriousness.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Arriving with Robbie in the Charger was a familiar face, though neither SHIELD nor JLD. Turns out she had a similar invite on account that she happens to be good at fighting the demons, and is at least in the $15 grab bag. She arrives wearing shit kicker boots and an open black jacket showing a tee with a spooky scary skeleton pondering a butterfly, and closes the door moderately more gently than Robbie after pulling her beat-up leather bag out of the back seat and slinging it over her shoulder. Her hair's currently all tucked into a skullcap, but the mage gives a little smile to Robbie as he questions about a smoke. She gives an up-nod to Pezzini, and a slightly uncomfortable look to the SHIELD agents.

"Heard there was a demon problem?" she asks, looking up and over the warehouses and Mike, to whom she offers a fist-bump.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Tynan was at home, prepping for a job when she got the notice. The woman takes a deep breath before she gets to work on gathering her gear. Its fairly simple. The merc puts on her armored cargos, her tac vest, and her sleeveless cowled longcoat. She puts her half facemask on, and her special charmed boots. She's been charging them for a minute. She puts on her armored gauntlet with the energy shield. God only knows what she's walking into. As for weapons...Well, Ty likes to bring the weapon locker with her. She places a few toys in her subspace, but leaves out her 1911MA1s, holstering them, as well as a ka-bar knife that she slides into a sheathe in the small of her back. The woman grabs a case marked as "OSG" and places it in a special carrying case for the case on her Ducati Street fighter.

Tynan arrives, taking in a few quite breathes, and does a quick salt circle around her bike, before setting the bike alarm. The woman walks in, and takes a deep breath. She takes a deep breath, and does a silent chant, activating the charm in her boots. As she steps, she sends out a small pulse of weak magical energy, more or less just a ping, but it sends back the info to her. A magical sonar/radar spell. The woman doesn't say anything, but those in JLD know that she's Nettie's former student/Merc with JLD. Her eyes are cold and focused, ready for a fight.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
The panic Pezzini was experiencing was real. No matter what she had tried, aside from out right destroying the building, she had been unable to reach Tan and Watson for over forty-five minutes. She'd flown around the building numerous times, tried 'knocking' on the walls, even tried breaking a window (that failing had pissed Witchblade off to no end) and here they were just strolling out like nothing happened.

Zipping down to land beside them as they appear she blurts out, "Are you alright?!" only then hearing what Tan says. "Forty-five minutes, technically forty-three but close enough."

Already in full armor, well what Witchblade considered 'full armor' when there was no clear and present threat... the wings on her back folded up as the others started to arrive. "Hey Mike," she offered to him first, indicating the other warehouse, not the one Tan and Watson were standing outside of. "Something not right about that place... no magical signature at all and it's pissing Witchblade off." Though really, he was pissed a lot of the time anyway, so what was new about that?

"Smoke away Robbie," she then said, already turning more toward the other warehouse. The swirling red stone on the gauntlet was fiery with oranges and yellows, the 'eye' open to look at each person as they arrived, but what the ancient entity might be saying, Sara wasn't sharing.

"Let me sum this up..." she then began, looking to each person who had shown up. "Some of you may have heard about the demons in Central Park a short time ago, some perhaps not." Again, a gesture to the magically void warehouse not far from their location. "Four teenagers are presently locked in comas at the Triskelion because of this, and are all linked through the computer network inside that building. I could spend an hour on a briefing, but I'll get right to the point... thermal imaging shows massive heat inside there, but clearly the place isn't burning down. I believe we need to take that place apart, brick by brick, to free those kids from the influence of whatever it is that has a hold of them. Any questions?"

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
The group coming over and out are ones that stir some recollection over in Mary Jane's mind - for the couple that she's read the files of or possibly met. She goes to put up a smile, "Sounds like Gondor came for aid." She would deadpan over to Sara. "And not going to risk any warrants for indecent exposure?" The woman wearing the SHIELD Agent field armor with a vastly oversized broadsword sheathed over on her back and then listen to Sara going on. Magic.. Why did it have to be magic?

Her expression is generally neutral now and contemplatively. "Stab everyone inside, find the kids, leave a couple left to dig up information from, level the place." That's the simple version as far as she's concerned. Her weaponry might not do much necessarily against demons, but Sonja didn't particularly care. Just that she got to stab without having to worry. Then she goes to slowly jab her finger over at the two refugees from the Heffner estate to Sybil.

Sybil Tan has posed:
Following MJ's gesture, Sybil raises an eyebrow. "Ok, now I know they were inside when we left, and I didn't see them go past us, so how are they over there?" She says to Sara, "The two in the bunny suits have something to do with this. Pretty sure there's a demon in the warehouse we were just in that doesn't have the heat signature."

She looks around to see if anything else was different than it should be given the amount of time that's gone by. "Ok, so we have one magically heated warehouse, one with a demon and his bunny groupies in it, and Christ I hate dealing with this magical shit. Give me an alien invasion any day of the week."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The explanation to the building aggravating the Whichblade gets a bit of a brow raise.

