Tinyplot: The Count of Monte Cristo

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The studio lights are bright as they shine down upon the brightly colored set of The Match Game. The bright lettering proclaiming the show's title flashes while two rows of three persons sit to the side. As the sign goes on prompting the audience there is an abundance of cheering from the studio audience.

Using that as their entrance, a well dressed man, about 6 feet in height with a strong jaw and short blond hair steps forward. In his hand a microphone. Giving a smile to the audience as the applause dies away, he nods and brings the microphone up. Soon after the familiar words that start most every match game is stated. With some names changed of course.

"Welcome to the Match Game. I'm your host, Wade Shaw." The former bassist for Silver Round greets before smiling to the camera and then turning over to the group of six. "On our panel today we have... The oh so quick- Impulse! The ever strong- Troia! That's a lot of green- Green Lantern! And on the bottom row, A friend of Gotham- Phoebe Beacon! The - Vorpal! and lastly, my friend- Nick Drago!"

As the audience starts up in applause again, Wade turns to look to the sign. "And now let us meet our contestants!"

As the show theme music plays, there is a rotating stage that slowly rotates the contestants in to view. Each seated behind their own desks. "Today we have Caleb and Yaretzi competing." Turning his head, Wade backsteps over to a stand holding two cards one saying 'A' and the other saying 'B'. "Okay, the rules have been previously explained. Caleb, you won the tossup back stage so you get to pick first. Do you want Question A? or Question B?"

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb waves to the audience when he's announced, providing a polite smile to go along with that wave. He looks at the panelists as they're announced, and there's a something of a sigh of relief as he notices a lot of these people are Titans - superheroes. He looks at the audience, more specifically his family - his kid sister, Sheila, and his father -, feeling strengthened by their presence. But still, deep down, there's that sense of unease that refuses to go away, and probably never will.

But he's here to put on a show, so... He jumps to it. Returning his attention to Wade, he replies. "Yes, I'll take question A, please."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
When the contestants' seating-stage turns to face the panelists, it reveals a young latina woman, Yaretzi, sitting in one of the seats, waving. She does, indeed look excited, probably from knowing that there are going to be superheroes on the panel. She gets a momentary 'deer in the headlights' look on her face when she sees the panel, and her already slightly-brown skin darkens as she blushes... and looks down and away from the panelists, eyes wide, bringing both hands down into her lap. She otherwise remains quiet while it's Caleb's turn to play the game.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen waves as well, and as the contestants. He blinks and gets a look of recognition as he looks at them. He looks over to the camera though and pulls out a box of legos and quick text builds a lego hand to wave, to show off his speed a bit. When the camera pans to Donna, a quick text message is sent via his phone "Hey I know that guy. Accidently brought him to a rescue while Balm and I teleported to it."

Donna Troy has posed:
As the camera moves across the panel to Donna, she gives a wave. "Hi everyone! I'd like to thank Wade for the opportunity to come back for a second appearance on the show." She turns a little to smile at Wade. "Last time I was a panelist here, I missed watching the broadcast due to getting lost inside a black hole a few days after filming. Took three months to find our way out. I'm hoping this time I'll have a bit more luck and will actually get the chance to see myself."

She turns back to the camera, her eyes narrowing in a threatening fashion. "Also... if you're watching, Hawkeye, don't think I've forgotten!" She shakes a fist at the camera. "I'm waiting, Avenger!"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi blinks her eyes and looks up as Donna shakes her fist at the camera, and lifts both hands to cover her mouth in a vain attempt to muffle the giggle that escapes her.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle's in his spot when the intros come and in his hands are a couple of quickly made posterboard signs. He'll flip the first sign over and it reads, "So this isn't The Newly Wed Game?" Because Kyle did mix up these two gameshows a bit. He'll pantomime confusion on his face.

Next sign's up, "That's a relief! The only ring I have is Green." Overexaggerated relief comes to his face. Yes, this joke is cringe, but a lot of the jokes in this gameshow were.

And finally he'll reveal the last one. It reads, "I hope to make Betty White proud," genuine sadness will strike his face for a second. The one thing he knows about The Matching Game, is Betty White was often a guest during the 70s era.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe's wearing a head-wrap that shows her artificially-relaxed dusky pink kinks, a smart business jacket and nice blouse, and she gives a smile and a small wave, black acetate eyeclasses perched on her nose and wide choker collar on her neck as her hand gives a little swipe across the screen, and pre-arranged text reads: 'Donate to the Gotham Childrens' Works - #GothamChildrensWorks #WayneCharities' -- and she gives a rather scared look up to Donna with the outburst about threatening Hawkeye!

