Tom is a man trying his best to be a hero, among super-powered heroes. Prior training as a Special Forces Pararescue operative allowed him to transition from the military to being a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent - which keeps him in the action and helping people.

* 1992: Born and Raised in Toledo, Ohio, to Parents Finn and Elena.
* 2009: Graduated High School and signed up early to join the United States Air Force.
* 2009: While in Basic Training, he applied to Pararescue Special Forces and was accepted.
* 2010: Accepted into the Bootstrap program while training, started his degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for Nursing.
* 2011: Sent on <redacted> missions during the Iraqi insurgency.
* 2015: Completed his Bachelor's Degree, granted the rank of Second Lieutenant.
* 2015 - 2020: Continued to serve with distinction in multiple theatres in the world. Many covert missions to save the lives of many service members.
* 2020: Upon receiving a Purple Heart, he stepped away from the Air Force, having earned the rank of Major.
* 2020: His record was noted by S.H.I.E.L.D. and he was brought into service of the organization.

Duty:
While on the job, he's most certainly business first. People die if he messes up, so he's solely focused on getting things right and done properly.

Playful:
When not on duty, he has a heck of a sense of humor. It's often dry and subtle, but it is most certainly there.

Polite:
Raised in the military, he's got a good sense of instilled civility. Manners and proper behavior are something that Tom tries to adhere to.

Protective:
As a person who used to go behind enemy lines to rescue people, Tom is most certainly a protective person. Friends and loved ones, of course - but even your everyday unknown passer-by. He's there to protect, something easily discernable about him.

Accelerated Healing:
Digitabulum always protects her Wielder from death by healing fatal wounds almost instantly, and can grant a form of immortality if she chooses. Through the touch of the Gauntlet, she can heal others from grievous wounds and terminal illnesses.

Adaptive Armor:
Digitabulum is vested in protecting its host. The relic makes Tom immune to environmental fire hazards when armored up. Small arms are likewise not a problem. Larger caliber (anti-vehicle) weapons are problematic and will cause injury. Explosions are a mixed bag, the flash heat does not affect him, but the blast waves can certainly cause damage and injury even through the armor's ablative effects. The armor lessens the hazard from high-power kinetic impacts and exotic energy weapons but does not eliminate the threat.

Digitabulum Flight:
The wings formed by the Adaptive Armor use magic for momentum, something similar to telekinesis but coming entirely from the Gauntlet himself. It can keep Tom aloft for 3-4 hours both Tom and Digit need rest and recover their strength. Peak dive speeds can reach 300mph. The user is able to levitate in place in the air and has excellent maneuverability, comparable to that of a small flying bird.

Memories and Dreams:
Due to the nature of Digitabulum's creation, she shares the memories of all of Witchblade's previous Wielder's. Through dreams, she is able to share them with her current Wielder.

Superhuman Physique:
Once Digitabulum is activated, Tom's body becomes capable of superhuman feats. He can lift five tons at present and run at speeds of upwards of 60 feet per second. He gains a vertical jump of 15' and can leap over 50' gaps from a standing start. Digitabulum allows Tom to operate at human levels indefinitely; he can utilize his superhuman powers for 30-60 minutes before becoming exhausted and needing to recover.

Weapon Generation:
Digitabulum can summon knives, swords, whips and spears. When no weapon is present, she can create and project fire from the palm at long distances.

Witchblade Connection:
Because Digitabulum began her existence as a piece of Witchblade's soul, the two Artifacts are forever connected. No matter the distance between them, or their location in this universe or another, the two Artifacts are capable of communicating with one another. If they desire, they are also able to draw upon each other's abilities and powers.

This connection also permits the Wielders to know the location of each other, how healthy they are, and if the Artifacts permit, to even communicate with one another.

Combat Training:
Tom is an expert hand-to-hand combatant. As part of his special forces training, he was taught Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Kenpo and Tae Kwan Do.

Marksman:
As part of his Pararescue training, and on-going S.H.I.E.L.D. training, Tom is an expert marksman with most modern small-arms.

Medic:
Tom was trained in the Air Force as a Pararescue, and is familiar with battlfield triage and medicine. He also achieved his Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Pianist:
As a child, Tom learned to play the piano, a skill he's kept up through out being an adult. While not a concert level pianist, he does well while tickling the ivories.

Special Forces:

Digitabulum:
A Grand Ritual, years in the making and fueled by human sacrifice, was in its final hours of completion. The purpose of the ritual was to capture the Witchblade, rip his powers away and into a new object the Thule Society could control.

The ritual was brutally interrupted at a crucial moment in the transfer of Witchblade's power, and instead of trapped the entirety of his power, it tore a piece of his soul away and locked it in the new vessel, a bracelet. In that instant a new artifact was created.

When the piece of soul fully woke and gained sentience, it choose it's first Wielder and called itself Digitabulum (one of the many names Witchblade has been known by in history). Due to the bracelet being attuned to the male performing the ritual, and his life being lose in the process, Digitabulum prefers male wielders.

Digitabulum's resting form is a narrow silver band bracelet with a dime sized lapis blue stone in the center. When activated, she becomes an intricately etched and sharped edged silver Gauntlet that covers the wielder's hand and arm to the elbow. The lapis blue stone grows to two inches in size on the back of the hand, beneath it a half inch fire opal red gem.

Motorcycle:
Loving the thrill of the wind whipping past him, Tom has secured himself a Ducati Panigale V4 motorcycle.

S.h.i.e.l.d. Allotment:
Depending on the mission, Tom can request equipment from S.H.I.E.L.D. for the task at hand.

Standard Issue:
Tom is generally armed with a .45 Kimber Custom sidearm.

Enemies:
Tom has inherited Witchblade's power, and with it come enemies. Kenneth Irons covets the Witchblade and his attempts to steal it are ruthless and often bloody. Jackie Estacado is bearer of the Darkness, the cosmic antithesis of the Witchblade. Both would see Digitabulum as an acceptable target alongside the Witchblade himself.

Human:
Tom is a mortal, human person. No fancy genetical anomalies, no ultra-tech. Just a guy who is well trained.

Rival:
Colonel James Ericson was another pararescueman who served with Tom in the Air Force. Ericson blames Tom for the death of another PJ - incorrectly, but there's no changing Ericson's mind. He did everything he could to ensure Tom had a rough time of his remaining years in service. Even to this day, he looks for ways to cause problems for Tom.