Hearing familiar voices, Mike turns his head to look over towards Robbie and Phoebe. There's the slight inkling of a smirk as the musician lifts up his balled hand to bump against the offered one. "Been awhile." He greets.

He looks to Robbie, offering him a nod in greeting before looking back to Sara as she gives the summary of what's going on. "I've been traveling a bit recently. Are we talking about the Dragon in the park one or was there another incident?"

Robbie Reyes has posed:
Mike gets a hitch of his chin in greeting once Robbie spots the musician. He'll let Phoebe do the talking, though, since his mouth is busy with the clove he's trying to get to catch a spark. Sure, he could cheat; but there might be normies about.

"So there's a demon--" He wrinkles his freckled nose as he thinks about that, eyes on one of the warehouses. "--maybe more'n one, by the smell of it." He drags off his cigarette, tries again: "There's demons in there, and you want us to take the place apart? Why not just nuke it from orbit?" The question seems genuine.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"... Gondor called for aid." Phoebe corrects gently, fist bumping Mike as she catches that smirk, and her eyebrows rise a moment at the look "and Rohan has answered. Sup Mike."

She gives a smile Mary Jane, to Ty and to Sybil as she gives a nod without introduction, and she brings the other strap for her bag over her shoulder, looks to Robbie, and she looks to Sara and Witchblade, and then in the direction that the 'rabbits' were in, and she furrows her brows a moment as she looks to Robbie "I think because of the spiritual selves of the teenagers; they're probably inside in some sort of holding pattern." she turns back to Sara

"Looks like the Wrecking Crew is well covered; you want me on Recovery? I can try to get to the kids and strengthen the connection, or at least stop any corruption."

    She makes a face

"Not sure what you're seeing with the bunny suits. Probably won't know until I see them myself." she comments quietly, and runs her hands over her cap before she rolls her shoulders.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty just looks at the building. She crouches down, and studies the buildings. The woman remains silent as she nods her head to Sara a little bit. The woman looks around, studying the area as well, trying to trace power lines and telephone lines. She takes a moment to look at Sara. "Seige tactics, or breach and clear? I'm looking for the power lines and phone lines. Should I clear those from the buildings as well?", she asks. The woman takes a deep breath. The tone is professional. Ty nods to Phoebe. Its ben a long time since she's seen Phoebe.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
A nod is offered to Mike regarding the dragon question, "One in the same. There have been no other sighting, no other occurrences since then. We found three other teenagers who were part of the cause for Central Park, but they were already in comas. I think the only reason the young man we found there wasn't in one to begin with was you, but he is now."

Her attention shifts to Robbie and Phoebe, an answer shared for the both of them. "Because we don't know what's inside there, like Miss Beacon says. Nuking it from orbit could be equal to trying to put out a fire with gasoline, so until we have more information, we need to do this by hand. Its the safest way to handle the situation."

The two Bunny girls that are only visible to Sybil and Mary Jane wave at them, then gesture for them to 'come closer' to where they are standing... which appears to be by a white SUV in the same parking lot as the warehouse they are standing outside of.?"I don't see anyone in bunny suits Sybil," Sara says with some concern in her tone, and it is that moment that she realizes... she's in charge of this whole thing.

"Well... fuck," she breaths out, then runs her left hand through her hair, the right one is busy being a gauntlet. "Step one, obtain access to the interior of the warehouse. Step two, determine what is causing the heat signature that Agent Tan's thermal optics is picking up." There is a pause there, because she was speaking out loud the over all plans and needed to gather it all up.

She offers Ty a nod and finally gets to an answer to her question, "Until we are certain how the teens are linked, if in fact they are, we can't risk cutting power or blowing anything up... so once the first two steps are achieved, we'll determine from there the what the next step is." Walking over to where her jacket had been left in a shreds on the ground, she removes a small pouch from it then walks back to start passing out communication units to those who don't already have one. "Stay in contact with one another, let me know what you are doing, if you're injured expect healing, and for the love of all the gods... please try to work with each other?"

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
After the two 'Bunnies' get her attention Mary Jane nods over to Sybil in agreement, "Yeah." SHe wuold look over at the magic users, "There's.. Something over in that direction that I'm guessing is like magically hidden or only visible to us. If youc an.." Throw some magic over there to make them visible for the rest of you? That's probably her phrase. Does magic work that way? Can they do it?

Mary Jane's hand is over on the large sword on ehr back, but not unsheathing it yet. "So how can we break it? And can we just smash our way inside or set it on fire?" Magic probably does not work that way.

Sybil Tan has posed:
At the indications that nobody else can see the bunnies, Sybil turns to MJ and shakes her head. "Great, only we can see them. That makes it all so much better." Yeah, the sarcasm is pretty clear on that one. "So, should we stroll over and see what the figments of our imagination want? I think there's enough magical power here to at least start without us."