Terry O'Neil has posed:
"Wait, I'm THE Vorpal? I didn't agree to this rebranding, I need to call my agent!" The Cheshire cat grins, "I, too, got lost in that same black hole as Troia... right after having had my first official date with Beast Boy. Now I'm engaged to him, here's hoping I don't vanish again before the wedding..." he glances over at Troia, "You know, it was her fault we all got trapped in there. Amazons are bad luck." He winks at Troia, and faces the camera again. "Hawkeye..." he mouths 'run' while pointing at Troia.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As the camera pans to Nick Drago, they find the rocker, decked out in his trademark rocker looks, simply smiling at the antics of his co-panelists, the LEGO hand is eyed for a moment before he looks back to the camera. His head cocks to the side as he warmly smiles. Lifts his left hand up and waves to the camera.

Wade is also finding a bit of amusement to the antics displayed but soon switches back to host mode. "Well Troia, here's hoping that you and your friends will get to enjoy the showing of this episode from the comfort of your own home. And do I sense a challenge in those words? Perhaps we need another episode to settle things between you and Hawkeye. And no Green Lantern, it isn't the Newlywed game but despite that, we are still sure to get some interesting answers tonight! And my apologies Vorpal. There's just no single word that can, fully describe you." And now back to the game..." He looks back to Caleb. "Question A it is." He replies back, reaching over to pull the indicated card. As he pulls it, a secondary 'A' card in a different color is displayed in its spot but ignored for now.

"As those on stage may know already, this particular episode has a particular theme to the questions tonight. Perhaps the audience can guess what it is after a few rounds."

The card is lifted up. "To get around Fantastica, Bastian uses Falcor. To get around the Labyrinth, Jareth uses... blank."

He turns to the panelists once more to repeat the question. "To get around Fantastica, Bastian uses Falcor. To get around the Labyrinth, Jareth uses... blank."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi is grinning, now, with the panelists' fun and silliness having brightened her mood. When the question is asked, her eyes widen and she puts her elbows on the console in front of her, chin in her hands as she waits to see and hear what answers are given to the question.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb considers the question, and starts to go over the old classics you can't miss as a kid, that he watched with his sister when times for weren't marred by darkness. So, his thoughts drift to the movie, and the character of Jareth, and starts to jot down his hypothesis in his mind...

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will think for a moment, and then writes his answers down. He then is gone for a blink and back with a glass ball, and trying to roll it around his arms. His tongue stuck out the side of his mouth as he tries, occasionally dropping it but fast enough to catch it before it hits the ground, and start over again.

Donna Troy has posed:
"Vorpal is not speaking the truth" Troia says as she stares in concentration at her card. "Amazons are certainly not bad luck, and everyone knows it was his fault. Also he is prone to yelling 'FALKOOOR' for no apparent reason. "

She starts writing on her card. "I do know about Labyrinths though, and Jareth. And I know what you're thinking, Vorpal. Don't write it down, this is a family show!"

Kyle Rayner has posed:
What should be an easy answer for Kyle is actually difficult. He can make an argument for three different choices. And Kyle doesn't want to be the "Umm, Actually" guy.

Time passes by and he struggles to settle on an answer. Fearing that he's the last one, Kyle decides to veer off course. Leaning into the way other celebs would go very far down an offbeat path, Kyle's answer reflects that.

A look goes to Vorpal. They may be on a very similar path for their respective answers.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe considers a moment, pulling at one of her kinks of hair and letting it spring back into place before her ears turn a couple shades darker, and she tilts her head forward to write down her answer. She wrinkles her nose a moment in good humor and as she submits her answer, but tries not to giggle as Troia warns Vorpal about this being a family show. "That's right -- so just make it clever." she replies to Vorpal with a small smile.

As she submits her answer, she pulls out a pack of multi-color pastel sticky-notes. She folds the top one in bright neon pink into a flappable crane, and then turns around and hands it backwards to Impulse.

"I will bake you cookies if you can find me a strawberry soda and snack cakes during the break." she whispers to Impulse with a small grin.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Vorpal cackles, "Oh, this question was made just for me, I see." He ponders, chewing on his pen. There many things he could say about Jareth. Many of which, really, he can't actually write down. Which is a shame, really, because there are so many possibilities. All of them absolutey wrong, though. Eventually, he decides upon an answer that seems perfectly logical for him, and is therefore probably just wrong in an entirely different context.

Hearing the cackling to the side of him, Nick turns his head slowly to look over to Vorpal. Oh dear. What seems to be a bit of a concerned look soon morphs into a more mischievous one as he starts to write his answer down.

If one could hear the thoughts of any teachers watching this show when it broadcasts later, there would likely be a collective scream at sitting these two together.

Wade, who is looking to the pair gives a soft sigh before looking back to the panelists. Watching as the pens set down. "Alright, the panelists have their answers recorded." He looks over to Caleb, "Caleb. To get around Fantastica, Bastian uses Falcor. To get around the Labyrinth, Jareth uses... blank. What do you say?"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"What kind of magic spell to use?", Yaretzi sings. "Slime and snails? ...or puppy dog's tails...? Thunder and lightning?", she goes on, leaning towards Caleb as she sings, "...and baby said?"

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb thinks, thinks, and thinks. "I'd say he uses teleportation", Caleb replies, resolute in his answer. "He's a god in his realm, and therefore he dictates the rules of when and where he wants to be in said realm." He's unsure that explanation was necessary at all, but he said it, there's no going back.

He looks towards the panelists, to see what they replied...

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will continue his ball work and sets it down when he is offered the bird. He nods to her and gives a thumbs up symbol. As camera comes to him, he looks over and says "He reminded me of the babe, the babe with the power of voodoo." Which he shows it as his answer.

Donna Troy has posed:
Troia does a little shoulder-dance and sings along with Yaretzi for a couple of lines. "Dance magic, dance / Dance magic, dance / Put that baby's spell on me..." It seems that being anAmazon doesn't preclude someone from being a Labyrinth fan!

When the camera moves across to her, Troia gives Caleb an apologetic smile. "Teleportation is a good answer. Very useful. However being an Amazon you can't think about traveling through labyrinths without thinking of Theseus. Even when you can teleport, you have to know where to go. I was in a labyrinth recently myself, and I used a..."

She turns her card around showing the words 'A ball of yarn'. "Sorry, Caleb!"

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle openly winces at Caleb's answer. "Caleb. I'm sorry. I thought of 'Teleportation.' Because you can argue for that. You can argue for his shapeshifting ways. And his other powers." Then he sighs, "So, I panicked and wrote a valid offbeat answer" he flips the card over. It reads, "Those Gray Magical Pants that well, you know..."and he gives the camera a knowing look. "I mean we're talking about those pants how many decades later?"

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Dance, magic dance magic dance, magic dance magic -- Put that baby's spell on me~ - Doot de doot doot o/`" Phoebe sing-songs with Troia after Yaretzi, and she looks up to Kyle with a bit of a side-long grin and then shows her answer:

'The Juxtaposition of not needing a sock, but wearing two'

And she looks down. "This is a /family/ show." she repeats to herself and the audience as she gives a snort of trying to contain her giggles, putting down her card and trying not to laugh as she turns to Vorpal to see what his answer is, plucking up another piece of sticky note from the pad, in orange, and she quickly folds a unicorn. This one's given to Troia!

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Still chuckling, Vorpal holds out his hands, waving them before letting a small bit of glitter pop out. As the small cloud dissipates, the card is displayed: 'The sheer and overwhelming gravitational pull of Sarah's thirst.'

Surprisingly. There's no 'ding' from the desk for that one.

Nick's eyes warily track the path of the glitter but upon determining most of it remained on Terry's desk, he gives a slight nod. "Well, mine's not as lengthy as that. And Teleportation's a great answer but, I just thought of the scenes where he's just sitting on a ledge, spinning them or he's throwing them- And he seemed to use them in a lot of his stuff so..." The card lifts up, showing his answer: 'His Crystal Balls'.

Wade looks to the panel. Brows lifted to the lower row and the end of the top row. "You guys just feed off of each other, don't you?" He comments, betraying his own inner teacher. He turns, looking over to Caleb. "Alright You said 'Teleportation' and the judges have awarded you... zero matches. But as you can see this can be challenging so you're not out of it yet."

Moving from Caleb, he grabs the 'B' card and then walks over to Yaretzi, "Alright Yaretzi. You have Question B.'

The card is opened and the bassist looks to what is written inside. There's a deep breath as he glances over to Vorpal for a moment before looking back to Yaretzi, "With Aragorn you have his sword. With Harry Potter you have his ....BLANK."

Wade turns to look to the Panelists. "With Aragorn you have his sword. With Harry Potter you have his ....BLANK."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi nods to Wade and listens, smiling when she hears the question. She leans back in her chair, her body language speaking volumes about how she's already got an answer in mind. She doens't speak, though, as she hasn't been called on to give her response.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
The teen listens to the answers provided by the panelists, and although he chuckles and laughs at the answers they reply, ultimately when he diverts his gaze, he frowns.

Maybe he's not in the right mindset for this contest - he expected it to be objective, not... A bunch of movie references that ammounted to nothing - in his mind, anyways.

Sheila catches the look of contained distress that rushes over her sibling, and she finds herself squeezing her dad's hand. And he nods in return, and tries to show his son a thumbs up in encouragement.

Caleb's smile to them is faint, just about dead.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen thinks about this one for a bit longer, he starts to write something down and then looks over the rest of the group and shakes his head before writing something else instead. When the camera is off him, he is off and back again in a flash. This time everyone gets one of their preferred drinks in front of them for the contestants and which ever sodas the crew had in from of the contestants. He is back in his seat a moment later having set a strawberry snack cake on Phoebe's lap since only supposed to have liquids gotta hide the contraband.

Donna Troy has posed:
Troia crumples up her card and throws it at the back of Terry's head. "It was a hard one Caleb! We'll match you next round, don't worry," she says.