Hardly waiting for an answer, she starts heading over to see what the bunnies want. It's not like she'd be much use unravelling the magic in the warehouse anyway, so might as well find out.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike frowns at the news. "He slipped into one too?" He asks, not really expecting Sara to repeat herself. There's a brief pause as he considers something, "...Any chance I could see them later?"

When the comm is offered, he takes setting it to his ear, glancing to Mary Jane as she talks about seeing rabbits that no one else can. He looks over to the indicated direction. Growing still, he stares for a few moments. His mouth parts slightly before he blinks, shaking it off.

He looks back to Mary Jane and Sybil "Not quite getting that but-...Did either of you guys walk through something you'd call 'dream-like' earlier?"

Robbie Reyes has posed:
The communicator is accepted, and briefly turned over in Robbie's hand. His mismatched eyes tick back up to Sara for a moment as she moves off, and then over to Phoebe. "I'm gonna do a walkabout. Might be somethin' out here waiting to pick us off."

A couple more hasty drags off his clove, and then it's flicked away and ground out with the toe of his boot. An arm's slung around the girl's waist and a lingering kiss dropped to her temple. "I'll come find you in a few minutes." He winks. "Be good."

And then he cracks his neck and prowls off, muttering into his communicator, "Probando probando uno, dos, tres--"

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Tynan takes the communicator. "Comm test, 1, 2. Comm test.", she says. The woman takes a moment to stretch out. The merc takes a moment to steel her mind, and thinks about her training at the Griffin. And the fact that her last major fight with anything magical ended up with her getting stabbed by a possessed Barbie. "Is the area at least cleared in case we need to cause major damage?", she asks.

"To be honest, I don't see anything. Which is nothing odd. My magic pulses arn't picking up anything either. Sounds like an illusion. Wonder what the magical draw is.", she says. The woman takes a moment to think, and draws one of her pistols, holding it in low draw. "I can go distance if you want to look out from outside the building. Something is nagging me about getting close..."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe was not expecting the sudden affection from Robbie as she prepared herself "I can definitely feel them. It's not exactly like Sandalphon but --" she begins, and then she's pulled into a loose hip-check and she gives a squeak of a sound as Robbie kisses her temple, and she huffs, and slips the communicator over her ear.

"/You/ be safe." she huffs a light squeeze to his waist as he cracks his neck, and she cracks her fingers.

"All right. Let's shed some light on the subject "

Phoebe brings her left hand up. The white encircling tattoo on it glows dimly.

"Dimitte lucem meam, ostende invisibilia" <Release my light and show the unseen> she whispers, trying to see for herself what she is feeling in their forms.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
The gentle breeze seems to pick up and start moving the air in the parking lot, carrying with it a slight chill from the sun having set. On any other night it would be a great night for a walk, or a romantic carriage ride through Central Park, but tonight the chill just added to the already creepy vibe.

As Sybil and Mary Jane approach the location where they see Bunny One and Bunny Two waving them over a series of things happen all at the same time. First, a wave of blinding light washes out from the bunnies, over everyone and across the warehouses permitting those capable of feeling magic to once again actually feel it in the area.

Second, as the light fades, Sybil and Mary Jane suddenly appear to Mike, Tynan and Sara as if /they/ are bunny girls previously mentioned. Tighter fitting white and gray furry costumes, complete with hoods over their heads that have HUGE bunny ears standing up on top of them. They don't see themselves that way of course, that would be far too easy. What Phoebe sees is another matter entirely. Her spell illuminates exactly what happens in that second moment. The sensations she was getting spread across the two Agents of SHIELD, enveloping them in a cocoon of white light that when it fades, leaves them with what looks like white feather wings on their back and slender, hooded and robed figure standing between them.

Third... when the light fades out and vision is restored, there is no sign of Sara and the Witchblade anywhere in the area... there however a horrendous, agonizing scream of something large in pain as the very walls of the second ware house start to crack open like an egg with yellow/orange light breaking out and spreading across the parking lot.

Thaz waits just a few more minutes then realizes the jig is up when he feels the magic from Phoebe. With a soft sigh he fully fades into the vision of those present and says, "Sorry mates, you were taking too long... time to get proactive and deal with Ezran already."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would go to take her hand over to her sword, "Now, go ahead and tell us. You could have been up front with that in the first place. I suggestyou get a lot more proactive now before I decide to give you incentive on being more cooperative." She would glower over at him menacingly, her voice lowering in pitch to something hissing.

"And I'm very good at giving incentives." Her tone turns harsh and twisted over, as she goes to take a step towards him.

Her body language changes, becoming tighter, omre compressed. Almost feral in nature. Hunching over ever slightly as her hand rests on her sword, the other on her hip. "Now talk, wizard. Before I grow impatient." Tone of voice has changed. Body language has changed. Posture has changed.

Sybil Tan has posed:
Blinking in the aftermath of the burst of light, Sybil shakes her head a little. "I knew I should have left the helmet on. That was kind of painful."