Then she takes the unicorn from Phoebe with a grin. "I hope you're not implying I'm a replicant?" she asks. Time for more movie references!

Troia places the unicorn down on the desk in front of her and starts writing her next answer straight away, apparently not having needed any time to think. Once she's done she puts the card face down in front of her, and turns to Kyle with a raised eyebrow. "Someone just had to mention the tight pants, didn't they?" she asks with a smirk.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
The answer comes quick for Kyle. It takes a little bit to get it done, but he turns over his card after a short wait. A look runs over the panelist as the lantern tries to see how everyone else is doing with their answers.

Then Donna Troy, "You've got a little boy, he shows you his butterfly collection plus killing jar," Kyle says flatly watching her intently as he waits for the answer. Clearly someone suspects Donna to be a replicant.

He wats for a moment before going over another part of the test, "You're watching television and you sudden realize there's a wasp on your arm."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe gives a bright grin and a thumbs up to Troia, "Nah, nah, I would need another slip of paper to make a Pegasus, Unicorn was closest I could get." she gives a grin, turning and leaning back as she pulls a yellow piece of paper, and as she listens to the next question she folds it into a cat, though she looks up as she feels a breeze. She leans back and shoots A Look to Nick. The cat, understandably, is handed over to Vorpal. She gives a small smile, and purses her lips, running her tongue along her top teeth beneath the moue as she gives small bits of laughter with some of the other answers, and then she writes her own answer on the card provided -- while sneaking a piece of snack cake. The snack cake is offered to Nick behind Vorpal's back.

"C'mon Lantern, don't be mean to Troia. She could *probably* take us all in fights." pause "Not that I'm any good in a fight."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The crumpled up card ends up getting swatted away before it makes its mark. The crumpled up card ends up sailing near Phoebe but continues on its path to harmlessly roll across the stage floor away from the panel. The rockstar glances over from his seat, partly turned and hand lowering and shooting Phoebe an apologetic look before he turns back to his own desk.

Vorpal hmmmms. He narrows his eyes and smirks. His pen scribbles and he glances to the left and to the right, as if trying to ensure that nobody copies his answer, which is purely for comedic effect. He seems satisfied enough with his answer that he leans back and hooks his fingers behind his head.

Nick scrunches his nose in thought. A glance is given to the contestants before he looks back to his paper to- Huh. Another Guinness. NICE. He writes down his response and takes up the bottle to sip the contents. Donna's comment causes for him to smirk. Bottle set down he tilts back in his chair to look up at the row situated above. "Someone had to." He gives a thumbs up to Kyle before he moves back into position, sitting properly once more and having another sip of beer.

Wade cautiously monitors the lower row's body language as the group writes their answers down. With the discussion going on, he glances offstage to quietly confer on the material discussed only to give a slight nod in response.

Once every pen is back on the desk surfaces, Wade smiles. He looks back to Yaretzi. "Alright the panel has written down their responses. With Aragorn you have his sword. With Harry Potter you have his ....BLANK. What do you say?"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"Well, if I were going to live a new life in off-world colonies, David Bowie in tight pants would be a great companion...", Yaretzi says. Then, suddenly, there's a soda in front of her... and her eyes go *right* to Bart, then back to the can of soda. She picks up the can, pulls the tab to pop it open with the expected hissing sound of the escaping carbonation... and lifts it to her lips for a sip as if trying to hide her grin.

Then, it's time for her to give her answer to the question. "You'd have Harry's *wand*", Yaretzi declares, holding out one hand as if holding a wand. "Expecto Patronus!", she calls out as she gets to her feet for the moment... then sits back down, grinning ear to ear.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
The teen looks at Donna, and shakes his head. "No, it wasn't." He slightly shrugs afterwards, taking a deep relaxing breath. Whatever opinion he has on the answer he keeps to himself - it is being recorded, and he doesn't want to look bad, naturally. So, he's silent.

He looks at Yaretzi when she gets into character, and slightly smiles; he waits for the panelists' answers now...

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen snaps his fingers and says "That was my first thought, but I went with Life, I mean, that is what it took for him to win, the wand gets all confused with who owned it and such." He looks over and says "Sorry," He sips his own jolt cola, and looks to Donna to see what she put.

Donna Troy has posed:
"In Themyscira we have giant killer wasps, so I'd kill it," Troia tells Kyle. "Can't take the risk. Is this testing whether I'm a replicant or an Amazon, Mr. Lantern?" She flashes Phoebe a wink and then picks up her card, holding it away from the camera.

"I figured this was a reference to the 'you have my sword, and my bow, and my axe' line from Lord of the Rings. I guess if it was me, it would be 'you have my lasso' but for Harry Potter there's really only one thing he's famous for wielding, isn't there?" She tilts her card towards Bart to show him, then gives Yaretzi a smile and turns the card, revealing the word 'WAND', and prompting a green triangle to illuminate in front of her.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle looks back at Donna and speaks flatly "Just answer the questions," he says. He'll ty to keep the bit going. When it ends, he'll give a small wink.