As Thaz fades into view, her left gauntlet reconfigures into it's cannon mode. At least she's keeping it down at her side for the moment, not directly threatening the being who suddenly showed up between her and MJ. "Maybe you should explain just a bit before we go running into anything. Like, who or what is Ezran, and what your connection to all this is."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mike nods slowly, glancing back to the building before bringing his hands together into a slight prayer formation. Eyes close for a few moments as he murmurs some words lowly in a rhythmic manner. To those close enough, paying attention, and familiar with his work, they might pick out a few lyrics to Deprive. To those more prone to picking out names, there's the mention of Raphael. To those who are more focused on the visual, the general Jacob's ladder effect forming as he pulls his hands apart before it snaps over to one hand is probably hint enough of something.

Oh this is some ser-

Mike brings the hand up to his head, a bolt of static arcs from the hand to his head, giving the loud snap that comes with static shock.

THE HELL MIKE?!

Mike looks over to the white wings and then to Thaz, smile widening. "Hey. What happened to your wings? And, who the hell is Ezran?"

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe's eyes narrow a moment as she braces herself for some Ill Visions the like she's handled before. Thaz appears, and she sucks in a breath as she runs through information in her head.

"Thaz and Ezran, two of a triple-demon set." she turns back to the warehouse, which has just opened up behind them. HEr eyes, with their ring of rose gold still visible narrow at the angel, and she points "Luckily, you're you. He can't affect the other two, needs others to take them out. If you mess with them again, I *will* send you back." Phoebe states, and the burbling up of anger in her manifests as a little tick of her lips.

"If the Ghost Rider doesn't do it first."

    She turns to the others.

"Pez probably needs our help, and we need to recover those teens." the former leader of the JLD states, and she turns to do exactly what she was here to do, bolting towards the now opened warehouse.

    "This is gonna suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck."

Former leader, currently still a teenager.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty blinks a few times as she watches everything unfold. She frowns a little bit. "...More demons. Guess I get to work on my enchantments this time.", the merc goes. Tynan sighs a little bit, as she stands up, but keeps the gun at low ready. She takes a deep breath as she preps herself. She doesn't have much she can really do at the moment, so she stands at the ready.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Thaz looks between Sybil and Mary Jane, offering a toothy grin to the both of them right up until Phoebe 'outs' him. That's just rude, but it is what it is... a fallen angel can only stay in the closet for so long, right?

"I have not harmed a single human," he states with a snort, but Phoebe is already running toward the danger. That leaves him with the two Agents, right there, threatening him.

"Do you two want the long, full explanation or the short short version?" he then asks them before he waggles his brows, puts his hands on his hips and continues with. "I fell from heaven a very long time ago, landed on two others with attitude problems and we've been stuck together ever since. I can't be seen outside of my pocket dimension, aka out here, without being connected to two human souls, aka you two."

Looking toward the warehouse he hmms softly before adding, "Ezran is an idiot, he /still/ doesn't expect anyone in this realm to be able to touch him... you two," he again gestures to the agents. "In fact /all/ of you, right now you have my blessing, which means your hands, swords, bullets, etc. can hurt him and all the other demons. In fact, go forth and slay, maim, murder... just be careful, those kids are in there some place."

With all that said he...s stand there. Apparently the part where he can't actually do anything to his siblings was also true. Eyeing Mike, as if he expected them all to just go running in like Phoebe he answers the man with, "My wings, oh, well that's a story for another time..." before a huge grin spreads across his face. "Okay, truth... they were burned off when I fell, reburn every time the sun rises and then one day they were like this. I'll never be forgiven for my crimes again The Almighty of course, but at least I can fly again, right?"

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Ther'es consideration from Red Sonja. He weighs nothing to them, he can bless things.. Then the twisted woman gets even more of a bit of glee over. "Come, we still have use for you." Then, she goes over towards the demonic/angelic individual that may or may not be more reasonable. He had still rather vexed her so this would count..

WIth a light grab, she would mvoe to pick up Thaz and twist him over her shoulder. "You, irritating one, shall serve as an excellent bludgeon in this battle to come." With that, the fallen angel is hopefully picked up over her shoulder like a giant mannequin as she goes to haul along towards the other demons.

Sybil Tan has posed:
Sybil tilts her head a little as Sonja comes out to pick up Thaz. She shrugs and turns for the warehouse the others are headed for. As she goes, she remarks "Guess this will be one way to find out if he can harm one of his brothers."

The helmet of her armor wraps around her head as she moves in, readying herself for combat. The cannon remains pointed at the ground for the moment, since there are no targets available yet. She remarks "This should be interesting." to nobody in particular and then breaks into a jog.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"Triple-demo- Well, that explains the singed portions." Mike comments, turning his head in the direction Phoebe runs. But as he looks to the warehouse, he frowns, turning his head to look in the general direction of New York before looking back to the warehouse. Thaz's warning regarding the kids being there somewhere, gets a nod. "I think I know where..."

He looks back over to Thaz, really wishing he gave the explanation prior to Phoebe just running off as such, he gets a general sense of guilt at cutting off the likely interesting story that he'd probably be wondering about later. "I'm sorry I asked at a bad time. Kids in trouble and all, talk later?" He offers, giving an apologetic look. His hand lifts up, thumb and pinkie extended to point to the ear and mouth respectively before he jogs back away from the angel, spinning to run towards the warehouse.

This already sucks.

Whelp here's hoping the blessing does work. Because otherwise his time is going to be pretty short in that warehouse if he's keeping an eye out for those tendrils. Too bad Mike wasn't paying attention when Sonja tries to fireman carry the fallen angel.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Yes explaination later, kids now --" Phoebe looks over her shoulder as Red Sonja is just ... carrying the angel with them and she almost trips on a brick --

"Are you bringing him along for /funsies/?!" Phoebe asks incredulously, but also -- somehow less than surprised. It's not the weirdest thing someone's done around her.

Phoebe pulls a few small, glass bottles of clear liquid that definitely have that Holy Water vibe to them, and she manifests her brilliant staff of light, the sun-colored staff DEFINITELY giving off that Magic Warrior flavor as she whispers her full release.

And now if you can sense magic, Phoebe is definitely a Beacon that is Lit Up with THE LIGHT.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty blinks at Pheobe a little bit, and shakes her head. The woman takes a moment to focus, and a little bit of a ghostly aura floats to her fingers. It forms something of a reddish well manicured finger, as the tip of the nail traces an odd pattern on her pistol. Those who know runes would know the pattern quickly. And those more versed, likely would recongize it as a hell rune. Ty takes a moment to let out a slow shuddering breath, as a small smile forms under her mask. She just infused a part of her soul into the pistol. "Keep the blessing. Learned a few tricks from a Hell Lord.", she tells.

The odd thing about Ty's magic is it kinda shows. Her skin is a little redder now. There's some bumps on her forehead. The woman looks a bit like she's half surpressing herself at the moment, trying to keep her professionalism, but a part of her...is eager...

Sara Pezzini has posed:
The cracks in the warehouse widen and expand, letting more and more of the yellow/orange light expand out over the parking lot. As the light touches the concrete it becomes obvious there is heat to it, the very heat that the thermal vision had picked up. Released from the warehouse in this way, the heat fades away so quickly that it seems to suck the warmth from the very air and leave a chill.

Thaz says nothing as he is hoisted onto Red Sonja's shoulder, but he lifts his head up to look toward Mike as he says way too cheerfully, "Most definitely another time, if I survive this of course."

That's when Gondor lights the beacons for real and the very light around Phoebe causes the last vestiges of power holding the warehouse together to explode. The yellow/orange light rushes across the entire group, the parking lot, even toward the streets that have remained mostly empty. Intense heat strikes like a blast of air from the vents of a car's heater, leaving singes at the edges of clothing but not effecting skin or hair at all. When the light fades away, what is left before the charging group is the warehouse with both loading docks open to the world and a horde of impish looking demons and numerous hell hounds moving to charge out and engage.

Behind the hordes a massive armored figure can be seen with four large arms, each holding a khopesh sword. For Mike, he can see the tethers reaching up into the night sky... but he is also the only one who can see the harpy looking winged things spiraling down from those tethers toward the group.

"We're coming Ezran!" Thaz yells from Sonja's shoulder, not even remotely loud enough to be heard over the throng of running feet coming toward them. "This is the end for you, Xelme is next!"

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
There's a cackle of glee from Sonja, "TO THE ABYSS WITH YOU!" Apparently the abyss is a separate concept from whatever parallel plane of reality the equivalent of hell is. And Sonja goes to move to charge into those hordes over of goblins over wielding Thaz as a giant war club. She goes to slash him down, using him to block strikes, as a shield, and then to counter and parry. As blasts go at her of fire, brimstone, and acid, she goes to swing him about to effectively block.

He is immune to wahtever the demonic fodder can throw at her, so this makes him an invaluable shield and weapon. "GODDESS TAKE YOUR CORPSES AND FEAST UPON THEM!" It has been awhile since Sonja's got to cut fully loose and go berserk. Other hand goes to yank out the sword from her back. Secondary adamantium forged on a core of Hyborean Steel. she charges through the mass. Screeching a Hyrkarian War Cry forgotten from the bowels of time and a wretched thing to scream out. Sonja is in feral glee as she gives in to her rage and lets it consume her. There is no hesitation. No restraint. Just her going to cleave, club, skewer, and slaughter her way through everything. There is murderlust in her eyes as she fully yields herself to her fury, screaming her war cries and offering the reapings to the ancient goddess that empowered her.

Sybil Tan has posed:
Watching MJ pop into berserker mode, Sybil mutters to herself "This kind of thing should probably go in her file." then raises her left arm to point at a hellhound. A bolt of energy erupts from the cannon and slams into the hound, causing it to explode into a cloud of ash.