Looking back to Yartzi, "Well, I think I'm about to make your night a little better. I said it's eleven inches, made of holly with a phoenix feather core. I said 'Wand' in the nerdiest way possible," he grins knowing that more points have just been earned. "A wand can be a wizard's foci. Thus, it's Harry's sword. The spells are just his equivalent to hacking and slashing."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"I still can't get over 'The sheer and overwhelming gravitational pull of Sarah's thirst' let alone David Bowie in Riding Pants on another planet -- I really hope that's actually what happened to him -- do you know Nick?" Phoebe replies with a slight grin as she looks around at all the heroes, and then takes a deep breath as she rubs her hands through her kinks and coils, the pink hair standing out a bit.

"I don't like Harry Potter, not really, but my friend dragged me to every book premiere when we were in school. Nerd cred -- HI NACHO!" she gives a wave, outing her friend, and then lifts her card:

'Adults who are Useless except Molly Weasley'

"Seriously, my third biggest criticism from the books. Second being the knut-sickle-galleon computations are more complicated than the Imperial measurement system -- five-toh-mate-tohs makes a mile indeed!" Phoebe gives a wry grin. And she plucks up the green piece of paper and begins to fold it quickly. This is a familiar shape for her as she leeeaaans back over and slings a perching parrot origami at The Green Lantern. The parrot is green, naturally.

Terry O'Neil has posed:
As the camera cuts over to Vorpal, it appears that he has undergone some form of costume change as he's now sporting a pair of round glasses and a lightning bolt squiggle on his forehead. The Red and Yellow scarf finishes off the look as he waves a wand over the card. "Leviosa......" The free hand reaches over to lift up the card to display the answer: 'Lethal sense of entitlement.'

"Let's be honest, that's really the only thing he wielded through that entire series of books." He then says, "Terry Pratchett is much better. But I'm biased, as a Terry myself." He glances at Phoebe, "We're gonna have to get together for coffee and Harry Evisceration!"

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"No. No. Explaining your answers is perfectly fine." Wade states to Kyle's reprimand of Donna. "As we've seen with some of the answers we've seen today, we are wondering about the thought process. Speaking of odd answers, Nick?"

As the camera switches over to Nick, he is chewing on something. Blinking, he stops chewing and gives a slow closed mouth smile to the camera. He lifts up his card, concealing the answer as he raises it. As the card gets about throat level, he swallows whatever it was he was eating. Phoebe's comment delays his presentation as he looks to her. "No I don't. But maybe he's hanging out with Elvis around a mountain of fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches."

"Well, I think we're getting a bit better." He responds, "This magic moment, brought to you by the words..." He flips the card over displaying 'His Wand'.

A green triangle lights up in front of Nick.

A Brow raised to the exchange, Wade looks to Nick and then back over to Phoebe getting a general sense of sus between the pair.

When the answers are all displayed, the host glances to Caleb a bit cautiously before looking over to Yaretzi. Smile back on his face. "Alright. The panel has spoken and you hav matched with Troia, Green Lantern, And Nick Drago. That gives you three points for this round. Now remember, as you've matched up to these three, You can't get any more points off of them."

Wade then points over to Caleb, "But you Caleb, you still can earn points off of them. So go synch up with them and you'll be back in it! As we enter into Round 2! Caleb, you're currently behind so you get to pick for this round as well. Do you want Question A or Question B?"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi sticks her tongue out at Bart when he reveals his answer didn't match hers, though it's clearly a playful gesture.... then she claps her hands together, just once, when Donna's answer matches her own. She grins, and gives Kyle a thumbs-up, at his reply. She arches an eyebrow, just for a moment, at Phoebe's reply, but makes no other comment or gesture about it. She lifts her soda can for another tip, shrugging and chuckling a little at Vorpal's reply.... and then puts down the canned drink to quietly applaud when Nick's answer also matches hers.

Then Caleb's choosing the next question, so she remains quiet, holding her soda can in both hands as she waits.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
The teen gathers himself and cracks his neck as he moves it left and then right. "Right..." He gets back into shape, shaking his disappointment. "Okay... Let's go with question A, again."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As Caleb picks the letter, Wade nods and grabs the envelope marked A and brings it over. Opening the envelope up, he reads it quietly. He gives a light smile. "Alright Caleb, you have chosen 'A'. With the Musketeers, it is All for one and one for all. With Edmond Dantes, it is all for BLANK."

He turns to the panelists, reading it again. "With the Musketeers, it is All for one and one for all. With Edmond Dantes, it is all for BLANK."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen hmmms and scratches his chin for a moment, and then seems to think of something and write it down. This one seemed to take him a moment to think about it. The young man seems a bit unsure on this one for a bit.