Seeing that most of what's coming is landbound, she fires up the thrusters in her wings and rises into the air, plasma jets and the force panels forming her wings bright in the darkened sky. She fires off another shot, causing an imp to vanish in an ugly puff.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As Phoebe yells back at Red Sonja, Mike turns his head, blinking as the blessed strength apparently backfired on the one granting it. He can't believe he's about to say this but. "Put the angel down! You don't know where he's been h-"

Mike frowns for a moment before he shakes it off. Ok, something to explain later. Maybe.

If he survives.

There is the smell of burning fabric which is-mildly irritating but the advance continues. There's another glance up marking wher the tethers are. As he moves, his form starts to shift. Shadow starts to creep along his form, eventually enclosing the exposed parts of his skin. There is a hop and a skip before he bounds up high, bypassing the first wave of demons.

Kids first.

Fodder later.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe pauses for just a moment as the heat overwhelms the area around them, but doesn't seem to affect them. She hisses a moment, raising her arm before she touches the communicator.

"Ay Jefe, could maybe use your help at the place where I just lit up." she states, "Got a target-rich environment and an angel-flail."

    Phoebe pauses.

"It's kinda funny actually -- and ah... don't... add that to the Balm file, please. SHIELD has too much info on me already." she comments, and she gives a swallow.

She flanks Mike for his first hop, not only a brilliant target but she slices and ashes through imps, helping to keep his path clear, following his progress.

She fights like she was born to it, moving smoothly through the targets with that brilliant staff aglow.

She's also using far more lethal moves than her boasted fourteen years of aikido would suggest, the teen with the backpack making sure to ash everything in her path as she watches and listens for the roar of Hellfire and the melee melody of Sonja using the poor fallen angel to just smash things.

Sybill's airbone, and the younger mage gives a slight grin as she wades into the thick of it.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty slowly backs away from the charging horde. The woman fires her pistol, unleashing the soul infused bullets at the charging imps and hellhounds. She's calm, and discplined as she makes sure each shot is a solid kill shot as she moves back to the salt circle she made earlier. As her gun hits empty, she's already got a clip in hand, and reloading. The woman keeps her breathing steady as she fires. No need to get excited. At least not yet. The woman opens up a portal, and reaches into her subspace to pull out a MP5, and uses control bursts to keep the mob at bay. Ty creates her own little shooters nest by her bike as she cries out. "AVALON!" Suddenly the guantlet on her left arm flares to life, and puts up an energy shield.

"Since you all want to be...so nice...", she smiles. The woman reaches for the OSG case. She opens it up, and pulls out the GM6 Lynx, and this time, her whole hand becomes red as she traces a rune on the gun. An evil grin crosses her face, as she preps to go for the bigger targets.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Red Sonja finds herself being prompted by Thaz with things like, "Ouch, over there!" and "That hurt, behind you!" In fact, he doesn't stop talking. The only time he isn't rambling about the enemies or making vague comments about pain that isn't really there, is when he sucks in a breath to continue speaking. He's constantly encouraging, annoyingly so, the rest of the group by throwing out a few, "You got this people!" and at least one, "Drinks on me after you win!"

There is an invisible line that when eight of the harpies move past it, they are forcibly ripped out of the land of dreams and into the reality of this realm. This is accompanied by a shrieking scream of anguish and surprise, but doesn't stop them from moving through the air toward the group. Their element of surprise might be taken, but they still intend to engage from the air by spitting an inky black something toward the heroes on the ground. Most of these harpies stop in midair above that line, before they can be seen, and move toward their commander and chief in the warehouse.

Slowly the numbers of the horde are dwindling down, the piles of ashes forming on the ground only to be stepped through before the breeze blows it away. How it is that there were that many demonic creatures inside that warehouse is clearly a magical question to be answered later, but systematically they are being destroyed.

This leaves Ezran to ponder what his next move will be, for clearly these beings /can/ effect the demonic hordes and that could ruin his plans to defeat Xelme. Where did Thaz keep finding these beings with power? It was so annoying really, but the large demon still have one ace up his sleeve, or at least he thought he did.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
And Red Sonja cackles madly over as she moves to simply heft over her improvised club again as she goes to charge her way over through the horde. Some of the black gunk hits onto her, an dhse doesn't seem phased, even as parts of her armor start to melt away in the acid, strips clinging to her skin. MOre chunks of the standard issue agent armor go to peel off as she simply charges through the spray, apparenlty unbothered enough to try and avoid it over or go around it. She goes to pick up her club, moving to twist her hands over to pick up Thaz and wield him over like a greatclub..

She charges towards Ezran, simply moving to bypass any guards or itnerferences in the way. Going to charge straight in, letting ou ta howl of glee and madness. "Come, monster!" Four armed, a story tall, a beast..

Now it was time to see how well skinned Thaz' head was even as she moves to charge over towards Ezran. Ignoring anything that would hit her as she would go to a full sprint. She could run fast for short periods. Very, very fast. She goes to hit more than ninety kilometers an hour and moves to build up momentum. Then when about a half dozen meters away from Ezran ifs he can get it she goes to launch herself up in the air, having cocked back Thaz to buildup momentum over her shoulder..

Then with her leap she goes to twist and slam Thaz's head upwards in an upswards swing with all of that build up momentum, power, and inertia and smashing with her strength that could approach in her full battle frenzy to nearly a full ton..

Her intent being to just smash Thaz's head right between Ezran's legs. Demons were still built in the form of humans, wretched things that they might be.

Presuming there is a full on impact, a loud NU-KRAK would erupt through the air from the blow.

Sybil Tan has posed:
In the ultimate expression of the phrase 'What goes around comes around', Sybil turns toward the scream of the harpies as they appear, then points the cannon a little in front of one of them. She doesn't shoot, but rather opens a portal that swallows the black gunk. A second portal opens behind the harpy and politely returns it's gunk directly onto it's back, hopefully burning it, or at least fouling up it's wings.

Since she's the only current flier in the group, she boosts towards the harpy line, firing energy bolts to announce her arrival as she strafes the line, going into a spin as she passes them to that she can also burn them with the superheated plasma exhaust from her flight jets.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Coming down, the Shadowman uses a demon's head for another bounding position, launching him up higher. In the process, the cloak of shadow shifts, seemingly birthing two new appendages from the folds. As the dark wings unfurl, they appear AWFUL FAMILIAR to someone's set down below.

In a display of flight that seems a hybrid of his time as a raven and his time wearing borrowed wings on Kian's planet. Phantasm ends up engaging in an earth equivalent of bird tag. With the tethers and harpies being the targets.

Gliding behind one harpy, he slashes the base of the wings with his claws before he zooms over to one of the tethers, seeking to cut at that too.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Black gunk is never a good look. It rots away at Phoebe's jacket, making her yelp out in pain as it hits her skin. She peels the sleeve away, showing angry flesh, and she grits her teeth a moment, shuddering in pain.

There is a brief moment when she's then overrun with remaining imps, giving a screech of her own in mixed pain and rage as she's ccovered, drowning.

And then there is a burst of fire, and Phoebe engulves everything around her in rose-gold flame, ashing the imps and burning away the gunk on her arm, adding to the scarring skin as she tilts her head back, her jaw stretching before she releases another wave, this time of wind, spiraling outward from her like a tornado at hurricaine speeds, looking to buffet away the harpies remaining her near her!

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty is glad she put up that energy shield in time. She didn't know about the Harpies until the black goo hits her energy shield. The woman shakes her head, setting up the anti material rifle. She really, REALLY wanted to test this someplace...fairly safe, but issues came up. So, this'll be the first time Ty has used her hell runes on the rifle. She chambers the first .50 BMG sniper round, and takes a few deep breathes as she aims first for a Imp thats charging at her. She wants to make sure before lining up the big boi. The woman calmly first the round, and the rifle, and her skid back a bit from the kickback recoil. She stops just short of breaking her salt circle. "Ok...definitly more power...", she says. She enchanted it to be faster, stonger, tougher, and hit hella lot harder. At least only for the one clip before she has to re-enchant...

Ty takes aim at the big boi now. She takes a moment to adjust her aim, mostly for the main body/upper chest area. Center of Mass for the best hit chances. She takes her time as she fires the shoots. After a few shots, Ty moves her aim a little higher, and tries to take a head shot...

Sara Pezzini has posed:
The magically blessed energy from Kestrel's weapon strikes a harpy, and an instantaneous ugly puff of ash is the reward. The harpies are so busy attempting to stop Red Sonja by spitting at her, that they fail to see the incoming attacker in the air. Before they can react, six find themselves dead and the last two turn their attacks toward this new threat in armor.

As the Shadowman makes his strikes against the harpies, they offer return attacks of claws and black spit, trying to actually tackle him to drag him back down to the earth, but many lose their existence in the seconds that tick by. His attack against the tether is another matter entirely. It feels thick, overly strong, and initially offers profound resistance to the claws, as if there is no way it will be severed. One heart beat, then two, then three, in slow motion the point that it appeared as the strike would fail... then success. The tether severes, sending a wave of energy throughout the realm of dreaming. He knows in that moment that one child is free.

A truly beautiful build up, Red Sonja's charge is met with minimal resistance allowing her to easily reach Ezran in his position of power. From their higher vantage point, the harpies spit at her continuously, but seeing that it doesn't slow her, they turn their attentions back to the shadow moving among them.

Thaz gets exactly three seconds to shout, "This won't work..." before the swing follows through and his head meets his brother in ways that no brother's should ever know the another. Clearly the fallen angel is shocked, and in pain because he starts screaming, "That is enough of that you psychotic out of time spirit!"