Donna Troy has posed:
Troia crumples up her second card, and throws it at Wade this time. Fortunately she's not throwing these very hard, and it won't be difficult for him to dodge. "The Lantern and I were doing a bit, Wade! Keep up!" she calls out to him with a laugh.

She gives Kyle a grin and leans back comfortably in her seat. "Count me in for the coffee you two," she calls out to Terry and Phoebe in front of her as she jots down her answer to the question. "Harry Potter is poorly researched and gives completely the wrong idea about how magic works. Terry Pratchett is a much more interesting writer, even if he does suffer from having to be a Terry."

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"It's clear you haven't seen things, like attack ships off of the shoulder of Orion. We need to change that," Kyle says withan amused smile. Then he nods to Donna. "There are other wizards named Harry I prefer," Kyle admits and he gets comfortable in his seat.

He'll submit the answer, but it's after a lot of waiting and everything else to put it on. it's been ages since he'd seen the last Monte Cristo movie. Like, -years- since he last seen it.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Only if you can teach /me/ that quick change -- that's nothing short of magical." Phoebe states, though she gives a sly grin and a nosewrinkle to the cat -- until Troia also announces she's joining for coffee. She ducks down, her ears coloring a little bit as she gives an embarrassed smile. She Absolutely Cannot Comment on magic, given she's Normal Phoebe Beacon, adopted by Bruce Wayne, but her ears are dark from the effort of keeping quiet.

Troia and Kyle are also offered pieces of the snack cake behind Terry's back.

Terry O'Neil has posed:
"Hey, there's nothing wrong with being a Terry! Ask Beast Boy and Kian. They will say ten over ten, would date again. Absolutely Terry-fic." He winks at Phoebe, "I can teach you how to do quickchanges, but I can't help you change into a cheshire cat. That's trademarked. And Disney-" he looks at the Camera, "We totally have to talk."

The Cheshire cat raises an eyebrow and glances over at Nick. "Oh, I love me some Monte Cirsto! Especially with some mustard and the right bread and... oh, wait, that's the sandwich. We're talking about the Count, aren't we?" He winks, and starts writing down his answer. "Ah Ah Ah. Oooone, Ooone count... let's seeee...."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As the card bounces off of Wade, the host turns and looks to the card. Seemingly debating as Donna shouts at him. Decision made he crouches down. Impulse control is apparently not a strong suit with musicians as he takes the card and flings it back. Be it by talent, sheer dumb luck, or betraying the unusual amounts of experience of retaliatory crumpled paper throwing, it is hurled with an amazing accuracy at Donna.

"Interesting question indeed. Well, The Count should know full well what it's all for. Speaking of which Nick, When IS that movie coming out to theaters?"

Nick smiles, both to Wade's seeming lack of preservation to own life to the blatant prodding to do some promotion. It's almost like this show was being recorded JUST for that purpose.

Nick writes down his answer, sets the pen down and looks straight into the camera. "The Count of Monte Cristo is set to release in the US late November and in the UK, early December."

Wade nods, looking to the panel for another moment before confirming all the pens are down. "Alright. The panel has written down their answers."

"Caleb." Wade slowly turns his head to look to the contestant. "With the Musketeers, it is All for one and one for all. With Edmond Dantes, it is all for BLANK. What says you?"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
The look on Yaretzi's face speaks volumes about how she does *not* know the answer to the question that's been given -- and that she's glad it wasn't *her* question. She remains quiet while things proceed... though she does grin at the throwing of paperwads.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Well, Wade", the teen says, tapping his fingers on his desk, "I'm not etirely sure if there's a lofty goal in the book that I'm missing, so I guess I'll settle for some good, old-fashioned, vengeance." He waits now for the answers, looking at the panelists...

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen hmms as he looks to the others and says "Ok, I said "The Booty," He says as he holds the card up for them to read. It seems Wad truly has no control over Impulse, but then again few do. He looks over and pulls the legos back out and start to build an artillery piece out of it.

Donna Troy has posed:
Troia is accepting cake when the card she had so casually and gently tossed in Wade's direction is returned with significantly more force, and bounces off her head. She whips her head around, looking across the studio. "Attacked!" she declares loudly. "AMBUSHED!" The camera is not pointing to her at the time and her voice comes from out of frame. Troia starts to clamber up onto the desk in front of her, as if she's about to climb over it. "I KNOW IT'S YOU, HAWKEYE! Striking from the shadows! SHOW YOURSELF!"

The camera gives a wobbling pan to find Troia, and zooms quickly in on her, and at the same moment she seems to notice the camera as if for the first time. She stares into the camera lens for a few moments with a wide-eyed deer-in-the-headlights expression, then backs slowly down off her desk and into her chair. "Later, archer, later," she growls.

It's a near-repeat of something that happened on her previous time on the show down to the wobble and zoom of the camera, suggesting that there may have been some discussion of this between herself, the cameraman and the producer before the show, and she was just waiting for an excuse. Wade can breath a sigh of relief, she doesn't seem to be coming for him at least!