Meanwhile Ezran, the mighty and powerful muscle demon of the three, crumples into a whimper ball of male agony on the floor. Two of the khopesh get dropped to grasp as the humanoid jewels and instantly two of the tethers are severed. Rolling around on the ground, like any male would from an attack like that, he actually manages to roll toward Red Sonja, and possibly right over her and Thaz if she's not quick enough.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
As if being struck in the family jewels by family wasn't enough, as Ezran is going down to begin the rolling around, Tynan's blast rings out. The shot was aimed at his chest, so naturally as he was falling he was shot in the face, and one horn is completely blown off his head... this is not his day, and now he really, really, really wants to know where in all the hells his brother Thaz finds people like this.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Feeling the surge of success after a stubborn battle, a jagged smile forms upon the winged monstrosity's face. With the key priority in mind, he flies off towards the other tethers intent to remaining kids.

This of course would be much faster if he didn't have to stop to fight another oncoming harpie. After slashing another wing set, he turns to find the tether he was going after gone.

Blinking, he glances around before diverting over to the last tether he detects to cut at that.

Sybil Tan has posed:
Seeing Mike going after the last tether Sybil comes to a hover above the fight, narrows the aperture of the cannon and starts laying down suppressing fire around Sonja and Ezran, keeping the remaining hounds and imps back while she finishes things off. How she is going to do that is not something Sybil wants to think about, given what she just saw from the berserk woman.

Having just a tiny Mortal Kombat moment, she opens the comms and shouts <<Finish him!>> without pausing the spray of energy bolts tearing through anything demonic she can get a bead on.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
And there's a cackle over from Sonja as she goes to unleash her blow. There's a debate over from the shrieking, crazed woman as the acid bubbles down her, and her blows sends the giant that just had part of his head exploded from the shot of Tynan detonates around her. As the giant demon falls, she goes to release Thaz, "Since you asked for it!" she goes to drop him as she goes to jump away.. Of course, he is possibly stunned and disoriented as his brother tumbles..

But he also may see what the woman is doing as she evades and might decide to do the same! his fate is in his own hands (or face, but we won't go there).

Sonja's near feral cries and shrieks fill the air as she geos to land, quickly rolling out of the way over with hers word in her other hand, goign to quickly get up. Acid from the harpies bubbling down her, most of her outfit having been melted off or falling away from her. For some reason the reinforced kevlar and ceramic plating almost being fused to hera t some points, dangling bits of metal and hellfire giving the mesh melted to her body that barely covers her almost like the slashed off sections of ancient armor melted in to her in what might almost be a.. Metallic bikini?

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe recovers, and re-ignites her light staff before she sees Ezran go down via head-to-'head' contact, and even *she* winces, grimmacing at the implied pain; she feels a bit bad for the demon, just a little bit though.

She switches her staff to her left hand, and rests one end of it in the surrounding ashes, and to the attacks, and the brutality she lends her own: Banishing.

She never gets to do this.

The teen relaxes her shoulders, her eyes closing as a circle with hieroglyphics in Egyptian motif, looking to hold the big demon in place as the final blows are given!

<<Rider, Witchblade, this is Balm -- you two all right out there? Things are pre-ty hot in here but we're winning... I think.>> she wearily states into the comms <<Anyone who is *not* currently rocking a demon or pre-historic holy armor weapon who needs heals, I got 'em.>

Tynan Ireton has posed:
"I lay claim on the horn.", Ty annouces before she fires one last shot. Thats just to empty the clip, and give MJ a little more time to run away. The woman switches back over to her MP5, and keeps the imps and hellhounds back. Its mop up time. The woman is also running a bill in her mind. Emergency deployment, ammo costs. She is a merc after all, and well, pro bono is not good for business!

<<This is Dark Caliber. I'm pretty good. I...didn't think I was gonna need all the defenses, but glad I set them up before hand anyways. In fact, the only thing I need right now is an open tab at a club, and somebody elses house to crash out. And probably something for the morning.>>, Ty comms. Yeah, Ty's planning on partying after this...Fighting Demons just means that she has an excuse to go to the clubs.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
The fate of angels and demons should always be in the hands of those who call this realm home. The reality was that neither should pass through the veil into the land of humans, but when they did it was good to know that there were people with the ability to take them to task.

Upon release from the cackling insane out of time spirit, Thaz had only seconds to react. If he apperated away the final attacks would lack his blessing and his brother might survive, but if he stayed...

He stayed. Taking the full force of his brother rolling over him a couple of times and accepting what ever damage that might bring.

Ezran never had a chance. Like any overly large, muscle bound being, when he went down he was staying down. The gun shot to the face, the glancing blows from Kestrel as she cleared things away and inevitably hit him along the way, another gun shot blast from hell, literally, and coup de grace... Banishment.

As Ezran's form burst into embers and ash that fell like black snow to the ground, Thaz laid there staring up at the ceiling of the warehouse. He loved humans, he really did, just not that particular human... the crazy one. He forced himself to sit up, one wing bent at an odd angle. "The other two are in Central Park. Xelme claimed them... Could I get a band-aid? Thanks." Then he passed out.