"Ahem." Troia settles herself back in her chair, smooths down her hair, and lifts her card. "I said..." she turns the card to reveal the word 'Revenge'. "Close enough!" The producer agrees, and a green triangle lights up. Troia flashes Caleb a broad grin. "See, told ya we'd match up this time!"

Kyle Rayner has posed:
A smirk pulls at Kyle's lips as he heas hs answer said by someone else. However, the answer about "Booty" makes him laugh openly. His gaze focuses toward the camera when it's on him. "Well, there was already a ruling on mine. I said 'Revenge' too. And so, this is close enough on a technicality," he smiles and tries to get comfortable in his chair.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"In spite of everyone wanting to be a cat, I've kinda become a dog person --" Phoebe turns to the camera, and swipes her hand across the bottom again as SUPPORT THE GOTHAM HUMANE SOCIETY flashes on screens, followed by #Spay&NeuterUrPets as she folds a blue piece of paper into a guitar as the others give their answers, and this is casually slipped over to Nick Drago for purposes of shenanigans. Matter of fact this is underhand-tossed and she's attempting to land it in his hair as the top tier panelists read, and then she straightens up as it comes to her turn. She taps her card, and then mildly looks to the camera.

    Take a deep breath.

"REVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENGE!" -- ACK!" she cries out, arm drawing over her head, her voice fading as she leans back in her chair and then falls over and to the floor. And then bursts into giggles.

    There's a green triangle.

Terry O'Neil has posed:
"Evr'rybody wants to be a cat, 'cause-- wait, no, that's the wrong answer." The Cheshire cat brushes some glitter from his desk, and glances at the camera with a smirk. "Edmond is one of those guys, you know? Some say he's doing it for revenge. But let's be real, the dude is kind of an edgelord, and we know he did it for-"

He turns the card around and grins, 'THE LULZ' is written on the card.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As Donna starts threatening Hawkeye for the card that was thrown her way. He gives a slight grimace. Opting not to correct the misconception. Surely some show producers are already trying to get the ball rolling on a Titans/Avengers mixed panel again as ratings gold is sniffed in the air

With the amount of green triangles light up this round. Nick glances over to Caleb, giving a smile. Whether or not Caleb is fluent in deciphering smiles is up in the air but that is clearly a 'See? You're doing great.' smile. But as the camera makes its way over to Vorp, Nick glances down for a moment. 'Stealthily' accepting the paper guitar from Phoebe and then proceeding to act like he's strumming it. His expression resets to something more serious, while still playing with the guitar.

As the camera sets to him, he gives a serious look. "Well." He responds, hand setting on the card. "Edmond wants what all of us wants when they've been wronged. Justice." He lifts up his card, flipping it over to reveal 'Revenge' "But sometimes the meaning of Justice can get twisted." The little Green triangle lights up.

Wade's head slowly nods, looking to the results. "First off Phoebe, could you make me a paper guitar too?" Without waiting for an answer, he gets back to work. "And like that the tables have turned! Caleb has matched with Troia, Green Lantern, Phoebe Beacon, and Nick Drago. Putting him ahead by 1."

Wade looks over to Yaretzi as he grabs the remaining question, "Alright Yaretzi, as a reminder for the win you will have to match two answers to either Impulse, Phoebe Beacon, or Vorpal. Good luck."

The envelope is opened and Wade reads the question. "With The Snow Queen, Disney made the queen a hero. But with The Little Mermaid they made her BLANK."

He turns to the panelists. "With The Snow Queen, Disney made the queen a hero. But with The Little Mermaid they made her BLANK."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi can't help but bark a little laugh at Bart's answer, before clapping her hands over her face to quiet herself! Still giggling, she claps her hands at panelists having answers that match Caleb's, clearly having fun so far, as the show continues.

When her question comes up, she frowns a little in thought while the panelists are doing their thing. When she's asked for her answer to the question, she's clearly hesitant when she says, "A mermaid..."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen hmmms a bit and writes on his card, and says "I don't remember a queen in the little Mermaid, I know her dad was about and don't remember his parents at all, so I am going to go with " He flips his card over and says "Dead?"

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
Phoebe straightens herself up, and laughs "Sorry, sorry, appropriately dramatic for someone who might be watching." she states, and just folds a paper guitar with the purple sticky note for Wade as she listens to the prompt. "ooooh. OOOOH. I know this one --" she whispers, and she pauses her gitar-making, and scribbles her answer.

Bart pops up his, and she goes wide-eyed. "Only in the OG Hans Christian Anderson tale! That man was *not* a happy guy!" she states, and then holds up the folded guitar to Wade and gives it a shake to indicate it's ready.

And then she takes a small wince, and she holds up her card.

"She's also the only Disney Princess to become a Mom."

Terry O'Neil has posed:
"Oh, don't ask me /this/ question," Vorpal groans, "Now I've got that song stuck in my head, and it's all your fault. Which means I must retaliate." He starts writing the answer, humming 'Let It Go' for three seconds just so it gets into everyone's ears. Because if he must suffer, so must all of you.

Then he flips the card, and the answer is written there... and the letters swim up into the air: FISH FOOD.

"Because... you know, I THINK Eric's mom and is dead, and Triton's wife is dead, so there are no queens."

And suddenly, he's got Edna Mode's hair and glasses, and little black suit. "Bob Iger siad NO MORE QUEENS!"

And then he poofs back to normal.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Wade nods as Yaretzi gives her answer and moves over to listen to the panelists. A brow raises at Bart's answer. It settles as Phoebe states hers, and then both brows shoot up at Vorpal's. He turns his head, giving Yaretzi an apologetic look on behalf of the panel.

There is a deep breath before Wade continues. "And like that we have seen how quickly this game can turn around."

The host walks over to Yaretzi's desk and sets a hand on the surface. "Yaretzi. Thank you so much for coming onto the show. This was a very close game and you lost by a very narrow margin." He pauses to let that sink in. "But you will not be going home empty handed. As this is a special one time edition of the Match Game, You will be going home with a twelve hundred dollar scholarship to be used at the college of your choice. But now, we will have to bid adieu."

Wade steps away and gestures over to Caleb to come join him. "Caleb. Congrats! You have won a six thousand dollar scholarship. But now let's see if we can bump it up a bit more in the final round..."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Yaretzi is a little pouty as her answer doens't match any of the answers given by those panelists she can still match with, but she's very soon still smiling -- she's had fun, even if it looks like she's not coming out ahead in the game.

When she's told that she's getting scholarship money, she's all smiles and covering her mouth with both hands. She starts applauding, bouncing in her seat at having some away with what is, for her, a big win!

Once Caleb's asked to step away from his seat, the contestants' stage starts to rotate and Yaretzi waves as she's carried around and out of sight. She looks like she's happy-crying.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks over and as Terry answers Bart says "See, I aint the only one who thought that and he is a librarian." He says in response to Phoebe's remark. " He looks over and realizes no one matched with him today "Wow, I maybe out of practice on here," He looks over to the others and says "Hope he does ok." As Caleb picks Nick.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Am I allowed to match that with Wayne funds?" Phoebe asks, leaning over to the side, "Can I double it? Do I have to ask Bruce Wayne for that kind of thing?" Phoebe asks, and then she straightens up as the camera turns back to her. She's folded a black guitar now, and she plays it. It's tiny. It is so tiny, and she leans her head back and looks up at Impulse and mouths 'Ramen later?'

She doesn't have Night Work if she does late night charity functions.

Terry O'Neil has posed:
"Well, we were talking about the Disney version- the original story version is... as Phoebe said, veeery different. MAJOR sad. Holy forbidden love sublimation as literary figures, Batman--" he pauses, and glances at the camera. "... don't kill me, please." He grins.

Donna Troy has posed:
Donna applauds Caleb's win, and applauds Yaretzi's prize too -- she might not be a winner today, but she's certainly not a loser going home with twelve hundred dollars. "Well done both of you!" she calls out before leaning over to Bart and whispering "I'm glad I didn't have to answer that one. I haven't seen that movie. I'd have just said 'villain' as a wild guess..."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As Yaretzi is brought offstage with rotational style, Wade stands next to Caleb. "Alright Caleb. The final round is a little different. It is a fill in the blank phrase and you get to pick ONE panelist up there to write down an answer. Once they have, you state yours, and if you manage to match up to them. Your six thousand dollar scholarship becomes Thirty. Thousand. Dollars to be used at the college of your choice."

Wade pauses to let that sink in for Caleb. Smile growing wide.

With the explanation out of the way, Nick ends up being selected as the celebrity to match up against.

"Alright. Here we go. The Phantom BLANK." Wade looks over to Nick "The-"

"I'm already done, Wade."

"You couldn't wait for two more words?" Wade rolls his eyes and looks over to Caleb. "Alright. The Phantom BLANK. What says you?"

"...of the Opera?"

Nick grins, flipping his card over to reveal 'of the Opera'

There's a thunderous amount of applause from the audience leaving Wade to have to shout out the rest of the words as he turns to the camera reaching an arm around Caleb to give a congratulatory atta boy before releasing him to go run over to his family. "AND WITH ONE EXTRA MATCH CALEB HAS WON A THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLAR SCHOLARSHIP TO BE USED AT THE COLLEGE OF HIS CHOICE. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK GOTHAM CABLE STUDIOS FOR HAVING US HERE. THE PRODUCERS OF THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO FOR FURNISHING SUCH A GENEROUS PRIZE AND GIVE A MASSIVE SHOUTOUT TO OUR WONDERFUL PANELISTS!" Wade steps to the side to gesture over to the celebrity panelists before looking out to the camera. "AND YOU OUR WONDERFUL VIEWERS."
